Guest Reviews
- Jignesh (10/5): - Overall place was good!
- Kaushik (8/5): - Property is is great location and attractions were easily accessible general staff was fluently but front office could put a little smile on their face. Rooms and was rooms were clean however rooms does not depict what’s shown in booking pictures. Only complaint was the mattress was hard worn out and not comfortable based upon pricing literally all the springs should be felt.
- SUDHIR (6/5): - Frontdesk staff was coordial. However, overall cleaniness and quality of hotel need a lot in improvement.
- Srikanth (8/5): - It's a good hotel to stay but the room didn't meet my expectations as per the photo. Food st the restaurant was amazing. Proximity to temple and ghat is the main advantage.
- Mathinah Baham (8/5): - Toilet need to improve.
- Vivek K (4/5): - Location
- Kyle (10/5): - I loved the location of this place. If you walk out the front door and turn left, you instantly enter a traditional Indian bazaar. If you keep going you run into the Ganges river and the Ghats. Turn left at the river and you quickly hit the burning Ghats. The staff was also friendly and helped me with anything I needed. I would definitely stay here again.
- Rajesh (10/5): - Very good location- close to shopping, close to Kashi Vishvanath temple, close to Dashashwmedh ghat for Ganga Aarti. Very clean and well maintained. Very good restaurant and breakfast / lunch / dinner options.
- ROHIT (2/5): - Drunk staff was trying to break into the room in the middle of the night. My family felt extremely unsafe. Would not recommend to anyone traveling with family.
- Pooja (8/5): - Hotel was good for a quick trip. Very close to nearby Varanasi attractions. The staff were very accommodating. There are no windows in the rooms which can make you feels isolated. But overall decent experience.
- Anil (10/5): - Conveniently located to near by important places.
- Seshi (8/5): - Location is very convenient to the temple and the ghats, just 8 tom10 minutes walk. Lots of restaurants options nearby. Too crowded roads near this hotel but it’s expected as it’s the main way to temple and ghats.
If your main purpose of the trip is to visit temple and ghats, this is the best hotel for stay. Hotel beds and sheets need improvements. Staff is friendly. Stay safe while walking into the crowds, don’t carry any valuables with you.
- Manoj (10/5): Superb Location - Good hotel and amazing location. Great place to stay
- Umakant (6/5): - It’s ok , there restaurant is nice !’
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My room had no windows and I did not like that .
The staff were very helpful and the location was very good .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Positives:
The hotel is nice and clean, with decent dining option. The staff is prompt and courteous. The hotel is kept very clean.
Negatives:
1. Cars cannot come into the hotel after 11 am or so. If you have luggage, travel with kids and senior citizens, you will have to walk a fair amount of distance before you get to the hotel. The walk is challenging, because it is extremely crowded and busy with heavy traffic, and really filthy. That general area around the hotel is quite filthy. Thus the walk can be quite dangerous.
2. If you get a room close to the kitchen, it is noisy as hell till late night, and starts again early morning. Good luck getting good sleep.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Food is not that great. We had a party but it was not that great . Overall very okay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All staff is kindly, friendly and hospitality. I do come back and stay at this hotel again when I go to Nepal next time! Thank you very much:))))
- Kamal (2/5): - Horrible
- Ravinder (10/5): Excellent Hotel - I am retired army officer and stayed in room no. 304 of Ganges Grand Hotel.
I am highly impressed by the cleanliness, hospitable ,well mannered, trained & well groomed staff .
Persons at reception are highly professional ,well behaved and courteous.
Crew members at Restaurant Dawat are wonderful & serve with smile. Restraunt is clean, food served is tasty and delicious.
House Keeping staff is efficient and highly impressed by the prompt service.
Value for money.
I wish all the best to all the staff of team Ganges Grand.
- Unexpected (10/5): - The hotel is near to the important places.
The staff are so courteous and pleasing. The person named Raunak was so helpful and informative. The guide (Manohar) that was attached to us was so patient in explaining everything and guiding us perfectly what to do when to do w.r.t temple Darshanam etc.
