• Andres (10/5): Un retiro rodeado de naturaleza. - Iara y Víctor son unos excelentes anfitriones. El trato fue muy cordial y estuvieron disponibles y atentos en todo momento. La casa de dos habitaciones es acogedora, amplia y muy cómoda, con todo lo necesario. El entorno muy agradable, con jardín y en plena naturaleza. Ideal si buscas calma y tranquilidad. Volveremos!!! Por indicar algún inconveniente, al encontrarse a cierta altitud en el Norte de la isla, las nieblas de los alisios son frecuentes (gracias a ellas se mantiene el bosque de laurisilva!), por lo que puede hacer algo de frío en invierno y primavera. La casa dispone de calefacción bajo demanda, y también chimenea, por lo que si te gusta recogerte es ideal, La única pega es que la calefacción no llega al cuarto de baño.

Los dueños son cariñosos y sientes que cuanto estas ahí es como si estuvieras en tu casa. Definitivamente un lugar que se tiene que volver a visitar muchas veces. Gracias por todo Iara y Victor ❤️🌲❤️
• Jocelyn (10/5): 4 días de auténtica paz - Nos encantó la cabaña, muy acogedora, tiene un entorno de ensueño, rodeado de vegetación frondosa, amplia estancia exterior para disfrutar todo el día al aire libre. Iara y Víctor son unos anfitriones excelentes, te hacen sentir como en tu casa. Pendientes que todo esté a tu gusto y detallistas en el servicio. Gracias de corazón. El cántico de los pájaros hicieron el resto. Repetiremos en el futuro, por tercera vez!
• Diandra (8/5): Great house but warm weather essential - The owners are really friendly and always helpful. The garden is great, but what you really need is warm weather for this place. We spent a week at the house (beginning of March) and due to rain and cold weahter we were not able to really enjoy our stay. Which is of course no fault of the owners. However, it was really cold inside since the house is heated only for some hours during the day/evening. This is not enough to get the house warm. Especially the bathroom (without heater) is cold and towels do not try. There is a shooting range nearby and you can hear shots during the whole day. Heating costs and fire wood should be included in the total amount. At least during winter/spring.

Desde el primer momento, Iara y Víctor nos recibieron con una amabilidad y atención excepcionales, haciendo que todo fluyera con naturalidad y cariño. La casa está impecablemente limpia, muy bien cuidada y equipada con todas las comodidades que puedas necesitar; cada rincón transmite calidez y detalle. El entorno es simplemente mágico: un lugar privilegiado, rodeado de naturaleza y paz, donde el tiempo parece detenerse. Cerca de la casa hay numerosos senderos y rutas de montaña que permiten descubrir paisajes de bosque y naturaleza impresionantes, perfectos para quienes buscan conectar con el aire libre y disfrutar de la belleza de Tenerife. Nuestra mascota Frodo también vivió una experiencia inolvidable, fue acogido como uno más de la familia y disfrutó tanto como nosotros, gracias al cariño de los anfitriones. Recomiendo esta casa rural en El Sauzal, Tenerife a quienes quieran descansar, desconectar y vivir unos días únicos en plena naturaleza, acompañados del trato cercano y humano de Iara y Víctor. ¡Una experiencia maravillosa que repetiremos sin dudarlo! Tener que volver a casa.

• Rafael (10/5): Desconexión, paz y naturaleza - Es un lugar de ensueño, muy acogedor y con una paz maravillosa, las estancias están completamente equipadas y no le falta ninguna comodidad , la atención de los anfitriones Víctor y Iara fue atenta y cálida como una familia, lo recomiendo
• ALEH (10/5): La estancia aquí superó todas nuestras expectativas. - Pasamos unas vacaciones increíbles en Tenerife alquilando una casa grande y acogedora. Cumplió totalmente nuestras expectativas y resultó ser incluso mejor que en las fotos. La casa es espaciosa y cómoda: un salón enorme con chimenea (que encendíamos todos los días), dos sofás, televisión y Wi-Fi. Hay otra chimenea en nuestra habitación en la planta alta, pero no la utilizamos. Es muy agradable estar aquí; la casa está situada junto al bosque, en un terreno tranquilo y acogedor con un jardín totalmente vallado. El terreno es grande, de aproximadamente una hectárea, casi al final de la calle. Lo que más nos gustó: Los desayunos en la cocina con acceso al exterior, al sol. También se puede desayunar junto a la barbacoa o en la terraza de la planta alta; la elección es suya. La barbacoa en una parrilla especialmente equipada; el resultado fue magnífico. La terraza en la planta alta con tumbonas, sillas y una sombrilla grande, donde se puede tomar el sol, descansar y admirar las estrellas. Baños cómodos: dos aseos, uno en la planta alta y otro en el exterior, cerca de la zona de barbacoa. Solo hay una ducha en la planta alta, la cual es totalmente suficiente para una estancia confortable. Dormimos en la planta alta en una habitación independiente con una cama enorme y un colchón muy blando. La primera noche fue inusual, pero a la siguiente ya estábamos acostumbrados. Los niños durmieron en la habitación de al lado en camas individuales; allí solo hay ducha. Para unas vacaciones familiares es simplemente ideal. La casa está pensada para una familia grande, pero se pueden alquilar casitas en el mismo terreno para varias familias o amigos. En la propiedad hay una casita pequeña arriba —roja con ventanas blancas— y otra pequeña casita adosada a la casa principal (pared con pared). De este modo, un grupo entero puede descansar unido, hacer barbacoas y disfrutar del tiempo con comodidad y amplitud. Los dueños viven en el terreno en una casa independiente junto a la ca Algunos puntos que, subjetivamente, yo mejoraría: Todos los cuchillos de la cocina son dentados; me faltó un cuchillo liso convencional para cortar. El colchón de nuestra habitación es muy blando: al principio me resultó inusual, aunque luego me acostumbré. No hay cobertura móvil en la propiedad (nosotros teníamos Lowi y Vodafone). El Wi-Fi funciona bien dentro de la casa y en el exterior cerca de ella, pero para tener internet móvil es necesario bajar al pueblo. En general, son detalles menores que no arruinan la estancia: la casa y el ambiente son magníficos.

• Pascal (10/5): Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les nombreuses randonnées possibles depuis la location. - L’accueil de Iara et Victor est vraiment très chaleureux et ils font tout pour que le séjour soit réussi. Le chalet est top! La brume de fin d’après-midi mais les propriétaires n’y peuvent absolument rien. Peut être vaut-il mieux venir en avril/mai dans cette partie de Tenerife plutôt qu’en février?!…
• Calvani (10/5): - Siamo stati davvero benissimo. Il punto forte di questa struttura sono Victor e Iara che sono davvero mitici!! Sempre disponibili, gentilissimi e super accoglienti! La casetta era ottima, molto pulita. Nonostante, vista l’altezza, fuori sia un pochino più freddo, era presente un comodissimo e caldissimo piumone e addirittura delle lenzuola in pile! Abbiamo inoltre aggiunto (pagando a parte, come indicato) il riscaldamento e non abbiamo mai avuto freddo! La strada per arrivare è ripida e all’inizio potrà sembrare improbabile ma si arriva bene e, una volta fatta l’abitudine, si apprezzano i magnifici panorami. È stato il soggiorno migliore che potessimo fare a Tenerife, davvero un luogo incantevole! Se torneremo sull’isola vorremmo senz’altro tornare in questa casa!!

Perfect for guests who value h - This is a truly beautiful place created by wonderful and welcoming owners, surrounded by greenery and nature. You can clearly see how much work, care, and passion have been put into every detail of the property. The atmosphere feels almost historical, which makes the stay very special and unique. The value for money is excellent, and the whole experience feels authentic and thoughtfully designed. Due to the character of the building, the interior is not very bright, there is a slight feeling of humidity, and during our stay it was a bit cold. However, this is closely connected to the unique nature of the place and can actually be seen as part of its charm — it’s a conscious choice for guests who appreciate such an atmosphere. The access to the property is also a bit complicated; it’s better not to rely entirely on navigation, as it led us astray a few times (quite literally into a field!).

• erik (10/5): Ideale plek om rust te vinden en als uitvalsbasis om Noord Tenerife te ontdekken - Geweldige ontvangst door geweldig koppel. Een warme ontvangst door warme en behulpzame mensen. Ze zijn er wanneer je daar behoefte aan hebt en laten je gerust als je daar dan weer behoefte aan hebt. De locatie is geweldig als je houdt van ‘off grid’ totale rust en veel ruimte zonder in te boeten op comfort. Met veel liefde ingerichte plek, zeer oorspronkelijk. Je hebt best wel een auto tot beschikking, ligt +1 km van de dichtsbijzijnde resto / bar. Voor mij was dat eerder een pluspunt. Perfecte plek als je het toeristische zuiden wil ontvluchten en het weinige dat er overblijft van het ‘echte’ Tenerife wil ontdekken. Aanrader, als ik in de buurt kom, verblijf ik er opnieuw.

El entorno es espectacular, la sensación de desconexión es máxima, rodeados de naturaleza y tranquilidad. Y eso q nos tocó época de lluvias, pero sigue teniendo encanto. • Rayco (10/5): Beautiful retreat surrounded by nature. - - The owners are very hospitable and welcoming. - Massive house with lots of space (2 bedroom house). - The peace and quiet surrounded by nature is truly relaxing. - The location can seem hard to reach as there are many steep and narrow roads where you need to drive slowly and carefully watching for incoming traffic. - Visitors are strictly not allowed if not notified before arrival, they need everyone’s ID for check in due to local regulation. - The timings for the paid heating during the winter months is quite limited and only works for a few hours everyday.

Tout est fait pour se reposer et profiter de la nature. L'accueil de Victor et Lara est super , dans le moindre détail. Je me suis vraiment fait plaisir à passer 3 nuits dans ce gîte.

• silvia (10/5): Idílico - El sitio es precioso, aún más que en las fotografías, todo cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle, un alojamiento de 10, sin un pero, todo perfecto. Fuimos en época prenavideña y todo estaba decorado para navidad, con muy buen gusto y con cariño. Qué decir de los anfitriones y no quedarme corta, simplemente maravillosos, entregados y super amables, cariñosos y a los que se nota que les gusta mucho su trabajo y cuidar los detalles. También saben respetar los espacios familiares a la perfección. Nos ayudaron con dudas y hasta con un problema que tuvimos con la leña por novatos. Quedamos muy impresionados con ellos, con todo. Außergewöhnlich herzliche Gastgeber. Guter Ausgangspunkt um den Norden zu erkunden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Für uns war es kein Problem aber man sollte gegebenenfalls wissen, dass der zweite Schlafraum ein Durchgangszimmer ist und auf der Empore liegt.

Perfect - Very large house, lots of room, very clean, very nice and cheerful hosts, eclectic furnishings with a very personal note of the hosts. Iara and Victor are rightfully proud of their beautiful mountain retreat and share that feeling with their guests. Internet may need some range booster to work everywhere in the house. But in the living room and kitchen it is fast and reliable.

La casa muy acogedora con todos los utensilios indispensables y necesarios para una feliz estancia, rodeada de naturaleza, paz y tranquilidad, y nada de ruido. Todo muy bien organizado para tu bienestar. Me gustó que las ventanas tuvieran mosquiteras, así no hay mosquitos que entren de ocupas🦟. La limpieza excepcional. Merece la pena volver, tan sólo por recibir el cariño verdadero de Iara y Víctor. En el exterior también hay pura naturaleza para pasear y respirar aire puro y sano. El no haber estado más tiempo disfrutando del lugar

Sentimos tanta paz que parecía que estuvimos más tiempo. El lugar trasmite calma e intimidad. Los propietarios viven cerca y eso te da seguridad por si necesitas algo en medio del monte, te dan una bienvenida y una despedida muy calurosa y profesional. Son un amor los dos. Gracias por todo. El patio con hamacas y un chorro para mojarte fue un espectáculo, solo escuchas el sonido de los pajaritos.si buscas desconectar y descanso este es tu lugar. Subiendo un poco comienzan los senderos y puedes hacer muchos,están súper bien señalizados. En definitiva es un espectáculo de lugar de los que no se encuentran tan fácil.

La casita roja tiene mucha privacidad. Ha sido una experiencia preciosa, de esas que se quedan en el corazón y que sin duda queremos repetir. Victor y Iara te acojeran con alegria y simpatia, la verdad dos personas super amables. Hemos tambien visto las otras estructuras y son super hermosas. Super recomendado. Volveremos!
• Castellano (10/5): Mi nuevo sitio favorito - ¿Cómo describir tan maravillosa experiencia?. Me alojé en la cabaña roja y desde el entorno, la tranquilidad, la comodidad, los paseos en los jardines comunes (que son maravillosos), los senderos espectaculares detrás de la finca totalmente seguros hasta unos maravillosos anfitriones que desde el minuto uno han sido serviciales, amables y super atentos para hacer que la experiencia fuera la mejor y así ha sido ( la mejor de mi vida), desde preguntarme qué tal pasé la noche, hasta si necesitaba alguna cosa de comida y demás, todo con el fin de que me sintiera a gusto y segura en un sitio tan espectacular y al mismo tiempo con el respeto a mi privacidad. Sin lugar a dudas un sitio recomendado con los ojos cerrados, al que deseo volver cuanto antes (esta vez con mi familia ya que fue una experiencia en solitario) y donde conectaras con la naturaleza y contigo mismo, acompañado de una rica barbacoa o bien solo del canto de los pájaros Todo me encantó

Wonderful garden The oranages lemons and apricots were amazing. The hosts Lara and Victor are lovely people and even got our 12 year old a birthday present which was so kind We went to the attractions in the south most days with the kids and returned to our Haven in the evening for food and games. If you like nature, your food and your sleep this is it!! Nothing!
• Stella (9/5): Overall great experience! Would happily return. - Great little home in a nice property surrounded by nature, perfect for a relaxing holiday! The hosts were very friendly and responsive. While the location is generally convenient for discovering the northern part of the island, it can be a little tricky to reach by car, although not a problem if you are comfortable with driving in narrow/steep roads.
• Li (10/5): Their house is very beautiful, like the vibe in the movie. I really like the house with so many windows, and I didn' - I really loved Mr. Vítor and Mrs. Lara’s enthusiasm—it was truly contagious. Mr. Vítor kindly reminded me to be careful not to slip, and Mrs. Lara even picked fresh pomelo for me. They shared so many interesting details and were incredibly warm and friendly. I stayed in the little red house in the garden, which was absolutely fabulous! The flowers were in full bloom, making the experience even more beautiful. Since my Chinese cell phone number wasn’t registered on WhatsApp, but they responded message to my emails and even picked me up. Communication wasn’t always easy due to the language barrier, which led to some misunderstandings, but I believe it will only get better in the future. I really hope to visit again next time! Thanks a lot. My bank card was not successfully used to pay for the taxi fare, but they paid the driver for me first, and then I paid them.
• Zoe (10/5): Tranquil and clean mountain retreat - We stayed in the big family house for six days while day-tripping all over Tenerife. The hosts are supremely hospitable, helpful, and unobtrusive. The house is truly beautiful. There are adequate kitchen facilities, a spacious living toom, three very comfortable beds upstairs, and an en suite bedroom with stunning views. And the entire house was very, very clean. Waking up there is a perfect way to begin any day. Sitting in front of the fire is a perfect way to end any day. There are good paved roads up to the house. Some are pretty steep. We had unreasonable rain most of the days we were in Tenerife (March 2025) and stayed at home one day. It was an absolute indulgence to sit in a warm and beautiful house and listen to the rain and watch the clouds and mist sweep up the mountainside.

• Abu (10/5): Nature pure - Iara and Victor are so nice hosts. The house is well equipped and so cozy. The surrounding is incredible and nature pure. Close by drive of 10min to the beach. The house is near the forest to have a nice walk and to enjoy the silence. Absolutely good and we will come back once.

• Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional - It was lovely. Beautiful spacious house. Wonderful kind hosts. Beautiful green, quiet surroundings. The house is located in a quiet area on a steep mountainside. The north side is beautiful and there is a lot to do and explore in the area. Shops and local restaurants a few minutes driving away, the owners have some good tips. We also found a nice beach and natural swimming pools less than 30 minutes away. It can get a bit chilly in autumn/winter,, but optional heating is available, so request on time.

• Alex (9/5): Superb - The owners are super friendly and the communication was very smooth and the replies were very quick. The house is located near to a very small village, in the countryside. Very quiet and very high, around 1000m of altitude. Quite often the house is surrounded by clouds. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. The village nearby has the basics. Restaurants, cafes, mini supermarkets, pharmacies and gas station. The location is not quite easy to access by foot or public transportation. The streets are very steep. Even if you drive a car, it can be a little bit challenging to drive through the steep streets and narrow roads. Our cell phones were not working in a radius of 3 km from the location , due to the lack of signal.
• Piers (10/5): Stunning spacious country home in the hills - Victor and Iara are warm and welcoming hosts who went out of their way to make us comfortable. We stayed in the larger house on the compound and it was wonderful. Stylish (country farmhouse style), colourful, spacious and beautifully set out. The TV was great (satellite and Netflix etc) and the lounge area was super comfortable. The bedroom was lovely with a wonderful big window looking onto the lush gardens and trees. The bed in the master bedroom was amazingly comfortable and extra long (I'm 1.92m). Shower was powerful and hot. When we arrived the property was shrouded in cloud and drizzle (it's high up), but this didn't spoil our time there. Towards the end of our stay the sun came out and it was wonderful. There are forest walks just up from the property. Security is excellent with a large electronic gate. Really not much to dislike at all. It is a steep drive up narrow roads so be aware of that, but it's what gives it its charm also. Clothes washing/drying facilities would have been extra great. A few more kitchen implements and maybe some sun loungers. But really, these are mere quibbles.

We thank Iara and Viktor for our pleasant stay. - The geographical location is very lucky -- the place doesn't get too hot during the day and cools nicely at night, with just a little wind. It's pleasant to sit on the terrace under a little shadow. Forest trails are just a few steps away. Unfortunately, some area of the forest suffered in a recent fire but it's still a nice place to walk. The hosts are wonderful helpful people. The doors are pretty low. My husband is 185 cm tall and knocked his head against them several times. WiFi is great at the house but there is no phone reception.
• Eileen (10/5): Amazing relaxing holiday - The most amazing stay here, thanks to Iara and Victor. The house and grounds were stunning. It was a fantastic place to chill out and relax. It was also easy to sight see in Laguna, Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz. Iara and Victor were so very welcoming and the house had everything we needed. Really enjoyed sitting out in the balcony in the evenings. The house is a short drive to the supermarkets and other amenities.

• Oliver (10/5): Paradise in the Hills - The real question is , what isn't to like...💫 Both Victor and the equally lovely Iara are really authentic people with such big hearts...! Unlike so many touristic establishments who just want your money 💰, Finca La Gustoza feels like a home from home.. The hosts bend over backwards to make your stay as magical as possible...! The location is like a mini paradise away from the touristic trail and at the base of the forest,it feels like you are in another world..! If you want to escape the south of island which is a tourist trap infested by overweight sunburnt Fish and Chips type of People who want England with Sun,then I would not hesitate to recommend La Gustoza to anyone...I have stayed here several times and each time I visit it just gets better...The attention to detail is above what one would expect and the hosts are so helpful 😀 Even though there is little to no phone signal the WiFi is strong. Its in my top 3 places to stay in Tenerife and I've stayed in over 50 places... A true Gem 💎 Feels like home xO I cannot wait to return 🤞✌️❤️💯 Oliver Peace and Quiet, amazing hospitality but not overbearing...Opportunity to shut the modern world off and get into nature but still having access to modern creature comforts...) Authentic Non-Overbearing Owners...Surrounded by Nature

The accommodation was super cute and equipped with absolutely everything needed. The garden is lush and wild, providing a beautiful view. This place is perfect for people that are looking for a calm and peaceful surrounding in a remote location, yet is easily accessible by car (10 min from highway). We definitely want to return here!

• Susan (10/5): Magical location nestled high up in the forests above El Sauzal. Just fabulous! - This place is absolutely magical, from the madding crowds. Beautifully peaceful set in a lovely large lush garden and surrounded outwith by old forests. Waking up at dawn to a chorus of birdsong was the best. Wonderful hosts, Victor and Iara: gracious, kind, funny, engaging, helpful. Had some great conversations in a variety of languages! The attention to detail and the love with which La Gustoza has been created is exceptional.

• Simon (9/5): Awesome, relaxing and very comfortable stay with a great view - It was a very comfortable little house on a beautiful property, very kind and caring hosts, great views, privacy as we dreamed off, however with the option to reach our hosts if we needed anything :) with our rental car we reached any place we wanted to go with ease, however except for hiking you need a car there. We are regulars on Teneriffe and hope to see this place available again, when we return. Like most fincas there is no dishwasher, which made me do the dishes after brunch again after a loooong time, much to the amusement of my wife :D

Definitely the best place if you want to relax and get rest. The owners, Iara and Victor, are wonderful people, very kind and helpful.

They were superb, warm hosts who welcomed me like family. I was in Tenerife hiking, this spot was great for accessing El Teide National Park and Anaga Rural Park. It was perfect.
