• Brian (10/5): We would never stay anywhere else in Catania. - Palazzo Marletta is a small intimate boutique hotel in a historic building with modern bathrooms but decorative character bedrooms. The position is fantastic, just off the duomo piazza. Topping that all off is the lovely staff. The small team of young dedicated professional hosts make you feel not just at home, but part of the family.

• Cheryl (10/5): A WOW in every way in the Heart of Catania - Picture the welcome you’d receive staying the weekend at a dear friend’s home- and that’s how Renato made us feel from the moment he opened the door. His warmth and genuine hospitality set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable stay. The Angelia room — an absolutely stunning space with some original 300+ year décor, including an extraordinary chandelier, blends seamlessly with an extremely comfortable bed, and sleek, modern bathroom. Breakfast in-room was delicious and good value! We enjoyed a generous selection of traditional Sicilian specialties alongside classic European pastries and eggs — a perfect introduction to the flavours of Sicily. Palazzo Marletta is the kind of place that stays with you. We will absolutely be back. Nothing - everything was wonderful!

• prudence2001 (9/5): Wonderful experience - The room was exceptional and quite historic, as it was the dining room of the Palazzo. We were very happy with it. Our breakfast was also enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the conversations with two of the hotel staff. Overall we were very pleased with the Palazzo Marletta. We had a slight delay getting access to the hotel, but once that was cleared, everything else was perfect.

The noise, the restaurant DOC - Duomo of Catania (we do not know if this is new thing) played loud music outside until 2am every morning, our room was opposite and you cannot sleep through even with ear plugs, they need to sort this out as it’s not good and we couldn’t believe this hasn’t been mentioned before, the restaurant staff were essentially doing karaoke what felt directly outside our window. This ruined an amazing hotel for us.

• Toni (10/5): Das beste Hotel für einen Städtetrip in Catania - Ausgezeichnete Lage des Hotels, mitten in der Altstadt. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir waren mit Freunde in Catania. Unsere Zimmer waren sehr individuell und sehr komfortabel ausgestattet. Der Empfang und der Service war sehr persönlich, nett und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und individuell abgestimmt auf unsere Wünsche. Abends lag ein persönlicher Brief mit Empfehlungen für den nächsten Tag. Die Zimmer wurden am Abend noch mal hergerichtet. Wir haben tolle Weinempfehlungen bekommen, die man auch vor Ort probieren konnte.. Die Restaurantempfehlungen vom Hotel waren sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Hotel jedem weiterempfehlen.

• FRANCO (9/5): Great place to explore Catania - The property was very well maintained and the staff were attentive, courteous and professional. `The deluxe double room was spacious and well furnished with a balcony having views of the Piazza del Duomo. Hats off to Alessandra, Davide and Renato and the cleaning ladies Letizia and Giovanna. It had nothing to do with the property or the staff, in fact it was my choice. Guests should be aware that when choosing the Duomo view one cannot keep the balcony door ajar for fresh air due to the noise from the neighbouring coffee/wine shops (when closing at night) You can keep the door closed and rely on an internal air circulation system but this can involve a continual hum which may annoy (sensitive) travellers.

• Helen (10/5): David and Renata were absolutely the most fabulous guests they made you feel like you can ask them for help with anythin - The location was perfect. Once you enter those very cool old doors, you are welcomed into the most pristine luxury accommodations. I love the fact that great lights were go to preserving the history and the original decor from 1693. Sitting at that table in those chairs that were so epically old, is humbling.

The hotel is small but lovely and in a historic building. The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful they met us outside and arranged the valet parking we’d requested. We also thoroughly enjoyed a wine tasting with wine of the staff who was a sommelier - really informative and friendly.
