Guest Reviews
- ALICIA (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. - Everyone was so friendly and accomodating.
No complaints at all. Nothing at the museum itself - felt that when you first come into town from the east that signage to the muesum indicating you turn left not right would be helpful.
- Benjamin (10/5): Great place - Great accommodation. Travelled there with my seven year old son on a special trip. Couldn't have asked for any better in that area.. absolutely fantastic.
- John (9/5): -
- Rob (8/5): Great spot to stay if visiting the dinosaur museum - Clean, modern, functional No restaurant facilities
- Lesley (10/5): - Best place I stayed on my Outback trip. I hope that other towns and attractions copy this idea of a lodge. Particularly in a wilderness setting, this is the idea kind of accommodation.
- Juergen (8/5): -
- Richard (9/5): We liked it very much. - Just about everything...hadn't expected that level of quality, space, etc. It wasn't made clear in the instruction blurb that the motel reception was at the museum, so we went to the Lodge and then had to drive back and call at the museum - a bit annoying after a long drive, and unnecessary.
- Errol (8/5): Just OK, we have seen it but definitely wouldn’t stay there again. - Nice big rooms and a very quiet location. Fabulous Sunrise and Sunset. Very handy to town. We booked to go to the Natural History Museum and arrived at 1415.Prior to checking in we discussed doing the tour at 0900 the next morning (Sunday) only to be told they don’t open Sundays.
We had no option but to do the 1500 tour which didn’t really suit us. There was no staff or room services nor any Wifi.
Bookings should have told us of these things.
- Robert (10/5): Best accommodation handy to the dinosaur museum - Lovely modern accommodation with a surprising serve yourself breakfast pantry. The location is very remote (no shops for 100km) and we only stayed to visit the Eromanga dinosaur museum, which was closed the day we arrived. This was not evident when we booked. We stayed for two nights and subsequently discovered that we could have bought a package which included experiences at the museum (which would have been of great interest). no one told us about the options before we came nor after our arrival.
- Reece (9/5): Was a great location with beautiful rooms - Nice new facilities. Left the door open for us with a note
- William (10/5): - Staff is very kind and helpful. The property is quiet and very pretty. Conveniently located to the natural history museum and close enough to town. Rooms were clean and very comfortable.
- Kathleen (10/5): The location was so peaceful and quiet we were the only guests so we had the place to ourselves - This property was so lovely and clean and tidy with so many amenities There was nothing not to like
- Lesley (9/5): Memorable stay in Eromanga, fascinating museum and terrific dinosaurs. - Fabulous location at the museum. Beautiful facility with larder and kitchen for guests use. Nothing not to like. More people need to visit!
- Owen (10/5): - Fantastic property. Very quiet out of town. Free breakfast a bonus
- Angela (10/5): Not what I expected in the outback. Great place to stay. Beds are awesome!! - The lodge is a great set up. I could have easily stayed longer. A Place to relax and reset.
- Wendy (10/5): We had such an enjoyable stay at the Coopers Country Lodge. - Extremely comfortable room & bed. It was such a peaceful spot. Highly recommended. Thought the price was a bit over the top.
There is a bit of mould starting in the bathroom which the cleaners need to get rid of before it becomes a big problem.
Try cleaning vinegar, it's excellent.
- John (8/5): - Located next to the Eromanga Museum abt 4km from the small town. Very comfortable and clean. Great for an overnight stop if visiting the museum.
- Sharon (7/5): A wonderful remote location to visit - The location was fabulous and the new building was wonderful. It was a great experience and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The plumbing wasn't finished and the stink pipes to the sewage were not connected. This meant the smell came up through the floor wastes into the room. We had to cover these to stop the odours entering the room. Also the outside drip from the Air Conditioner was located behind the bed and it was quite annoying. The feed needed to be extended away from the building so the dripping could not be heard. The Room was just wonderful and clean and comfy and modern it was just a shame that these few things were making it unpleasant. We let the staff know so these issues could be sorted out with the next round of funding and building work.
- Janice (9/5): Couple of retirees! - A well arranged and well appointed unit with a shared larder well stocked for breakfast. Nothing really.
- Rafiq (8/5): Very good - . .

- Phil (9/5): Excellent, I would definitely stay there again and revisit the Museum nearby. - The staff went out of their way to welcome us and even changed the date of the booking. The price was less than expected. The room very modern and all facilities. Also a butler's kitchen with breakfast goodies and even more facilities. The location was superb, set in the wilderness, peaceful and safe. Nothing!

- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thorkild (9/5): Superb -
- Jan (10/5): - Well appointed, stylish room and access to a kitchenette, lounge area, BBQ and laundry and a light breakfast was included. Best part was the setting, in the middle of the bush just a short walk or drive from the museum. .
- John (9/5): Superb - Modern, clean, excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Great comfortable bed. Signage where reception and lodge is located could be better.
Needs a sign in town in a suitable location giving clear directions on how to get to the complex as advertised.
- David (10/5): - Great location next to museum.
- Kelvin (10/5): - Beautiful rooms, beautiful setting, staff very helpful
- JULIE (10/5): - everything...an oasis from a long drive
- Anne (10/5): - Lovely views over the bush and the night views of the sky are amazing if it’s not cloudy! Lots of varieties of birds to see. Great spacious rooms with a good bathroom and the only improvement would be a window in the room to look out at the view. It felt a little enclosed.
- Tania (10/5): - Cooper’s Country Lodge is absolutely wonderful! Such lovely new, clean facilities with breathtaking outback views as far as the eye can see - so truly unique!
- Rachael (8/5): - Great to stay at while enjoying the museum.
- howard (8/5): - Unique location

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location and surrounding vista was amazing.
Size of room was amazing. Decor was beautiful.
New, clean and presentation was of highest standard. Excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is excellent, eco friendly.
The room was was planned out, the bathroom was very pleasant, the kitchen was well planned & contained everything you needed.
The option of buying a breakfast box was excellent, with plenty to eat from that.
We would stay here again if in town again
We noticed that a broom in the room would have been handy
- Steve (10/5): Excellent accommodation in the far west - A surprise so far west. Delightfully modern, clean & roomy accommodation right beside the Eromanga Natural History Museum. Excellent communal guest facilities enabled some interaction with other guests.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The facilities were very well thought through, modern, convenient and comfortable in a very harsh environment. Well done. Loved the design of the rooms. Very contemporary.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was an amazing place. The location in the middle of the dessert but 5 minutes from Eromanga was fantastic. The staff were really nice. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Bathroom facilities were great. The only negative was no internet but maybe that was a plus because I had a valid excuse to finally swicth off from the world.
- Stephen (10/5): op motel in Channel Country Queensland - Would be rated 4 star and one of the best motels we have stayed in south west Queensland. New , roomy, well appointed, very comfortable. A TOP motel 8n a very remote area.
