Guest Reviews
- Ty (10/5): -
- Laurie (8/5): - Great location. Clean and comfortable. Check in instructions were incorrect which was annoying but we only waited about 45 minutes for a response so that helped. Stairs are very steep and narrow so if your mobility is not great, beware.
- Stéphanie (9/5): -
- Massimo (10/5): Casa confortevole ben arredata - Arredamento molto piacevole bagno grande bella doccia Ottima per due persone in 4 diventa stretta
- Benno (1/5): Nice location, terrible customer service and checkin - Good location Worst customer service i have encountered ever.
First of all the appartment was not ready at check in time - but even worse I only found out about this after i contacted them, because although they spam you with mails about checking in and submitting a deposit, they only mention that they will contact you on the day of arrival, about how to do the check-in. We never received any information about. After trying the third option of ways to contact them, I finally got a reply. The reply was: check-in between 4pm and 9pm doesnt mean that I can check in at 4, it just means that its ready at a certain time. It was generally a very rude and unfriendly customer service that borderline threatened me about “meeting me there” although it was a self-check in.
This is slightly scary because there is no way to close the Appartement, because there is a key on a chain in the lock box near entry. Also they mention that we could leave our luggage in the appartment, but then they cant ensure that nothing was damaged by the previous tenant, so if that would be the case they had to charge us.
I really don’t expect to see my deposit again, trust me, don’t book this!
Really cant recommend this to anyone!
- Mylene (10/5): - Emplacement très bien situé.
Très propre

- Phillip (10/5): Excellent value and location. - Great location. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Good wifi. Rute, the hostess, was wonderfully informative and welcoming. Everything was great. Only warning is if you have bad knees. Only one flight of stairs up, but they are steep. Also, old plumbing so you cannot flush TP down the toilet. You have to put in trash and then take it out to the garbage.
- Regina (9/5): - Location, cleanness, ease of communication with owner. Staircase, electric kettle was broken

Very central and comfortable apartment in the center of Lisbon
Looks like the photos and everything is working perfectly
- Sarah (8/5): - Convenient location, gorgeous bathroom comfortable beds and nice linen Could do with a few more mirrors. Only one in bathroom
- Daniel (10/5): - Tudo perfeito no apartamento.
- Maria (8/5): Comfortable and a good size - Spacious - everything we needed for a long weekend Bar up the road noisy at night but as bedroom at back didn’t effect sleep . Steep stairs to apartment
- Said (8/5): -
- Bradley (10/5): Very good - Very clean and practical
In the centre of Lisbon
- Debbie (10/5): Paz perfect 👌 - It was clean, lovely location.
- Juan (8/5): - Muy limpio. Reforma reciente.
- Tanguy (9/5): Très beau pied à terre pour visiter Lisbonne pendant quelques jours. - L’emplacement et les recommandations
- Terri (8/5): - Nice looking apartment with everything you would need Master bed smelled like pee, stairs were a bit hard to climb because the tread was so marrow.
- Charlotte (9/5): Perfect location and the host was extremely helpful - Great location Noise of the air conditioning unit
- Vodclo (10/5): -
- Malika (7/5): Good -
- Yasmin (8/5): Nice and cozy, but 0 sound proofing - It was a convenient location, the apartment was very clean and it was easy to get to the city centre It was very loud - no sound proofing. The entrance door makes a loud sound, so if someone is coming at night, you’ll definitely wake up. Thankfully it was not the busiest street, but we could hear everything from the upstairs apartment. It’s a little too pricy for the value, but a nice apartment
- Samuli (8/5): Beautiful apartment in a charming location, in great condition and comfortable. - Beautiful apartment in a charming location, in great condition and comfortable. A small water damage in the bathrdoom ceiling occurred during the stay. Only a minor inconvenience for us. We were surprised that the company did not come immediately to fix it but waited for our check out.
- Aleksandr (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Irish Solo traveler - Lovely apartment and great location
- Vaiva (7/5): Good - Very good location with most attractions reachable by foot. Accomodation had all necessary equipment for 1 weeks stay. There was yellow stains on the sofa and blankets, so some blankets should be renewed.
Also, the apartment itself was pretty wet. Even towels couldn't dry in the bathroom.
- Lewdel (8/5): perfectly fine - Good location once I figured out where it was in relation to the rest of the city. dark stairs and hallway at night
- Sally (8/5): Nice apartment in good location - Light and airy apartment, perfect location for us visiting family. Very clean and very helpful member of staff, Rute, who let us in and sent loads of useful information.
Close to small, pretty, buzzing park but in a nice, quiet location. Kitchen could do with a bit of updating, worktop needs replacing but had everything for our needs
- Natalya (9/5): Very nice value for the price overall! Thank you! - We enjoyed our stay at this apartment! Location was excellent - 13 minutes walk from the center (chiado shopping and restaurants). Beds were comfortable and apartment spacious and clean. Loved the little balcony and the beautiful old neighborhood! There is a first door outside and the lock there was tricky. Had to spend some time to learn how to use it. Eventually learned but it took some time to get used to it.
- Seán (10/5): Exceptional - All good. Nicely renovated apartment in a cool area very close to cafes, restaurants etc and a 10/15 min walk to the tourist areas. Only things that could be improved would be the towels are very old and could be replaced and the main bedroom door is very difficult to open if you shut it fully
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (9/5): Superb - Clean and quiet area of the town. Excellent food almost next door. You did need to walk a bit to get anywhere. The area is hilly so not suitable if walking is an issue. No 28 tram no longer runs into the area.
- Jennifer (8/5): We loved our stay in Lisbon and the apartment made it so much more enjoyable. - The apartment was great, very roomy and the kitchen was very well equipped. Bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Good air con and lovely big windows opening to a small balcony. Location was good once we got our bearings and walkable to centre. Very happy that there was a washing machine too. Bathroom needed another light bulb and a plug for the basin. We would have liked a toaster and would suggest manuals for appliances would be very useful. When we stayed there were a group of young men in the apartment above us so it was quite noisy at times, especially when they came home at 4-5am!
- Eden (9/5): Lovely base to explore Lisbon from - Location is great, the apartment is very clean and comfortable. Check in was super easy and the host gave us a map and send a load of recommendations for everything we might need in the area, which was really useful. Only minor downside was that the property smells of smoke - unsure if it's because guests some in it, or if it's coming from other apartments!
- Andriana (9/5): In general everything was good, despite the negative reviews I'd seen about apartment. - The apartment had two separate zones - living room&kitchen and bedroom. There were all the stuff you need on the kitchen, nespresso and extra coffee for that. Also, there was an iron and board for that what was very good. The location is also great, next to legendary 28 tram stop, a good cafeterias were close to the apartment. The room wasn't ready on time, so we should wait in the small area on the stairs. Some towels were not fresh(I guess smbd forgot to take it away). Small balcony was really small, no way to put some clothes to dry on the sun. Very narrow street to use the car(taxi is 50-50, but parking car is very dangerous in this street).
- Giulia (7/5): Good - The surroundings were quiet and we loved the position.a lot of light coming from the windows Opening the key box was very hard. There was an horrible smell coming out of the sink.
Bed wasn't double but a french size, it was ok us but it could be very small if you're tall. The apartment is as the picture but it needs some maintenance
- Laura (4/5): For a short stay, just arriving in Lisbon or leaving Lisbon, it's fine in a pinch. - We thought the location was good and the layout was ok, shower worked, there was air conditioning, etc. Well, it started off sketchy. The first message I got from them was a sketchy link that was a scam. I received another message apologizing for that and then they proceeded to ask for a credit card deposit, along with digital proof of ID and city tax (which I'm fully aware of being legit as we travel all the time). It was too late to cancel so I paid the deposit. I understand that hotels sometimes take a deposit, but since this was an apartment, I was confused. Then they proceeded to tell me that they have many, many apartments and treat them like hotels. So, expect to be treated as such. So, fine. When all was said and done, I got my deposit back and it was fine. But it really increased my anxiety before even setting foot in the place.
Although, I do have to point a few things about the apartment. The stairs are very skinny and steep (it was fine for us), but for people with mobility issues, it's good to keep that in mind. Also, the bed was very uncomfortable. It was also listed as a queen and it's a double, smaller anyways. The check in was a late time of 4pm but we didn't arrive until 6pm and the cleaner was just finishing. Also - the sewer smell was strong.
- Kateryna (7/5): Beautiful & cozy apartment, but terrible customer service. - The property was clean and cozy. A bottle of water, coffee, and tea were provided. Convenient location, not too far from the main attractions. The customer service on the day of checking-in was terrible. None of their phone numbers worked. They ruined the day of my vacation. The story is too long to tell, but to sum up, either they were trying to collect some of my money or they really were hacked, but just weird why none of the phone numbers they provided worked. Why they didn't call/email to make sure all was good with their guest, as they promised some special accommodation? Lots of questions with no answers.
- Sofia (4/5): Disappointing, steep staircase, very noisy neighbours. - It is a good location, close to Santos train station and has good access to buses and trams. Be aware that it is an old part of the city and streets are narrow, steep and uneven. Very close to Sao Bento, the Portuguese Parliament. Lisbon is a great city to visit, wonderful for vegans! Green Beans Vegan Market shop is very close to the flat. There are steep steps to the main door and then again to the flat. I cannot recommend to people with difficulty in moving or those who are not fit.
The flat is old and small, the hard floors are very noise. The neighbours arriving close to midnight and later always woke us up. Poor sound insolation and it is very disturbing if you are a light sleeper (or a normal one..).
The shower hose was torn, making it almost impossible to take a shower (it was 30 C in Lisbon and we really needed at least a daily shower, sometimes two!), and the tap in the kitchen sink was loose making it dangerous to operate with hot water. These issues and others (such as the stain on the sofa cover) were immediately reported when we arrived but only fixed at the end of day two. Most times no one answers the phone even thought the company sends an email with three phone numbers. They did not sound very concerned with quickly solving the issues (I do not believe that they did not know about the faults).
There are several things in need of attention in the flat. Also as the building sits in a corner where there are rubbish bins, almost every morning and evening there was litter scattered all around the street and next to the building door.
Stay at your own risk...I will not stay there again for sure.
They ask for a 150 euros deposit before you arrive. I am still waiting to be refunded (I checked out yesterday morning).
- Peter (7/5): Great little apartment in a central location - The location was excellent however the road to the apartment is very narrow so it's not possible for taxis to take you right outside the apartment. You need to go to the main road which is approx 50 metres away. The shower leaks and needs attention
Also there was no mention that you need to adjust the length of the key to access the apartment. We arrived late and needed to call for help as there was no explanation what to do in the instructions.
- Lukáš (8/5): Very good - Late check in (16:00). And we even had to wait another hour on the stairway because the apartment wasnt ready.
- Jeff (8/5): Nice apartment near Tram 28 in an old part of the city - Staff and communication were really good. Location was near 28 Tram which was helpful Steps to get to the first floor were really steep and the street very narrow for cars to get though
- Andy (8/5): Very good -
- Nikola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manon (9/5): Superb -
- Mariia (8/5): Excellent price-quality ratio - Nice location, the apartment has everything you need for cooking, there is a coffee machine. Air conditioning in every room. The staff is very friendly. When it rains, it drips from decorative windows and from ventilation.
- Justine (9/5): Fab short break, lovely apartment. - So clean & well kept. Not good if you have mobility issues, very steep staircase.
- Satoshi (4/5): Nice, apart from the doors and toilet - People who administrated the property were nice. Locks at the front door and upstairs door are real challenge. You need a bit of specialist training to open those doors. I don't know why the owner doesn't spend little money to replace those locks to avoid bad reviews. Or probably they don't mind bad reviews.
And toilet didn't flush properly until the plumber came to fix it. I will not come back to this property when I will be in Lisbon next time.
- Natalie (3/5): Terrible host - The apartment was comfortable and in a nice area. I would give it 8/10 if it wasn't for the poor host experience Beware of this unprofessional and dismissive host. I left my jacket in the apartment and the host asked for €30 to be paid into a private Paypal account as 'friends' to post it to the UK. I agreed and after some prompting the host messaged me a tracking number. Expected delivery times were 3-5 days. Three weeks later, the jacket still hasn't arrived and the tracking number is providing no further information. I asked the host to please help by following up on my missing item as the sender. The host refused with the excuse that they couldn't do anything to help. This is incorrect and I provided evidence from the carriers website that they needed to follow up from their end. They continued to refuse. I contacted the carrier by telephone and they confirmed that they need the sender's acceptance slip to be able to track my missing jacket. I'm still hoping that the host will do the right thing and provide these details. At the moment I'm out of pocket €30 and I have lost my jacket. Such a disappointing experience!
- Marina (9/5): I would repeat - Good location, very quiet and calm! It is perfect for a couple, everything was perfect. Having salt in the kitchen would be great:)
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martina (9/5): Cozy and nice 😊 - Cozy and very nice apartment . Well located and fully furnished
- Maren (9/5): Superb - Perfect for our trip in Lisboa
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Victoria (8/5): Very good - Amazing location, good space, big living area and hosts very Helpful The door locks are old and easily jammed, hard to get in and out which can be quite stressful. Easy thing to get fixed and would make the place perfect :)
- Larissa (8/5): Overall it was great. There’s no elevator and the stairs are very steep so not good if you have heavy luggage. - Great location, quiet street, it had air conditioning, washer and fully equipped kitchen. No sop for the washer.
It could have extra bedding.
- Violeta (8/5): Very good - The location is good, a quiet part of Lisbon. The host is very kind. Wifi does not cover the whole apartment. The bathroom is not in line with expectations, the tub and toilet are old, but everything is clean.
- Gabriele (9/5): Great place! - The apartment was really clean. It is in a really good spot from where you can reach most of the city's attractions. Huge shout-out to Rute who was there at our arrival and has shared to us many useful information and suggestions! There are no electrical sockets in the bathroom. I think it's due to the structure of the room itself but you can work around it!
- Rodrigo (9/5): Superb -
- Tamara (7/5): It's okay for sleeping. - The sights were close by walk or by tram (eg. the stop of the tram 28 is near). The owner was nice and helpful. It is ok for one/two nights, when you just want to sleep - and whatever would you like to? It's Lisboa! :)
A beautiful cat in the neighborhood (in the window). ;) The front door could be opened with much difficulty, we were suffering long minutes with it every time. There were not windows of the two bedrooms. There were a lightning yard (lichthof) for the ventilation. It was not perfect. The doors of the two bedrooms and the lichthof could be opened/closed with much difficulty (old building, old doors?). The flat is dark, because it has only windows of the living room.
- Matthew (8/5): Very good - The property is a little dated, but they’ve done a nice job of trying to remodel some of the rooms. It was comfortable and they supplied fans in the other way keeping it cool. The apartment above us on our last night thought that a Thursday night was a party night so I was loud and it lasted for a long time and it was very hard to get some sleep that night
- Ruth (10/5): wonderful stay, great location and would recommend!! - such an amazing stay - thank you so much! this is a perfect location (a little away from the very crowded and tourist areas which was lovely) and so much to do and see around the area - plus such great transport and walking links. there are a number of lovely shops and restaurants which I would recommend checking out.
the flat itself is spacious and comfortable and great value for money! we loved staying here and will be recommending to others.
hosts are LOVELY, they were so helpful with recommendations and navigating the city and we appreciated being met by someone as we arrived. honestly such a great stay and I can’t wait to be back!
- Vicky (9/5): Superb -
- Olaf (3/5): Poor - Door handle of bathroom torn off and not repaired during our stay.
Strong sewer smell in bathroom.
Narrow bed, very steep stairs.
Backup keys for front door of the house not working.
Codes to doors not delivered before arrival.
WiFi password not posted in the apartment, we had to call for it.
We got three numbers to call, response only on one did somebody pick up.
One evening we found a stranded tourist in front of the house. He had announced late arrival, between 9 and 10 pm, but no phone number worked for him. He had to find another place to stay.
- Maggie (9/5): Superb - Fabulous location easy to walk into the city centre lots of cafes restaurants and shops nearby.
Lovely crockery, utensils, lots of soap etc The stairs up to the apartment
- Joyce (10/5): Exceptional - Location: Close to bus stops, stores, and a right next to a high rated foodshop.
Communication: Precise, not overwhelming, very timely and prompt.
Host and person who welcomed us: Rute was very pleasant and gave us sound financial advice for going around Lisbon and Sintra.
Apartment itself: Very clean, pristine, no sign of wear and tear, very spacious for a couple. We stayed for 5 days and split sleeping areas a night between living room (sofa is a sofa bed), master bedroom, and the extra room.
Note: During weekend it was noisy upstairs but this did not bother us at all. It was a vibe. Rest of the days, silent and calm from 9 pm - 7 am.
- Turazashvili (9/5): Superb -
- Tihomir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simonamariapagano (3/5): Poor - Position There apartment was a cold room, the heating was poor . The small room have only one electric plaque and could not charge phone whole using the stove . Bathroom without heating. Was very uncomfortable showering since there was no heating. Not recommended for cold season.
- Tommok (1/5): Bad - location ok no heating in december. we was sick after 3 night 8C outside = 10C inside at night. I boked apatrment with heating nad there was no heater in room. after argue with owner they didnt bring heater in 3 days.... no comment... i recived some cashback to booking wallet but i spend 3xmore on medicine after we'v got sick (sleeping with hats on etc...)
- High_co_coon (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, clean and comfy.
You have everything you need in the apt and also outside everything is near by in walkable distance.
- Anja (6/5): Great apartment, bad management - The location of the apartment is great, it's close to all the best restaurants and bars, but in a small quiet street where you'll be able to get a good night's sleep. Bus and tram stations are nearby, and they'll easily get you to other parts of the city. The tram 28 will be your best friend, since it stops right in front of the apartment. The apartment is renovated and completely equipped with everything you may need for a longer stay in Lisbon (except towels). It has a complete kitchen (I loved their ceramic cups!), washing machine, iron and a small ironing board. The apartment is located on the second floor, and we were able to keep the windows and balcony doors always open to let the fresh air in and dry our laundry. The apartment itself is a 9/10, our only complaints would be the size of the bed and the cleanliness of the couch cover. The place is run by a not very well organized company. They communicate exclusively through Booking and every time you write them a different person answers, and they don't scroll up to see what you or their colleagues wrote before, so you often have to repeat something you already wrote. They require a credit card deposit of 250€, but the check out is contactless, which is not really reassuring. You have the feeling that they can say whatever is not ok at the apartment is your fault and take the deposit, but you're already out of Portugal and can't do anything about it. It didn't happen to us, they were very fair, but just having that feeling of uncertainty influences your renting experience. We also had some hiccups during check in, but that turned out to be ok.
At the apartment you'll get one small and one large towel per person. Since we were staying for five days (and it was hot, so you shower two times a day, plus I was on my period, so there was a lot of showering going on), we requested additional towels, and they asked us to pay extra for them. Having extra towels for guests staying more than one night is a cheap investment that can greatly influence the guest's experience. It made us want to buy towels at a nearby store and just leave them at the apartment for future guests. We ended up washing our towels after each shower, which probably cost them more in electricity and water bills than it would giving us extra towels. Also, keep in mind you will have to buy the washing detergent, there was none at the apartment.
The place was clean except for the couch which had nasty yellow stains on the cover.
The bed was quite small.
The washing machine had some black goo on the rubber which we had to clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Contacts were quick and adequate except for the most important one at the end of the stay which went ignored.
the noise from upstairs was clear and close. If you want to rent this apartment, opt for the third floor. Also, the no-refund policy is antiquated and the tv only works if your phone is aligned with the building's wifi.
Other than not staying in a hotel there is really no reason to not stay in a hotel.
