• Afsana (1/5): - Really dusty and dirty room. Not clean. Paid for overpriced taxi from the airport. Felt like they tried to rip us off because they knew we were foreigners. Stayed there for 8 hours and left without staying over night.

• Guest (4/5): 很糟糕 - 地理位置优越，设计风格很喜欢 设施陈旧，洗手间花洒根本不能使用，出水小得很，根本无法洗澡。房间没有WI-FI，床铺很脏，床垫塌陷，床单枕套看起来都像没有换洗，体验感极差，还在洗脚带了睡袋，也是一晚上没睡好。前台服务员很不专业，价钱算错几次，入住当晚已经付费，还多给了五千小费。离店退房又追出来说按欧元当天牌价我还需要补7000！简直太离谱！
• Claire (9/5): A wonderful stay in a grand old Malagasy manor, great rooms and food. - Lovely stately old house. I absolutely loved my room (huge windows on two walls!! A balcony!! Amazing view!) and the bathroom was large and comfortable too. Staff was super welcoming and flexible. Food at the restaurant is really good, especially the braised beef and the pork! Breakfast is a selection of pastries and a hot drink, yum. I thoroughly enjoyed having some hot showers and working from the desk in my room and the rooftop terrace. The terrace view is amazing and everyone is so nice to speak with, I recommend this place. Bed is a little hard and water pressure not super strong, and the room is fairly dark in the evenings (lights not very bright). But really, these are very minor things, I loved my stay and extended it.

The only thing that would be good is to hammer in the nails that stick out here and there in the floor, because I almost broke my flip-flops.
• Mahmoud (10/5): Couldn’t have picked a better hotel or a better location. Loved it! - First and foremost the staff was so very friendly, warm, and helpful! The building is very nice and seems to be an old mansion. Has a good terrace to enjoy the view, a restaurant with all you can wish for and they even helped us out with astonishing vegetarian food. The taste of everything was really fantastic! Everyone was so super friendly. Aiky, the nice lady from reception speaks English very well and helped us so so much. Apart from being all welcoming she also found us the best private driver you can wish for! The included breakfast consisted of pastry and hot drinks only. But hey ho, it was free due to Genius benefits. Just bring something with you if you need more.
• Rajive1007 (1/5): Negative rating - Nothing Everything. If only, it could be given negative rating. The room I was given initially could not connect to the WiFi. I was moved to another room. In that room: 1. the shower was broken (was later fixed); 2. the bed sheet was dirty (see photo); 3. Gap in the window with no curtains leading to cold at night ( see photo) 4. Noise, karaoke music till late. On booking.com, it is advertised as soundproof. 5. No running water for shower or very less water pressure. 6. Toilet not functioning well. Water running all night.(see photo) I paid for 7 nights and stayed only 1 night. When I asked for a refund, the owner refused. I even asked for a partial refund. That was also refused. I asked to talk to the owner but he refused. He replied on Booking.com claiming the issues were a lie, but the pictures don't lie. Even Booking.com did not provide assistance despite being Genius Level 3. Be careful travellers..stay away from this property. It's a complete rip off.. I hope Booking.com investigate this property and remove from it from it's listing to protect future customers.
• Fenosoa (1/5): Do not get trapped - Nothing. It was the worst experience in a while. Very bad experience. Nothing what they put on booking.com was true. The light was too low (please see photos), I could not work on my laptop. There was no water in the room (please see photos), so the staff was trying to fix it but could not and asked me to use another room's bathrooms. The wifi was not working. And above this, a lot of noise from karaoke though they claim on booking.com that it is soundproof. The place is very dirty, just ask someone to check even the corridors (photo). They asked me to pay when I checked in, even for stay that is not yet due and said that they do not give receipt until we check out. They did not give receipt. They did not refund when we ask for refund or partial refund, through booking.com. The staff asked us to return the key even if we have already paid for 7 nights as they said that they are going to give the room to other people. We were asking for water and gave feedbacks on the light on day 1 and the management was aware of it . The management disappear once they got the money and asked their staff to deal with us. They refused to talk to us. It is a place i will never recommend to anyone. Booking.com should review this hotel to avoid that other people got scammed like us.

• Patrick (8/5): Excellent budget option - Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location and amazing views of Tana from the terrace! Great value for money but you get what you pay for: it looks like the hotel hasn't been renovated or refurbished since the 70s. The bed was terrible

• Eva (10/5): Beautiful place to stay for a work retreat and/or tourism - What an amazing view! (I was given the room with perhaps the best view, third floor terrace.) And the entire room was beautiful—spacious, so many windows, multiple options for sitting and writing/working at. It was a marvelous place to get some work done, very friendly staff, and short walking distance from some tourist attractions and good food and drink places. I'm a vegetarian, so although the restaurant menu didn't have many vegetarian options, the chef took care to prepare dishes specifically for me, and even added extras in honor of my birthday (which occurred while I was there). Although technically I had several wifi signals in the room, the only reliable signal was in the restaurant (the staff kindly pointed me to the area with the best signal). There was also loud music downstairs, which was also still audible up in my room. This wasn't an issue with headphones in, but is something to consider if you're sensitive to noise. Also, there are a lot of stairs and narrow doorways without any elevator (it's an old building), so if you have mobility concerns I'd look elsewhere.

• Roland (8/5): Overall, I enjoyed staying at that hotel very much. J'ai vraiment aime mon sejour dans cet hotel. - Breakfast was good. Le petit dejeuner etait bon. The toilet smelled bad at times. Les WC sentaient un peu mauvais.
