Mi caso fue que reserve para mi suegra y no pude pagar sino que tenia que llamar y no tengo mints para llamar internacional, asi que solo reserve y deje saber que se registraria a las 8pm y que alli iba a pagar, cuando ella llego No habia ninguna reservacion a su nombre. creo mi error fue hacerlo por Xpedia.

- Alvaro (6/5): Mala experiencia - Bien ubicado y digamos que aceptable, peor tuve un contratiempo muy incómodo, pues llegué tipo 9 pm del día de la reserva y me salieron con el cuento que la habían cancelado porque no estaba paga (siempre elijo pagar en el hotel y estos aceptaron esa condición). La persona de recepción se limitaba a decir lo entiendo y aducia que no había habltaciones y se rehusaba llamar a la administradora. La persona de seguridad cuando me escuchó encolerizado gritando, llamó la administradora y mágicamente apareció una habitación. Tengan cuidado con este hotel, son poco serios y la persona de recepción totalmente inservible

Maybe they didn’t want to enter the room when I was not there? Also the amenities are a little misleading. Breakfast is not for free as there’s a fee and there is no shuttle to and from the hotel. Maybe they need to update their website

- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the staff. They were very friendly and attentive to my needs. I booked the room with breakfast and it was totally worth it. The room was private and had fans to aid with the heat as El Salvador is hot! There were also rooms with A/C, but I didn’t need it. Security is 24/7 and hotel is open as well. I did not like the fact that a extra fee was charged upon checking in when I pay with credit card. This should have been included in the reservation. Also, I didn’t like that the room next to mine had the TV on very loud in the early morning. I think setting rules will prevent this from happening again. Considering the location is near everything such as malls, shops, museums and 10m away from downtown by car, I will definitely recommend this place and myself will be booking again next time I go to beautiful El Salvador.

The staff at the hotel is awesome, the receptionists at the hotel recommend us very good places to visit in downtown like National Theater, National Palace, Cathedral, Central Market, most of the time we rode buses to visit places and the receptionist were very kind to draw maps and help us with directions. The hotel is very clean and has a good breakfast and it also has a very good bakery, we highly recommend to stay in this hotel, very friendly, great and helpful people, We will definitely be back to Hotel Shagul Thanks for your nice hospitality.
