- Kathryn (8/5): But it was clean and adequate in comfort and we loved the location - It was not a very pretty hotel and had a very unimpressive lobby for a downtown hotel. But it was clean. We had to pay for valet parking which we had not been aware of.
- judy (10/5): - It was close to what we needed
- Raveewan (10/5): -
- Caitlin (10/5): -
- YARIELIS (10/5): - Todo esta super limpio
- FRANZ (8/5): - Location was great! The room was amazing! Valet took forever, we requested our vehicle before even coming down from the room and still waited 30 minutes to get our car.

- Olivia (8/5): - Great stay for the convention we were going to at the Salt Palace, so the walk was amazing and quick! Room was great and staff was friendly, only downside was just the parking situation. Definitely do NOT leave any valuable items or things in cars since there is a third party lot they use for overflow which unfortunately is known for break ins. Luckily, our vehicle was safe but when we left we did see a car that got vandalized. Just be weary, other than that it was a wonderful stay!
- Kurt (8/5): - I wish they had a pool. They didn't have as many breakfast options that other places
- Katelyn (10/5): - Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast and coffee was mediocre.
- Clorice (10/5): - It was fine
- Kathleen (10/5): - The staff were prompt & helpful; room was clean and spacious. Location was conveniently right across from the convention center yet still quiet. Highly recommend.
- mary (6/5): Bad service. - The hotel and room were nice, location was great and breakfast was good for the typical buffet. But during our 3 day stay our room was never serviced even once, in spite of multiple calls to the front desk. When re asked for clean towels they were left in a plastic bag outside our door, so we didn’t even knowthey were there the next morning. Won’t stay there again.
- denis (9/5): Très bon qualité prix en plein centre ville - Très propre Très confortable Le petit déjeuner est très moyen
- Mirelle (9/5): -
- Edina (8/5): - Great location with great food options, close to freeway, hiking, it’s in a safe area and staff was super friendly and accommodating .
- Helen (8/5): - The parking is not convenient. Hard to get in and out and very limited parking
- Qing (9/5): very good stay except for the noise - convenient with breakfast included too close to the night club, noisy at night.
- Lukasz (7/5): Good location - Good location, large room Room was a bit old, air conditioner would not turn off, noise from nearby clubs.
- Cynthia (10/5): - Close to the Salt Palace Parking
- Cleonir (9/5): - Hotel muito confortável, ótimo para família, Café da manhã poderia ser um pouco melhor
- FEDERICO (4/5): - The hotel itself is fine, but the low rating is due the staff, who were rude and arrogant. If you choose to stay here, I strongly recommend booking directly with the hotel. As Expedia customers, we were made to feel unwelcome. The staff repeatedly told us that we were not their customers and that they don't business with us, insisting that any issue should be taken up with Expedia.
They event went as far as saying that if they wanted to, they could kick us out of the hotel, and that they had nothing to discuss with us. again, emphasizing that we were Expedia's clients, not theirs. Expedia, on other hand, resolved our issue immediately and provided excellent service.
Expedia should reconsider who they partner with, as this hotel completely washes its hands of any responsibility when it comes to customer service.
- Matei (10/5): Great value for money. - Nice breakfast, helpful staff, great location. Outside garbage collection loud in the night
- Shi (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Bogart (5/5): Room was Decent, but Parking was not - The room itself was nice and very clean. We stayed 2 nights and on the second night the AC in the room went out. The Desk staff was really nice about it and switched our room. My car got broken into! Parking was not great at all. Upon booking the hotel there wasn't anything mentioned on the parking, so I thought they had a lot, but there is no actual parking lot. You must park in a parking garage next door. The hotel gives a parking pass, however the garage is very sketchy and on the weekends gets very packed. We arrived on a Saturday night and by Sunday morning my window was smashed, my car was broken into and ransacked. The hotel will not bear any responsibility because they "rent" a few of the spaces, and the garage has signs that say they are not responsible for damage or theft of vehicles. The only cameras they have in the garage are ones at each entrance to each floor.
- Gregory Koffi (4/5): - I contacted the hotel regarding my wish to cancel due to health issues, and I never got a response.
The lack of consideration for the client is completely unprofessional.
- Patrice (9/5): Great return experience - This is our second stay here for a yearly festival we attend. The hotel facilities work really well for us and are pristinely clean. The location is great-close to transit and food and the breakfast is quite decent with some variety of hot food each morning. The kitchen in the rooms is really handy and our room was very quiet.
- Bennett (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (6/5): - The property was descent. Did
- Verified traveler (8/5): Kitchen is great, but too noisy! - Kitchen is a nice plus, but could hear the people upstairs constantly walking around late at night. and making a lot of noise. I informed the front desk, who said they’d call the room that there’s been a noise complaint. Honestly, probably won’t stay again for that reason.
- amacdonald9 (8/5): Good breakfast! - Very clean room. The size was typical of a city hotel, perhaps a little larger. Parking was right behind the hotel.
The breakfast was great. The people who were overseeing the food were very attentive. Everything was filled and they were right there if you needed something.
- Sabino (10/5): - Staff
- Tara (8/5): Overall it was really good. I'm just disturbed about the noise from the bars. - The Location was perfect. I also really appreciate the use of a blender because then I could make my own smoothie in the mornings. The noise from the bars below our room was really unbearable. I didn't know I needed to ask for a quiet room.
- Clorice (10/5): - Very friendly
- Amber (7/5): Good -
- Jim (10/5): Great location for Downtown Salt Lake City - We were in town for RootsTech (genealogy conference). This hotel is right across the street from the back entrance to the Salt Palace. Tons of restaurants around. Our room was great (2 queens) - very clean and beds were super confortable.
Breakfast was much better than I expected - alway hot entrees along with cereals, waffles, good coffee etc
- Marina (5/5): Not sure if the convenience is worth the disturbed sleep - Distance to Salt Palace for the RootsTech conference. Size of the room for my adult daughters and myself. Kitchenette so we were able to save anxiety, time and money by preparing our own lunches and dinners. The VERY VERY noisy establishment next door and outside our window. We were not told about the venue which, apparently, hosts events from comedy to music. During the weeknights they ended around 11ish. We heard and felt the bass but figured we could manage. Tonight is Saturday night, it is almost midnight and we’ve got people yelling at each other, talking loudly, cars and motorcycles revving their engines, bass beating, music blaring and lights flashing.
We have a long day of travel with some of us flying and some of us driving about 10 or so hours. This is not a very restful night in preparation of the trip. It is also causing a negative end to what was a very special family mini-reunion. So disappointed.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good -
- Eduard (10/5): - Overall it is mid class hotel.
- Muntis (8/5): - Nice hotel, just situated next to nightclub and UNC UNC till 1am ...
- stephenaX7968EG (2/5): The Motel 6 of the Marriott Line in SLC - Even though the hotel is relatively new, the rooms are already worn and extremely small. Check in took a long time and if you have a car, be prepared for a very complicated parking system with lots of stairs and a significant walk back to the hotel. The rooms have very small TVs and the bathroom sink is too small to fit toiletries. Rooms are noisy and curtains to a poor job of blocking out light. I expected more from a Marriott property.
- Seth (10/5): - Very convenient to visit Eccles theater
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel has a great location for any event at the convention center. Bed was a little hard but not bad. I hate the ultra low flow shower head. Between that and the open shower it made showering uncomfortable.
- Sarah (6/5): - I was unlucky that there was a conference on across the street so there were many guests with young uncontrolled children. This meant periods of noise both on my floor and during breakfast.
The hotel itself is very nice. The 2 staff I met were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend the hote.
- Nancy (9/5): Superb -
- Mcneal (5/5): Passable -
- Allison (10/5): - Everyone was great, and the breakfast was very good. Really appreciated the early check-in!
- Cynthia (9/5): Superb -
- Allen (10/5): - Great location.
- Edgar (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location if you have an event at the Salt Palace Convention Center. It's right across the street, and there is a crosswalk right in front of the hotel.
- Cynthia (10/5): - Great location. Friendly Staff. Good breakfast. Nice and clean.
- Dave (10/5): - Just a quick stay, but the facilities were clean. We didn't use any of the room appliances, but the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - It was close to Delta Center. Bed was comfortable and pillows. My family was in room 510 and it had a lot of outside noise. Too noisy.
- Daniel (9/5): Very pleasant property ti stay at, would stay again. - Free breakfast was a nice plus Mark up of "lobby market" seemed a little high
- Jonathan (10/5): - It was great and close to my convention and restaurants
- Amanda (7/5): Perfect for what we needed - Location of the property was perfect for our event. The room was nice and clean. Elevator wasn’t working properly, the breakfast was ok, they just had a hard time keeping it full. The parking garage not connected was kind of a pain.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Great location. Walkable distance from City Creek Center, Temple Square and Salt Palace Convention Center. Also located next to a super dank souvenir store.
Complimentary breakfast is a plus too.
- Rahul (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely Place to Stay - It was lovely! I really enjoyed the big spacious room. It was clean and I enjoyed my stay immensely! Thank you!
- Remy (8/5): Very good -
- Charles (10/5): - Great location, clean, organized and convenient. Great breakfast!
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Jody R. (10/5): - We love staying at the TownePlace! It is very convenient for access to the convention center and many great places to eat. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable!
- Sharmaine (8/5): I highly recommend TownePlace Suites by Marriott for its safe and relaxing atmosphere. - I recently had the pleasure of staying at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe. The hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The amenities were top-notch. My favorite feature was the kitchenette, which provided a convenient way to prepare meals and enjoy snacks at my leisure. This added touch made my stay feel stress-free, as I could easily cook for myself instead of relying on takeout.
The staff were incredibly attentive, always ready to assist with any request or answer questions, which made my stay even more enjoyable.
The location is another highlight; it’s centrally located, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and dining options.
Overall, I highly recommend TownePlace Suites by Marriott. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning for future visits! One of the staff, blonde hair. The lounge is a little bit tacky. For the value that I paid, personally, there is no wow factor when you come in.
- Alex (7/5): Good -
- Amarin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hilary (8/5): Great hotel, good location, friendly staff, clean and good facilities. - Great room only two blocks away from the FREE tram and bus lines.
Easy to get the tram to the airport from here Could be noisy at night (vehicle noise and people shouting)
More recycling could occur (breakfast - plastic utensils and paper plates, but they all go into the main trash can.
Although there were notices saying that towels would only be washed if they were on the floor, all the towels and toiletries were renewed during our stay. Even though they were not requested, or required. That was a waste of resources (human and water).
- Ursula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malcolm (10/5): - Quiet, downtown convenience, great breakfast, professional staff
- Linda (10/5): Nice location and comfortable place to stay - Convenience to my location I was attending plus dining options N/A
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Great location.
- L0VES_0F_TRAVEL (4/5): Convenient for clubbing, not so much for sleeping - This place gets a 3 stars during the week and 1 star on the weekend due to the load noise coming from the club next door until the early hours of the morning. Parking is sketchy and is overall feels very unsafe. Some of this may be typical in a downtown environment, but I think think there are better options in the vacinity.
- Fangfang (9/5): Superb -
- Ronda (10/5): The stay was truly amazing and I will definitely tell my friends and colleagues for future travels. - The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and well prepared. I can't think of anything, our stay was amazing!
- Dominique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dixie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Enjoyed our stay in SLC at this clean, centrally located hotel with a home like feel. - Clean, bright room, centrally located. Nice materials used throughout. Better than average breakfast. Large room with windows you could open. Friendly helpful staff. Never stayed at a TownePlace Suites before but will definitely look for them when traveling next.
- Mingchen (9/5): Superb -
- arturo (8/5): - .
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monica (8/5): Great place but choose room location wisely. - The staff and hotel were wonderful. We were in a room next to a nightclub. The band played very loudly until 2 am. You need to choose a room in the back on the east side, away from the street.
- Lucie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jami (8/5): - Staff was very accommodating. Room was spacious and clean. A little disappointed that there is no continental breakfast. But there is a restaurant close by so that’s OK.
- Brian (6/5): - Hotel itself was fine, but be aware the is a very rowdy night club right next to it, pretty sure half the girls standing outside were prostitutes. Parking is really sketchy. Just know what you are getting into.
- Kelly (2/5): Room reserved was not available - I made the reservation on hotels.com for a room with 2 queens and when I arrived they told me they only had rooms with King beds and refused to cancel the reservation. I was forced to find another hotel and pay an additional Uber to get to the next hotel. Took me days and many calls to get the refund issued.
- jian (10/5): - very convenient to convention center, just cross the street. clean, with kitchen
- Meisu (10/5): - Nice s Service!
- Ramune (8/5): Very good -
- Alba (9/5): Superb -
