- Jocelyn (10/5): Superbe séjour à deux pas de la cathédrale. - Chambres très spacieuses et très confortables.
Parking privé pour les clients de l'hôtel.
Personnel très accueillant. Rien.
- David (9/5): Super pub with smart rooms, great food and drink. - Very nice pub with smart well equipped rooms. It’s also worth noting that the room was absolutely spotless. The complimentary beers in the room were also appreciated. Great location just a couple of minutes walk to the town centre.
Comprehensive restaurant menu serving lovely food. Breakfast is also very nice with a good selection to choose from. The ales are also fab particularly as the Green King brewery is over the road.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. Nice relaxed pub with everything you need. As a point of note, park is available for guests but limited so get there early. Otherwise, there is plenty of parking in the town.

- Vikktorie (1/5): They only care about money - We booked this at short notice as we thought our dog would be admitted to the vet and we needed to be close by. This did not end up happening, and so within an hour of making the booking, I called to see if they would take a dog, which they said they would not, and so I informed them that we would need to cancel this booking. They told me i would have to do this through booking.com and did not say this would be a problem. When booking.com put in the request, they refused and kept our money. I then went back to ask if we could change the date so we didnt lose our money and they never replied. I appreciate they have to have certain policies in place to stop people taking the piss but we felt this was really unfair considering the circumstances. So we did not end up staying, it cost us £130 just to have this booking confirmed for one hour. We wont be booking again or recommending them to anyone.

The pub is most attractive with an excellent selection of beers, gins etc. Lovely atmosphere.
Car park at rear was very useful and within walking distance of Abbey and town centre.
Very good breakfast taken in the pub. Very friendly and welcoming staff. N/A
- Laura (8/5): Would definitely return - Clean and comfortable central to town Breakfast was cheap but not great quality ( avocados frozen)
- Louise (9/5): Excellent! Wasn’t rushed to check out exactly at 11am! - N/A Bathroom a bit small but adequate. Shower only very elongated, good for me but anyone more rotund may have found it difficult.
- Kathryn (8/5): Cosy and central to Bury St Edmunds. - Lovely room - with some history too. At the first breakfast the manager shared history and stories about the place, which were entertaining. Being on time with the breakfast - on the last morning barrels of beer were arriving, and the staff did not have adequate time to focus on breakfast.
- Ian (10/5): Excellent food , staff and room - Great atmosphere. Superb accommodation. Nothing
- Shaun (10/5): Beautiful town to visit and great hotel to stay in. - Food excellent location excellent. Bedroom was a little bit small but bathroom with large but overall very nice.

- emma (10/5): Great find - Staff couldn't have been more welcoming.
Room was spotless and in a perfect location for our concert in the cathedral and shopping trip.

- Wendy (8/5): Great location, clean, pretty room. - Location Nothing
- Chris (8/5): An overall good experience - The location was brilliant, being a short walk into town and just on the doorstep to the theatre.
The cleanliness was to a high standard - everything felt extremely clean in our room.
The breakfast was good! A vegetarian & a separate vegan option are available, both for adults and for children. The only thing dragging it down was the comfort - the pillows are extremely uncomfortable, to the point where I had a poor sleep both nights.
- Daniel (10/5): Brilliant - Everything Nothing
- William (9/5): -
- del (7/5): Ok but overpriced - location was good - Location is good for walking in to town
Good location for theatre and Greene King Brewery Think £150 for one night bed and breakfast is overpriced
Staff serving food were touching another customers dog and some staff had their hair down and quite happy to run their hands through it and serve food and drink
Breakfast was poor - continental not filled up when asked told would be 30mins
Surely you know how many rooms you have for breakfast and plan when stock gets low
- Katie (9/5): Popular pub. Nicely decorated. Food very good. Centrally located. I would recommend. - Comfortable, clean and spacious room .
- Jordan (10/5): -
- Ivi (10/5): -
- Cutting (9/5): Very good stay and we would highly recommend it. - everything about the hotel, location, welcome, facilities, outdoor area looked excellent but more in better weather. It was beautifully lit for winter. Room was a bit too small but still adequate for one night's stay. Bathroom was excellent. It is always good if there is some space or shelf on which to put toiletries, a feature that is sadly missing from most hotels or B&B of any size or standard.
- Simon (8/5): Very good indeed, apart from the evening dining arrangements - Excellent central location. Rooms located separately from a very busy pub which meant they were nice and peaceful. Very attentive and friendly staff, not least the owner who was clearly very busy all weekend but who showed a commendable interest in us. We had booked a meal on our first evening - which was excellent- but were disappointed that there was no separate dining area. We were surrounded by groups of people out for a Friday evening drink. The noise rendered any attempt at conversation futile!
- BRUHN (10/5): - I thought the Dog and Partridge was a good place to stay overall. If I hadn't been in Bury St Edmunds for a funeral, I may have stayed another couple of nights
- Shaun (8/5): Second visit, very pleased - Room was lovely, location good Checking in difficult when pub is busy
- Judith (10/5): Excellent value for money and lovely staff who went out of their way to make our visit comfortable. - Supper on the day of arrival and lunch the following day were both superb and reasonable price.
Room was as shown on the site with all facilities needed for a short break. Nothing
- Rachel (9/5): Very lovely stay friendly staff - Very clean I think I may of seen a ghost
- Gillian (9/5): -
- John (9/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Fantastic - Everything, lovely place to stay, eat and relax. Convenient for the old town. Super friendly staff. Just a note for late risers, breakfast finished at 9 weekdays

- Nicholas (10/5): Great room. VG breakfast. Lovely bar area. Will be back. - Great room. VG breakfast. Lovely bar area. Will be back.
- Kevin (10/5): Great weekend with friends in an excellent venue. - Great full English. Party of 14 we pre=ordered and all are together. Outside areas very well organised. Breakfast outside second morning. Our numbers increased to 21 in the evening. Again pre ordered and are outside. Nothing

- Francesca (6/5): pub nice and good location. Not sure I would book it again. - good location. staff very nice and helpful. to me bed too soft and pillow too hard.
- Hanneke (10/5): - De locatie en de maaltijden Wij komen al.7.jaar in januari en de eigenaar herkent ons nog steeds niet.
Onpersoonlijk maar wel vriendelijk
- N. (7/5): -
- Gordon (9/5): Good stay close to Georgian Theatre and near to town centre - Good room. A second chair would have been useful. very good shower. Pub restaurant great.
- Kevin (10/5): Excellent value and service with great rooms - Great staff and especially the manager The parking is not clear it’s for residents only, and it’s not guaranteed you have a parking space which will mean we will only book in the quiet season. Sorry
- Ian (10/5): Enjoyed our brief stay and we would go back and stay again if we were in the area - Friendly and helpful staff, good well priced food, lovely well maintained rooms with good facilities. Location ideal for exploring the area. Nothing
- wendy (10/5): We had a great time, the staff were so friendly will definitely be returning in the summer. - The property was spotlessly clean, spacious & warm

- Steven (7/5): Lovely hotel but one or two issues. - Amazing shower, comfy bed, nice breakfast and friendly, polite and helpful afternoon / evening staff. Great location especially for the Theatre Royal. Lovely pub with great beer choice. Very dusty room, grumpy morning manager, not cheap. The manager barely spoke to us at breakfast. He later started interviewing someone for a job in front of customers.
