Guest Reviews
- christina (5/5): - Location was good for our stay and instructions on how to enter property and rooms was really clear Entry to hotel, no staff, alot of steps to our room, no bar facilities, no breakfast facilities, bed extremely uncomfortable, only 1 bedside lamp, 1 coat hanger, bright green light on in room all night, string to pull blind down broken, access to kettle behind TV nit good

- Barry (9/5): Good value hotel with friendly staff - Staff were very welcoming and helpful on our arrival at the hotel. The receptionist upgraded our room and gave us directions to suitable restaurants locally. She was also helpful with the storage of our cycles. The tv in the room was excellent and the WiFi was great too. Although our room was very clean with a good shower the mattress wasn’t too comfortable. It had a bit of a strange foisty smell in the room.

- derrick (4/5): a bit grim - The breakfast was ok The place was closed, only open for a few guests, room only, no restaurant or bar in the evening. Did get breakfast though.
- Abbie (8/5): - Friendly staff, felt safe, basic room but ideal for a short stay.

- ibikunle Vince (1/5): Horrible - Nothing.....everything was so poor, I wish I could less than 1 start rating Poor standard, I will not even give a 1 start rating. I visited the "so called hotel" on the 14th to 16th of October 2025, the room was very small, no toilet inside the room, we have to walk all the way down to have access to the toilet and shower. After the first night, the toilet wasn't cleaned. Upon checking in, we the room wasn't great, the carpet was dirty, we had just one tea cup inside the room, and have to call the manage to send another, it took them hours to get us a tea cup. After going out on 15th, we came back to the room not cleaned, and bed not laid. It was a very bad experience, I would not recommend anyone to book the "so called hotel", as it doesn't worth it. We were charge £130 for 2 nights, and the service was extremely poor. It doesn't meet the standard of an hotel, far below the stand of some Air BnB. Please DO NOT USE.

- Angus (9/5): Great Value Hotel - Comfortable room and great breakfast Quite noisy road nearby
- Karen (6/5): - I liked the self-register with a code via text.
There was no hand towel in the room. The shower doors were loose. I couldn't get hot water from the shower even though the hot tap in the sink was boiling. I wasn't too sure whether I was parking in the correct place. Door was banging all night too.
- PAUL (10/5): Embassy No1 - Don’t let the relative remoteness of the place put you off as you’re miles away from the city centre despite being on a main road. - really nice place that is as good as the reviews say it is - recommended! 😝
- Slawomir (5/5): - Receptionist was nice No soap in the bathroom and the bedsheets were dirty. I still can’t believe they haven’t changed it. Pictures attached. Absolutely disgusting.

- Vincent (9/5): Superb -
- Alan (9/5): Superb - On our day of departure we used 'Gingers Cafe' that provided an excellent breakfast . The stay at the Embassy B+B was for business purposes regarding work on a vehicle about 4 miles away. It was slightly amusing that the staff member (owner) was the diy repairman (for TV) along with being the fish frier in the local 'Chesters' Fish and Chips (superb by the way). The b+b arrangements seemed a little odd at first to us, but it was perfectly logical to not have a wc in the bedroom
- Marlena (8/5): Very good -

- Lloyd (10/5): Amazing - The woman that came outside let me in before opening times as I was stood outside and my phone died she helped me get to my room and let me pay in the morning Everything was excellent. Will deffinetly be coming back here sometime
- Eric (1/5): Bad - Nothing Old worn out furniture, lumpy bed, all the drawers were dirty inside could not use them, stains on the carpet
- Morgan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional - Fresh clean room that smelt nice. All good, just what you need for a weekend.
- Steven (7/5): good - the bed cover for the single bed were to small for the bed cause its a single bed and they just put small bedding
- Verified traveler (10/5): My stay in hull - Absolutely beautiful hotel clean friendly staff well recommended best hotel in hull
- Michael (10/5): Best hotel in hull - Re booked to stay longer
- Donna (10/5): Fantastic very chilled stay perfect little hide away - The property was brilliant very easy to access using codes to get to room where key was located with early check in, didn’t really see any staff while there but that wasn’t a bad thing was like a home from home came and went as I pleased As a cleaner myself I stripped the bed before I left duvets were heavily stained also mattress( suspected fake tan and tea) but this did not affect my stay the bedding covers and towels were pristine. Maybe an investment in the future as the hotel is well used and busy
- Wilkinson (10/5): Exceptional - Everything All good
- Nikolaj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darrall (10/5): Excellent - Excellent staff friendly couldn't do enough for you and a fish and chips shop down the road were beautiful and the staff in there was the same couldn't do enough for you so in all in all perfect
- Hilary (7/5): A pleasant stay for one night. - The staff were lovely - friendly and efficient. Nice clean bathroom. No 'real' coffee at breakfast. Dining room used as a laundry.
- Izaak (10/5): My go to place when staying in Hull - I was enjoying my stay at the Embassy hotel. Great size room, comfortable bed and great communication. Highly recommended when staying in Hull. N/A
- Ed (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning Breakfast. Clean comfortable room. Very comfy bed. Great check in procedure.
- Simon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (10/5): Cheap, clean and tidy, a good nights kip. - Clean and tidy, love the check in procedure, can book late in the afternoon, location is great, parking not a problem, brew stuff in room, comfy bed. Nothing.
- Ade (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (6/5): Didn’t expect that! - On a dark winter night this is possibly the most uninviting hotel I’ve ever stayed at but having taken a walk to the nearest fish n chip shop and spoken with the owner of the hotel ( I didn’t know it was his place) he explained the ethos behind the current set up of the hotel and its hard to see how it would work if the door locks and codes and no reception system weren’t there. Ultimately the room was comfortable and I had a good sleep plus the cooked breakfast was spot on, and the staff friendly. It’s a working man’s hotel with a good location
- Matt (8/5): Very good -
- Davies (1/5): Bad - Nothing absolute shithole, left and stopped somewhere else No staff, workman's dogs is all it is miles outside of hull which is another dump
- Brandon (6/5): my stay was average. - The Hotel was easy to find and get access to the town center, Loud music playing till gone 12am on the 2nd night vibrating the room. The bar was closed for a private function which wasn't the best, the room was a cold, (had radiator and a oil heater but was still cold. The bathroom had no paint on the ceiling and what was left was falling off and had mold in the corner. The rooms could do with updating a little (wallpaper coming away from the wall and missing in places. For it been in the middle range of pricing i feel they could do a little better. I think they could upgrade the bedding a little too, the duvet was incredibly thing especially with the room been so cold.
- Elisha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leigh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Izaak (10/5): Great value, great staff, might go to place when staying in Hull! - Great size rooms, well located for my needs, easy access with clear instructions. The staff are always great with my special requests. This is my go to place when staying in Hull. Nothing
- Colin (7/5): Good - Tv was tiny
- Gareth (8/5): Very good - Staff Lack of parking
- Jil (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sadat (8/5): Very good -
- Martyn (8/5): Cheap and cheerful - Breakfast was good and staff were friendly Breakfast not included in price
- Dave (3/5): Poor -
- Le-an (5/5): Passable - The room requires a little attention by the window, the shower was the same as my previous visit and needs looking at. Unfortunately I could hear music and voices coming from patrons downstairs, so I struggled to sleep. The shower head needs replacing. The mixer needs looking at or replacing because you can only have the temperature cold, Luke warm at best or boiling. I like a hot shower but it’s not possible in this shower.
- Kathryn (4/5): Disappointing - Good location to get to the centre easily. Unfortunately the bed in our room was really uncomfortable and you could feel the springs through the mattress. Also being next to a busy main road you can constantly hear traffic all night and the glass isn't sound proof making sleep very difficult. The room was very hot and you had to open the window for fresh air through the night.
- George (7/5): Good - . .
- Stefan (8/5): Very good - There was a little bit cold in the room.
- ShOP WiTh (10/5): - It was such a great stay with the Ladies over at the Embassy, the Owner/Management I believe was super nice and staff were impeccable 👌
.
Rooms Clean i would highly recommend.
Food and drinks excellent.
We made it after check-in just a phone call and we were able to be into our room . Thank you for such great accommodation.
