- Alison (10/5): A beautiful guest house near Kandy with stunning views, exceptional hospitality, and delicious food - WOW—what a view! Our gorgeous room had French doors opening onto a small terrace with the most stunning views across the hills surrounding Kandy. Although you feel completely immersed in nature (monkeys included!), the hotel is just a short tuk-tuk ride down the hill to the beautiful town of Kandy. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and incredibly attentive—they could not do enough for us. Breakfast was an amazing spread of delicious food, and they even prepared packed sandwiches for lunch and celebration cakes during the Sri Lankan New Year while we were there. We were truly blown away by their generosity and loved every minute of our stay in this elegant property. I would highly recommend staying here while visiting Kandy. nothing

- Angelika (10/5): sehr gemütliches Hotel, wunderschöne Aussicht, toller Service - Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit traumhafter Sicht, etwas ausserhalb von Kandy aber alles schnell erreichbar via Tuk Tuk. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet, dazu ein komfortables Bett und Balkon mit Aussicht. Das Frühstück war aussergewöhlich gut, mit vielen Sri Lankanischen Spezialitäten (plus Lunchpaket), und das Personal super nett.
- Harald (9/5): - Die Lage mit Blick auf die andere Talseite ist atemberaubend. Das Personal ist super nett und das Frühstück so imposant und reichhaltig, dass wir uns noch etwas eingepackt haben. Bei der Abreise wurde uns dann separat eine Lunchbox mitgegeben. Shiva kümmert sich um alles, vom Tuk Tuk bis zur Besorgungen der Karten für das Cultural Dancing Center. Vielen Dank dafür. Das Zimmer ist zwar etwas kleiner, aber wir konnten den imposanten Vorraum mitbenutzen. Es gibt nur relativ wenig Ablageflächen und Haken. So richtig weiß man nicht, wohin mit den Handtüchern.
- Molly (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at Serenity Hill Oasis. It is a really lovely calm and peaceful spot, with clean rooms and an amazing view. The owner was so kind and helped to arrange our activities and travel for us, which made it so easy. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka... There was so much food and they also made us a sandwich to take away with us. We would definitely recommend this spot if you're visiting Kandy.

- Miriam (9/5): Excellent value for money stay in a beautiful home - Extraordinary little homestay with only little rooms set on one of the Kandy hills with a beautiful view onto a river, surrounding houses, and a big buddha. The house is run by a lively and outgoing family that makes you feel very welcome and taken care of. Rooms are exceptionally clean (!!) and really nicely decorated, with a good feeling and atmosphere. Warm water, kitchen facilities, water kettle, all the anemities. We only stayed for one night, but felt very at home - also due to the lovely interaction with the owners, who provided great tips about the city, and had just a great hospitality overall. Being vegetarian, we were served a feast of a breakfast with continental and sir lankan items that very super tasty, really well made, filling and enough to prep you for the whole day. Kandy city center is just a small tuktuk ride away. The Napoleon picture on the wall of our room, but I took it with a smile :D Just a little oldschool.

- Ilka (9/5): Es waren zwei ruhige Nächte, mit schönem Ausblick und netten Angestellten, daher ist es mit gutem Gewissen zu empfehlen. - Man hat einen schönen Überblick, nicht über Kandy, aber über die Landschaft. Wenn ein Fahrer benötigt wurde, dann war das TuckTuck schnell vor Ort. Die Angestellten waren alle sehr, sehr nett. Es gibt wohl Kameras im Haus, aber nicht in den Zimmern. Das Gefühl beobachtet zu werden ist etwas merkwürdig.

We were also able to stay another night which was really helpful. The breakfast was amazing, around 10 dishes! We ended up staying in 3 different rooms and all of them were great, the view from the balcony is incredible. Everything was very clean. Would recommend staying here :)

- Dora Murmur (8/5): Great views of kandy hills and amazing breakfast. The owners overdo it a bit. - The views from the room are spectacular. The breakfast was an absolute feast and we got some extra food for the road. They helped with tickets to the dance show which they happened to have in the house so sold them to us (but "no commission" was repeated at least 10 times). Location is good, as it's 15min away from the city centre by tuktuk which they can call but pickme works great. Others reviews mention warm and friendly staff but we found the owners to be a bit nagging and annoying, kept repeating this or that was free of charge or commission free. Felt a bit like trying too hard or fishing for compliments. There are A LOT of stairs in the house to go to any room or common area. They don't provide lunch.

Excellent homestay, recommended. - We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the hill/mountainside, which gave different vistas every day. The bed was comfortable, the room roomy and the breakfast excellent. Service and assistance from the owner was a real help in organising different events over our six days. Recommended I can't think of anything. Tucked away in the hillside (which is one of the reasons for it being so charming.)

- Adam (9/5): We loved staying here and would recommend it as a good place to stop for one or two nights while visiting the beautiful - The staff, the views and comfort of this stay are all excellent, for one night in Kandy this was the perfect place for us. Although up a hill it does not take long to get to and the morning/evening views from our hotel balcony were majestic. A great quiet AC unit helped keep the room cool despite it being 30°+ outside. Minor points but the room could have more plug sockets. And the 3% card fee is okay but we would have made sure to have enough cash if we knew this beforehand.
- Johanna (10/5): Friendly Staff, amazing views. It’s worth every penny. - This place was great. We went for our honeymoon and how they received us couldn’t be better. They decorated our room for the occasion (nice touch) and provide us with an upgrade! We had some issues finding a tuck tuck and they help us booking one (even the return). A tuck tuck to the main temple is only around 300-400 LKR so totally worth it (specially for the beautiful views). They also helped us call the train station to check the time where the train to Ella was leaving as the website wasn’t clear (trains from Kandy are not running but you can get a driver to the first station posible - Ambewela - and then get the train from there to Ella). The hotel staff even gave us extra breakfast so we can take it to the train! And we couldn’t feel more happier to stay in here. Totally worth it staying here and highly recommend it. Rooms were also nice and confortable, and the breakfast was delicious.

Vi skulle meget tidligt op en dag og her vi vi flotte flotte madpakker med til turen. Udsigten fra værelserne er over floden og dalen er exceptionel - wauw. Værter var super søde og hjælpsomme med info om lokale seværdigheder. Virkelig value for money… Intet

Hostess helped with reliable tuktuk and a kind helper kept watch at the door giving sense of safety. Abundance of food for breakfast so kindly presented at time needed. Again, the air pollution prevented me from venturing out one day, not host’s fault, but the hill would be challenging coming back up, for most folks.

Sie hatte viele nützliche Tipps für uns. Die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend, und liegt ruhig auf einem Berg. Im Zentrum ist man trotzdem schnell. Die Unterkunft ist super (fast schon penibel) sauber, mit schönen Zimmern und sehr bequemen Betten. Das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker und so viel, dass wir uns Tüten zum einpacken haben geben lassen. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben. Nichts.

Heel uitgebreid ontbijt. Het lekkerste ontbijt tijdens onze Sri Lanka trip. Prijs/kwaliteit zeker een aanrader. Was iets verder van het Lake dan verwacht maar makkelijk opgelost met een tuktuk.

Wir haben auf Empfehlung der Chefin eine super schöne und informative Stadttour per Tuk Tuk mit Fanta gemacht, er ist sehr freundlich, spricht gut englisch und hat uns die Kultur Sri Lankas toll nahegebracht! La camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato non è sicuramente una di quelle più belle, nella nostra infatti non c’era la vista meravigliosa che si può ammirare dagli spazi comuni e dalle altre camere. La struttura è in collina e per raggiungere Kandy serve necessariamente il tuk tuk. Colazione varia e molto buona. In generale tornerei. -

We arrived quite late and needed to buy some beverages so he accompanied us to the market to make sure we were safe and then showed us a restaurant. He wanted to wait for us until we finish our meal to take us safely back to the hotel!!! Breakfast was enormous huge and delicious. Rooms shiny clean with the very nice smell. The views from the balcony is absolutely stunning. We are very sorry for them that some stupid, jealous people have given them deceitful opinions about this place. All of them are a simply lay! - Taras (9/5): - We absolutely loved our stay! The host is a fantastic carrying lady, who helped with all our queries: arranged excursions, drivers, suggested places to go, solved issues. Additionally, the breakfast was incredible with plenty of options. Way more than we wished for or could eat. The views are breathtaking, the place is far enough from the noise of the city, but the city is easily accessible by a short tuk tuk drive. Highly recommended!
- Kazimierz (10/5): Highly recommended. - Serenity Oasis Hill was exactly what we needed: calm, beautiful surroundings, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. The hillside location gives great views and a sense of privacy away from the noise. Our room was very clean and well maintained, and the whole property felt welcoming and peaceful. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful — you can really feel they care about guests. Breakfast was very good, fresh, and tasty. Overall, this place has a great vibe and we would happily stay again. Honestly, nothing significant. Just keep in mind it’s on a hill, so the access road is a bit uphill — for us it was actually a plus.

This place is perfect – clean, luxury rooms with an astonishing view, delightful atmosphere, and delicious food. This gem also hides another gem in the form of the owner. This incredible woman has everything you need and can arrange the rest. She will help you, recommend places, and guide you with a smile on her face. And for anyone concerned about the recent cyclone situation: there is absolutely no need to hesitate before coming to Kandy. The city is already back to normal, safe, and fully functioning. This accommodation is located on a hill, so it was not affected by flooding at all. It is a safe, peaceful environment where you truly feel at home.

Das Personal war außerdem extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend und hat uns für die Abreise sogar Lunchpakete gepackt. Das Frühstück war ein Highlight- wir durften alles probieren! Etwas abseits vom Geschehen, aber uns war der Ausblick wichtiger.

- Frethman (10/5): Super! - La mejor vista de Kandy, y a buena distancia del tráfico y smoke de esta ciudad. La habitación confortable y con buen gusto, además que el balcón espectacular! Y lo mejor el cuidado y servicio de la dueña -que por suerte coincidió estar en Kandy- en todo lo que necesitábamos! El desayuno espectacular, y un lugar tranquilo y seguro! Gracias !! Todo ok!

- ID8LA (8/5): - La hospitalidad de este lugar merece un 10. La dueña muy disponible. Los desayunos son tan abundantes que nos dieron siempre lo que sobraba para llevar y pudimos hacer picnic a mediodia. Hay posibilidad de parking, pero mejor avisar. Las vistas de la terraza muy bonitas. Está un poco alejado del centro de Kandy. La habitación es pequeña y la cama pequeña y corta, nos sobresalían los pies. Los muebles viejos y alguno roto. La ducha está encima del water, así que el suelo del baño está siempre mojado. Comentan que tienen servicio de habitaciones, pero en 3 días no han limpiado la habitación, así que no sé a que se refieren. Hemos tenido mala suerte porque el primer día teniamos una cucaracha en la habitación, y el ultimo día han fumigado por los mosquitos y no se podía estar.

Breakfast is amazing, they also prepared a lunch to go for us. It was one of the best host we ever had. Thank you very much. We also recommend to book a day tour with Vimukthi.

- Herman (9/5): Overnachting Kandy - Wij waren hier maar 1 nacht en onze ervaring was top. Leuke kamer met een mooi uitzicht en zonsopgang. De badkamer is niet zo groot maar voldoende. Het ontbijt was lekker en RUIM voldoende. Toen zij hoorde dat we een lange treinrit geboekt hadden verzorgde ze ook nog een smakelijke lunch voor onderweg. Nvt

Die Lage etwas außerhalb mit Blick auf den Fluß und die Umgebung ist angenehm nach dem Trubel in Kandy und günstig mit dem TukTuk erreichbar.

Вкусная домашняя еда, приятная обстановка и чудесная панорама. С удовольствием повторим! До центра города нужно ехать. Выйти погулять возможности нет. Хотя мы приехали после насыщенной программы и уже никуда идти или ехать не хотели. Для нас было идеально- тишина и красота!

- Robyn (8/5): Great little hotel with great view and nice room. - The view was wonderful and it was serene (not all the rooms have a view so you need to be careful which room you book). The room was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The staff were helpful and friendly. Plentiful and fresh breakfast at a table looking at the view. We found the proprietor was helpful and flexible, transferring us to a room with a view. However she complained about her staff, our driver and booking.com which she insisted on sharing with use.

- Siebe (9/5): Geweldig uitzicht, zeer gastvrije eigenaresse en een geweldig lokaal ontbijt. - Uitzicht over de stad en het ontbijt ❤️ Er was iets misgegaan met het boeken waardoor we van kamer moesten verwisselen maar dat was hartstikke goed opgelost door de eigenaresse.

Amazing breakfast - you don't need to eat for the remainder of the day!! Very comfortable bed and room. Some people might find it a little far outside Kandy,( 15 - 20 mins), but we had no problem and taxis are very cheap
