- bigthicket (8/5): 4th floor for IHG reward members with quiet hours from 10-8. - Very friendly and efficient staff upon check in. Room had nice decor, comfortable bed and pillows, lots of hooks and a shower ( no tub) that had great water pressure. The room itself was clean but along the shower ledge there was dust and hair and in the shower we had 2 conditioners and no shampoo. I did leave a note for housekeeping. Since we were only there for less than a day I did not call front desk. Everything else was good. They had a nice breakfast area and great sausage ( cooked crisp) and good coffee.

When asked the front desk about it in the morning, they said they already sent their handy man home for the day and we were given a plunger to try to fix ourselves. They charged both my husband's credit card and my credit card more than $100 more than our stay cost... each. so our 2 days were supposed to be $360. And they charged both cards $490!!! We ended up leaving because the staff was super rude and she was the one who made the payment mistake. That then tied up almost $1000 of our money for the whole weekend we were in mccook. Money we have saved to spend...no apologies...no nothing. We left and went down the street to the quality inn and it was a fraction of the price and amazing staff and service.
- Dennis (8/5): Very good - New, nice room, big shower! Front desk person changed rooms, but forgot to rekey, so key didn’t work snd had to ho back to front dedk for rekey to get in room! Oops! Other than that, good place to stay, and will next time in McCook!

- laura (8/5): - I requested ADA room with Roland shower. Made my reservations well in Advanced upon arriving did not notice that the curtains did not go up and down. It was stuck half open. There was no remote in that evening after going out for dinner we realize we couldn’t shut the blinds, spoke with the downstairs and she said that she said if there was no remote, And that she didn’t have another remote and apologize. But then when I continue talking with her telling her we needed to do something because my window window was facing where the sunrise is I’ve been up for 36 hours and was quite tired and awoken by the sunlight during the conversation, she hung up on the phone while I was talking to her. I’m an amputee I put my leg back on. I was in my pajamas. It was 1230 at night. Walked downstairs while she argued with me when I told her all we needed to do was to correct the situation, I told her I don’t care if we put aluminum foil on the windows get some cardboard boxes put them on the windows just something that does not let light in. She was very rude. I never raise my voice. She was training another person that evening she went and called her manager on the phone came back and said she couldn’t get a hold of the general manager at that point and then apparently the assistant manager general manager called her back and they were on their way, but I’ve worked with the public for 30 years. There was no one at the desk when we arrived to check on. We waited at least 5 min. During the stay, if we had a question, there wasn’t anyone at the desk to speak to. When we checked out, no one was at the desk so we couldn’t get a receipt! The heater was very loud when it was running.

- rcscruffy2018 (6/5): Good first impression - Cleaner than most HIX properties. Looks nice when you first walk in. Fairly new hotel. Since I say over 100 nights a year in a hotel, I'm frustrated the price they charge for what you get. 1. Toilet that is smaller than the ones we had in first grade. They buy the cheapest toilets they can find. They don't flush well either. 2. Sliding shower door not installed level so it won't stay closed. 3. Shower rail not stainless, so it's rusting and isn't cleaned. 4. Glass shower doors are covered with lime stains, almost looks like frosted glass. 5. Shower faucet covered with lime stains. 6. Heater/AC very loud. But it works. On a positive note, they have two slow elevators instead of one and the public areas were clean. Room was cleaner than most, but that's because it's new.

- Teresa (4/5): - Room hot on a hot day smelled like a dog pound and I don’t mind a dog or two. Found what appears to be dog feece under the couch which would explain the odor!!! Room finally cooled to 74 at 3am. Took a shower at 11pm and towel was previously soiled with makeup! Never again!!! Worst hotel ever!!!
