But I liked the quietness of the area. We had breakfast on our last day and the food and coffee were delicious. The staff is friendly.

Andrew (9/5): A northern getaway - it's even better in Illocas Norte! - The setting of this hotel resort property in Ilocas Norte was stunning. Nice room. Authentic Spanish colonial doors and trim. The clean, well-maintained Infinity pool and Vista over the lake toward the former "northern Malacang" (which apparently has a museum dedicated to Marcos) were hard to beat. A rare find and a peaceful getaway! Good meals (dinner and breakfast). Management was very professional, and friendly in conversation. Rooms have great air-conditioning. Perhaps one feels that this property is still a work in progress. Beds were a little hard, perhaps. While location is less than 12 km from Laoag Airport, and I hear they offer van pick-up, the tricycle ride from the other direction (Paoay, and it's iconic ancient cathedral) is only possible by precarious private tricycle ride. It'd be nice if the property provided van service there, or even pick-up from that direction - upon request, of course.

ARCANGEL (6/5): - Roach, lizard and mosquito in room. You can hear noise outside loud due to big gap of the bottom of door and one time they changed the comforter and it was rough and itchy. Otherwise the employees are very nice, good food. The room could use upgrade .

They even upgraded our room. The managers went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and even asked us to provide them suggestions that would improve their dining menu and customer services.

Allan filled in as driver/tour guide of the country tour to Pagudpud, Kapurpurawwaan, Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, Bangui Windmills, etc. We had a blast with his vast, first-hand knowledge of Ilocos Norte! We both fell in love with the place at first sight!! It's quiet, private, homey yet elegant with a beautiful view of the Paoay lake. The hotel has a great ambiance and classy decors and interior design. We loved the modern bathroom, toilet with a bidet and the private porch in our room. The place was sparkling clean and all the staff were kind, accomodating and delivered personalized and quality service. We definitely felt right at home! This is absolutely one of our best experiences!! We look forward to coming back in the future! Would definitely recommend to family and friends!!
