• vittoria patrignani (7/5): - Camera molto spaziosa e pulita. Bagno molto grande. La colazione era buona e lo staff molto gentile. Piscina tenuta molto pulita. La camera anche se pulita era molto umida e puzzava leggermente di muffa. Abbiamo noleggiato con loro uno scooter a 100.000 al giorno ma ci hanno dato un motorino che era molto vecchio e pericoloso perché non girata e non frenava bene, nonostante la richiesta di cambiarlo con altri più nuovi che avevano li a disposizione non so perché ci continuavano a dare sempre quello.

• VDL (8/5): Cool few days - C'est la deuxième fois que je me rend dans cet hôtel, après un premier séjour satisfaisant. L'hôtel est bien situé, à quelques minutes de Crystal Bay et du port. Il convient largement à mes attentes pour quelques jours de vacances, et à un très bon prix. Les chambres méritent quelques rénovations, surtout au niveau de la salle de bain. En dehors de ça la proreté des chambres est satisfaisante.

Pool on the photos is not the actual pool but another pool (of the hotel nextdoor). There is indeed a pool but without beds or anything so that was disappointing.

• Kai (5/5): Passable - The double rooms are okay, the bed is more comfy than the dorm The dorm is an absolute catastrophy. The beds are so shaky that if the other person above or below you moves, you will be shaken awake. So imagine how many times you will wake up per night. Screw the beds to the wall its not that hard for gods sake. One bathroom for 6 people. Beds are loud and noisy. Wifi works really bad everywhere on the property. No phone reception or data. If you plan to work there, youre screwed. Staying there you need a scooter. Good 20min drive to restaurants etc. They sold us a mantaray trip for 500k. We did then the same tour 3 days later with a tour agency, and the normal price is 250k. Exactly the same trip. Ripp off!
• Abigail (7/5): Chill and quiet - Property was clean and value for money If you don’t know how to drive a scooter you can’t explore much as there’s nothing much around that area other than it’s close to the dive shop.

• Louis (8/5): Great Price-Perfomance Ratio - Bintang Hostel has a super good Price - Performance ratio. You get way more than you pay. They have a nice pool and the rooms are totally fine. Breakfeast Choices are simple but the food is good. The bathroom looks a little bit like prison with just one super small window that you cant open. Further its a little bit dirty.

• Marylin (7/5): Good room and pool, breakfast can be improved - Room is big as well the bathroom, pool is nice. If you need a cheap driver to take around the island by scooter, reach out to Yanis +62 853-3874-0952. I took me on a tour for 500 k the whole day. But it was low season. Breakfast is the bare minimum, you can choose from different options but it’s always very little (2 Fried eggs, tea , that is one options, no fruits or anything like that). Even though on an Island with a lot of fruits their serve you instand orange juice if you order a fresh orange juice. I asked before I ordered if it is really fresh and they confirmed .. they don’t speak English well, just bare minimum
• Annika (8/5): I would recommend to stay here if you are okay with some small friends ;) - The staff was very friendly and cleaned our room every day. You can rent scooters from them for a reasonable price and you share the pool with the Bungalows next door which is pretty nice. The pool is clean and surrounded by palm trees and beautiful nature and not crowded. It’s not the fault of the property but there are a lot of animals. On the wall outside there are small and big geckos which is okay because it’s outside. One time we had a small gecko in our room and the staff helped us to get it out so it was fine. One night we had a cockroach in our room and the staff was not there because it was late so we tried to catch it for half an hour, we were successful but it was pretty disgusting but yeah. Not their fault.

• Ariel (9/5): Great place for couples and backpackers - Great staff, good motorbikes service. We kept adding more nights because we loved the place and the hospitality !! Location was good, with nice French restaurant and local food walking distance away. The twin room was a bit rusty.

• Daria (10/5): Exceptional - That fact says it all: we stayed 9 nights and then, as a pleasant improvisation, we returned back to Nusa Penida and this exact hostel for 5 more days in the end of our holiday . That was how much we loved the place, the lovely staff and a perfect quiet location near beautiful beaches and the best snorkeling. You can reach everything you need/famous locations with a motorbike ride. The room was spacious and clean, the pool was perfect. The breakfasts were so tasty ! They clear up rooms every day, and all of our special request were met and served 100%. We were even helped to cook a tuna which we had caught ourselves. Besides, we drove a lot all around nusa penida and this hostel actually seemed to be in the best location as there were zero noises. Overall, we can’t recommend this place more and we will defo return! Anyone travelling to nusa penida - trust me you must stay here. Thank you bintang for making our first penida / Bali impressions the best ones ! -

To get around it would be best if you had a scooter which is you can hire at the property. We tried to walk to the local beach and it was 20/30 minutes with lots of hills.

• Nola (10/5): Lovely - The staff were great and very helpful, the pool was nice and deep and cold, the rooms were kept very clean. The scooters were really cheap to rent too! 50k for half day and 100k for full day It is quite far away from most things, only close to crystal bay but that’s only useful if you want to take the boat tour from there to go see the other beaches. Other wise it’s a 40mins drive to broken bay or kings cliff. There’s also no service near the hotel, so difficult when trying to use maps, make sure you download the google maps area of Lembongan before you arrive !

They have taxi service and also tours at cheaper prices than some agencies that we checked before. The breakfast wasn't really good, neither was the drinks. We had pizza for dinner at their restaurant and it was terrible. Also the bathroom has no windows so smells humid.

The rooms are good for the price and the location is good. I recommend. Can be a bit loud as the walls are thin, but didnt bother us at all.
• Philippa (10/5): Loved it so much we’ve been twice - Everything. We’ve been twice in less than 3 months! Our first stay was at the end of August when we met with our friends who are also backpacking. Our second was as a couple after we had decided to escape the rain in Vietnam. We love this hotel/hostel and everything about it! Fabulous staff, fab location, delicious food. It’s incredibly clean and quiet at night. Would recommend to ANYBODY. Regardless of whether you’re a couple looking for a quiet stay, a family or a solo backpacker. They will rent you a moped (with good brakes, tyres and helmets) for 100k a day. There’s a small shop up the road selling petrol for 20k a litre. The roads are quite difficult though so you should have experience with riding a moped before trying to tackle the roads of Nusa Penida. I’m confident we’ll be back! Absolutely nothing - it’s fab.

• Anna (8/5): Very good - The pool area is lovely, and super peaceful. The staff were really kind and caring and the restaurant is very affordable and delicious. Wifi is good. The bunk was comfy but the moment I had someone in my top bunk it was really uncomfortable. Every time the person climbed into their bunk or rolled over or moved even slightly it would shake the entire bunk and wake me up. Very annoying. A note on the area: Nusa penidas roads are notoriously bad so just be prepared if you are not good at riding a scooter. This place is a bit out from restaurants and most beaches

• Philippa (8/5): Clean, Comfortable and Peaceful! - Bintang Hostel and Homestay is a brilliant place to base yourself if you want to explore the island. We got a taxi from the harbour for 200k IDR and it is about 20 minutes away depending on traffic. It is quiet, clean and relaxing. The rooms are huge and you’re provided with water bottles (and you can refill these for free at the ‘reception’ area. Showers are lovely and hot, and the beds are incredibly comfy. We rented a moped for 100k a day and felt this was necessary to explore properly! Nothing, it was fab!

Staff was great ,super helpful with everything. Location was good for us, we could walk down to Crystal Bay . Breakfast not included.

Really friendly and welcoming staff - restaurant is good value & water dispenser available Private double room is very spacious and the bed is super soft & comfortable, we slept very well, quiet area Beautiful sunset through the palm trees on the nice patio/ balcony The pool is very refreshing at the end of a day exploring Penida, it's a decent size you can actually swim a good few lengths in Breakfast is a smaller offering than many places that charge less, but tasty none the less ...that we didn't book a couple of days longer! Breakfast could've included a small fruit plate for the price to make it more substantial The bathroom occasionally smelt of 'drain'
• Izabelle (10/5): Exceptional - You need a car/bike to get to the "city center" but it's 15/20 min away. The owners are very nice and can help you in everything you need. You can rent a bike in the hostel or ask for a taxi. They have good price.
• Michele (9/5): Great place within nature - Surrounded by the lush vegetation it is a great place to relax - especially on the pool :) The scooters they provide are in very good conditions and also the transport to and from the harbour worked perfectly. The sink in the dorm had a little leak
