De klantvriendelijkheid van de baliemedewerkster compenseerde dit weer wel Terwijl de uitchecktijd uiterlijk 11.00 is, klopte 9.45 de schoonmaakster aan. Er zijn geen labels ‘niet storen / schoonmaak kan’) voorhanden om dit te voorkomen

Automatic check in service easy, but does not allow for any privacy when others are waiting behind you, which is not ideal when travelling alone as all details, including room number and all personal details are visible to those behind you. Room facilities simple, but sufficient for my trip.

- Andrew (4/5): - We booked this room last minute, driving through the area. We checked in right before the front desk closed-there is no available free parking on site (in the parking ramp attached to the hotel, we were told we could pay $250 for the night, that is not a typo, $250 for parking for less than 12 hours,) and we had to park several blocks away. This appears to be a few select rooms in an apartment building. We got 2 rooms on 2 separate floors, right near the elevator. There were 2 beds in each room, one of the beds being a cot, which squeaked every time the person sleeping moved. One of our pillows was filthy with what appeared to be makeup. Unfortunately, by the time we realized it, the front desk was closed. The rooms were very warm-the windows were huge, and the street was very noisy all night long-we also didn't feel safe having them open for how big they were. There were also metal shades outside of the window that you could close, which felt weird. We were a few blocks from some restaurants. This room was very overpriced for what you got-both for the space and the cleanliness of the property. We would not stay here again or recommend this property at all as our experience was very disappointing.

However, the bed is probably the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on and I felt like things were biting me. Sure enough, I Woke up with bites all down my legs. It’s very bad. If the room had not caused me to be bitten up so badly I would have rated this a 4/5. But the bites make it a hard pass until the bed situation is resolved.

Beim Frühstück gab es alles, aber in kleiner Auswahl. (Z.B. Eier nur gekocht, Joghurt aber keinen Quark) Für mich war das aber völlig ausreichend. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

- Alexander (8/5): Sauberes Hotel mit Luft nach oben.... - Ein gutes zentral gelegenes Hotel. Leider sind die Zimmer irgendwie unpersönlich und wirken nicht einladend. Es fehlt eine Garderobe sowie eine Kofferablage. Das Frühstück ist gut nur leider ist die Bestuhlung grauenvoll. Man hat das Gefühl von den wackeligen Stühlen nach vorne abzurutschen, gruselig.

- Barrie (8/5): SUPER LOCATION AND COMFORTABLE SUITE … - Gaining access was a nitemare. Electronic access has its challenges. We recd no call or email giving instructions and had to call. The operator was exceptional and patiently and humorously walked us thru … providing us with 2 codes, 1 being a backup code which was the one that eventually got us into the bldg and suite. A 40 minute process! The suite was most comfortable and had cooking / kitchen features we didn’t require . HOWEVER THERE WASNT ANYWHERE TO HANG CLOTHES … cuz the closet had an armoire filled with pillows and comforters but no railing or hangers or hooks to hang clothes. In the shower there weren’t any ledges to put the beautiful bottles that were kept on the floor. Attn to details and decor missed a couple of practical basic amenities. Great location with easy access to all touristic features .

- Nina (4/5): - Wir haben als Familie (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind) hier während einer Woche übernachtet. Als sehr positiv haben wir die Lage der Work Life Residence empfunden - direkt neben dem Bahnhof Winterthur und 100m von der Altstadt! Negativ war, dass die Dachterasse wegen Umbauten geschlossen war und das Hotel nichts auf Website etc. erwähnt hatten. Noch mehr gestört hat es uns, dass die ohnehin nicht sehr hochwertigen Möbel in desolatem Zustand waren. Im Aufenthaltsraum hatten von 10 Stühlen mehr als die Hälfte nur noch 1 bis 2 Schrauben. Unser zweijähriger Sohn ist deshalb schwer von einem der Stühle gestützt. Das Problem wurde nach einem wütenden Telefonat grösstenteils behoben, jedoch wurden in unserem Zimmer Henkel etc. trotz Beschwerde nicht richtig angeschraubt. Nach zweimaligem Nachfragen wurde dann zumindest der Luft-Abzug in der Dusche gereinigt (Millimeter-dicke Staubschicht). Schade auch, dass es keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer gab. Last but not least: Das Parkplatz-Handling wurde sehr unklar kommuniziert - ein weiteres Optimierungspotenzial aus unserer Perspektive. Der Kollege vom Frühstücks-Raum war sehr hilfsbereit und professionell! Generell war das Frühstück reichhaltig und schön aufbereitet.

Incredibly quiet given its location, had a great night’s sleep (although we had friends staying on another floor who were disturbed by loud music at night, presumably on the opposite side of the building). Parking spaces are very limited so would suggest to call ahead to book. Breakfast was good, service also very helpful. Would stay again.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Sehr netter Empfang. Die Dame an der Rezeption war äusserst flexibel und hat uns erlaubt unsere teuren E-bikes im Hotelinnern abzustellen, da wir diese nicht draussen lassen wollten. (Kleiner Wermutstropfen, wir mussten diese über eine längere Treppe tragen)

- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a nice hotel in Winterthur centrally located to shopping, restaurants and Old Towne. Our triple room was large enough for our family, had a clean bathroom and comfortable beds. The shower door is strange only offering half an opening which causes water to leak out into the rest of the bathroom. The other major faux pas was the lack of air conditioning which was a frequent complaint amongst guests according to staff. Our room was located next to a very busy street so you could hear traffic at all hours of the night. At least it had mechanized blinds that you could open and close with a push of a button. The breakfast in the morning is pleasing although they serve the exact same thing every day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed here during Europe’s heat wave. So, my experience might be unusual. There is no kind of air conditioning in this hotel. None, anywhere. That is pretty standard for Europe, especially for a budget hotel such as this. However, these are changing times and during such a dangerous heat wave, the hotel should at least get some fans. The only option to avoid heat stroke is to sleep with the windows open. But you’ll need the ear plugs provided as the street noise is unusually loud at night. That being said, everything else was great. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was lovely. The rooms are super clean. I bet this hotel is a great stay in winter. Just not in summer.
