Our room was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully presented, and the whole place has that relaxed country feel that’s hard to find. The food was excellent — hearty, fresh, and exactly what you hope for after a day exploring the area.
A lovely place to stay, and we’d happily return.

- Judy (8/5): -
- Elaine (8/5): An unique experience. - Town center location, bar/restaurant is downstairs. The place is like a living museum piece, giving guests a taste of what a country hotel looks and feels like. For that experience, I am happy to let go some of the "creature comforts .” Some of the basic appliances like kettle, microwave oven can be found in the common area. Squeaky doors and floor.
- Mark (10/5): - Hosts were great, room was modern with everything you needed. The common area for breakfast was great. Had the fish for dinner, very good. Bonus was the platypus walk in the evening and we saw 2. Beware of Jarvo, likes to tell a story or 3 😅

- Chris (10/5): - Location and atmosphere of the hotel.Plus all day breakfast area a lovely idea, way better than some of the other types of accommodation! The stairs!
- Wayne (9/5): Always a pleasure staying here. -
- David (10/5): Great flexibility with check in, fantastic staff. - Quirky and historic Nothing
- Sarah (9/5): Friendly, welcoming and warm place to stay. Food was excellent definitely recommend! - Lovely atmosphere, fantastic staff, quirky place, great facilities. Prime location. Our room was a little small for us, owner agreed but all bigger rooms taken.

Light breakfast available as part of stay which was nice. Very nice newly renovated shower & toilet in the room. Tv reception was not working properly for several channels.
- Richard (9/5): -
- Williams (9/5): - Great value for money.

- QIHAN (10/5): 位置好,早餐不錯 - 從這裡到搖籃山大約一個半小時,是不錯的歇腳地方,賓館提供自助早餐和18:15的免費鴨嘴獸導覽,好評

- Meredith (10/5): -
- Katie (10/5): Fantastic little hotel in a brilliant location in the middle of everywhere you want to get to - As other reviews have said, the staff are absolutely fantastic.
The hotel is much nicer than I thought it would be from the pictures, super quaint.
A special shout out to the restaurant! Open late and brilliant food at a reasonable price. Snacks and deserts available which was great.
I even stopped by for something to eat when I was passing through a few days later and saw a sign for a guided platypus walk which I decided to join and the owner was amazing in helping us spot the platypus and telling us all the crazy facts about such an incredible little animal. Single bed not too comfy but didn't detract from an otherwise excellent stay
- Colleen (10/5): Beautiful old building and great value for money. - Loved the ambience and location. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Kurt (10/5): Would stay here again. - Good location, clean room and facilities.
Cheap drinks in the bar downstairs.
- Jacqueline (9/5): - All good, parking, huge bathroom, friendly and great location
- Kerry (7/5): Good. Would stay again. - Left too early. Too many stairs.
- Lorna (8/5): -
- Wenessa (9/5): - Very nice place, with a small breakfast but more than enough. Room and bathroom clean. Very nice and quiet.
- Jackie (10/5): Great stay, would come again. - Could open the windows and let in the fresh air. Also the owner greeted us so nicely and made sure we could store our bikes safely. Also a gorgeous old building maintained well. Maybe a few more breakfast options?
- Toni (8/5): - The room, though quite old, was very clean and comfortable. It was spacious, quiet and had everything we needed. We were within walking distance of everything, with parking behind the building. Nothing
- Susan (8/5): Value for money and friendly staff but a bit noisy if the bar is busy. - The staff, food and dining/TV room were excellent. The room was clean and safe. My room didn’t have a window. Also the the music from the bar was pretty loud and the lovely polished floors were also loud as guests came home. To be fair the price was good and it was a traditional old pub so if I wanted fancy I should have paid more. I think the nicest part were the staff who were consistently friendly and helpful.
- Kathy (7/5): -
- Sally (10/5): -
- Trevor (10/5): Enjoyed my stay, everyone so pleasant and helpful - Good position, helpful friendly staff, excellent food in the restaurant Nothing
- Lucy (10/5): Great town and well positioned in town - It was great. Would have preferred not to have to leave our room for the bathroom . But other than that everything was perfect
- Kelvin (9/5): Recommend it for a good value stop over in middle of town. Comfortable with good bar and food on site - Great location, excellent old style hotel. Good value. Bar was fun food was great Nothing was all fine
- David (10/5): - Great hosts, fantastic food. Nothing
- Caroline (9/5): -
- Jordan (10/5): - Had such a nice one nighter here. Loved the old but well looked after building, bed was comfy, bathroom spacious and warm, big windows with lots of natural light and fresh air, yummy complimentary breakfast which is available at all hours (great for a late night snack haha) and finally the food and drink available downstairs was delicious and came with friendly and warm service. Great place to stay in Deloraine and enjoy the town.
- Leanne (9/5): Great Location. Easy access to everything. Walk to river. - The breakfast was self service in dining room. Toast cereal. Yogurt tea coffee. Fruit.
- paul (8/5): -
- Bettina (7/5): saubere Zimmer, nett eingerichtet, - Boutique Hotel Recht laut, da die alten Fenster nicht isoliert sind
- Joe (9/5): Friendly, a great location , clean room and great service - thank you !! - Great stay - hotel in great location , I stayed here just prior to hiking the Walls of Jerusalem - a perfect launch point . Room was clean and quiet.
Great service from hotel staff ( Amanda ) who sent back to my home an item I had left in the room .
- Michael (10/5): Deloraine quiet retreat - Central to town with great friendly staff and really clean. Has great character and a great breakfast room. Everything perfect
- Margaret (9/5): Warm friendly place to stay! - The Empire Hotel is located on the main street in Deloraine, handy to everything.
The restaurant meals were very enjoyable and the owners were friendly.
There is a seperate lounge for guests to enjoy and a good continental breakfast provided.
A nice old fashioned pub with a warm atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fairly steepstaircase but managable.
- Lim (8/5): well run and comfortable! - convenient good enough
- Christine (10/5): -
- Tanea (9/5): Nice friendly and clean heritage hotel. - Very convenient location, right in the heart of town. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Shower was amazing as it was enormous. Breakfast was serve yourself and there was a good variety of continental breakfast items. Staff were helpful. Our room was on the top floor and required us to carry our gear up a flight of stairs. Being a heritage building there was no lift. It didn't really bother us but if you had mobility issues it might be a good idea to ask for a room on the lower floor.
