Guest Reviews
- Kirsten (8/5): We loved this adventure despite the cold. A couple more blankets would have been wonderful. - Loved the setting and experience meeting the goats. We loved the farm and found it easily, The hosts were friendly and were able to message back and forth to work out a suitable time for us to have a tour of the farm. Really needed more blankets as the temperature averaged around 4c. One comforter was NOT enough! We stoked up the rocket stove but it quickly burnt through the logs and then we had no heating.

- Wilson (10/5): How’s the serenity - We loved the goats! And the beautiful friendly Labrador that visited us!
Sarah was an amazing host answering all our silly questions promptly and catering to our needs. The tiny home is beautiful and spotlessly clean with great views. We have fallen in love with this place and soaked up the tranquility. We’ll be back x Nothing to dislike at all!
- Thea (9/5): Superb - we had a very nice stay nice spot we could sit outside all evening comfortable bed and everything was there for a nice stay n/a all was perfect
- Farchione (8/5): Very good - The goats on the property as so friendly and great company as we didn't have a dog with us. It had all the facilities we needed during our stay to cook meals, wash and relax. It's near a flight path, so it was noisy when a plane went past. This was really the only bad thing, so not so bad at all!
- Kris (9/5): Superb -
- Joelle (10/5): Brilliant city escape and amazing experience - Location and stay was perfect
- Holly (10/5): The best weekend away - Such a beautiful area, Sarah was extremely kind and we absolutely loved feeding and milking the goats and learning about life on the farm. The house was clean and the perfect size for a couples getaway
- Anonymous (9/5): Wonderful - Absolutely loved being able to interact with goats and spot all the kangaroos! Such a fun experience to be staying in a tiny home as it’s not something we had done before. Little bit confusing to find the property - a little more signage would make it easier!

- Makira (8/5): Very good - Loved that it was just a short drive from Melbourne. It was easy enough to access and the hosts instructions on finding the place were pretty good. The view in the morning was gorgeous to wake up to and we felt we had so much privacy on the property. The bed was so comfy and the indoor fireplace heat the place up so well we felt like we were in a sauna.
The goats on the property were also gorgeous but we missed the milking as it was pretty early for a Sunday. We arrived in the dark and would've appreciated an outdoor light. The eco toilet is great but we were unsure if we were using it correctly... also perhaps some toilet spray might be nice to include as the saw dust does okay to hide some scents but not all.
Also there was no oil in the kitchen for cooking so that could've been included for extra consideration.
- Bede (10/5): Lovely - Location, weather, cleanliness.
- Jason (9/5): Great view from a cosy tiny home - Great view down through the Macedon Ranges hills, Sarah was very friendly and communicated well before we arrived. The tiny home was clean and had a nice grass area around it. Occasional plane noise from nearby flight path, but didn't worry us at all.
- Alisha (10/5): An amazing and relaxing get away, and so enjoyable meeting the owners and their goats - It’s beautiful and clean, and amazing views to relax and enjoy Nothing that I didn’t like about it
- Quentin (10/5): Quiet and cozy stay above the valley - Our stay in the Alpine Tiny House was exactly what we were after: a cozy, quiet, secluded space with superb views of the surrounding hills. The tiny house is well setup and equipped (kitchen utensils, toiletry, tea/coffee…). Power, gas or hot water were not an issue. The only negative would be the heater, which needed constant monitoring for the too little warmth it provided. Definitely missing an extra blanket for cold nights (May).

- Dm1410 (10/5): Wonderful view in a charming tiny house and an even better goat farm all within an hour's drive away - A fantastic location with a wonderful view all within an hour's drive away from Melbourne CBD. The accommodation was clean and cosy. The hosts were fantastic, and the goat farm was a joy to tour around. You can tell that the goats were well loved as they will naturally come up to you to say hello and ask for rubs. Would definitely visit again, and would definitely support such a wonderful local business. Very minor, the pillows were a bit flat. I recommend guests to bring their own (but then again, I like higher pillows).

- Jill (8/5): Very good -
- Aidan (8/5): We had a great stay at Altitude tiny home - Great location and facilities
We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of city life and could completely switch off.
The tiny house is very well equipped and we really enjoyed having the fire place on a cold winters night.
Our dog loved the stay and spent allot of time with the owners golden retriever waffles.
The hosts are very accommodating and responsive. One thing they could add would be some signage to find the property, as there are actually 3 tiny homes on the property so could be confusing if multiple guests arrive at similar times
- Clara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gaggiano (10/5): Peaceful country feel , we fell in love with the goats -
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Orathip (8/5): It was a lovely experience. - It was a quiet and cosy area to relax and unwind We were not used to using a toilet without plumbing
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sachini (10/5): it was gorgeous - the host was so lovely, the view from
the tiny house was amazing
- Daniel (3/5): We didn't feel safe - The location, the views. No interaction with host in person. Host had messaged me once I had arrived to tell me the fridge wasn't working. No clear instructions given to find the house. No key handover meaning the tiny home had no lock on the door. Upon arrival we found ourselves at the wrong tiny house but the door was locked. I understand that this house may be used for farm workers, but that tiny house having a lockable door and ours not having one didnt make us feel comfortable/safe/and even welcome. Flooding had damaged the driveway meaning access to the house via car was not available. Listing states that if bringing pets to keep them on a leash at all times because of other livestock. But when we arrived a big (lovely) dog came over to our house. Although the dog was lovely, this is a problem for pet owners who may be anxious about another dog approaching their dog unannounced. Again, this other dog was lovely but had obviously been going in and out of the nearby pond and coming back and wetting us and walking in and out of our tiny home wetting the floor. Up top sleeping area was not roomy at all and made us feel quite claustrophobic. Some insect netting on windows had ripped. My partner and I left the tiny home at around 1am and drove home to Melbourne. It's very unfortunate but we didn't feel safe in the house at night and everything above made us feel that the host had done the bare minimum to accommodate us. At $250+ a night I expected more from the host. Compost toilet/long drop served its purpose I guess.
- Nafi (10/5): Exceptional - Had a wonderful stay for our anniversary - stunning location off the grid. Made a trip to Turpins Falls on a hot day, and spent the rest of the afternoon making dinner and watching the sunset (spectacular view) and even had a lightning show late at night. Host was super accommodating and gave us an experience with the goats to remember. We got to see a mama goat and kids shortly after she gave birth, which was pretty special. Highly reccomend if you're after an incredible farm stay!
- Evan (9/5): Superb -
- Courtney (9/5): Goat farm tiny house - Amazing beautiful views in all directions, close to lots of walking trails and adventures.very friendly people and the Goat experience was amazing. dazed by watching the planes, fantastic sunsets and star gazing at night 🌙
- Lê (8/5): Very good -
- Kellyann (10/5): Exceptional - The tiny house was so cute and the views were stunning. The access to the tiny house and the parking situation for the tiny house weren't great. I understand the rain and floods had a Loy to do with it but something more structural should be set up in future .
