Guest Reviews
- paul (10/5): - Didnt feel like dining in but got a burger to takeaway.
Best burger Ive had for years.
- Neil (10/5): - Great hotel! Food was excellent!
- joanne (10/5): - Very clean and affordable
- Anne M (8/5): Great location - The room had adjacent parking and was located close to restaurants, cafes and the tourist information centre. It was a good base to visit the wineries in the area.
- Pam (8/5): - Good area to stay
- Murray (6/5): - Please note that check in time is not 10AM as advised by Expedia in booking confirmation. Should read 2PM.
Rooms are not serviced daily. More privacy for your enjoyment.
- Simonne (10/5): - Convenient, clean and tidy.
- Michele (6/5): - We stayed in Rm 3. The room was comfortable, quiet, conveniently located in the city with easy walking distance to the local supermarket and other shops. Parking was plentiful and off street. However, as a bare minimum I expect a reasonable shower. There was a little mould in the one corner but more annoyingly our shower ran hot and then cold, even if it was turned off and on again several times. Not ideal when washing my hair and it was 7deg. outside! The fridge's icebox was so frosted up that we couldn't open it to use it. Overall, it was a convenient mostly comfortable place to stay, I just hope they sort out the issues, particularly the water heating.
- Susan (10/5): - Beautifully clean and comfortable.
- Helen (10/5): - Great value for money. Excellent location.
- Bosco (6/5): - Nil
- Andrew (10/5): - Close to shops & other towns
Evening meal was 10/10
Staff 10/10
Room was clean, carparking in front of room
Enjoyable stay 😊
- Astrid (6/5): Comfortable and Very Clean - It was quiet, off the street at the back of the hotel. The unit was exceptionally clean. Would stay there again.
- Warren (10/5): - Didn't like the shower. Water constantly changed to steaming hot to freezing cold.
- Karien (10/5): - Very comfortable
- Tony (8/5): - It suited what i needed from the place
- Jenny (10/5): - Was happy with the location and the safety and quietness of location, with easy car park out front.
limited for food dining however must remember to eat before 8pm in future on a weeknight in this area.
A good night sleep if you are in transit and recommended. TY
- Elizabeth (8/5): - We were made to feel welcome by staff. Room was spacious; bed was comfortable; area was quiet & parking was directly in front of unit at the back of hotel in main street. Perfect location! Provision of a microwave would have made it a perfect choice!
- Mike (10/5): - Central town location; comfortable and cosy; excellent value and within walking distance to a wide range of retailers.
- Allan (6/5): - Central to all amenities in the area
Only an hour from the airport
- Anne (10/5): - Convenient and quiet

- Annie (8/5): - We stay here regularly. It’s very central and close to everything we like. The rooms are quite dated but always clean and comfortable. Shower is great. The area is quiet but the walls between rooms are thin and you can hear your neighbours. This is really our only negative.
- Bruce (10/5): - A very good stay. Only observation was that the carpet could do with a professional clean? Loved the comfy bed!
- Julia (8/5): - Clean (ignoring some mould in the bathroom), comfortable and conviently located. Good value for money. It is by no means a 5 star hotel but is what I expected for the price.
- Stephen (10/5): - Small number of rooms, so it doesn’t feel crowded
- Gayle (10/5): - Great cheap 1 night stay for Gather Round. Close to shuttle for ground and conveniently located n Main Street Tanunda. One of only 4 rooms at rear of hotel cat park.

- Kirsty (8/5): - This was a much better place than we had expected. The rooms were spacious and nicely set out, car parking straight out the front door. The hotel is on the main street but the actual accommodation units are around the back in a quiet street. Definitely value for money
- Susan (4/5): - Room had not been cleaned prior to arrival even though staff assured us it was ready.
- Peter (10/5): - Nice quaint accommodation
- Peter (8/5): - .

- Peter (8/5): - Good service
- Nikkie (10/5): - Great place to stay, everything on your door step. Great price would highly recommend
- John (8/5): - Right in the centre of the main street but the units are set well back from the noise. Decent room, the only negative was inconsistent water temperature in the shower. Good range of dinner options in the dining room.
- Trevor (10/5): - The rooms were kept very clean, the bed was comfortable and it was centre of town, i would recommend it to anyone
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place was clean, warm and very convenient in the centre of town. Would stay again.
- Ken (10/5): - Good size, good shower and peaceful.
- Suzanne (8/5): - Staff, Paul in particular, was fantastic. Check in was fast and easy, told Paul we had a show to go to, he was onto it and got us a table for dinner so we could eat before we headed off, outstanding service from this gentleman! Thanks Paul :)
Only negative, would be the room. Suggestion: Bedside lamps would be nice to have!!
- Carmel (6/5): - Convenient
- Vicki (2/5): - Owner is not very friendly.
Tiles in the shower looked like they were about to fall off,hot water took ages to get hot then it would go cold tried to adjust then went too hot. Shower had sliding panels that were hard to open & close.
Aircon unit was old.
Bed was comfy & cleaners done a good job.
Bathroom really needs updating.
- Janine (8/5): - The property was what we expected for Pub Accommodation. The room was comfortable and clean.
- Glenn (10/5): - Great location. Excellent
- Paris (8/5): Everything is great but the shower - Just stayed 1 night, the room was clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed and had all the amenities needed: fridge, kettle, tea, milk and cutlery/ mugs/ plates. The only down side was the shower, the water was either boiling or freezing. It would be a good temp for 1-2 minutes then freezing/ boiling that would take 5+ minutes to fix it.
- David (8/5): - All was very good we enjoyed our stay and will be back
- Linda (8/5): - Nice unit, good value
- Gary (8/5): - The room was very clean and cosy. The only issue was the hot water service. It ran hot, then cold. The hot water ran out when having a shower the first night. I informed the staff, and they told me maintenance will have a look at the problem. In the morning the hot water ran out again. We had to turn off the hot water, then turn it back on again, it came back on, but we had very quick showers.
We had noticed on our arrival the front doors of some other rooms had notes on them informing them the hot water had been fixed.
The location is very good, but could the hot system be fixed or replaced?
Thank you
- Mary-Rose (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at Valley Hotel ! It was comfortable, clean and in easy walking distance to just about everything.
- Jenny (10/5): - Clean and comfortable
- Zoe (8/5): Perfect location and price for a pre-Easter night - We booked the room with bath tub but only had a shower. Check in was fine, just went into the pub and got the key. Room was clean and a decent size and tucked behind the pub so quiet. There was only one small drinking glass which was a pain.
In the morning we were walking back through the gate from the main street and a woman came out and said she was locking the gate to get through to the rooms because the pub was shut - was a bit rude. Also, I managed to leave my water bottle in the fridge and only remembered once we had locked the door with the key inside. We called them but no answer and pub shut so had to leave it there.
- Christine (8/5): - Good size room, old building but very clean. Very reasonable rate….
- Murray (8/5): - Really liked it
- Salvatore (8/5): - all good and close to stores and shopping
- Murray (8/5): - It suits our purpose admirably

- Yoshikazu (10/5): Ideal place to stay in Tanunda - This was our second stay here and it was simmilary good as previous stay. Valley Hotel is situated central of Tanunda and there are many restaurants close to this hotel.

Unit one was spotless and so clean - could not be faulted. Spa was most welcome after a long day.

- Verlaine (10/5): - The room was well priced, clean and comfortable. I was in the area to attend a motorcycle event as a an official and just needed a bed for the night. Location was close to hotels, restaurants & takeaways so I was able to dine in my room and get an early for a very early start in the morning. Parking was off street and right outside the room. Perfect for what I needed, I will choose this location to stay again when I’m in Tanunda.
