• Adri (8/5): Mooi duik resort op een goede locatie - Mooie dive lodge centaal gelegen in Raja Ampat t.o.v. duiklocaties. Goede duik faciliteiten met kleine boten voor 4 tot 6 duikers aan boord. Goede bungalows en goede kwaliteit eten. De bijkomende kosten voor het duiken, transfers per boot en andere excursies per boot zijn erg duur. Het resort wordt zeer goed schoon gehouden maar de hoeveelheid plastic op en onderwater in Raja Ampat is schrikbarend.

• BiancaPaola (8/5): - L'isola è un paradiso terreste con una barriera corallina strepitosa proprio davanti alla struttura, dove si vedono squali e tartarughe. Noi abbiamo fatto le gite snorkling in posti bellissimi, loro stanno attenti alla sicurezza dandoti una boa e stando nei paraggi con la barca, le correnti possono essere forti. La struttura è carina e fanno anche dei massaggi super. La doccia ha acqua calda, il che è un lusso per le isole a Raja Ampat. Molto meglio di una home stay, ma non certo un resort di super lusso. Le lenzuola erano sporche con macchie e ho chiesto di cambiarle e me le hanno messe sempre con delle macchie. Purtroppo a volte con le correnti arrivano isole di plastica e loro non fanno nulla per toglierla, nessuno sforzo anche minimo per ripulire il mare. Il cibo non è gran che, ma dicono che sulle isole a Raja Ampat sia normale. Infine, Linda con cui si parla per l'organizzazione, non mi aveva detto che c'era la possibilità di andare direttamente da Sorong al resort con la barca privata,avrei pagato tranquillamente di più. Alcuni ospiti lo hanno fatto.. A noi invece ha fatto prendere il ferry pubblico che è una tortura con aria condizionata sparata a 10 gradi. Inoltre cosi siamo stati vincolati agli orari del ferry e non abbiamo potuto fare un'ultima gita per vedere i cavalucci marini, anche se lo avevo espressamente chiesto mi hanno detto che non potevo non prendere questo ferry...

• Agnieszka (3/5): Staff needs to be more focused and helpful - AC, quite Staff is so uninterested. They are not able to help you if you have any questions or looking for advices about area. They look they just don’t wanna interact with you.
• Manjana (1/5): Worst place to stay in Raja Ampat - Die Lage und die Tauchplätze in der Nähe. Die Erleichterung bei der Abreise. Wir haben das Resort aufgrund der Lage gewählt. Uns war bewusst, dass die Preise hier überteuert sind (2 Tauchgänge 139 €, 1 Tauchgang 133€, Lunch 20 €, Transfer ab Sorong 1200 €!). Aber dass die Unterbringung dem Standard eines einfachen Homestays entspricht, hat uns sehr erschrocken. Die positiven Bewertungen können wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Eine Komplettsanierung ist längst überfällig (Schimmel im Bad und an der Klimaanlage, Feuchtigkeitsflecken an der Zimmerdecke, uralte Möbel, fleckige Bettwäsche). Hinzu kommt ein modriger Geruch und jede Menge Dreck. Die Auflagen für die Sonnenliegen und Handtücher sind völlig verdreckt, verfärbt und löchrig. Das Essen war sehr durchwachsen. Teilweise wurde es mehrfach fritiert und stundenlang in Wärmebehälter gelagert. Beim Personal herrschte eine unheimliche Stimmung (kein Lachen, kein Teamwork). Vermutlich müssen sie vom Trinkgeld leben. Den Tauchguide zu wechseln oder sich einer anderen Gruppe anzuschließen (um Kosten aufzuteilen) ist nicht möglich. Die Luft aus der Tauchflasche hat sehr stark nach Kunststoff geschmeckt, was regelrechte Übelkeit hervorgerufen hat Es wird nichts investiert - weder in die Ausstattung noch ins Personal. Wir bereuen unseren Aufenthalt und raten dringend davon ab, diese Machenschaften zu unterstützen.
• Noel (10/5): It was a wonderful location and a friendly helpful group of people to get to know. - The food was very good, the staff were excellent and very helpful any time we needed assistance. Several times they went out of their way to help us. The house reef was fantastic and snorkeling here was definitely a big highpoint of our visit. We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone traveling to this area. Our mosquito net was difficult to keep closed every night.

• SonneHH (10/5): Super Resort mit Malediven-Feeling! - Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Sandstrand. Überall gibt es Liegen und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Das Essen war außerordentlich gut, sogar mit Dessert-Büffet. Es gibt eine schöne Bar über dem Wasser, Grüße an Benny den Barmann. Das Resort hat viele Boote, sodass zum Tauchen nie viele Leute auf einem Boot sind und viele verschiedene Tauchplätze angefahren werden können. Am Abend vorher bespricht jeder Tauchguide mit seinen Gästen den Plan für den nächsten Tag. Einen Vorschlag zur Verbesserung wäre, die Tauchgruppen besser nach Erfahrung zusammen zu stellen.

Activités extrêmement chères par rapport aux standards de la région. Great beach getaway atmosphere and good food. Friendly helpful staff, onsite dive shop and reasonable prices for equipment rental. Reliable speedboat transfer back to ferry terminal in Waisai.

• Stefano (1/5): Soggiorno terribile - Niente I stayed for two nights and it was an absolute nightmare. It felt like being in a horror movie – the resort was completely empty, only five guests in total! And even with just five of us, the organization was a disaster. People were so bored they ended up swimming aimlessly or playing beach volleyball because there was literally nothing else to do. The food was inedible. The only beautiful thing was the island itself, but for that I have to thank Mother Nature, certainly not the resort. And to make matters worse, we paid €220 for transportation in order to have a smooth, safe transfer. But when we arrived in Sorong, nobody came to pick us up. We were left alone in the middle of the crowd, surrounded by locals pushing us for a ride. An experience to forget. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life, especially considering the extremely high nightly rate. The worst of the worst. Terrible.

Dive shop staff is really kind and informative and helpful The food was cold. Prepared before breakfast and dinner. Quality varied from one day to another. The access to the dive lodge is hard. Public ferry from Sorong 2h ( slow, poorly maintained, crew unkind, chairs broken,Embarkment slow via wooden leather . Resort did not provide speed boat from Sorong to Resort. But first needed to take public ferry.

• Mark (10/5): - This is an excellent full-service dive lodge. They meet you at Sorong airport and escort you to, on and off the ferry to Wasai, then bring you to the lodge in their boat. Staff is very attentive and professional. Rooms are well kept with a/c and private decks and 20 feet from an excellent reef. Food is well-prepared. And most important their dive boats, equipment and staff were excellent. A great place to explore the Raja Ampat reefs and dive locals.

• Lukas (7/5): Comfortable but more activities should be offered for snorklers in the afternoon. - Snorkel guides were knowledgable and nice, the rooms were really nice (superior room). The food was mostly really good and the manager tried to help where he could. We were snorklers and the snorkling excursions were expensive for what they offered (250€ for two, only half day). It felt a bit as if the employees weren't as motivitated to show guests all the amazing places in Raja Ampat as in other resorts. I wouldn't recommend to go to Wayag which is a three hour trip in each direction.
• Antoine (9/5): Lower your expectations for Raja Ampat - Honest point of view: The food is repetitive with little local seafood. The bungalows are Ok, but not luxury by any standard. The excursions are terribly overpriced. But…this is normal for Raja Ampat. If you expect luxury accommodation, you will not find it in Raja Ampat. If you come to Raja Ampat, you come for the DIVING only. For accommodations, you must lower your standards and expect to pay a high price. Having been to other Raja hotels and homestays, this one is overall pretty good as compared with other. Service was also excellent, very flexible and good english spoken. Diving, if you dont mind the high price, it was very well organised in small groups, flexibility to chose the dive site, nice boat.

• Yuliana (10/5): The Perfect base for enjoying Raja Ampat - 3rd time visiting.. Spectacular location on northern Mansuar. Great snorkling at the jetty. The hole resort is well maintained by a happy bunch. Great place if you travel with non-divers as well since there are many activities available for them while you dive. The beach is great! Even though R4 is such a vast place several of the best dive locations are within reach with speedboat. Food is great too. Big thanks to Tony and his crew for taking care of us again. Sampai jumpa lagi! ;) Nothing

• Cassandra (5/5): Passable - The staff are lovely, and the accommodation was excellent; it was clean, with a comfortable bed with aircon and a fan room. The food and the alcohol were limited. Also expensive for what they offered, $25 US buffet meals. If you are a vegetarian or vegan or have seafood allergies, you will struggle. They have no snakes available, and they state no outside meals. The boat ride to the mainland is over the top, even if they are traveling to pick people up anyway. I stayed at another more comfortable dive lodge at a better price.

I really wanted to visit the Wayag - usually a min 3 people trip. I was solo, but they arranged a small boat for me Food is very good. Staff is very friendly and resourceful to help you in anything you need It is difficult to get there ... staff pick you up and guide you I wish I had been better explained on all possible visits and areas of diving available upon my arrival Internet connection is very difficult ... although a bit expected. Only available from the lodge common area, not available from the room

Not able to serve the drinks from the drink list. the food is verry poor/not variable. lot of in amount, but not tasty. Additional activities not possible, just relax and massage.
• Leif (9/5): Paradise in the heart of one of the world's best diving locations - The location is stunning - beautiful clear water, peaceful surroundings, and incredible marine life. The staff were warm and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and air conditioned. All dive excursions can be booked through the motel, and they're incredibly flexible with timing and frequency of dives. The wifi is very slow and only available in the reception area, but you are in the middle of an isolated island, so it's to be expected.
• Nicolaas (4/5): Beautiful on the surface but a rip off on everything else - We are a couple that wanted to go to Raja Ampat for a long time. We decided to start our journey and first stay in Waisai at Hamueco Dive Resort and spend our last week at Raja Ampat Dive Lodge. Raja Ampat Dive lodge did a lot of effort in how it looks. The garden and the buildings are beautiful. Our dive guide/ instructor Rasul was very good and friendly. He made our stay at Raja Ampat Dive Lodge. From the beginning to the end of our stay there where a few things that we found challenging at Raja Ampat Dive Lodge. Constantly we had the feeling they where trying to rip us of or to do things as cheap as they can. We compared it with Alibaba, it all seems beautiful but under the surface it's all cheap. During our stay a Liveaboard boat from the same owners of the hotel stranded on one of the pristine coral reefs! It was stuck for days and the reef was heavily damaged. I truly wonder if the owners will do anything to make up for this awful incident. Employees: The employees where nice. However this is hotel doesn't seem to employ any local people only people from Java. Transportation cost: If you stay at Raja Ampat Dive Lodge you have to take a boat from the ferry Waisai to the hotel. We have asked the hotel a few times what the price was for picking us up from the ferry. They gave many different prices all of them absurd high (towards 250 USD pp). We arranged transportation ourselves because the hotel asks an absurd high amount and we paid 800.000 (50 EUR) one way 2 persons. Other guests went to the village next to the hotel and they arranged a boat to bring them to the ferry. They paid 1.000.000 for 3 persons. The transportation fee is really a rip off and a very unwelcoming fee. Food: For the first part of our holidays we stayed at Hamueco eco dive lodge, a small scale hotel with beach bungalows. Going from them to Raja Ampat Dive lodge was a poor decision looking at the food. As the food was amazing at Hamueco and so extremely poor at Raja Ampat Dive Lodge. It all seemed unfresh or just unfrozen. It wasn't authentic. Instead of providing good Indonesian food they try to provide western food of super low quality. Also for having lunch and dinner you have to pay 25 USD/ 50 USD in total. Airco and shower: They minimize the water to almost nothing and the airco was programmed to minimal cooling.
• Robin (5/5): beautiful place but not worth the extreme prices! - Bali style hotel, bathroom and airco at your room is luxury in Raja Ampat. House reef is okay, cool that they have walking sharks around their mangrove area. prices are extreme. if we would knew everything was this expensive we would never have gone. a 2 hours transfer from the lodge to Waisai was (+€150!!) with their boat. other stays would ask about €45. so extremely overpriced. lunch and dinner cost $50 and also way to expensive. food is good, but mostly semi warm and the price too high!
• Christine (3/5): Great location, terrible service - The location is wonderful, the bungalows are are very nice and the staff is mostly friendly. Diving/ snorkeling trips great (although super expensive compared to other operators in the area which you are not allowed to use however if you stay there) - The food is absolutely terrible - and I mean terrible to the point of inedible a lot of the time, people are grumpy because they are so hungry and the staff just doesn't care. I had one (one!!) nice meal there, which was pasta (to my surprise) and so I ordered it again and it was terrible. I mentioned it and they said oh, ok, we'll cook it like before - and it was terrible again. The cook came out and told me they didn't have any tomatoes, what was he to do! Well.... he could have told me in the morning when we spoke at length about the quality of their food and that particular pasta dish as well, then I wouldn't have ordered it. And it really isn't my fault if they can't plan their shopping. They only had 6-8 guests staying while we were there, what are they going to do when they are fully booked. - They always try to get you to eat the buffet, which really isn't worth it at 50 USD (terrible as well according to the other guests). They tried to tell us - after we had already eaten a la carte the first night - that they did not have a la carte. - They tried to rip us off on the bill and weren't even embarassed about it. We were really really ill one day (and they didn't even ask if anything was the matter with us - and they must have noticed with the small number of guests they had) and didn't eat - so they charged us 100 USD for buffet for two people even though we didn't eat anything all day. Then they charged us double for a snorkeling trip, which meant another 250 USD overcharge - If you want to go diving or snorkeling you have to chase them - they want to make the money with it, but it is hard to get there. One day plus the evening we were looking for somebody to help us with this and couldn't find anybody who was willing to talk to us about it, and the next morning the manager came to us "Oh, you are not diving today?" - we could have cheerfully strangled him.

• Federica (8/5): Very good - the location is amazing and the hotel is wonderful, reception staff and dive center are perfect. the restaurant is not special, there is a la carte menu but at the end you cannot look at the menu, but you should decide in the morning for the food of the entire day. snacks/fruits not during main meals was not present, I expected more.
• Harrison (10/5): Relaxing Getaway - Raja Ampat Dive Lodge was an amazing place to stay for a relaxing 2 week getaway. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the lodge was clean and the diving in Raja Ampat was amazing. It was very easy to organise day trips to suit our schedule and interests, as well as diving and snorkelling at many different sites around Mansuar.
