- Brian (9/5): 70th Birthday. - The location was convenient. We were able to walk to multiple restaurants. Thames St. shopping was within walking distance. Free on site parking. Our room was quiet and cozy. The evening homemade cookies were delicious. The homemade scones at breakfast were exceptional. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Can't think of anything we didn't like.

- John (9/5): Hydrangea House is a delightful stay with helpful staff, a wonderful breakfast and a decor that reminds you of the histo - Location was ideal and the breakfasts served were delicious Only issue we had was a shower floor that took hours to dry and the drain that dripped. It was a bit noisy but we shut the bathroom door and it didn’t bother us.

- Maria (10/5): Good Easter weekend stay - I have stayed in the same room previously. It has been upgraded since. A few times, other visitors were trying to open our back door thinking it cuts through to the check-in desk. The water pressure is low. The toilet requires a second flush.

- Zolnoski (7/5): - Nice staff The furniture in the room was stained. There was a bad stained on the mattress, gross!. The shower was nice, but the corner tiles on the bottom were very dirty. I got the feeling this used to be a great place, but it is now running down.
- Sue (10/5): - Hydrangea House is furnished in the style of a Newport Mansion. It is within a short walking distance from the downtown area and the mansions. Kim the manager was amazing! She made us a personal charcuterie on the night we arrived and an excellent breakfast the next morning. Her commitment to customer service was evident in her willingness to take responsibility for our stay and our experience.

The climate in Newport is (was) very humid. I had difficulties getting my sailing gear and clothes dried in our room during our stay.

For a one night stay like we did, it was fine, but for a longer stay, the bathroom needed more counter space for toiletries.
- Jose (10/5): A Perfect Getaway - The Hydrangea House Inn is an beautiful Bed and Breakfast Inn. It brings you back to the past with all the modern features. There is elegance throughout the place. The staff is amazing and addresses to all your needs. I was extremely impressed by the breakfast that was served every morning. You get plenty to eat and the food is top rated. I was surprised by quality of the breakfast. In the afternoon, they offer wine and cheese. In the evening they serve cookies. I will continue to book my stays at the Hydrangea House, every time I am in Rhode Island.

- Drown (10/5): Excellent - highly recommend! - Each morning, there was a freshly cooked, delicious full breakfast. It was complimented by juices, assortment of teas, and freshly brewed coffee. Every afternoon, they served wine and cheese from 4-6 pm. In the evening, freshly baked cookies were provided. Kim, the host/manager, was friendly and welcoming. The Inn was beautifully decorated, charming, and timeless. Our room was not a suite but very spacious. The location was perfect. We walked to the downtown each day and evening in less than 10 minutes. So many options to eat and drink with lots of shopping. There is nothing that I can think of to make the experience any better! We felt so lucky to have selected the Hydrangea House Inn for our lodging.

La chambre était très confortable, la douche excellente. Enfin, l'après midi, de la charcuterie, fromage et vin sont disponibles en libre service, et des cookies sont proposés le soir. Une très belle adresse dans laquelle on se sent très à l'aise. Parking disponible sur place.

A welcome surprise was the wine and cheese from 4pm -6pm. The area is cute and walkable. We did the 3.5 mile Cliff Walk with views of the ocean and Newport Mansions.

We are new to B & B concept so eating at a common dining room/table a little uncomfortable for us. Yet, our second night we were given option to eat our next breakfast at a private table in the sitting room. We are always a bit nervous about a venue without 24 staff. Nevertheless we really have no complaints!

Their yummy breakfasts were pleasantly served by the inn keeper, Kim and the Inn accommodated my gluten allergy for breakfast treats. Within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the wharf, we basically left our car in their private parking lot and walked everywhere. An added bonus, 4-6pm they served cheese, crackers and wine. We will definitely return. Thanks for a great, warm stay.

Originally we were to stay in the smaller red room which I’m sure was beautiful but Kim upgraded us to the chesterfield room which was AMAZING we felt like a king and queen. From the daily breakfast in the dinining room, to the nightly wine and cheese hour, to the nightly room turndown and cookies…we felt so special and take care of. We will definitely be back!

It was incredibly hot both evenings. As well as loud. Facilities could use a reno. Door did not lock all the way - put a chair infront of the door each evening. Not sure I would go back but overall it was fine.

Parking was very convenient. The red room was next to the parking lot and it was also an entrance for guests. Because of that the door would be noisy entering and exiting into their rooms.

Then she had one waiting for me at the table the next day. The breakfast was delicious and much more than I could possibly eat.
