- Nur (9/5): Superb - The receptionist very kind. Assist me for every questions/ problem that I have. They gave me mineral water even during my check out. They help me to bring my bags to my room. The location is very near to the east gate of ancient town. And only 20 mins to the airport. For Muslims, there are so many halal restaurants nearby.
- Liany (8/5): Very good - The guesthouse is a Tibetan style hotel! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable but they were a little cold! There was heating and electric mattress to keep us warm. The location is great, very close to the ancient city and they offered us a free pick up from the train station, which was really kind! They don’t offer breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants nearby, but the streets are freezing in the morning, so it’s important to wear warm clothes! The hosts were very kind and helpful and we felt very welcomed there They offer disposable towels, which I don’t like very much

- Alexia (10/5): Wonderful traditional inn with amazing owners - Great hospitality from the owners. They offer free pick up and drop off at train station service. They were always reachable and helpful. We wanted to do some tours and they helped us arrange 2 tours, with a very good price. The hotel room is spacious with beautiful traditional Tibetan like decors. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the surroundings were quiet. Outstanding location as it is like 5 mins walk from the old town. We could easily access different attractions. Totally recommend if you want to have a real experience of Shangri-la and Tibetan culture. The shower took quite some time before getting hot water, and it was not easy to adjust the temperature. It is probably due to the high altitude that impacted the water pressure. As it was really cold at night, make sure you let the water run for a bit before stepping in.

- Erwan (10/5): A beautiful place with most lovely people - What a beautiful place! The people are so nice and helpful, they have done everything to make us feel at home. The room is comfortable and close to the best places in the old town. This is our favourite place in China. Nothing.
- Eva (2/5): so they should offer the service to come and pick you up at the airport/station but they NEVER replied so we had to - so first they should offer the service to come and pick you up at the airport/station but they NEVER replied so we had to take a bus and then we found out that the adress that is showed on the site is not correct so we walked around for ONE HOUR when finally a random guy helped us.. when we came inside we saw 5 people around the table playing at the computer and smoking a lot when they saw us one of them came and without saying even hello the first thing he said was : how you want to pay? second it’s written that they have the service for cleaning the room but when we asked them they said that they don’t it’s also written that they help you for tours and staff to do around the city but when we were asking they couldn’t explain anything even with google translate. I think that maybe for some Chinese people that they know the language would be a little better but if you are a tourist I would never recommend it.. Aldo they don’t even have towels just some paper stuff the only positive thing is that when we had to take a taxi from there to the station they paid for it and we appreciated a lot but for the rest it’s a big no no

- Shan (10/5): Will definitely come back! - It's centrally located in the 獨克宗古城Dukezhong old town, just 5 mins walk to the famous 轉經筒temple, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Good working wifi. Hot shower water. Heating and warm electric blanket are awesome in this chilly weather of Shangri-la. Sometimes we just chilled in the hostel and feeling home here! Nothing really

- Melody (4/5): Disappointing - The location was good The room didn’t look the one we booked, when we arrived, the receptionist was not talking any English, he didn’t check in us at the first time and we needed to come again later . The “reception” was occupied by a bunch of friends smoking and playing videos games laughing at us when we re passing by the lobbies. ( western ) The room was smelling cigarette, toilet was not working properly bathroom wasn’t very neat and they gave us only disposable towels.
- Riccardo (4/5): Not a hotel. More a guest house with poor management. - Family room was beautiful - real Tibetan style. One of the two beds was very comfortable. Ideal location. Other bed had no mattress. We had to add the sofas pads. No towels (disposable towels that felt like paper) - recommend you bring your own. Bathroom very basic. No cleaning during our stay (2 nights). Bathtub unusable. Heating via wood stove - we did not mind but better be prepared to get up every 2 hours to put wood in the stove if it is cold outside. No reception- a small room used by a bunch of friends who play video games and smoke cigarettes. All in all good potential, but no proper management.

- Francesc (8/5): We had a very good stay - Very close to city center, wonderful and warm rooms. The staff did not speak english but was very nice and they did the effort. We could end up understandig via Weixin chat. They also had a washing machin available which was very suitable for us The water from the shower inundated the toilet space, we had to put towels in between. Also the bathroom was not very clean and the towels were one use only.

- Vivi (10/5): Would book again, if I travel to Shangri-La again - The location was great, just a few steps from Ancient town and close to East gate, where I got dropped off from the bus (coming from Tiger leaping gorge - Tina's house). The staff were super friendly and help me a lot during my stay. I cannot speak Chinese so they helped me to plan and looked up how can visit different attractions in Shangri-La with great patience. The room was cosy and clean.

- Oliver (6/5): A place for back-packers to stay 2 nights on their way to the mountains. Not indicated for families. - The location is good. You will find a parking space in the road around the hotel without too much trouble. The hotel organizes trips so it can be a starting point for travelling around the mountains. There was not issue having our mid-size dog with us with this hotel. I would only recommend the place for back-packing travellers who do not mind steep stairs, a cozy (no clean) aspect to pass through on their trip to the mountains. When we arrived the operator did not want to respect the booking and tried to send us away. I think they sold the room at a higher price and wanted to get rid of us. May-be it was an honest mistake, but this was not my read. The English ability of the operator is not good, so I could not have solved the issue without my chinese speaking girl-friend. Anyway, we ended up in a different room, which was smaller than we had booked. The hotel as carpets that really need a deep cleaning. Overall aspect is not a clean one.
