- Phil (9/5): Very nice staff. Comfortable room. Accepted dog - Quiet clean
- Sílvia (8/5): Cozy and comforting - I liked how simple the room was. No frills, just comfort. I liked watching cable tv from bed! It really took me back to when I lived with my parents. This is a personal preference, I would have liked the comforter to be a little heavier. I also would have appreciated outlets closer to the nightstand.
- Pride (8/5): -
- Wendy (8/5): A charming, dated property that is great for pet owners, cute and quaint location in Sultan - Private, dog friendly, quiet. Dated but clean and comfortable The air conditioning was hit or miss
- Robert (10/5): -
- Vicki (8/5): Good local hotel to stay at. It was close to were we prepared to move. - The night manager was very friendly. We had a dog with us the room was easy to take her out.
- Michael (8/5): - Clean room, friendly staff
- Sandra (10/5): - The baskets and pots of colorful flowers outside was a nice touch. This was a spur of the moment stay for us during our travels and like staying at non-chain locations to support local communities. The one thing I would say, although the room was visibly clean, it smelled of animal urine.
- Linda (10/5): Great - Private and quiet lots of parking and close to eateries
- Susanne (10/5): -
- Amalia (10/5): - Very nice staff
- Gayle (7/5): Convenient Location Clean Room - Easy check in was nice. Very friendly woman checked us in. Stairs were very difficult. I'd suggest downstairs if you don't want to carry suitcases up an uneven old stair case.
- Mitzi (10/5): Sultan - Very quiet, and clean
- Rob (8/5): - While the Dutch Cup Motel is an older facility, it has been well-maintained and updated. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Rooms have refrigerators and microwaves and even a great book about local hikes in the Cascades. The town of Sultan is built along freight railroad tracks, so freight trains pass through about twice a night, but it's not jarring.
- Robert (10/5): Nice, clean place to stay - The room was very clean and the mattresses were comfortable. The staff (and or owners) were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, a very nice place.
- guadalupe (10/5): - Beds were so comfortable
- Dog Club (10/5): - While and older building the room was shiny and clean. Room smelled fresh and clean. Staff made me feel very welcome. Noisy toilet paper dispenser. Made a speech when you pulled the paper down.
- Alan (10/5): - Just what I needed
- mark (8/5): - The room was one of the best motels I have stayed in. The only downside is a train that came by a couple of times in the early morning, which woke me a couple of times when it blasted its horn as it went by.
- Candace (10/5): - It was clean and exactly what we needed
- Corei (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean property. Rooms could use an update including new carpet , shower heads and mattresses.
- Theresa (8/5): - It’s a mom and pop place. Dates but clean
- Rayne (10/5): - Super easy check in no waiting, comfortable bed for sleeping. Would stay again.
Coffee creamers went bad so I didn’t have coffee, I’m sure their of fixed that for me but it wasn’t a big deal. Everything else was perfection!
- Corei (8/5): - Great staff, very clean. Could use an update and new beds
- Melvin (6/5): - Nothing fancy just an average older style motel. Small town so limited dining options.
- Richard (10/5): - Renovations/ replacement of bath fixtures was evident and nicely done. The bath towels were nice and thick (not like the thin, scratchy scotchbrite towels of Comfort Inn). The carpet was old and would benefit the ambiance and comfort of the room if it were replaced.
- Lauren (8/5): - Quiet, comfortable
- David (8/5): -
- Emerald (6/5): - The room smelled very bad upon arrival. It was the next day I discovered why. The old air conditioning unit had lichen growing in it. Visible fungus growing all over. Lichen is the fungus looking stuff you see growing on rocks and trees near damp areas… supposed to be outside. We left the AC off the remainder of our stay and the smell improved dramatically. BUT it was a bit warm … so I don’t know if it was a win. Other than that and the loud train nearby honking at all hours of the night, it was a normal hotel stay.
- Alin (2/5): Very poor - It was convenient for us as it was on our itinerary. The place needs an update. The dated carpets have a smell that hits you right from the entry. Some people won't be able to sleep in given the smell. Also, it's overpriced. We found way better accommodations on our itinerary for the same or lower price.
- Julie (10/5): - What a gem! Loved this retro feeling motel that still uses real keys and little cards to fill your registration. Super clean and comfy beds. HBO! A very pleasant experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): 1st stay at Dutch Cup, older motel in a very safe - very clean
- Kimberly (8/5): - We love staying at the Dutch Cup! It's clearly an older property, but it's well cared for, the bed is comfortable and the staff is great!
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- james (10/5): - Plenty of room for a truck snd cat trailer
- Steven (8/5): - I’ve stayed here many times. The staff is always very friendly. Clean large rooms. Only one issue on this stay… the bed was harder/firmer that I’ve had before. Otherwise, nice place.
- Gretchen (8/5): - Exceptionally nice front desk staff! Check in and out went very quickly and easily.
Basic hotel with larger than expected room and bathroom. Clean, had a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. Bed was comfortable, very good pillows, and nice towels. Quiet the first night (a Friday) but on Saturday night there was very loud music across the street at a bar. Not the motel's issue but be aware that might be going on. If you're not looking for a lot of extras, at a good price, this is a great choice.
- Nancie (8/5): Very good -
- Annette T. (10/5): - Nice quaint motel style room in tiny community. Great bakery…don’t miss it! Room comfy beds, clean crisp linens and towels, coffee/tea in room. Fridge and micro with plates and napkins. Not many places for a night out meal, but I wasn’t there for that. This place fit my needs while Monroe was booked out for a weekend event. Staff/housecleaning very pleasant.
- Ava (7/5): Good - Close to my destination Noise from the highway and parking lot
- Donna M (10/5): - Comfortable bed and less than a mile from our friends place. New carpet would be a nice upgrade.
- Nancie (8/5): Very good - This is my go to place when I want something clean, quiet and a spectacular view...Dutch Cup Motel is it.
Everything you need is in the room, the ladies in the office are great and I look forward to my next visit.
- Jordan (6/5): - Over priced for what you get but nothing wrong with the place
- Gregory (8/5): Worth the stay - We came to Sultan to meet with friends who live in Sultan. We were greeted with a welcome smile and found the room well maintained and comfortable. We asked if there were any restaurants nearby that they could welcome for breakfast the next morning. They recommended "The Bakery" which is in walking distance. We tried it out and found that they serve large portions of food. And it was excellent!.
Overall, the motel was worth it for us to stay there.
- Nora (10/5): - Great service at the front desk. Clean room.
- David (10/5): -
Precisely what one would want ,Lots of hot water, Friendly staff and comfortable beds.
- Jane (10/5): - Our room was clean, though the carpet is a bit flat in places. This was fact, but in no way diminished the comfort or cleanliness of the room. The shower was hot and worked well. The refrigerator/freezer were a nice size for a compact. There're a few great places to eat in very close distance. I would definitely stay here again.
- Lisa (10/5): Great staff - The staff were super friendly and the motel was very clean. The only complain we had was the bed was so hard and uncomfortable. We had a hard time sleeping.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Wish i could give 0 stars - Room 26. Door was broken. Door knives was broken. Dead bolt was broken. Boogers on handle in shower. Mold on caulking in shower. Heater so loud we couldn't sori. Then every 20-30 mins trains would go through town blaring horns all night long. Didn't get 30 mns of sleep. Left at 7am after the worst night ever.
- Ahmad (10/5): - Good
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (6/5): - Average motel in average shape.
We stayed in room 23 and it was fine.
Clean with a nice shower.
The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. I would stay in this room again.
Note - others in our party did not enjoy their room towards the far end of the building. It was a pet friendly room and it (had a very ‘unique’ odours) showed.
- Sturlaugson (3/5): Poor - The hotel is on a busy street and it is really loud there at night.
- Brandon (8/5): - Nice place to stay for the night. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would give it a higher star count but the traffic noise was a little loud. Should be expected if you are staying on a busy highway. Would recommend and will stay again.
- Rob (8/5): Very good -
- William (10/5): - Thanks for a great stay!
- Vickie (9/5): Superb - Close to relatives
- Steven (8/5): - Initially room had a urine smell, but that may have come in from outside as I had the room door open for a bit. Smell went away quickly. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean!
- Sheldon (10/5): - Very clean
- Angela (4/5): - Unfortunately there was little redeeming quality to our stay.
Cons-We were not greeted in a friendly manner upon arrival, the person checking us in barely spoke at all, and looked a bit put out. We found our room to be very damp smelling upon arrival with lots of white stains on the carpet. There were visible blood stains on the box spring protector on one of the beds (no small amount- I own a B&B, try baking soda & peroxide, to remove!) and we found a dead bedbug? belly up on the dresser as we were grabbing our things to check out. I left that for the cleaner to see. (we didn't get bites at all, so could've been something else but with the blood on the side of the bed who knows).
It's also super noisy from the train and busy road.
Pros- they provide earplugs (just 1 set), fridge/microwave in room and it's pet friendly with an area to walk the dog right there. The actual bedding was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The person in the lobby at checkout was actually friendly.
A different room may have had no issues, but based on our experience I won't be giving it another try.
- Katelyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jean (8/5): Short stay overnight to head to Leavenworth WA the next day. Great value and location. - There was no breakfast as advertised. They had a Keurig machine in the room and offer K-cups. Bed was not comfortable., but for the price everything else was great
- Christina (4/5): - I made a reservation and drove very far and was denied a room when I desperately needed for kindness to be in my life. I have a letter stating that my animal is part of a new program from the A.D.A. I needed to be able to get into my things to find that letter and it was 90° outside. I had it with me. I cried in the parking lot while desperately searching for the nearest option even though I could not afford the difference in cost.
- Connor (6/5): - Check in easy enough. Spiders and cobwebs throughout the shower, one pillow on the bed that had hard, older sheets on it. Can see daylight through the door to the room, thin walls so you can listen to your neighbors conversation, and no blackout curtains on the windows.
- Sylvia (10/5): - Reception we got from Irene was excellent.
- Sockman (8/5): Very good -
- Deborah (8/5): - The room could use new carpet but the bed was very comfortable.
- Penny (5/5): Passable -
- Chak (8/5): We enjoyed out stay. - Our room was clean. We were pleased by the quality of the amenities in the room. There was a Keurig coffee maker and there was ample outlets for charging my devices. Fixtures in the room appeared to be of good quality and did not look cheaply made. The wifi was fast. The towels were thick and almost luxurious. The turn table in the microwave did not work.
- Valerie (8/5): - The Staff was very friendly and gave suggestions for dinning
- Chanellel l (8/5): - Great nitel
- Nancie (8/5): Very good - Mountain views!!! Older motel, but very clean and comfortable. The ladies at the front are wonderful. N/A
- Daniel (10/5): - Clean hotel, eat at Bubba's across the street.
- Bonnie J (10/5): - It was very clean, comfortable and big. It had a great fridge/freezer and microwave and hot chocolate for the coffee machine! It was a great value for the price. The staff was really friendly.
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): My review - Quaint little motel, in a small mountain town. It reminded of a real life Southpark.
- Heather (8/5): Very good -
- James (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Tammy (8/5): - Affordable, as Affordable goes these days, comfortable bed, clean, good coffee, friendly staff. There are great hiking trail in this area.
- Tara (9/5): Superb - For the price, everything was great. It was clean and well stocked. The floors and walls are little thin, so you hear a lot from other rooms.
- Thomas (7/5): Good -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Yvonne (10/5): - .
- Martha (10/5): Exceptional -
- chris (10/5): - Overall happy. Would stay again but a very busy area so lots of outside noise. Not the fault of the hotel.
- Dennis (10/5): Decent - Decent for an older motel. Recently remodeled and clean. Good stay with the dog.
- Susan (8/5): - Only negative was the bedding seemed to have a musty smokey smell. I always take my own; otherwise very clean.
- Stuart (8/5): Excellent motel in a great location. - Clean. Spacious. Well located. Loved the sound of the trains. Nothing.
- Mcgahuey (7/5): Good -
- Michelle (10/5): - We absolutely love it here. This was our 2nd time staying here. The rooms are always clean and the staff friendly. It’s quiet, minus the trains rolling through. It didn’t bother us though. We will definitely be back.
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Ethan (7/5): Good - Straightforward motel. Clean and comfortable rooms. It's a nitpick, but there was a lack of ways to charge devices near the bed. The only outlet was unreachable behind the bed.
- Gloria (6/5): - The electricity was out in the morning when we woke up so we couldn't get ready before we left no clocks no hair dryer no lights not to mention the TV everything's like to say couldn't even call the front desk
- Aguilar (10/5): Exceptional -
