- Carol (4/5): - Didn’t appreciate not being able to check in one hour early particular given the weather was so horrible. There is no lounge to sit on only very hard kitchen chairs. There is a constant rattle coming from the a/c. There is black mole around the hand basin. The whole place needs an upgrade urgently. We won’t be back.
- Suzanne (2/5): - It’s old and dated, stained towels, pillow cases… hence I took my own sheet and blankets, I now have bad asthma due to mould in bathroom, will not recommend and will never stay in a cabin again
- Chris (10/5): - We loved the location of our cabin with it being tucked away and beautifully quiet. The rooms were clean and nicely presented and the shower was lovely and hot! The only negative was that we noticed a smell of cigarette smoke in the bedroom with the bunk beds, so we left the window open most of our stay and kept the bedroom door shut.
- Ian (6/5): - Location is good - right on a pretty beach. Cabin we had was old and a bit worn, though clean. Heater was old and very noisy. Sleep or freeze. Overall quality did not justify the price. The wifi was non-existent. It would not even connect properly, let alone provide internet. Just not good enough these days. A star lopped for this alone.

- Geoffrey (6/5): - We had a one night stay at this place in a cabin. The check in person was less than friendly and very matter of fact. The cabin is old and maintenance is a bit lacking. Windows have not been cleaned for some time and the insect screens also have not been cleaned for ages and were full of dust. A water saver on the shower and given what we paid for the night (which was the highest of our trip) you would expect to be able to have a good shower. The beach is close and is beautiful. All in all a very average stay and we would not stay there again.

- Saibeth (6/5): - Property is in a fantastic location but the cabin we stayed in was clean, but in desperate need of updating. New paint and flooring would make a big difference. We also called ahead, as instructed, to let them know we'd be checking in late but had to call again when we arrived to get our room directions and key. The milk in our fridge also expired 3 months ago, not a great experience in our morning cup of tea.

- Claire (6/5): - It was a lovely location but the cabin needs upgrading, especially the bathroom. You need to get in the bath to shower and there was mould around the bath. There needs to be ceiling fans in bedrooms, as the air conditioner doesn’t reach. Otherwise it was a good sized cabin

- Rebekah (2/5): - Unfortunately, the owners of this Big4 are very much letting the brilliant location sell for them. We stayed here about three years ago and it was in need of upgrading, repair and maintenance then. It’s clearly not been done and the park has been left to a state of disrepair. The cabins are in desperate need of upgrading and are generally not well cleaned or maintained. There was mould spawning on the ceiling above the shower cubicle, none of the window screens fit, hence the bug and spider problem, the floor tiles are all cracked and need replacing, the door locks and handles are faulty and the water pressure is far too strong and too hot despite trying to adjust the temperature. The park itself sports dead grass almost everywhere and the playground is a dirty sandpit of rubbish. There was also a miscommunication regarding a deposition not being taken at time of booking and at check in, the woman was rather rude when I queried it and wanted to check my banking before paying the full amount. We won’t be staying here again. Highly recommend The Beach Huts at Middleton or other local caravan parks.

- Laura (10/5): Few nights away in Port Elliot with friends - We loved our stay at the two bedroom cabin, which was situated close to our friends and the playground. Facilities are great - we didn’t use the camp kitchen but that looked well equipped too! Kids loved the jumping pillow and go karts.

- Regina (6/5): - Basic kitchen appliances very good for families. Just need to do washing of the curtains- dirty esp the one in dining area. Looked like the mattress cover on those bunk bed were not changed. You can see hair from the pillows. You can feel coarse dust (? sand)on the bed. There’s were clean flat sheets so we used to cover those used bed stuff. It’s ok to remind clients to tidy the area before leaving but to empty all your bin prior to leaving that sucks. That is the responsibility of the staff. Why do you keep cleaning stuff in the wardrobe anyway, is that the purpose of it? Not sure if all the cabin are the same- even though it is budget accommodation cleanliness should not compromised especially with beddings. Anyhow, thank you for accommodation- it was impromptu booking anyway. Fortunately, only one night, I hope this serves as a reminder to improve the service.
- Dean (8/5): - Cabins were very nice, clean and comfortable, except the bed...very hard and noisy every time you moved, the bathroom could use an upgrade (many cracked and uneven tiles) the shower head was in need of replacing, (it was either too fast...like getting sand blasted or too slow and ended up a trickle) as could the rusty bottomed cooker. The new flooring was very nice, the location was perfect and nice and quiet. Apart from the small little things ( I know I'm just a little too fussy) we had a lovely stay. Beautiful linen on the bed, nice soft towels. I would not hesitate to come back here again in the future.

- Mishy (6/5): - Great spot. Only a couple of things to improve… Bed not comfy at all and with the morning sun coming in under the blinds we didn’t get a good nights sleep. Woke with terrible back pain. TV didn’t work at all and wifi was useless but had plenty of our own wifi, so we just used that at night. Would stay again but bring a mattress topper. We did only have one of the budget cabins so don’t know if the more expensive ones might have been more comfy…

Facilities for Family holidays was very good. but The Villa was not up to standard,Bath room facilities were very old with shower over old bath (very dangerous) when stepping in and out. Tap fittings were corroding with enamel peeling off. There was a micro wave but no utensils for any food heating, it was not a setup for Adults only and should be called a family unit NOT a villa, and Tariffs should be adjusted. Far too expensive for what was offered.
