- Ammar (8/5): Party hotel - A chain hotel with a theme and decor geared for younger guests. Rooftop bar, DJ music, and loud and party-like ambiance and music all the time. Great, if that’s your sensibility.

- Pascal (8/5): Petit Dej’ à fuir - 3 nuits au Mama Shelter mais malgré que nous le payons cher le petit dej’ n’est pas du tout à la hauteur : le service est lié au petit dej’ avec un petit dej’ réduit à avoir des croissants ou pains au chocolat et quelques fruits de dispo… n’espérez rien d’autre, car il n’y aura rien d’autre ! Pas du tout à la hauteur des autres Mama Shelter

L’accueil au top comme toujours et le petit dej pas mal pour un végétarien. Les chambres ne sont pas hyper bien insonorisés entre chambres mais ça reste aceptable par rapport au reste.

Unfortunately it was pouring rain when we were there so we didn't get to walk from the hotel as much as we wanted but we still appreciated how close the hotel was to many dining and shopping options. The entire environment from the rooms to the restaurant are welcoming and vibrant. The staff is exceptional at Mama Shelter Toulouse. Highly recommend for a budget conscious, super cool stay.

The people at the reception are welcoming and friendly, however, the cleaning staff does not seem to understand what the "Do not disturb" signs mean, as they knock anyway and even open the door before check-out time while people are still sleeping. They are friendly but the management should make sure they are paid long enough to be there so that they can wait for the people who don't check out early :)

However, they could’ve done with a couple of extra staff at key times (breakfast and dinner) Room was clean, bed was comfy but no drawers for clothing All in all a great weekend and would definitely stay at Mama Shelter again

Le premier jour j’avais relevé des traces de poussières dans la chambre mais ce détail est vite passé au second plan tellement le personnel était correct! Les lieux sont atypiques et modernes! Il y’a de quoi divertir les enfants.À faire! Le personnel est très sympathique et très agréable dans l’ensemble, quelque soit le service. Un Big Up pour tout le personnel de restauration qui est professionnel, attentionné et qui veille à la satisfaction des clients. Tout était bon au petit déjeuner comme au restaurant! Au rooftop il y a un service de boissons de qualité et une pizzeria très correcte , nous y avons passé un bon moment! L’hôtel est situé en plein Centre Ville avec les commodités et les commerces à côté. Les dessins animés en salle, dans les toilettes et un « cinémama » peuvent plaire. Nous reviendrons!

The excuse was that they are trying to be more ecological - but that would be solved by bottles fixed to the wall to reduce one use plastics. It was a stress to arrive from NYC and have nothing in the room

Le Staff est super sympa, jeune et attentionné. Buffet petit déjeuner est très copieux. Bref c'était parfait comme toujours dans les hôtels Mama Shelter.

- Mary (10/5): - A funky decor, this hotel has a great location and a fantastic breakfast. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed that it was handy the major metro intersection in an area with good restaurants and we could easily get to the activities we wanted. We were unhappy that we couldn’t lower the temperature in the room with out opening the windows on nights when others were celebrating rugby wins or late night music. Be forewarned that there is very little clothing storage provided.

- Michelle (10/5): Great Location! - Cool place to stay. Lovely breakfast spread and cool rooftop bar. We stayed in the XL room which I recommend. Staff was lovely and very helpful. Ask for a quiet room. I think the lower rooms may be a bit noisy as it's on a main street close to clubs.

Petit bémol sur la propreté: Dans les 2 chambres,il y avait des traces de doigts dans la fenetre,et de la poussière sur l'étagère,dans la 1ere chambre. Le premier soir,il n'y avait pas de clim,et on m'a dit que tout ce qui pouvait etre fait,était de m'apporter une cruche d'eau. On m'a dit qu'on essaierait avec le technicien de nuit,mais il n'est jamais venu. Malgré tout,assurément,une bonne adresse à Toulouse

- Katja (8/5): Schöne Zimmer, cooles Hotel - Essen etwas teuer, aber sehr gut. Nachmittags wurden wir nicht bedient, obwohl es angeblich Kaffee und Kuchen geben sollte. Insgesammt im Hotel tolle Atmosphäre, sehr schöne Zimmer, aber kein schöner Ausblick. Wir hatten leider Pech und mussten mitten in der Nacht umziehen, da das Zimmer plötzlich keinen Strom mehr hatte und stockdunkel war. Ich fragte nach einer Cola auf dem neuen Zimmer, die bekam ich als "Entschädigung" gratis, allerdings erst über eine Stunde Später gegen 1Uhr30 morgens... Unglücklich fand ich, dass es keine Kosmetiktücher auf dem Zimmer gab, die braucht man irgendwie immer. Die Minibar ist leer bis auf eine kleine Flasche gratis Wasser pro Zimmer, vermutlich für den Kaffee. Geträke und Süßigkeiten gibt es übrigens bei einem Späti gegenüber ;-) Ich empfehle das Hotel trotzdem, wenn der Pries stimmt. Gut gelegen und cool mit Rooftop und DJ, wenn es das Wetter zulässt.

- sebastien (6/5): charged a different price than the one book - globally unhappy. the booking was done at 149 euros and the hotel charged me without any reason 170 euros, sounds they allocated me to a larger room that i did not ask for. when i complain they said that Hotel. com charges fees, which is wrong. the person at the reception was not eager to help at all. here are no quiet place to work inside the hotel, the only space being hte restaurant full of loud music. the quality price is not tehre and you could find far better hotel for 170 and charging another price than the one agreed is not acceptable. first time i experienced that in my long use of Hotel ./ com.

- ELIZABETH (10/5): - The room has a lot of character -- who doesn't want Darth Vader hanging over their head while sleeping? (You need to have a sense of humor to stay at Mama Shelter!) The rooms are very minimalist and eco-friendly, so don't expect lots of frills. Delightful rooftop bar to enjoy a lively happy hour scene. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist. Within 5 minutes walking distance to the Capitole, as well as trendy Place St. Georges. I enjoyed my stay!

I was particularly impressed by the service. Everything was so seamless. I usually find one part of a hotel’s service to be weaker than the others, but here all the staff from the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping worked so well together! I’m hoping to come back soon!

We booked the 'small' room, and underestimated just how small it is. Would happily stay at the Mama Shelter in Toulouse again, but wouldn't recommend the 'small' room.
