• Nicola (10/5): Great location - Nothing not to like. Close to beach and malecon. Room was super clean with working AC. The shower was really powerful. Breakfast was simple but filling. They also allowed us to store luggage free of charge. There is not a communal kitchen which can be problematic for some. We had planned to dine out all the time so it was not an issue for us.

• Gisella (10/5): Amazing!!! - The place was spotless, spacious, and in a fantastic location. The staff were so nice, polite, and friendly—they even felt like family! They went the extra mile. During my stay in San Cristobal, which was rainy, one of the sons lent me an umbrella so I could explore the town. Plus, the father had my breakfast ready 10 minutes early, so I could enjoy it before my long day of tours. No negative comments on this property
• Kimberley (10/5): Lovely comfortable stay - This is a really nice quiet hotel. Reception trying hard to use English to make you feel comfortable. Super fast starlink WiFi so no problem for remote back to back meetings. Lovely breakfast of eggs, bread, fruit and coffee, jams and butter. Check out is 10am which for me was a bit too early as I had to switch to another hotel and most check in are 3pm. I think 11-12.00 midday is a more reasonable asking time.

• Chris (8/5): Super stay in San Cristobal - Great last minute find before departing for San Cristobal. Walking distance from airport , pier, anything that is around of interest. Great WiFi and a lovely breakfast and Jessica on reception was super helpful with anything you needed re tours, boats, trips, all can be booked from the hotel with a smile :-)

• Francisco (8/5): Fine - 12-minute walk from airport to hotel. Breakfast was fine here, and they were able to accommodate a slightly earlier meal time. Water refill stations. Staff was responsive to messages. Decent location. We might have had the best room in the house. It was the upper level front corner room with a balcony and a somewhat distant ocean view. Unfortunately, the windows were very thin, and so much noise filtered in from the street. After the first night, we checked to see if there was a quieter room available, and we moved to an interior room. This room was much more crowded with three beds shoved in, but it was quieter. There were ants crawling on the food sometimes at breakfast, so you had to keep an eye out.

• Jet (9/5): Superb - We found this Hostal because its one of the few without!! a electric or suicide shower. The shower turned out to be great, good pressure and hot water, perfect to wash the sand off after swimming with the sea lions! Very nice friendly people running the Hostal, good breakfast, although it was eggs and bread and fruit, everyday they made it slightly different and it was really tasty. Perfect location for everything in san christobal, you can easily walk (even to the aeropuerto!) The rooms are a bit basic but it has all you need!

• Doug (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was very good. Everyone was helpful and they had tours from the hostel. We had a balcony and enjoyed it in the evening. Very close to everything along the front street coffee, food, ice cream and happy hours. I think a clock in the room would be helpful.

Nice central location. Has air-conditioning. We sat for the breakfast for 15 min wating to be acknowledged. Very basic for over 60 dollars room. 3 beds in double room.

• Kelly-ann (8/5): Very good - Room is spacious light and clean. Good aircon and TV. Breakfast was nice. Hotel is only set 1 road behind the main strip so it’s quieter but still super convenient. I was charged $17 usd for using my card without it being explained to me first. And the wifi doesn’t work in the room- there is one armchair in the hallway which other people are also having to sit at to use the wifi.

• Nicholas (9/5): Superb - In a great location seconds from the front. Room a good size, cleaned well every day and a decent breakfast included. You can also rent snorkels for the day and organise tours (I did not do the later). The hot water in the shower is unreliable. It was never freezing though.

My gripes are that the WiFi didn’t work (and is likely running on hardware that hasn’t been updated in 8yrs) - just stop advertising it as an amenity if it doesn’t work reliably rather than making me spend time experimenting. And the bathroom in room 11 had a smell that came up from the shower drain. It wasn’t horrible, but it was definitely noticeable - largely suppressible for several hours by taking a long shower with plenty of soap.

Mosquitos invades inside the bedroom. Unstable WiFi internet connection. No further complaints. Why does Booking.com request reviewers to complain more?

• Edward (6/5): There's better options in the area - The location was close to the main road, a 2 minute walk. They only take cash, Sometimes the ATMs are out of cash. There is no Coffee or hot water on the premise, the include breakfast is in a restaurant down the street. Not very convenient if you're not in the mood to fo out side or it's raining.

Didn't get tge room I booked but got a box room that was more like a single not double . No bedside cabinet no lamp . No nothing . A view of the wall . NO INTERNET . Could do with a good paint . The napkins and everything had the logo . Should spend money on making the guests more comfortable. Not logo . Breakfast was nice . No Internet. No comfort of any sort in the room . More like a run down hostel

• Alviera (10/5): Very Good Place! Affordable Price! - It was great being close to everything. Great shower! Gracious hosts. Nice sitting room on second floor. The stairs up to 3rd floor were not a problem for us but might be a problem for people who needed elevator.
• Cheryl (10/5): Very convenient, very helpful. - The hostel is very convenient, I had a sea view from my room down the road, the staff were very helpful, even bringing an extension lead so I could move the desk lamp to be beside the bed. I do think they could help the plastic pollution problem by not issuing so many soaps in plastic wrappers. Nice large room whether for a single, or two travellers.
