• Valeria (10/5): Special stay, lovely family - This was one of the best stays we’ve ever had in all of our travels. Suresh and his family are lovely, they are so kind and generous and get out of their way to help their guests. They provided us with dinner and breakfast (which was the best Sri Lankan food we have had in the country) and we also cooked together one evening for us to learn some of the recipes. Suresh is also a tuk tuk driver so can help with the transport to Ella and further sites. He’s very honest with prices too. The location is immersed in nature and so relaxing, and the room was comfortable and clean. We wish we had stayed longer and will definitely recommend this stay to anyone who visits Ella!

• Dani (10/5): Amazing experience in Sri Lanka - Amazing experience in Sri Lanka with this honest and humble family and their kindness who helped me a lot with everything I needed. The food was excel.lent and super huge, and the location its in the middle of the nature with jungle, tea fields and animals. The room was very good with hot water and clean. They help me a lot to save money and they didn't want anything in return. I truly recommend them a lot because just the experience there can be a highlight of a trip in Sri Lanka. Nothing important. A little far from Ella village center, but he takes you with his tuk tuk if you need it. I had rented car so I didn't need it.

Nous avons été conseillés et accompagnés pour louer des scooters mais également aidés pour l'organisation de la suite de notre séjour au Sri Lanka ! La nourriture était excellente avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix (petit déjeuner et dîner possible). La localisation un peu à l'écart du centre est un vrai plus, qui permet de profiter du calme et d'une nuit au cœur de la jungle et des plantations de thé. Très bonnes recommandations sur les activités aux alentours, aller-retour en tuk-tuk possibles et chambre très propre et confortable. Et tout cela avec un super rapport qualité-prix ! Pour l'instant, le meilleur logement que l'on ai eu de notre séjour, rendu inoubliable par la gentillesse et l'honnêteté de cette famille. On recommande à 100 % !! Rien 😉
• Callan (10/5): - I had a super stay at Nature’s Rest, I can understand why they maintain such an amazing rating. Suresh and his family are perfect hosts, taking care of your every need and his wife cooks the most amazing food. I had breakfast and dinner every day. The room is cozy and has what you need for a short stay. It is located about 15 minutes out of the town which is good as there is a lot of traffic. You can take the local bus for 40 rupees or have Suresh take you by tuktuk for a price MUCH better than the others in Ella. If I come back to Ella I will for sure stay here again.

Rimane a circa 10 minuti in auto dal centro di Ella, ma forse è meglio così perché potete godere di una vista bellissima in mezzo alla natura e fuori dal caos. Noi avevamo l’auto e arrivare alla casa è un po’ difficile perché c’è una strada stretta ma siamo stati guidati dal proprietario e siamo arrivati senza problemi. La struttura offre anche la colazione tipica e il proprietario offre anche tour in tuktuk.

Nos supers hôtes nous ont proposés un logement 5 étoiles mais surtout de la super nourriture (je n'ai jamais mangé de frite aussi bonne et je suis français) Aussi des supers conseils pour le voyage et toujours à petit prix. • Clara (10/5): Beautiful house in nature with an extremely helpful family and delicious meals - This is a beautiful property looking out into the jungle. It’s about 15 min away from town (which has a lot of traffic and I preferred not to stay in). The room was very clean. Suresh was so helpful to organize rides to sites and other cities. The family is wonderful. I had breakfast and dinner multiple days here and it was some of the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I felt well taken care of and safe as a solo traveler. I also extended my stay here. Would highly recommend!

Pero no leí en ningún comentario que Suresh es el único guía en toda Sri Lanka que no te lleva a sitios caros para que te saquen el dinero. Que se preocupa no solo por tu comodidad si no por tu bolsillo. Cuidando de que no te timen y no llevándote a lugares preparados para bolsillos europeos. Tuvimos la gran suerte de que nos trajera también a Udawalawe, siempre con mucho cariño y buen precio. La hija mayor está estudiando medicina así que le mando mucha fuerza y besos. Absolutely best hosts in Sri Lanka !!! - sharing tips and healing with travel plan. They asked us how was our day every evening. Whole family including lovely kids came to invite us and shake the hands, the same when we were leaving. Offered tea and coffee. Tasty breakfasts and dinners - everything fresh, delicious, served with love. The owner has his tuk-tuk and brought us to the city when needed. Great place to relax - worth to come even if it is a bit further from the city. Your can escape from Ella rush here. THE KINDEST FAMILY IN ELLA ❤

Its a little drive out of Ella but the views on the way are worth the drive out. The food was great, quality & quantity, a lot of which came straight from their garden! We loved it & stayed an extra night.
• Anita (10/5): Perfect stay in nature with genuinely nice people - Nature’s rest is an ideal accommodation for nature lovers. It is surrounded by tea plants, tropical forrest and many wild animals. The family is very hospitable, genuinely nice people, living in simbioze with nature. We ordered dinners and breakfasts and it was amazing! I can easily say it was better than in any restaurants. Everything was prepared fresh with many ingredients coming from their garden. The road there is a bit tricky, I would suggest not hire a tuktuk driver, but it is definitely worth getting there. It is also a walking distance to Little Adam’s peak and 9 arches bridge.

• Daniel (10/5): Incredible food, views & host family! Highly recommend - Where to start… I wish I had stayed longer! The food was incredible - so fresh, flavourful and diverse, even when accommodating for my non-spicy, vegetarian preference. Definitely eat here as much as you can! I had breakfast each day, and dinner twice. The location away from the busy loud town was perfect for me. Surrounded by nature, you could spot a range of colourful birds from the terrace and I was lucky to see a Sri Lankan giant squirrel making its nest just in front of the property. I enjoyed various walks from the property too - I particularly recommend the one to the ‘secret’ waterfall where you can take a dip on a hot day. And you can get to Little Adam’s Peak and the nine arches bridge in a pleasant 1.5 hour walk. Explore the tea plantations around the property too - I stumbled upon an amazing view of the mountains and sat for hours just soaking up the atmosphere. Suresh and his family are amazing hosts - very kind and attentive, flexible to changing plans, yet also leave you to your own space. I was grateful for the good value tuktuk service Suresh provided which meant Ella and beyond was still accessible. His advice on where to go was great. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a bottle of water provided, hot shower and nicely lit bedside lamp. All in all, very good value and genuinely one of the best homestays of my 4 months of travelling. Thank you so much Suresh for a wonderful stay, I hope to return one day.

I highly recommend Nature’s Rest for anyone looking to escape and enjoy a relaxing retreat in nature.

The location is quite secluded, ideal for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of Ella Town and enjoy a truly relaxing environment. Because of its relative isolation, it's better to have an autonomous means of transportation. By chance we could rent Suresh's scooter.

• Duncan (10/5): A gentle getaway in the sights and sounds of nature. - This is a fantastic place for nature lovers tucked up in the hills 5 km outside of Ella. Suresh gave me lifts in his TukTuk when I wanted to get around, at incredibly cheap rates. Sudenti cooks the most incredible 5* food. This is a fantastic place, basic, simple and very good value for money. The hospitality is outstanding. The most beautiful thing is going to sleep and getting up to a beautiful view and sounds ad movements of the forest right outside your door. Nothing.
• Jon (10/5): Paradise 15 minutes drive outside the busy Ella - The host and his family were absolutely delightful. They couldn't have been more friendly, kind, helpful or informative. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, The terrace outside the 2 rooms has a view over the "jungle" that is the closest I can imagine to paradise. We often spent lazy afternoons sipping juice or beer - looking at the amazing view. Visited by friendly toucans every morning. You can walk 20 minutes along a lovely footpath in either direction to get to the road and the attractions in Ella. Nothing
• Gabrielė (10/5): Exceptional - Hotel high in the mountains, surrounded by nature and tea plantations! A very private harmonious rest in nature, with a wonderful panorama, wild bird sounds, plant blossoms! A wonderful cooking wife, where we chose both lunch and dinner. Food from own organic farm, absolutely delicious... The host is very helpful, recommending and showing, if necessary, the best scenic hiking routes. The owner has tuk tuk and can take you around for good prices. During the day hike, which owner helped us organise and brought us to, we saw the most beautiful valleys, tea fields, Adam's peak, and walked to the 9-arch bridge. During the whole day, we were accompanied by a wonderful little guide - the youngest daughter of the host family 🥰😍 🥰🙏 We had a lot of contact with the host regarding taxi and traveling around Ella, he helped a lot with real advice. 100% recommend Nothing.

The hosts are super super friendly and flexible and you get the best local food for breakfast and dinner. Suresh showed us around in his big garden and we collected some fruits and ate fresh coconuts. Whenever we wanted he drove us down to the city with his Tuk Tuk. The nature and nature sounds are incredible and the room was super clean and nice. I will come back for sure! I definitely recommend it to everyone! The food is delicious and the house is located 15 minutes out of Ella in the middle of beautiful nature. Suresh, Suganthi and family are wonderful hosts and we very much enjoyed spending time with them. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you need. The terrace looks out into the forest and the hills beyond. There are beautiful walks into the hills and in the tea plantations from the doorstep. The peace and quiet away from Ella is perfect. Suganthi’s breakfasts, dinners and treats were delicious. It really is a restful place in nature with kind and friendly people. There are no negatives for Nature’s rest!

• Anonymous (10/5): An amazing Rest in Nature! - Nature’s Rest is a beautiful little hideaway nestled amongst tea plantations just outside of Ella. If you are coming to Ella for the scenery this is definitely the place. You can walk straight from the guesthouse into tea plantations and you are just surrounded everywhere by tropical flowers. The food is excellent home cooked deliciousness. However the highlights are without doubt your hosts, who are the kindest, friendliest and most helpful people you could ever wish to meet.
• Honcharuk (10/5): A wonderful place for families and children to relax, the owners will cook food and treat you with fruits, the views are - the owners are real cleanliness: bed linen, bathroom, garden, windows, everything is absolutely clean and beautiful, well-groomed yard and porch. Good connection 4G for work and there is a workplace for a computer. a little further from Ella's parties, but I see even a plus in this. Because you can work in silence.
• Joël (10/5): Attention chemin très difficile avec la voiture. - Attention accès très difficile pour arriver à la guest house, les 300 derniers mètres sont très difficile avec la voiture, c'est vraiment un sentier pas large ... Les propriétaires sont des gens charmants avec leurs 3 enfants,à peine arrivés nous ont servi le thé . Le soir nous avons joués au triominos cetait formidable. Chambre très propre et petit dej + que correct . Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés si vous aimez le grand calme
