• Katelyn (8/5): This is a comfortable and affordable hotel in a central area for all essential shopping and activities. - The lobby is a nice area where you can find a cafe and bar. There was a large amount of seating as well as comfortable seating. The outdoor patio with fire pit was beautiful and fenced in from everything else with easy access from the lobby. The king room was nice and offer a couch, desk, adjustable viewing TV. Very clean facilites, elevator, and room. The shower was odd and did not have a nice flow of water. There were 2 adjustable settings but neither were comfortable. I’m not sure if it was the water pressure or if the shower head was dirty/limescale. By the time you’re done showering there’s water all over the floor because of how sporadic the water was coming out everywhere. There was also no breakfast included which would have been a nice addition.

• Michael (3/5): Worst stay at a courtyard that we have experienced. - Air conditioner didn’t work properly. Maintenance unplugged but never returned to fix. Bugs in bathroom. Bathroom towels were worn and in poor condition. Toilet periodically making noise. Facility charged us more than the booked rate and would not resolve. No follow up or resolution by staff. Noisy guests in parking lot and hallways at 2AM midweek.

It wasn’t until I threatened them with a lawsuit and amazingly they found a way to get back to the venue but that was after I spent $40 on an Uber. The hotel was nice but extremely noisy with the highway right next door. If you build a hotel next to a highway you should sound proof your property!!

• James (2/5): - The door to my room was loose, when pushing on the door from the outside it would move enough for someone to easily break in. The toilet seat did not stay up. The walls in the bathroom were disgusting. One elevator was out of service and the other was on its way out, every time I was in the elevator another guest would point it out as well. For a fairly new property this place looks sad. I’ll stick to the Hilton across the street going forward.

• joaneP8685FO (4/5): No free parking - The trip advisor site says there is free parking at the Courtyard in Southington CT. They charge $3.00 and list it as a FEE on the bill. Additionally you are charged the same state and local “occupancy tax “ on the FEE!!! $3. 45 additional for me to occupy my room and not occupy my car. Ridiculous!!! Park 40 ft away at Popeyes in this strip mall and walk to the Courtyard. Nothing but a money grab. Also, if you want it cooler than 75 in your room you are out of luck as the thermostat can be set to 67 but they must have an override on it. Nothing here for a lifetime platinum member except the 500 pts they offer at ck in. No breakfast, free lounge, upgrade etc.
• Edward (4/5): - 1. I was overcharged $120 above the rate quoted by expedia. It was corrected only after I complained. 2. The check-in process took over 40 minutes. 3. I was charged an additional $3 per day for the Bistro which we used once to buy two cups of coffee for $12. Was never informed about this additional charge by either Expedia or Marriott. 3. Both elevators made loud scraping sounds when ascending/descending. They are apparently in need of servicing and questionably unsafe. 4. We spent 5 days. our room was serviced once. 5. The only plus was that the Hotel was relatively clean 6. This 2 star rating is generous. I might have given a 3 if they had a pool.
• RAK1974 (8/5): Quick Stay - We stayed at this hotel for one night, because we were in town for a wedding. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The microwave and refrigerator definitely came in handy. There are plenty of parking spots, but they charge $3 to park your car. The gym had several treadmills, no machines and only a few dumbbells. Overall, a good stay.

• Ron (8/5): - This is a very pleasant property. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Beds are very comfortable. Overall rooms are clean and well-maintained. My only complaint is that the shower floor felt a bit slimy and the glass shower partition needed cleaning from soap scum. The bistro and bar are a plus with ample room in the lobby for seating. I have stayed here on several occasions and will continue to stay here when in the area.

• B5089ICmartinm (10/5): Nice Cozy Holiday Stay. - Visited over Thanksgiving. Staff was so nice and engaging. Room was clean and quietly comfortable. Fridge, microwave, RV and pullout sofa as well. Lobby bar, coffee bar and fire pit in an outside patio. Great location close to shopping, restaurants, right off I-84. Nice property.

• MrOcho (8/5): The Wedding Was Good but Not the Shower - This was my first time staying at this location but not this Marriott brand hotel. The hotel is the typical Courtyard décor in the lobby and in the rooms. It is modern, functional and not ornate. The vibe was positive. There is parking all around the building, with limited spaces in front. Access to the hotel is available from the front, rear and sides. We did not use the exercise room but it looked bigger than I would have expected. It was the first time I have seen no headboard with the bed, instead they had sheet covered wall pads. What I Liked: - The room was clean and spacious, and included a couch and desk - They allowed the wedding family to host receptions in the lobby and in the meeting room - It was easy to access the hotel from the highway - The shower area had wall mounted body wash, cream rinse and shampoo dispensers - There are plenty of different light switches and options for bright to low lighting - The two elevators worked well - The Bistro Boss behind the bar was very engaging and professional What I Did Not Like - They have a new shower design that does not include a tub or a door. The shower head is at the end of the shower where you enter, however, without a door on the shower, you get a chill. - The bathroom sink is higher than a traditional sink height - The hallways were very warm - The bathroom door would open fully unless it was shut completely - The toilet height was low and the AC unit was noisy - The chicken sandwiches at the Bistro were not very good and the coated fries were salty - Entry from the rear parking lot was not obvious - They have readily available The Epoch Times in the lobby however, I have always been a fan of USA Today
• Andrea (2/5): - We stayed 3 nights for a wedding and appreciated the convenient location for the ceremonies and parties, but some of the front desk service left a lot to be desired. One of the most frustrating things about staying in modern hotels is that they don’t behave like hotels anymore. Cleaning your room? Nope. We asked for cleaning and they first said nope sorry, every other day. Well, ok. We called again the third afternoon to ask why it hadn’t happened and then they said every 3 days. We paid like $700 and never had a clean room. Super disappointing. This is NOT up to Marriott standards.

Room was in need of rehab and bathroom repairs. To be avoided. Too close to noisy interstate. Nearby coffee shop only saving grace.

• Angela (8/5): Smaller then featured in description - Modern hotel with basic amenities. The "pull out sofa" was a micro-couch that converted to a twin bed. Refrigerator smaller then dorm size and wouldnt accommodate take-home food containers (few bottles of water only). Room appeared clean, but side of bed were remnants from food packaging from prior occupants, which gave us impression room hadnt been thoroughly cleaned.

Otherwise it was the perfect hotel and location. Best Courtyard i have ever stayed at. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again regardless of the room rate charged.
