- Uma (10/5): Home away from home. - Rooms are very comfortable with facilities and everything working. Location is central. Excellent food. Staff is super friendly and always there to help with the owner himself making you feel so welcome as if back home. Jampa is one of the best places I have stayed in Nepal. Love it and will keep coming here whenever I land in Kathmandu. Rooms on streetside can feel bit noisy. But that's due to the busy area which is also a plus point for its central location. It does not take away any of the good aspects of the place with warm people.

I arrived early in the morning after a night flight and not only did they check me in early at no cost but they also upgraded my room. I managed to get some well needed rest and highly appreciated the courtesy!!! The location is great. The rooms are clean. The staff readily responds to any query and there is free storage. Loved it. Would book again!!

The next day I had an early morning flight, they gave me a packed breakfast which was really nice but the packed breakfast is below average and they didn’t even check of my preference veg/non veg/vegan/allergic and gave whatever they thought was right. Not a big thing but this can be improved with checking with the guest prior.

- Joana (10/5): - This hotel is just incredible! I went back three times whilst travelling in Nepal and commuting through Kathmandu. The rooms are superb - immaculately clean and so comfortable. Toiletries and towels included in all their rooms. The staff is the most welcoming, helpful and nicest I've ever seen and the breakfast is yummy and varied (it changes daily but while I stayed there they had waffles, pancakes, veggie fritters, baked beans, potatoes, cereal, fruit, bacon, eggs your way, and barista coffe). The location is very central but in a quiet street, which in Kathmandu is rare. The airport pick-up was very helpful and on time - you can book this either via WhatsApp or on the booking app chat. You can also store you luggage if you're off trekking in the mountains. Genuinely, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! The only small improvement I could recommend is that they offer plant-based milk for breakfast and coffee - such as soy, oat, coconut, etc. If they advertise it in the menu, even non-vegans might want to go for it as it is quite popular at the moment. They can buy small individual packs to make sure it doesn't go bad, in case demand is a concern.

Breakfast was mostly Western (that I like) but no "rice" for my Asian wife. But still it was good! Good location plenty of shops, restaurants, etc. Not too far from airport. Bed and pillow comfortable, clean, good housekeeping, safe in room, complimentary ride to the airport in comfort. Our room had AC but it blew at the head of the bed which is a problem for me, so couldn't use at night. Shower could be a bit more enclosed to keep the water in the shower and not at the toilet area outside the shower. Constant Bathroom ventilation was good to keep down the sewer smells common with Asian bathroom plumbing due to improper traps and seals, but had to get used to the slight fan sound at first but closing the bathroom door kept the sound down greatly.

The street next to the hotel was really loud, and the windows were not blocking the sound at all, so I would not call this soundproof... On the othe hand - same situation is in all other hotels we had in Nepal... If you want to sleep quiet - have to find a hotel further from busy streets.

Jedynym minusem są śniadania. W części restauracyjnej rano bywa dość chłodno, przez co serwowane potrawy szybko tracą temperaturę. Dodatkowo menu śniadaniowe jest mało urozmaicone, ponieważ każdego dnia pojawiają się praktycznie te same propozycje.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, and a shuttle service from the airport was very handy. The only negative I experienced was how loud the street outside was in the evening. Might have been a one off, but the street noise outside from around 10pm-1am was hard to ignore.

Το προσωπικό ήταν άψογο σε όλα τα πόστα. Το πρωινό δυνατό και αρκετό. Μας έδωσαν και δωρεάν ομπρέλα ένα βράδυ που έβρεχε. Δωρεάν η μία μεταφορά για αεροδρόμιο. Πραγματικά πολύ καλή επιλογή για οικονομική λύση στο υπέροχο Κατμαντού!

En revanche le balcon qui donne sur la rue est super pour voir ce qui se passe. - Les réceptionnistes de l'hôtel ont oublié de commander le taxi pour mon départ à l'aéroport mais heureusement d'autres clients partaient en même temps et j'ai pu monter avec eux.

Sowohl die Geschäftsführung als auch das Personal haben sofort reagiert und alles getan, um meinen Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Diese Aufmerksamkeit und Unterstützung haben mir sehr viel bedeutet. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich das Gefühl von Familienbewusstsein, Geborgenheit und Sicherheit, das mir in diesem Hotel vermittelt wurde. Man fühlt sich hier wirklich willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Mein Dank gilt nicht nur dem Hotelteam und der Geschäftsleitung, sondern auch den Taxifahrern, die ebenfalls sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit waren und zu einer positiven Erfahrung beigetragen haben. Ich kann das Jampa Hotel daher nur weiterempfehlen. Natürlich gibt es immer Dinge, die sich weiterentwickeln können, aber das hat nichts mit dem Hotel selbst zu tun, sondern eher mit landes- und kulturspezifischen Gegebenheiten. Nochmals vielen Dank an alle Beteiligten für die herzliche Betreuung und den angenehmen Aufenthalt.
