GILBERT (6/5): Nice place but issues with customer satisfaction - The location suited us,the room size was good very clean Our room was next to a door giving access to the gym which was used constantly creating noise throughout the night the morning staff were not concerned blaming cleaners but still midnight plus is way to late to disturbing clients worst night sleep .plus now 24 hours later and my deposit has not been returned.

Neil (5/5): Disappointing (due to the above negative comments) - I reported the following to the staff, the shower was set too high (even on the lowest setting it still burnt me), the toilet was inserted between 2 walls which was difficult for me to use, due to my shoulder width, the sink was tiny and I also reported that the ceiling shade could not be opened or closed without standing on the bed or a chair, I have false knees and it was a struggle and dangerous for me to operate the “shade”. The room was quiet but the experience of the room was poor very disappointed .

Stuart (10/5): Perfect Overnight Stay - Great value, superbly furnished room, friendly staff - Room was exceptionally well furnished, very comfortable bed, and spotless shower / toilet Staff were very friendly and helpful (I needed extra coat hangers in wardrobe - provided with no problem) Food quality and service in the bar was excellent and good value (there was a discount scheme running for pre-booked meal) Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Carl (7/5): It’s a very nice hotel and the staff are amazing and do try to accommodate your needs. I think for me you cannot access - The staff were amazing. Food was really nice. Room was spotless My own opinion it’s a bit like a maze and I found it difficult moving about in my wheelchair. The turning through doors was very narrow and difficult. Saying that the staff did all they could to accommodate everything and it is an old building so maybe difficult to accommodate change to enable a fully accessible hotel

David (6/5): We had a wake but staff made it and lovely place and relaxed but bit dated. - staff were great. Not sure why the bathroom had a shower in bath and shower in a cubicle in a small space . Get rid of bath as old fashioned and have a walk in shower . Sleigh bed for us was ridiculous as far too low for over 60s . Breakfast was not worth £15 each although sausage and bacon was nice , scrambled egg was too dry and small cups for tea was a bit weird . Decor very dark and tables to small for 4 people . At dinner roast was average at best and range of food was far too wide to give good quality hence I chose fajitas . Needs updating bit dark and old fashioned .

Elizabeth (6/5): Nice small venue and hotel with good breakfasts. - Very nice breakfast, and the wedding venue was really lovely and well managed on the day. We attended a wedding on the 29th of Dec, and while overall it was a really lovely day, one of the young lads tending the bar was incredibly rude and impatient with all attendees. He was outwardly impatient, dismissive and honestly mean to some of the attendees. As someone who has worked at event bars for many years it was really bad customer service and left a bad impression of the venue for what was actually a very nice event.

Adam (8/5): We had a fantastic time 🤩 - We stayed here for a wedding, the staff were great and well organised. The food was lovely, I was impressed at how efficient the staff were at getting the food out nice and hot to everyone on our table and it was a beautiful roast dinner. The hot roast cobs were lovely too ❤️ Some parts look a little tired and could do with a refresh. But this didn’t affect our stay.

McLean (3/5): Poor Customer Service - Good location and carpark facilities. The staff were grumpy at reception and all through breakfast. There were two wedding parties who were given a timeline of 08:30 to 09:30 for breakfast. The staff were grumpy, rude and there was certainly an element of the black guest receiving a different standard of service, which was obvious even to the white guests in our party.
