Guest Reviews
- Stevenson (8/5): Very nice place, modern & clean - Room was large, clean and comfortable. Staff changed our room as we'd asked for a quiet room upon check in. We appreciated them being proactive. There was a table sitting outside in the outdoor dining area who kept my kids awake for a while, but in fairness we'd gone to bed very early. Some white noise solved the problem in the room.
- Richard (9/5): great location so long as you're in a car -
- Colin and Lady Sarah (10/5): Excellent restful holiday in an excellent part of England. - Loads of space in room, staff exceptional, meals out of this world. Nothing The Inn Collection have it covered.
- Mark (4/5): -
- Carol (10/5): - Excellent and friendly staff. Everything was as we wished.
- Tracy (7/5): - Great place for a stop over. Clean, spacious, comfortable Nothing negative
- Sharon (8/5): -
- Geoff (10/5): -
- Brian (8/5): - Good size, clean room Location, on an industrial estate.
Bathroom fan running all night was a nuisance
- Sascha (8/5): - Sehr schönes Hotel mit sauberen, geräumigen Zimmern und einem richtig gutem Restaurant. Gute Lage zum Alnwick Castle. Immer wieder gerne.
- John (8/5): - Easy access to town and local amenities.
- Ian (9/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): Enjoyable stay and a decent hotel - Decent breakfast selection with friendly staff.
Dinner - we ate there twice during our stay. Good quality gastro-pub type food and good size portions.
Room - good size, large bed, good bathroom. Acoustics in the room!! Way too much noise from the A1 in our room and I suspect others. The glazing spec is clearly not good enough so needs to be sorted.
- Carle (8/5): -
- Dawn (10/5): - Lovely comfortable rooms helpful staff great atmosphere Nothing

- Sudip (6/5): Comfortable base to explore Northumberland - The spacious room (4). Accessible for my wife who is disabled . Close to the A1. Next to a garage and McDs! Clean comfortable Very very poor selection of gluten free items for my wife for breakfast. All they could offer was GF toast as they couldn’t guarantee any of the fried food was not cross contaminated. Poor for this day and age. Gluten free cereals & pastries, GF toast and separate cooking area for hot food is a must these days in modern hotels. Even the porridge offered wasn’t GF. I’ve stayed in hotels in the last few years where gluten free options were plentiful. I suggest the Inn Collection take a hard look at food options for coeliac & gluten intolerance customers in hotels which aren’t up to date !

Ground floor room as requested for accessible needs and our dog. Super friendly staff. Lovely bar. Fabulous food. Great price. Although room near A1 couldn’t hear traffic at all. Nothing. Couldn’t fault it.
- Nigel (10/5): Nice very accessible hotel near A1 very clean. Good staff attitudes.. service - Very polite courteous staff. Good bar and food service. Reasonable beer prices. Dog friendly. There were cheaper rates available than what we paid for our 3 day stay.
- Maria (10/5): Excellent - Large bedroom. Large bed. Very comfortable bed. Good shower. Nice toiletries. Excellent breakfast Room was a little warm. Windows opened but then you got road noise
- Mark (8/5): -
- James (8/5): Lovely short break. Had all we needed for short stay in the area. Didn't realise it was out of town - Very comfy spacious room. Decor
- Jane (9/5): Very comfortable accommodation close to the A1 - Very large room with excellent shower over the bath
Staff very pleasant
Handy to the A1 with plenty of parking
Breakfasts very good Nothing
- Ed (10/5): -
- william (4/5): Would not go back - Nothing Staff didn’t look clean as they should
- MaWe60 (8/5): - Room was clean and easy to access Staff were polite but indifferent, one in one out seems to be the case. Shame as a little friendliness especially to solo travellers would be nice.
- Martyn (9/5): Excellent enjoyable stay - All food was excellent. Rooms were big and very clean. Nice bar area. Staff were very welcoming.
- Hugh Gordon (8/5): - Everything generally. Noise from A1, not helped by overnight roadworks!
- Colin (9/5): Nice place - Lovely place and the staff were amazing
- Merrick (6/5): A reasonably comfortable budget hotel. - Breakfast was fine - even gf bread available upon request.
Coffee fairly poor and weak Being put in a room adapted for disability without prior consultation. The room was too cold and didn't heat up until evening although we turned the radiator up upon arrival .
Sent an email asking if we wanted to upgrade the room prior to arrival following this up there where no upgraded rooms, waste of my time ringing up about a none existent room upgrade.
- Shaun (8/5): -
- Steven (8/5): All in all very good - Breakfast and food were very good Location wasn't what was expected from seeing pictures on website i didn't think it was on a trading estate
- David (7/5): Good value for money although the Premier Inn is close by for competition. - Allocated room was excellent…spacious and clean..although NO AIR CON!
Complementary 2drinks idea good …in place of the room clean option.
Bus stops quite close to hotel. Breakfast not good……no meet and greet on arrival ..we could have walked in off the street!
Poor choice of breakfast food…need more. healthy choices .
Poor interaction from breakfast staff with guests …
Evening meal choices not good …more vegetarian options required.
- Lesley (8/5): - Convenient as a stop over N/a
- DAVID (10/5): Very clean and good service from the staff - Very easy to get to from the A1 and lots of parking Quiet a walk from the town centre but easy enough to do
- Hannah (8/5): -
- Sue (10/5): Such good value for Alnwick - The rooms were clean and spacious, the food and staff in the restaurant were excellent.
Only a 5 minute drive to Alnwick gardens.
- William (7/5): - Proximity to town centre. The absence of a residents' lounge area.
- Nigel (9/5): - Very comfy bed & windows that open
- Thomas (10/5): - Green clean perk Lack of food choices
- Gurr (9/5): 60th birthday trip - Loved the staff very warm and friendly good size room. very clean. food very good. loved the gammon. not noisy from the pub. Good parking Not keen on the pillows the bed a little firm with the room being so big the TV seemed miles away
- David (8/5): Enjoyable Stay - Plenty of car parking spaces. Staff very welcoming. Room spacious, comfy bed and good shower with toiletries. And two chairs. Coffee and tea making facilities. Decent breakfast, especially the sausages.
Excellent location off the A1 for visiting places of interest. Nothing not to like.
- Sandra (8/5): A nice comfortable room etc. and good breakfast, lovely bread also and fruit for breakfast a bonus - The roos was excellent vey spacious and lovely easy shower. m The dining room was a bit more pub like, my preference would be a little less heavy on the wood and timber, But all in all a very nice place to stay, and the location easy as just off the A1 and in close proximity to Alnwick Town Centre. There was not really anything I did not liike
- Valerie (10/5): -
- Carin (9/5): -
- Deborah (10/5): - Staff were all lovely. The room was comfortable, immaculate, and a good size. Great shower.
Breakfast was great and good gluten-free choices.
Tea & coffee making in the room were appreciated. Nothing
- Zoe (10/5): -
- Lu (9/5): Fine - Clean big bed Sink in Room 20 was blocked
- Anne (10/5): We travelled to meet up with friends and all stayed here. It was handy for the bus to get into town but also walkable. V - The decor and the breakfast Nothing
- Christopher (8/5): -
- Greg (8/5): -
- Nicola (8/5): Great stay besides wait for chicken wings 🤦♀️ - Great Stopover for us .. comfy & convenient Long wait for food … in fact over an hour

- Philip (7/5): -
- Alison (9/5): Fantastic stay. Great hotel. - Breakfast and dinner was great. Good choice. Room was clean, beds comfy and everything you would need. Just that the room was a little warm and there was no air conditioning but windows opened easily.
Staff were fantastic and could not do enough for you. A real credit to this establishment. Very polite and professional. Great stay. Parking easy, lots of it and free. Nothing.
- Anthony Stewart (10/5): Really good all the staff were very friendly and went out of the way to help. - Breakfast was very good a good choice for everyone what ever anyone wanted it covered for what ever you wanted to eat
No fault We had no problem .

- Valerie (10/5): -
- David (10/5): -
- jill (10/5): - Comfy rooms clean and tidy One one staff on a breakfast and ran out of food which was not replaced
- william (8/5): We enjoyed the area but the accommodation was too expensive - We had previously stayed there and were so impressed we wanted to spend a three day celebration visit there to travel the area. The Inn was disappointing There were too few staff. They were young and seemed more than a little disinterested.
I was alarmed to find out the morning we were leaving that all doors leading inside the building and to the outside door were manually or electronically locked. Guests would have been trapped in the building. The night Porter was engaged in helping the chef and some distance from the front door.
- Lynn (8/5): Great location and value for money - Location. Comfortable and location suited our purpose Breakfast poorly set out but the food was good.
- Deb (9/5): Great value for money - Staff friendliness, buffet breakfast excellent with self service to hot food. Character and fittings in restaurant. Enjoyed evening meal. Location excellent and close to service station. Great value for money. Nothing
- Alfred (10/5): A great 49th anniversary. - Great menu and breakfast included. The room was spacious and comfortable. We have no real complaints on our stay.
- michael (10/5): very comfortable and restful - the rooms are spacious clean and well appointed. the bar and restaurant was well staffed, prompt and good value.
- Beverley (9/5): - Lovely hotel, near to the town. Good food and friendly staff
- Udo (8/5): -
- Sheena (9/5): Great one night stay but would be a great base for a longer stay too. - Very handy for a stop en route south. Nice and quiet considering how close it is to A1. Easy to find. Everything just as it should be and lovely food for both dinner and breakfast. Signage to entrance could be better as we had to ask in bar and walk through bar to check in desk.
- Roger (8/5): - Nice large clean room. Great shower. Nice food. Nowhere to sit and relax. The room overlooked the children's playground so the curtains had to remain closed for the majority of our stay. The curtains were unable to keep out the ambient light from the 24hr petrol station and MacDonalds. If the window was open there was a lot of noise due to the pub's location in the centre of a retail park.
- RKGR (9/5): Nice inn with good pub - Room was clean and spacious. Nice pub with decent food, staff very friendly and super dog friendly The breakfast in all the inns is way too greasy and there are no healthier options.
I have mixed feelings about the location. It is on the main road surrounded by gas stations and warehouses. It is very accessible if you want to explore Northumberland, but the location gives more like an industrial feel rather than a holiday.
- Susan (10/5): Nice stay, no issues. Friendly staff and nice breakfast - Clean, spacious and comfortable Nothing
- Russ Hulme (10/5): Great location - Great hotel, ideally located for visiting attractions in the area. Comfy beds, food excellent, and staff are so polite and very helpful Nothing all was good
- Agim (10/5): -
- Melinda (5/5): -
- Warren (9/5): Very comfortable and great value for money - The breakfast
- Malcolm (10/5): Pleasant staff good facilities - Excellent good choice nothing to complain about np Nothing all good
- BUSE (9/5): we had a lovely stay. definitely recommended - huge room
nice shower
comfortable & massive bed
very good breakfast that was included in the room rate
location - close to Alnwick castle and Bamburgh and the attractions
value for money nothing
- Joanne (7/5): It was a nice stay. The room was great but the food let's it down. - The bedroom was nice and spacious. The food wasn't very good. The food was bland and portions were small. I had vegetable curry, the rice was very salty and the curry was watery.
At breakfast there's not choice of fruit, its already cut and mixed into individual bowls with fruit juice. Toaster is the slowest.
