- Claude (10/5): Un accueil chaleureux … - Le critère qui m’importe plus que tout autre, c’est la qualité de l’accueil. Sur ce point, les propriétaires du château de Didonne nous ont reçu avec une chaleur et une attention particulière qui nous a donné l’impression d’être attendus. Partout, la décoration est subtilement pensée. Elle marie une élégance classique des vieilles pierres et des boiseries avec une touche contemporaine du mobilier qui contribuent à créer une ambiance aussi harmonieuse que raffinée. Le confort est bien entendu omniprésent, tant dans les espaces communs que dans les chambres spacieuses et confortables. Et que dire du parc planté d’arbres multicentenaires qui invitent à la promenade et ou à la lecture comme nous l’avons fait. Nous avons d’ailleurs savouré un copieux petit-déjeuner face à ce décor champêtre.

Location was great - 10 mins from the beaches. Our family room was perfect - 2 rooms, a huge king and a twin bed. I wish every hotel had family rooms like this. Children don't want to share a sofa bed! we really do want to come back. If I had to pick one thing, I do love a coffee machine or kettle in the room. But perhaps its a Covid thing. And incidentally, Covid protocol was v good too.

Idéalement placé à 10 mns d'à peu près tout, l'établissement présente toutes les caractéristiques du vrai luxe, avec un service discret et irréprochable, des espaces intérieurs et extérieurs de toute beauté, une restauration inventive sur des ingrédients de haute qualité. On en oublie l'absence de climatisation ou de piscine. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

It's a stunning newly refurbished hotel that has just opened. It's run by a lovely couple why have spent the last 8 years restoring this wonderful building. They've done a brilliant job. It's both modern and old. They have clearly spent a lot of money on 1st class fittings throughout. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and beautifully decorated. We felt spoilt. Breakfast was very yummy inc some home made mini muffins. Would thoroughly recommend without any reservations - you genuinely won't be disappointed. We will be back. We wish the owners well in their new venture.
