I am a woman and I was traveling by myself and my nephew in another room at the same hotel and the owner accused me of having additional guests.

Por poner un pero, al día siguiente de llegar nos quitaron la cortina de la ducha y no sabemos el porqué (ya que tampoco hemos conocido a la gente que gestiona los apartamentos). Me ha parecido súper raro.

• clare (10/5): Great place to stay in Porto - Loved the location and the historic building itself. We were given the warmest welcome. All communication before and during arrival was good, Maria provided information about getting to the accommodation from the airport, railway station. There were suggestions of places to eat and visit in the reception/ breakfast area. The room was comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities and a small ‘kitchenette’ area which although we didn’t use, was nice to have. The bathroom was compact but perfectly adequate. We enjoyed the balcony!There are quite a few stairs to the to floor, and no lift - which is made clear when booking, but worth mentioning here. Not a problem for us, but might be for others. The breakfast was good, freshly made to order each morning, served by very friendly helpful ladies. We were able to leave our luggage after checkout, as we had an evening flight, allowing is to make the most of our final day. All in all, a great place to stay whilst visiting Porto! Many thanks to Maria and her team 😊 We liked everything!

• catherine (10/5): Excellent emplacement ! Superbe vue du balcon ! - Nous étions dans le studio avec un petit balcon avec vue panoramique sur la vielle ville et le Douro. Il a fait beau nous avons adoré ! Le studio est au dernier étage à l’arrière du bâtiment ! Aucun bruit et literie parfaite !
• Jana (7/5): Goed voor 1 nachtje - Een fijn glaasje Porto en een pastel de nata bij aankomst, heel fijn! De locatie was ook top! Het bed was wel heel smal, de waterdruk was wel heel hoog en het water dat eruit kwam was bijna kokend, een beetje gevaarlijk! De wc-bril hing ook los. Ik denk dat we pech hadden met de kamer aan de straatkant op het eerste verdiep, waardoor we best veel straatlawaai hadden en andere gasten hoorden binnen en buiten gaan.

• Laura (7/5): Great location, clean, but difficulties with communication’s on multiple levels. - You are greeted with port wine and pastels de nata, very nice touch. A nice breakfast was available for purchase. Very clean. We weren’t left with enough towels the first night. Slow response time sometimes from Manager through messaging. Staff was super sweet, we could only communicate through Google Translate. Super small bathroom sink. I don’t think the dehumidifier worked, or I couldn’t get it to.

• Kiara (10/5): Perfect location for those starting their Camino - Perfect location for starting my Camino - just a three-minute walk to Porto's cathedral. It's also really close to bars and restaurants for grabbing breakfast before your walk or dinner the night before. Room is quite small but was perfectly sufficient for what I needed - would rather stay in a small room in an old traditional building rather than a large, modern, characterless room :-) I loved Maria's personal touches - like the glasses of port wine and pastel de natas left in my room and she even provided me with a complimentary coffee and another pastel de nata while I completed check-in the morning after I arrived. Maria can also provide you with a stamp for your compostela :-) Nothing.

• Nijolė (8/5): - The guesthouse is in a great location for visiting Ribeira. My room 2 was quiet as it faced the courtyard, but damp and dark even with all the lights on, cramped even for one guest. As I was about to leave, the power suddenly went out, making it difficult to gather my things in the dark room. Communication before arrival was excellent, but I can't say enough about the hospitality.

Maria was helpful with my special request for luggage labels when I made a last minute decision to use Top Santiago bag transfer. I had a budget room which was basic but adequate and comfortable My room key pad didn't work when I arrived but Maria responded quickly when I called to get it sorted.

La signora che ci ha accolto è stata estremamente gentile e disponibile: ci ha spiegato con cura le principali attrazioni da visitare e ci ha dato ottimi consigli. All’arrivo in camera abbiamo trovato anche una piacevole sorpresa: dei deliziosi pastel de nata di benvenuto. La camera è molto accogliente, pulita e dotata di tutto il necessario, ideale anche per soggiorni di più notti. Un’esperienza davvero positiva che consiglio sicuramente.

We were welcomed with complimentary wine and pastries, the Airbnb was in a perfect location, and our view on the last floor was INCREDIBLE! Maria was so kind and welcoming. You can tell she truly cares about her guests’ comfort and experiences. She is an angel! 5 star hotel for me! I will be back next time I am in Porto! Nothing at all!
• So Hae (9/5): Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others who are looking for a place in Porto! - The location was very convenient since it was within walking distance of the river and other notable spots in Porto. Maria, the property owner, was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. We loved the view from our studio as well! This wasn’t a problem for us, but the studio room is at the top floor, and the stairs were winding and narrow. And there is no elevator. The door lock might have been low on battery since it took us a few tries sometimes to either lock or unlock the door.

• Rebecca (9/5): A wonderful stay in a quaint, comfortable inn. - The room was small, but it was very comfortable. It was so quiet at night that we felt like we were sleeping in a dark cave! It was wonderful. The homemade breakfast each morning was a bonus. Maria was very helpful and gave us a walking map of the city and a lot of recommendations for our visit. There is no lift in the building, but you are informed of that before you complete booking, so it was no surprise. It might be an issue for someone traveling with a lot of luggage, or someone with mobility issues.

We couldn’t lock the door at all, we had to see the sights with our backpacks and slept with the door unlocked. The host didn’t reply to my request. Air conditioning also didn’t work

Ótima Sensação de segurança O atendimento foi sempre cortez e resolveu algumas coisas para nós. - chuveiro nao esquentava direito e perdia temperatura durante o banho, o segundo hóspede ja tomava banho quase frio - escada para o quarto 5 muito.grande e estreita, nao foi um problema para chegar e sair mas com as malas sim. Para subir.e.descer a mala foi muito ruim. - funcionária no penúltimo dia falou as 7 da manha que nao poderia arrumar o quarto e deixou uma sacola de toalha seca (até agora nao entendi) - banheiro é com aquelas cortinas de plástico e como ele é pequeno, a cortina fica grudando na perna (nas fotos isso nao fica claro) - banheiro molha todo mesmo tomando cuidado - nao tem frigobar, mas este estava na discrição, so comento aqui pois como sao muitos lances de escada, buscar na madrugada uma água gelada nao é uma opcao (mas a proprietária deixou usar a geladeira do terreo) - cheiro forte no quarto, um pouco de mofo pode ser explicado pelo banheiro sem janela mas que molha muito
