- bristolpeople (10/5): Excellent beautifully presented - Really excellent hotel. We had a very spacious room beautifully decorated and presented. The staff were always polite snd eager to help. Breakfast was superb with just about everything anyone could wish for. We also ate in the restaurant one evening. It was expensive but the 3 course vegan menu was outstanding some of the best food i have had. I think chefs have to work harder with vegan/vegetarian food and it was clear they had done that. Great base for petronas towers.

We loved coming back to our peaceful room after hectic afternoons of shopping in the city. The location is in the middle of everything, easy Grab ride anywhere. Special thanks to Adreena, Fira, Elly and Chef Faizal Zainal who went above and beyond to give us such a marvelous experience.

The atmosphere was relaxing and everything was well taken care of. Special thanks to the staffs (reservations, bellman, front office, staff at Santai) for their excellent hospitality. They were very attentive and always offer to help with a smile. Thanks to Mr Sofi at Santai for great and friendly service too. Will definitely come back again!

- David (9/5): We will come again - We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this establishment and by the high-end materials used throughout the hotel and the rooms. It is a beautiful hotel, ideally located in the center of Kuala Lumpur, close to the Petronas Towers while still being peaceful and quiet. The bedding is worthy of a true 5-star hotel and provides outstanding comfort. Special mention also goes to the hotel’s pastry chef — the pastries were excellent. - 919bernicet (2/5): Unsafe, untrain staff - I was on a solo business trip. While on a call in the bathroom, I heard the doorbell ring. I did not respond and continued with my meeting. Despite this, a male housekeeper entered the room unannounced while I was still inside, forcing me to shout to stop him. This is a small boutique hotel. Typically, hotels have systems in place to determine whether a guest is in the room before entering. That does not appear to be the case here—there was no verification, and staff entered without permission. The staff later argued that I had not placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. However, that does not justify entering an occupied room without confirmation. The level of privacy and safety is unacceptable, and there is a clear lack of proper guest-handling procedures. I also had an incident at the swimming pool. A server passed by and offered water. I asked if he could assist in contacting the manager, as I had forgotten my key. He initially refused and told me to “find my own way.” When a senior staff member walked past and I asked her for help, the same server immediately changed his tone and said, “Ok, ok, I help you, I help you—don’t complain.” The senior staff member ultimately assisted by contacting the front desk. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and reflects a team that appears inadequately trained.

Small hitch at check in. Got my keycard but it wasn’t working so they checked and checked me in to a higher floor due to the mix up. I got a corner room and enjoyed it so much. Extremely spacious room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom - Balmain toiletries. It was so perfect. It felt very much like a luxurious home hotel and I didn’t want to check out even though I was going to the Park Hyatt at Merdeka for my next stay. The bath tub was so comfortable. 10/10 stay! I didn’t try the spa/pool but the hotel has a great location. Close to the mall and Petronas Twin Towers which was amazing to see at night (unforgettable view). I cannot wait to be back to KL and stay here again!

Highlight - They do traditional food exceptionally well. was blown away by the thought process that went into curating tea time. ordered tea time with my wife and the local ingredients was creatively infused in the petit gateux and chocolate. Attended by warm Naveen. shout out also to Zurina for recommending us house specialty mocktails. Please also try their dinner. Penang fish curry was superb , on par with the one in Penang. Overall, an excellent stay!

- echoitia (8/5): Mixed experiences but overall is good - The room, views & other facilities are good, it’s just that we’ve experienced paranormal activity in the room while we were sleeping. Disturbance only occurs in the middle of night, things falling sound, bathroom glass-door opening sound, things knocked sounds & also baby crying sounds outside of my room. My fiancée loves to sleep in completely darkness, as for me, I like to have dimmed light, every night before going to bed, I’ll leave the washroom door slightly open to let some light into the room. Last night of the stay, my fiancée wakes me up midnight, say there’s a guy standing in front of her, staring at her until she wakes me up then its gone… Overall is good, its just paranormal stuff.

- V960UJcarolm (10/5): STUNNING HOTEL - The hotel was very convenient as it is located in the city centre, close to the mall and KLCC, which made everything easier for us. During check-in, Haikal was very welcoming and kind enough to upgrade our room. We also mentioned to him that we were celebrating our 30th anniversary, and surprisingly, on the same day, the hotel sent us a lovely cake to celebrate. Such a thoughtful gesture that truly made our stay extra special. This is honestly one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The hospitality was excellent, the staff were attentive, and everything throughout the stay was wonderful. Trust me, I will definitely come back and stay at this hotel again.

- Kathrin (10/5): Grossartiges Hotel! - Absolut perfekt! Wir waren hier im Rahmen unserer dreimonatigen Asienreise und das RuMa wird und als bestes Hotel der ganzen Reise in Erinnerung bleiben. Besonders toll ist die Lage zwischen Pavillon und den Petronas Towers, man kann eigentlich alles zu Fuss machen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls der Hammer, das Personal extrem freundlich und alles piekfein sauber. Nichts.

I’d like to especially thank Miss Adreena from the reception team. She was extremely friendly and helped me with directions arrangements. Her service made my stay much smoother. - Danielle (10/5): Short but sweet - Everything was really good and they also have luxury toiletries from Balmain in the bathroom. The room was really comfortable and the gym is one of the best hotel gyms we’ve been to. We didn’t get to try the pool as we were only there for 2 nights. It is in walking distance and a really good location for most sights in KL including the twin towers. The breakfast was expensive for a buffet style £20 gbp each but the service was really good, this is probably more of a preference and expectation on our end. There was a choice of how you want your eggs cooked and then a good selection on the buffet from around the world so would probably suit most people.

The venue is stunning, but what truly made the difference was the team behind it. We worked with Izni from day one, and she was an absolute pleasure throughout the entire planning process. Warm, cooperative, and incredibly responsive. She made us feel supported at every stage. On the wedding day itself, when a couple of issues arose, she resolved them swiftly and calmly without us ever having to worry. That kind of professionalism is rare and deeply appreciated. Chan, the Head of F&B, also went above and beyond staying on call and assisting with deliveries on the day itself. It was clear that the entire team was invested in making the day run smoothly, not just their individual roles. And then there is Chef Su. The menu he curated was nothing short of exceptional. We received so many compliments from our guests throughout the evening. The food was a highlight of the night and a true reflection of the care and craft he puts into his work. If you are looking for a venue where the space is beautiful and the team genuinely cares, look no further. We are so grateful to The Ruma for being part of our special day. Thank you Izni, Chan, Chef Su, and the entire team, you made our dream wedding a reality.

- shafeezs (10/5): The Sunday Brunch Buffet at ATAS The Ruma. Surpassed my expectations by a mile! I'm in a food coma. - Great location not hard to reach esp when you come before 12pm. Very homey vibe and atmosphere. The staff are super friendly. Special recognition to our waiter Bell who was very accommodating, super friendly and chatty but not overbearing. Answered all our queries perfectly short n sweet. We spend half of what we would at a normal restaurant serving Lobster and Steak. Here I got to try everything. To me the highlight was the Lamb Ribs (the glaze is superb!) and the Alaskan King Crab. Fish and chips was a bit dry. But the rest was really chef's kiss. We are very fussy eaters so when me esp my wife say the food is good, it's really good! Surpassed my expectations by a mile esp with the kind of price that we paid. You just have to make sure you come punctual on time otherwise you might miss out. Would definitely repeat again and recommend to friends and family. Keep it up Atas at The Ruma!

Very friendly and helpful staff, felt super welcomed. Location is great, 10 minutes walk to both KLCC and Pavilion Bukit Bintang. The only downside of this stay is that it’s quite pricey for locals.

Informed the hotel in advance that I be celebrating my bd in the hotel and the housekeeper prepare a birthday cake and even written a heartfill birthday card. The room was clean and bed is comfy with a choice to change for a firm pillow. However there are some improvement points: 1. Insufficient table for Breakfast. For the first time, we needed to q and waited for 15min to enter the restaurants. It was very crowded on weekend 2. Bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly. - vivtan171717 (10/5): Cosy KL Stay with Twin Tower Views, Great Food & Warm Service - Had such a great 3D2N stay at The RuMa Hotel with two of my girlfriends. They were able to add an extra bed for us, which made the room super comfortable without feeling cramped. The highlight was definitely the view. We had a clear view of the Petronas Twin Towers from both the room and even the bathtub, which made it so easy to slow down and just enjoy the space. Very cosy, stay-in-all-day kind of vibe. Food and service really stood out. Breakfast had a great mix of buffet and made-to-order options, and we also tried the Sunday brunch with bubbles, where the lobster was a highlight. The team was genuinely warm and attentive. Special shoutout to Bell from the restaurant, who was incredibly attentive and made sure we were always taken care of. Location is also a big win. It’s about a 10-minute walk to KLCC and the park, with an undercover walkway most of the way. Overall, such an easy and enjoyable stay. I’d definitely recommend The RuMa if you’re in KL.

Hotel is very well located in the heart of the city, within easy walking for sightseeing and restaurants. Very near Petronas towers and the KLCC park. Room was excellent, plenty of space and very well appointed with everything we needed on hand. Staff were extremely helpful and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Overall a great location to stay for a few days in KL.

They are the epitome of great luxury hospitality, surely lending significant weight to the One Michelin Key that this hotel holds. Someone give them a raise and promotion? Some other luxury hotel chain, please poach them? Only meegh thing was the beef wellington. Superbly dry. Tough. And contains the intersection of tendon/sinew. Gotta improve on this front. Other food items were 100/100!

Rooms are very clean but also slightly tired, from a finishing perspective. We were in a large suite with two living areas but a relatively small bed (Standard King) - not greatest use of space. Would have been nice to have a super king.

- Noorazma (10/5): Execellence in hospitality - - Top notch hospitality, all staff from the doormen, reception until housekeeping team were all helpful, wearing smile all the time and I only saw local men and women, no foreign workers. I've been to some 4-5 stars hotels but this is my first experience that the receptionists would approach the guests for check-in/out regardless membership status or club/exec room reservation. My special request fulfilled <3. For my personal record, this experience surpassed the warmest hospitality that's typically shown by our neighbour, Indonesia. They indeed deserve the Michelin status. - Room layout and wooden interior resembles a house which is truly defined as Ruma (rumah in Malay). Space just nice, not too big nor too small. - Cozy bed and pillow, up to my liking. It helped my body to relax and recover after a full body massage I had in the afternoon. - I would say everything was great. Note: I did not try their breakfast and any other facilities because I could not even leave the bed. None. I would love to return after I finish trying all notable hotels in KL.
