- MK (4/5): - Bait and switch. I booked the Dover suites. the morning of checkin, I got a call from the property management company saying the room wasn't available and they are moving me. I booked that specific spot because it was close to my meetings, but I didn't have a choice to accept as I was checking in that day. The new place was not as nice as the pictures of Dover. Also it was 1-2 kms away from where I needed to be so I have to pay for taxis every day. There was also a mouse trap at the entrance of the property and I heard them in the walls in the mornings. I can't review the specific property in the listing, but just sharing my experience.
- Chantel (2/5): Effortless Stay was ANYTHING BUT - The bldg was gorgeous and the apt even better. There were, however, major problems from the moment I entered the apt that no one ever helped me with. The dishwasher was broken, the tv in the bedroom did not work. The WIFI password/WIFI did not work. The entire place was glass, on a busy street, no walls, no curtains, all windows, no privacy. When I called mgmt to get assistance, I was told someone would contact me back. 2 days passed. Then, they offered to move me at noon time while I was at work. I declined because of the inconvenience of missing work. I bought my own temp shades and expect to be reimbursed. Then, there were over 75 fruit flies in the apt that I was told was "normal" for Toronto. On my 4th day, they confirmed my findings but said there was little they could do. Terrible experience. Would not recommend this place or this company to anyone.
