Guest Reviews
- bonifacio (10/5): Wonderful stay at Marvels on the Creek - Beautiful house and surrounding area. Very relaxing as it is by the water. Delicious breakfast with a lot of variety. The freshly baked sticky bun is to die for!
Debbie is the perfect host. Very accommodating and so much fun to talk to!
She is welcoming and makes you feel at home in her house.
The house is beautiful and the outside is very relaxing as it is by the water.
Comfortable accommodations and will stay again.
First time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and it left a good impression on me.
- Michael (10/5): Beautiful location and very hospitable owner - Debbie is a very engaging host - her home is beautiful…both inside and out. The riverfront location is beautiful and extremely relaxing. I highly recommend Marvel by the River for a peaceful escape from your everyday.
- dwight (10/5): - The property was unique because the room we had was called the Honeymoon Suite. It had an entire kitchen plus a master suite with separate shower and an old fashioned four legged tub. Plus we had a private balcony and a separate entrance to come and go. Our scene each morning that we woke up to was a river with a pier where my husband fished. Ms. Debbie was pleasant, sweet and a perfect host who welcomed us with open arms. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a beautiful time.😊
- Katy (10/5): - Bonnie is a gracious host and makes a great breakfast!
- Christina (10/5): - Beautiful place! Our room was huge…double room. Breakfast was delicious. Jacuzzi was nice & hot. Peaceful sitting out on dock. Felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Debbie the owner is so sweet.
- Stephen (10/5): - The owner is wonderful, great to converse with and extremely interesting!
- Susan (10/5): - Debbie was a wonderful hostess! She was very friendly and accommodating and her breakfasts were amazing! Our suite was very nice; spacious and comfortable. The decor was homey. Being so near to the river and having a dock was a big plus! I was outside taking pictures of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets every chance I could. The next time we come to the Cambridge, MD area, we will definitely stay at Marvel's on the Creek!
- John (10/5): - Beautiful property. Gracious, friendly, helpful host. She provided an excellent breakfast and gave us great suggestions of area attractions.
- Ellen (10/5): - Charming, peaceful setting on a creek with lovely flowers, a sunroom, sunny deck & pier. Plus, a large, comfortable room/bed with a state-of-the-art bathroom, delicious breakfasts and hostess, Debbie Dazee. I’ll be back! Ellen
- Kirsten (10/5): - Marvel's is a beautiful home on a gorgeous piece of property. Restful but lots of nature going on. The hosts have thought of everything you might need and Debby serves perhaps the best lemon bread ever! A true treat to visit.

- Bernadette (10/5): Friendly Picturesque B&B - Debbie & Alan are wonderful hosts making you feel like you are part of the family. The accommodation is clean comfortable & sits in a beautiful location. We sat on the dock over the river watching the sun go down. Debbie’s breakfast are the best we had in the US& as you share the table with other guests breakfast is both entertaining and enlightening. Advice on what to see locally was good. We would recommend Marvels on the Creek without any hesitation.

- June (10/5): Warm welcome and beautiful setting - Guests are staying in the hosts’ home, not separate accommodation. Debby does everything herself and is an extremely attentive and expert host. It is a beautiful home.
- John (10/5): - Debbie is the perfect hostess, nothing is too much trouble for her. She gave us the best breakfast of our 3 week trip, as well as cookies and cake to welcome us and take with us when we left. Debbie also made a restaurant reservation for us at very short notice and was able to get us a window table with a view. Marvels on the Creek is in a beautiful location, very peaceful and great for visiting places on the Eastern Shore. Our room was wonderful and we wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely recommend and hope to return.
- Ellen (10/5): - We could only stay one night, but it was so worth it after a lot of frantic driving from the south. Even though we arrived at 10PM our host was waiting and so welcoming. We had a huge room with everything one could ask for. Wonderful views. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was anything one wanted and then some. Our host chatted with us and we had a jolly good time comparing notes on grandchildren and the area. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay here again. well done!

- Asgeir (10/5): Fantastic Eastern Shore Getaway - I highly recommend Marvels to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, comfortable bed and breakfast experience on the Eastern Shore. Debbie was a fantastic hostess and served a beautiful home-cooked breakfast, as well as a little wine and cheese refresher in the afternoon. The location is beautiful, rooms are well appointed, bathrooms modern and clean. A truly great weekend, and I highly recommend you sit and chat with Debbie. She's a hoot! She can even get you a reservation at the local crab place, which can be a challenge.
- Carl (10/5): - This was our first time to a B&B but will not be our last and we will be back to Marvels on the Creek. From our quick check in call to our goodbye we were made to feel welcome.
The property is amazing with unbeatable views, breakfast was outstanding. A totally enjoyable stay.
Oh, restaurant with nice menu & steamed crabs is 5 minute car ride…could easily be walked but our stay the temps were too high for that.
I fully recommend a visit!
- Grace (10/5): - Debbie is so warm, friendly and hospitable. Her homemade breakfast was delicious including lemon bread and freshly cut fruit along with the works. The grounds are beautiful. - Heather (10/5): Marvelous! - Best B and B experience every! Would go back over and over!
- Julian (10/5): - Everything you would want in a B&B - and more, including excellent full cooked breakfast. We had a massive bedroom/sitting room plus eat-in kitchen and our own separate entrance. - Stephen (10/5): - As others have said, this is a wonderful place to stay. Debbie is incredibly friendly, Marley was sweet and fun, the room was great, the view of the river and the dock was fabulous, breakfast was great…. We saw a bald eagle and an osprey catch fish in the river while sipping wine on the dock as the sun was going down. What more can you ask for?
- Heather (10/5): - Perfect stop. House on the water with a beautiful sunrise. Cozy room with a claw footed soaking tub. 6 Min walk to fresh local seafood restaurant. Fabulously cheery host that will make a DELICOUS breakfast and your stay memorable. Remember to bring your bathing suit for the hot tub.
- robert (10/5): - Pam was a wonderful hostess.
She and Allen have a great place.
The atmosphere was very relaxing. Felt like home.
Would definitely recommend and stay there again.
- Carolyn (10/5): - A step in the door, and you are warmly welcomed as a friend by Debbie. A tour around the house, and you feel at home. A glass of wine on the deck with other guests, and you totally relax. Your head on the pillow, and you sleep like a log on the wonderfully comfortable bed. A place at the table, and you are served delicious and hearty breakfasts, including fresh eggs from resident chickens. We hope to be back!!
- Paul (8/5): - There was no A/C in the room though mentioned AC available while booking
- Nicole (10/5): The best stay on our trip - The accommodations far exceeded our expectations. The room was huge and well appointed,. The room was lovingly decorated with attention to detail. We really enjoyed sitting at the end of the pier on the river watching the sunset in complete peace. Our hosts were extremely friendly and treated us to a very tasty and plentiful breakfast. It was the best stay on our trip and we will come back.
- Pamela (10/5): Wonderful hosts - We stayed overnight and we have decided to return again next spring for fishing and kayaking off their pier. Debbie is a great host-really enjoys her guests.
- Nelson (10/5): Once you go, you'll want to return. - Marvel's on the Creek is a fabulous place to get away and just relax. It sits on Cabin Creek, has a lovely water view, and amazingly comfortable and tasteful accommodations--all the things necessary for a superlative B & B. Proprietors, Debbie and Alan, are personable, kind and fun to be around, and they go out of their way to provide whatever guests need or want. It's like visiting relatives that you actually like!
The breakfast is amazing, and if you walk away from the breakfast table hungry, it's on you rather than on the varied and delicious offerings Debbie serves.
This was our fifth visit, and we're planning on a sixth.
- DAVE (10/5): - What can you say, this place is TOPS in my book, I will definitely return. We were sorry we had to leave after 1 night, we almost stayed just for the scenery and hospitality. The breakfast was probably one of the best breakfasts I had at any B & B. The owners are so friendly and inviting, you feel like your home.
Thank you for your place, I will be back sometime in the future, maybe just to stay there and hang out, I will bring my fishing pole next time.
- Ronald (10/5): - I could not live this property and my experience there more! It’s tucked away privately through cornfields and scenic roads. I wondered where it was for a second and it delivered. It’s everything I needed. Beautiful. Comfortable. Affordable. And chairs lakeside in the dock. I’ll return again and again. My nervous system exhaled.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - Beautiful property and wonderful personal service from the owner.
- Lind (10/5): - It was a beautiful, quiet location.
- Cathleen C (10/5): - Exceptional in every way. Beautiful property. Beautiful view. Romántic dock and cozy deck off our room. Nice breakfast. Clean room and common áreas with lots of extra details.
- TONI L (10/5): - My husband and I stayed last week from Wednesday through Sunday and they were the most peaceful and relaxing 5 days we've ever spent while vacationing. We stayed in the cottage, a really cute place with everything we needed. It offered the privacy that my husband and I are accustomed to. The proprietors are top notch. Their welcoming dispositions made us feel like we were visiting a grandparents' home. Having a delicious, well prepared breakfast every morning was a very good way to begin the day. I can't comment on the local restaurants because we were able to cook and BBQ at the cottage, which was very nice. All in all, I highly recommend this bed and breakfast and will hopefully find my way back, with grandsons in tow.
- KEVIN (10/5): - Beautiful setting on the water. Lovely accommodations, excellent breakfast and a gracious and welcoming host. A treat to stay there.

- Alan (10/5): - We've travelled extensively, and Marvel's is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. A lovingly-furnished inn, a picturebook-perfect waterfront setting, a stunning breakfast each morning, and lots of real Eastern Shore hospitality. We loved it.
- Mary (10/5): - Hard to tell in less that 100 words. Hosts were charming, breakfast best ever, very comfortable bed, great shower, wonderful views, lovely dog, felt very welcome.
Highly recommend .
- DAWN (10/5): - The BEST B&B we've stayed at! The owner is wonderful, the property is beautiful, VERY clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the food is excellent. A very relaxing place close to everything you might want to do on the Eastern Shore.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful location, wonderful hosts. - Staying at Marvel's on the Creek was like visiting your favorite relative or friend. The hosts are exceptional - warm, helpful, friendly and so considerate. The grounds have many cozy places to sit and relax and enjoy the peaceful, wonderful view . ..on a swing, on the dock, on the deck, in chairs on the lawn, by a firepit. The rooms were clean, the sheets were nice, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well stocked - nice strong shower. Debbie loaned us binoculars for our trip to the Blackwater refuge and gave great dinner suggestions. The breakfast with the other guests was enjoyable - Debbie knows how to make everyone feel at home and comfortable. She also made delicious home cooked breakfasts - including PERFECTLY cooked bacon. We highly recommend visiting Marvels on the Creek.

This gateway was the most wonderful one we had for years. The whole experience was beyond anything we expected.
- Tina (10/5): Loved It - It was awesome. The owner is great staying there was like being with family.
- John (10/5): - Our hostess was charming and her hospitality outstanding. Our room was quiet, well-appointed with a modern bathroom and a small refrigerator. Not only did she facilitate our dinner reservation, but she introduced us to fellow guests to create a warm atmosphere. It was too cold to use the outside spa but the view was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. A warm and welcome experience.
- Beverly (10/5): Valentine/Birthday Getaway - We had a large room, which included a tub/shower and a living room, with TV. It was very, very comfortable. The bathroom was in the hallway and a common area was just down the hall, where there was a full kitchen. The view from the bedroom was beautiful. The property was perfectly situated on Cabin Creek and Debbie and Alan were very friendly and pleasant. The breakast was very nice. We ate supper at nearby Suicide Bridge Restaurant. It is only a mile away from the B & B. We would return again. (We also received a nice box of Lindt chocolates for Valentine's Day!)
- Alan (10/5): - A peaceful retreat, very clean and nice, very friendly welcome. It also helps that there is a restaurant nearby.
- Jane (10/5): - The hosts were friendly and inviting.
- Isabelle (8/5): - Loved the peace and quiet, being on the creek, gracious hosts (Debbie is amazing!!), sweet dog, close to Cambridge and the 50, but feels remote and rural. Great sunroom!
- Katharine (10/5): - The property is spacious and beautifully located on the water. The breakfast is delicious. The hosts are welcoming and kind!
- Vera A (10/5): - Everything was wonderful. The only downside was that there was no internet service.
- Janet W. (10/5): Perfect Getaway - We thoroughly enjoyed our midweek getaway at Marvels On The Creek. Beautiful lodging and surroundings. Super nice hosts. Wine & cheese to welcome us upon arrival and homemade breakfast to start our day. Perfect location for visiting Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Freedom Center and Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Nearby Suicide Bridge Restaurant served up an amazing array of seafood choices for dinner. Simply the perfect getaway…..we’ll be back!
- Richard (10/5): - This was a fantastic B B. Scrupulously clean, beautifully appointed with antiques and homey decor, beautiful riverside setting. Warm and gracious hosts Debbie and Al served a huge home cooked delicious breakfast. The room had a super-comfortable bed and ultra- modern bath (loved the rain shower!). This was a perfect B B experience!!
- Anand (10/5): A lovely weekend in August - We spent a lovely night at Marvel's in August. The site is heartbreakingly lovely and we were very well looked after! Love the hospitality. We will be back.
