• Fanny (5/5): Just Ok - Hotellet ligger i et avsidesliggende område, noe som i seg selv ikke nødvendigvis er et problem. Imidlertid opplevde jeg at servicenivået og gjestfriheten ikke helt samsvarte med det man forventer når man tar imot gjester fra ulike deler av verden. Jeg hadde en situasjon der eieren tok opp et tema med oss. Budskapet i seg selv forstår jeg – hoteller har regler, og de skal selvfølgelig følges. Det som imidlertid gjorde meg ukomfortabel, var måten det ble kommunisert på. Tilnærmingen og tonen gjorde opplevelsen ubehagelig, selv om innholdet i meldingen var forståelig. Dette gir meg inntrykk av at hotellet kanskje ikke helt er forberedt på å håndtere og ønske velkommen gjester med ulike nasjonaliteter og kulturelle bakgrunner. Når det gjelder rommet, var det svært lite for et par. Det finnes begrenset plass til å åpne eller oppbevare kofferter. I tillegg er det ikke en tradisjonell madrass på sengen, men heller tykkere dyner brukt som underlag, noe som kan være uvant for noen. Dette er ikke ment som kritikk, men som informasjon slik at fremtidige gjester kan ta en bevisst vurdering før de bestiller, og avgjøre om dette er riktig sted for dem. The hotel is located in a remote area, which in itself is not necessarily a problem. However, I felt that the level of service and hospitality did not fully reflect what one would expect when welcoming guests from different parts of the world. I experienced a situation where the owner addressed an issue with us. I completely understand that hotels have rules and that they should be followed. The discomfort I felt was not about the message itself, but rather the way it was communicated. The approach and tone made the interaction uncomfortable, even though the content of the message was understandable. This left me with the impression that the hotel may not yet be fully prepared to accommodate and engage with guests from diverse nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Regarding the room, it is extremely small for a couple. There is very limited space to open or store luggage. Additionally, instead of a traditional mattress, the bed uses thicker duvets as a base, which may feel unusual to some guests. This is not meant as criticism, but rather as helpful information so future guests can make an informed decision before booking and determine whether this property suits their expectations.

Will definitely make a return visit if we can! - We loved everything about this incredible hotel; from every single member of the amazing staff, the location in the incredible surrounds of Alta (but only a 20min drive to town) to the relaxed Hygge vibe and opportunities to see the Aurora and do snowy activities! It has beautiful furnishings, a fantastic fire (!) and is immaculately clean. The chef created some amazing food also. The activities are expensive (due to £ vs NOK) , but worth it and there is clear pricing on their website.

• Aino (6/5): If you travel with dogs, book a cabin or skip the hotel - Really nice breakfast, I appreciate the hotel's goals and actions to promote sustainable travel. Cabin was wonderful! We booked room and we clearly stated that we are travelling with dogs. Before the stay I received a message about the extra service fee for pets. That we were able to clear out that our reservation's price already include this fee... When we arrived to the (almost empty) hotel, we were told that our dogs are not welcome in the lobby. Oh well, with this I can live but it seems a bit odd. But then they guided us how to get to our room. We had to go outside via the loading dock, step to a few pallets, and up a spiral ladder staircase to the second floor. So we would have to carry our dogs up and down four times a day through those dangerous staircase! Thank god the receptionist saw my distress and change our room, actually upgrade it to the cabin. I would still advice to choose different hotel if you travel with pets, because you are not allowed to left your pets alone in the room. This means that we were taking turns to go to the breakfast and we did not even think about going on the dinner. Also this was something we would have liked to know before booking this hotel (in Finland you can always leave your pet to the room and with some places you can take your dog even for breakfast and dinner). Wildest thing was that there were off leash dog on the parking area that clearly belong to the employees. So this is not a pet friendly hotel, if the pet belongs to guest.

• Andrea (10/5): Wir hatten einen mega Aufenthalt der sich echt gelohnt hat. - Wir hatten einen tollen aufenthalt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sauber und ansprechend. Es war mega ruhig und angenehm. Man hatte praktisch keine Lichtverschmutzung um die Nordlichter gut zu sehen und wir konnten dies auch. Es hat sich gelohnt ein wenig ausserhalb zu übernachten. Wir haben 3 Übernachtungen dort gehabt und 3 mal dort gegessen weil es mega gut war. Die Karte ist klein aber wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Die Sauna und der Jacuzzi sind super zum am abend abschalten. Das Frühstück konnten wir da wir in der Nebensaison waren direkt bestellen wie wir es wollten damit nicht soviel weggeschmiessen werden musste, was ich sehr gut fand. Es hatte alles was es braucht und konnte auch nachbestellt werden falls es zu wenig war. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr aufmerksam. 1/2 Stunde zum einschalten der Sauna ist zu wenig das sie richtig warm ist. 1 Stunde braucht es schon damit man sie richtig nutzen kann. Sonst kann ich nichts sagen wo mich stören würde.

• Lisa (9/5): Gemütliche Unterkunft mit tollem Essen - Die gesamte Lodge ist gemütlich eingerichtet mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail (das Feuer im Kamin brennt,Bücher und Spiele stehen zur Verfügung,Kaffee und Tee kann man sich jederzeit zubereiten) und man fühlt sich somit direkt willkommen und wie zu Hause. Das von uns spontan gebuchte Abendessen war vorzüglich und auch das Frühstück sehr lecker! Die Betten fanden wir zu weich, aber das ist ja immer Geschmackssache

Partie commune chaleureuse et typique du nord avec feu de cheminée et ambiance cosie. Idéal pour se ressourcer. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Petit déjeuner fabuleux. Pour la partie wellness (sauna jaguzzi). Il faut réserver et le privatiser et est payant. Mais c’est un détail.

The food was good, although you do need to make sure it's available and reserve each day. I wish the sauna and hot tub were included or a much cheaper price. You definitely need a car to get around and we didn't see any obvious hiking trails from the property.

Wir kamen weit nach Küchenschluss und bekamen ohne Zögern eine sehr leckere Kleinigkeit zu essen. Es wir wohl noch einiges auf dem Gelände erweitert: Kletterei, Hütten … Wir eine tolle Winteranlage. Aufgrund der Lage in den Bergen auch im Sommer ein toller Ort zum Bleiben. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln

• Bjørn (5/5): Over priced in terms of service level - Fresh, nice and warm designed room and lounge. Loved the option of having breakfast on the porch’s. All in all chill atmosphere All though the food tasted good, the breakfast service was terrible. No sense of urgency to refill the serving trays with new food. When the trays for eggs, bacon, salami, ham, salmon etc all are empty and stay empty the alarm bell should ring and workers on service should speed up. I’ve had better service at cheap family hotels with hundreds of guests, than this lodge that served a max of 10 guests while I had breakfast. Seemed like the people in service didn’t not understand that they are actually selling a high end product.

• Enrico (8/5): - Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr lächer! Das Hotel ist relativ neu, sehr sauber und komfortabel. Die Anfahrt zum Hotel ist eine Schotterstrasse!

• Frederike (9/5): Gerne wieder! - Tolles Essen, super freundliches Personal und idyllische Lage. Es fehlte der Indoor-Spielplatz der laut booking.com vorhanden sein sollte, auch der Outdoorspielplatz war sehr spärlich. Ein Wickeltisch wäre super gewesen.

• Laaksonen (10/5): - Great location with beautiful surroundings. Must recommend the Arctic Romance Package. Stunning breakfast with finely selected offering. I travel a lot and have started rating the places I stay by the quality of the breakfast bacon. I have to admit that this place is the new "king of the hill" on Matti's bacon index. Absolute 6/5 👌
• tiia (10/5): Kotoisa, laadukas - Siisti, viihtyisä, laadukas. Ihanat petivaatteet, hyvä tyyny ja sänky. Maistuva aamupala. Kodikas. Luxus pesuaineet, niin hyvä tuoksu että vältteli hiustenpesua sen jälkeen pidempään😊

• Annemarie (10/5): Rustige plek in de noorse bergen op weg naar noordkaap, sami toerisme - Prachtig gelegen in de bergen, groot huis met sfeervolle kamers creatief ingericht, alles gericht op eco toerisme. Airco maakt wat lawaai terwijl je juist wilt genieten van de stilte in de bergen

• Piskonen (10/5): - Siisti hotelli, kauniilla paikalla omassa rauhassa. Ystävällinen henkilökunta ja herkullinen aamiainen, jossa norjalaisia makuja. Perhehuoneen tähtitaivas katto oli upea. Ilmastointi puuttui huoneesta ja heinäkuun helteet tekivät huoneesta kuuman. Ikkunat sai kyllä auki, mutta yöllä ne oli pidettävä kiinni hyttysten takia.

• Hämäläinen (9/5): - Siisti kohtuuhintainen hotelli. Asfaltointi puuttui hotellin pihasta, sekä sinne vievältä tieltä.
• Alexandre (10/5): Très bel endroit, très relaxant. - Très bel hôtel, personnel accueillant. Nous avons diner et pris le petit-déjeuner au restaurant c’était délicieux. Très relaxant. La décoration de l’hôtel est chaleureuse.

• Tanja (8/5): Kiva lyhyen visiitin majoituspaikkaan - Kauniisti sisustettu ja siisti hotelli Ilmastointi ei jaksanut viilentää huonetta (majoituimme hellejakson aikana) Pimennysverho huoneessa olisi hyvä
• Piia (9/5): - Uusi hieno, pieni söpö hotelli. Mukava huone ja hyvä aamupala. Takapihalla vuohia. Huoneessamme olo vain yksi pyyhe ja toinen peittokin oli kaapin päällä, vaikka olin varannut huoneen kahdelle.
