- John (8/5): Very Good Hotel. Well located. Spacious comfy rooms. Reasonable price. Near all attractions. - Very Good Hotel. I booked a single room for 4 days. The Owner upgraded me for free to a better room with ensuite. The hotel is in centre of City. 10 mins walk from Train Station and most tourist attractions. Bed was very comfy. Ensuite was spotless. Room was good standard and was spacious. There is a restaurant with wide menu choice. Breakfast is well presented with cold meats, cheese, fruits, croissants, freshly baked breads, cereals and tea or coffee. The owner was very nice and gave me a tourist pass for free entry to museums etc and free travel locally which I gladly used. At 18 swiss francs I felt the breakfast was expensive. I am not into cold meats, fruits and cheese first thing in the morning so a cereal and/or bread with a cup of tea at this price is a lot. A hot breakfast would have been a great option. I had something to eat with a friend on arrival, at the restaurant and found the service slow. The lady serving never smiled and if anything looked stressed. It was off-putting. I seem to recall similar reviews of her. The owner was very nice.

- Grey (7/5): Good over night stay. - We had a comfortable and well-appointed and adequate-sized room. With a glass-panelled shower area in the bedroom! The toilet and hand basin were clean, if small. No coffee and tea-making facilities in the room. The choice of meats at the breakfast was limited to just pork slices, but the bread was very nice. Limited car parking, with the owner concerned about getting three cars into a space adequate for just for two.

The manager/owner who checked me in charged me more than 150 CHF, before I knew what happened. I would not have taken this room for 150 CHF. He told me the room doesn't rent for anything less, but there was nothing special about this room. It was on the 4th floor with no elevator. He was also quite rude. He took advantage of me, and you are my only recourse for adjusting this treatment.

There was a bar right below my room, and people were shouting long after midnight. I'd not recommend this hotel for people who look for a good night sleep.
