- harshitk992 (10/5): Luxury Experience - The Langley is a beautiful property with excellent facilities and a very welcoming atmosphere. The service is attentive and professional, and the overall experience is thoughtfully delivered from start to finish.
A great destination for anyone looking for quality, comfort, and a relaxing experience.

- 349cheskal (4/5): Skip. Bad value for money. - I’m a long time Marriott loyalist and have stayed at many properties around the world. I’ve been wanting to stay here for the longest time and when I received my annual free night from my Bonvoy credit card, I knew this was the perfect opportunity. Upon arrival, I felt I would certainly not pay to stay here and you can find better value for money elsewhere if you were to pay out of pocket. My 2 biggest issues are facilities and staff.
On Facilities -
Although the property itself is pretty, the decor is somewhat cheap looking and lacks the character of competing countryside retreats. The facilities are also quite poorly maintained.
On Staff -
You will find much friendlier staff at even at even a Four Points Flex by Sheraton property. Everyone I encountered did not seem they had the proper training in delivering luxury level service.
1. The front desk gentleman who checked me in and showed me to my room had bizarre small talk. I simply asked whether him and the rest of the team live in the nearby village and he proceeds to tell me that all staff members have cars that make it “look like they work here.” All staff members are apparently coming to work in Mercedes and Porches. I don’t know why the need to mention this but aside from that the guy had no care at all about me the client who was visibly exhausted traveling 14 hours.
2. The spa receptionist was on the phone for a good time without even acknowledging me and no offer to show me around the facilities too, which by the way had towels and trash all over for it being barely empty. The cleaning staff also seemed to not care or acknowledge your presence.
3. The F&B staff was something else. I was so tired all I wanted was to takeaway food. I should’ve just ordered Uber Eats. The gentleman taking me order didn’t even give me the full menu and I had to ask him twice for the dessert and beverage menu. He asked me multiple times if I wanted takeaway, which is strange. He then proceeds to hand me someone else’s check. FYI the restaurant barely had 5 occupied tables. Then he proceeds to serve me the food! And when I said I wanted takeaway he said he forgot and didn’t know what to do and just handed me the dishes to take with me! He then calls his colleague and asks him to bring my food to my room after making me wait all this time for takeway. When the food gets to my room obviously the ice cream is melted and my dish cold. The waiter delivering my food then says “i want the tray back.” I asked if he wanted it back now and he says later. Did he think I was going to run off with the tray which by the way was a ratty piece of cardboard with a placemat stapled to it.
- averynadia (2/5): Racist vile staff- avoid this hotel!!! - Disgraceful racist hotel - a white Eastern European female staff sent my daughter her nanna and uncle who is Downes syndrome and autistic away from the petting animals and treated them utter rudeness and disrespect. They then moved away to the lawn to the grounds to the water lake where they were by the ducks so she called security on them and lied that they had jumped over a fence and not visiting the hotel which was absolutely false when they had been there as paying guests with a member and there for lunch. She even lied and falsely accused them of not having paid the food bill - my mum had spent £80 on lunch and they were simply enjoying the grounds. Without even listening to anything the security created a spectacle with radio and as if they’re criminals they were then ushered them off the grounds. They refused to even listen to my mother and she was escorted off with my child and disabled uncle and humiliated! No white people there were treated this way this was blatant discrimination and racist! Disgraceful I am absolutely furious I have never in my life heard of such, my daughter came back so upset in tears and mother distraught - my uncle was left distressed for rest of the day he is severely special needs. Disgusting discrimination to child and grandparent and someone Disabled - we have been regularly giving business to this shameful hotel - I’ve stayed here, relative has club membership and we have given years of business to The Langley. They refused to listen to my mother and humiliated her when later realised they had been caught out in thier false accusations and acknowledge that my mother had paid - and gave her a half apology - not good enough! I was going to join membership this year with my daughter for membership too but I will now be telling everyone to stay clear and taking legal action. I came home to a shaken up family what was supposed to a joyful Sunday out for them - absolutely vile staff! Do not deserve the 5 stars on any level I will be taking this further and absolutely not accepting my family to be bullied and abused as such.
- Nomad64136627182 (10/5): An Unforgettable 40th Birthday — Exceptional in Every Way - I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at The Langley, and I can honestly say it was one of the most special and memorable experiences I’ve ever had.
From the moment I arrived, the level of care, attention, and genuine warmth from the team was extraordinary. This is not just luxury, this is intentional hospitality.
Karena led the front desk with such grace and professionalism, and Willow was incredibly attentive throughout. Both made me feel truly welcomed.
Fatima gave a beautiful and thoughtful tour of the spa and gym facilities, setting the tone for what would become a deeply restorative stay. I even found a quiet moment to pray during my visit. I was so moved by how grand and peaceful the space is.
Praz in the gym was exceptional. Warm, attentive, and genuinely present. You can feel when someone loves what they do, and it shows.
Kelly gave me one of the most enjoyable pedicures I’ve ever had !! Not only was the service flawless, but her energy was uplifting, kind, and full of joy. I left feeling completely refreshed (and smiling!).
One thing that meant a great deal to me, I felt safe and at ease throughout my treatments. As someone who is quite particular about personal space, this did not go unnoticed. The team carries a gentle and respectful presence.
Dinner was equally special. Gomez and Ellie made me feel so comfortable as a solo diner, which is rare and the tiramisu was absolutely delightful.
A special mention to Alex at evening reception, who kindly shared the history of the hotel with me and took the most beautiful birthday photos — such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more memorable.
Paulo, thanks for taking me through the incredible cigar collection! Found the perfect gift for an incredible friend!
Every single person I encountered contributed to making my birthday feel incredibly special. That level of consistency is rare.
The Langley is not just a beautiful hotel, it is an experience, led by a team who truly care.
I cannot wait to return, to experience this hospitality again!
Thank you again for everything.

- 26Traveler14 (6/5): Not worth the price or hype - hugely disappointing and not a Luxury Collection - I just finished a three-night stay at the Langley and I must say (and regrettably so), it was a disappointment. It simply does not warrant merit the price or the Luxury Collection Brand. I have listed the pros and cons below in detail, but do want to pay special shout out to Jana at Reception who was lovely upon check in. My overall impression is that the owners are trying to run this place on the cheap by avoiding critical maintenance, hiring poorly suited and trained staff, and not adopting much cheaper materials / facilities than warranted at a property of this nature. This is a shame given the building itself is beautiful and could be a gorgeous destination. We will not be back to this property and recommend against visiting. It is simply massively overpriced and over hyped as reflected in its quickly eroding Trip Advisor rating.
Pros:
- The property is absolutely beautiful, as is the adjacent park. We really enjoyed several picturesque country walks.
- The building itself is also beautiful and generally well kept. That said, the décor was more mass market and less custom 5-star than I expected.
- The spa treatment and relaxation rooms were excellent, there was not the breadth of complimentary refreshments / snacks in the relaxation room that I have experienced at other Luxury Collection Properties.
- We were offered a complimentary upgrade upon arrival due to my Platinum Elite status.
Cons:
- The food is simply not good enough and perhaps the biggest disappointment:
o the Churchill Lounge / Bar food is borderline unacceptable; flavourless, poorly cooked, and unsophisticated. The carrot ginger soup was tasteless, and they used brown/black avocado in our salmon tartar – simply unacceptable at a Luxury Collection property. Our pizzas arrived stone cold.
o Our dinner at the Cedar was disappointing: the burrata dish was tasteless and lacked complexity, and the beef wellington was extremely salty. The menu did not mention that the wellington beef was braised, which again is a detail you’d expect at this property. 2/3 of our breakfasts at the Cedar were enjoyable. We experienced severely undercooked eggs on our first morning.
o Room service was atrocious: our food and drink arrived uncovered (no heating dome, etc) on a tray without salt and pepper or anything, and with only one set of cutlery and napkin. The Cesar salad was awful – dressing unevenly applied – some leaves of lettuce had no dressing while others were completely covered.
o The afternoon tea was fine – sweat treats where nice but the sandwiches are very light on filling.
- The service (beyond Lana) was simply atrocious. In general, there is a serious lack of attention to finer details / practices and almost all staff clearly do not have experience in a higher end environment. For example:
o Every single night after 11PM, staff would dump a massive amount of glass bottles into a recycling bin outside the property, directly under our window. This created a loud “crashing” noise that woke my partner twice.
o At breakfast, our coffee orders were forgotten about multiple times.
o One morning, there was a loud fight in the kitchen between staff that lasted more than 5 minutes. Guests in the dining room could hear staff yelling and swearing at each other – again not acceptable.
o There is no bell/door man when you arrive, meaning you have to carry your own luggage up the stairs (stairs, not steps) up to the reception. This could be very difficult for an elderly couple with large suitcases. I’ve never experienced this at other Luxury Collection properties or frankly any other high-end properties.
o We reserved the racquet court because we were told we could play pickle ball or tennis. On our second day, we were told we couldn’t play pickle ball because the staff member responsible for erecting the net was not present. On our third day, I offered to erect the net myself, only to find out when doing so that the net was not a pickleball net, but rather a kid’s beginner tennis net. It was 4-5 feet too small for the pickleball courts and also too short.
- Other Issues
o The spa thermal facilities were likely nice at one time, but have not been looked after properly. The jets on the hot tub were not working, and the entire facility lacked cleanliness. There was flooding throughout the changing room floors and throughout the spa area (which creates hygiene issues), and the steps into the hot tub are visibly dirty.
o The tennis / pickle ball court is painted asphalt, which absolutely destroyed by shoes. Again, at a 5-star property you expect property hard tennis courts.
In closing, Marriot needs to revoke this property's Luxury Collection label because it is misleading to customers. I have been to several other similiar properties that are Autograph Collection and far exceed the Langley. For example, Mount Juliet in Kilkenny Ireland is an Autograph Collection but is far superior to the Langley

- FourCultures (10/5): Luxury champagne afternoon tea - We celebrated Mother’s Day as a family with a champagne afternoon tea in a beautiful, luxury setting. The décor is elegant, the food delicious, and the cakes are truly exceptional in both quality and presentation. Service from the team was superb attentive, warm, and made the whole experience feel special.

- TheAdamsFamily286 (10/5): A Wonderful Treat - Champagne Afternoon Tea. It was excellent & thoroughly enjoyable.A gift from family. We even had a visit from the Chef who kindly shared a baking tip with us. The lovely Lady on reception ( she had head covering) made sure that my wife could be helped out through a lift to the ground floor saving her trying to descend the stairs she used on arrival. So kind. Thank you.
We have had Dinner here but first time for Afternoon tea. We had to bring some food home as we were too full. It was packaged up so beautifully as to preserve the delicate treats. All in all wonderful.
- Hadrien (7/5): - Good comfort. The staff said the restaurant was full, we had to go at 18:30. The restaurant was completely empty the whole evening.
Value for money is bad overall. About 30% too expensive for the offer, especially in the winter.
- Bobby (3/5): - I pre paid for the room and was told I had been upgraded (for free) to a room that I could not walk around in without banging my head. The room I booked did not have a low roof. I was then charged a random service fee which surprisingly took the cost to the same as the free up grade online.
This was in no way an upgrade to the room I booked a lady came out and told me I had been upgraded to a suit but I booked and paid for a suit. Very poor
- sharonbJ8377NP (6/5): Would not stay at the Langley again - The Langley is a beautiful hotel set in magnificent grounds. Although our suite was very cold and although reporting to reception twice who said it would be regulated remotely it stayed cold through our stay. However the room was beautiful with stunning views.
I paid in full a week in advance for the New Year’s Eve package for myself and hubby. A day before we were due to visit ,the full amount was deducted again from my account. I contacted the hotel and after explaining I had already paid I was told this second large amount was done by the night staff and would be returned into my account, which it was the same morning.
I e mailed David in reservations who had done the original reservation to complain but had no response.
On check out we were given a bill of over £700. I disputed this as the only bill we should have had would be for a few drinks from the night before and reception had taken a pre authorisation of £200 from my husbands card on arrival to cover these expenses. I repeatedly told reception this was incorrect, however for some reason they could not grasp this and clearly did not know what to do. I was then presented with a revised bill, twice, for roughly the same amount. The unprofessionalism of the reception staff was unbelievable and eventually they got someone else to deal with it and we had possibly the correct bill. This delayed us for around 40 minutes while they sorted it and finally we left the hotel.
The next morning my husband had had £700 taken from his account by the hotel. I emailed the manager detailing the whole situation from start to finish. He replied that morning by e mail to apologise and get it sorted within 72 hours. I phoned the hotel and told them I was not prepared wait 72 hours and would like this money credited to my husbands account asap. The final bill he came up with was again , different to the final bill reception presented and his bill was slightly more !
I e mailed them to say I also want the exorbitant service charges refunded.
I have since been passed onto another member of staff who is now dealing with this and today some of the monies has been refunded to my husbands account and hopefully rest to follow very shortly.
The incompetence of some of the staff was totally unprofessional and quite astounding.
Never have we experienced anything like this st any hotel before and for a 5 star Marriott was totally unacceptable
- S9OOX (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were excellent. The hotel was immaculate.
The prices were high but you do get what you pay for ! I thought everything was very good.
- Tom (10/5): Very good, lovely area, only reason I wouldn’t go back is because I’ve done it but would recommend to others - Spa was nice, was very quiet so we had it to ourselves pretty much which was good, wouldn’t of liked it if it was busy would of felt small Little bit on the small side, spend £1000 and we didn’t drink any alcohol.. if you include dinner and breakfast etc
- roland (10/5): -
- roland (9/5): -
- Charlie (7/5): - Luxurious property and great facilities particularly the restaurant and the spa I paid for a Deluxe King Room but it was much smaller than expected and not as big as the pictures suggested online. It also didn’t have a bath which was advertised. I don’t think there is much difference at all between a Classic Room and a Deluxe, so I wouldn’t bother with it if I stay again.
- 758wk (2/5): Disappointing stay ended with non-acceptance of gift card - Beautiful hotel set in fabulous grounds but, to me, the luxury experience should always be paired with welcoming, friendly staff. With the notable exception of a wonderful waiter in the Churchill bar, service during our stay was delivered with icy indifference. The final 'insult to injury' was being told upon check-out that a £500 gift card my husband had purchased in good faith and had intended to use towards our one-night stay en route to Heathrow (£811 for one night, excluding dinner) had expired. He’d bought the gift card by placing a direct phone call from our home in Canada to The Langley. No one told him he was being put through to a third party nor that The Langley gift cards are only valid for one year (in Canada cards don't usually expire). Of note, Marriott Bonvoy's own gift cards also never expire so it begs the question as to why The Langley, as part of the Marriott's international 'Luxury Collection' has failed to fall into line. The front desk manager showed no inclination to understand how this unexpected news might be received but simply handed back the paperwork without so much as an “I’m sorry to tell you this but …” Given our already damning opinion of hotel staff by this time, that final and unnecessarily haughty display, void of human emotion, felt like a slap in the face.
For over two months I've been trying to recoup our £500 but to date, neither The Langley nor Marriott Bonvoy will assist, even though a) the gift card was purchased via a direct phone call to the hotel and b) no one during the time of purchase mentioned a key condition of the card, i.e., an unusually short expiry date. As it stands, we paid £1,311 for a sub-standard, one-night stay. Sad that a hotel blessed with such palatial advantage is ruining the brand through lack of commitment to genuine customer care.
- Craig (10/5): - Greeted by friendly smiling attentive staff .
Everything about the stay was outstanding.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Thanks to all the Langley team

- antoniodepompa97 (10/5): 100% must stay near London & Windsor! A Splendid end to an Amazing Trip - Just recently returned from a stay at The Langley. First off the hotel is a hidden gem with Langley Park and extremely secure; with a security checkpoint just outside the property with a by name list of all expected guests. Check-in went extremely well. We booked through AMEX FHR and also had Marriott Titanium Elite Status. We every upgraded to the Seymour Suite. We arrived at the property early and the staff had no issues holding onto our luggage while we went out to explore Windsor Castle (about a 20 minute drive south). Once we returned we received a tour of the property from Sam on the front desk team and our room which was lovely - everything you expect an English Countryside Manor to be.
The Afternoon Tea was delightful and we thought it was even better than Claridges in London. Cocktails at the Churchill bar were also quite nice. We also ordered room service which came extremely quick and the food was delicious.
We did have a minor hiccup due to a mixup in communication for preordering a room enhancement upon arrival. However upon notification, the staff went above and beyond, wiping all charges and immediately providing a bottle of Champagne and chocolate truffles with a handwritten note for the inconvenience.
Other than that minor discrepancy, everything at the property was superb and we cannot wait to return. Would highly recommend booking if traveling to London for an idealic countryside escape for at least a night or two!
- juancarlosdG7235LE (2/5): Be careful with the bill! Don’t take kids! - Beautiful place, but shockingly poor management — worst service I’ve experienced at a luxury hotel
This property is absolutely stunning, but it’s managed terribly. I have honestly never experienced worse service in a luxury hotel. It’s not family-friendly at all, and they clearly dislike guests with children — the staff were invasive and openly rude throughout our stay.
I’m a Platinum Bonvoy member, so I know what to expect at high-end hotels. Through the app, they take over three hours to reply to messages, if they answer at all. Room service arrived cold, and one day they brought the wrong order entirely.
⚠️ Be extremely careful with check-out. The experience here is nothing like what you’d find at a Ritz, St. Regis, or Four Seasons. There were repeated attempts to double charge me. It took over an hour to fix the bill: every time they removed a duplicate charge, the system would add new service fees automatically — it felt like a setup to overcharge guests. My total went from £3,000 down to £1,200 after removing duplicate charges and automatic “tips” they’d added just for breakfast service or greetings.
They also have ponies on the property. Upon arrival, a lady told us, in front of my 2- and 4-year-old children, that “badly behaved kids” had fed them and killed one pony, and the other was very sick. I found the comment completely inappropriate. The next day, another staff member explained that the ponies are actually allergic to certain acorns from a nearby tree (they even showed me which one), and that’s why they installed the electric fence — the story I’d been told at the lobby wasn’t true at all.
🧾 Check every bill carefully. They charged one of my bills three times. The manager eventually fixed it after finding unsigned tickets they had to manually remove. They asked me not to report it and to keep the incorrect statements. When I refused, they deleted my entire 5-night stay from the system and reported to Bonvoy that we never stayed there. Once I returned home and saw the nights weren’t credited, I filed a report. Mistakes happen, but this wasn’t a mistake — this was dishonest, and ultimately theft from both the owner and the guests.
The only good people where Paul and the bartender at the Winston Churchill Room — she makes incredible drinks and was genuinely kind, as well the cleaning lady.

- MattG (10/5): Exceptional hotel with staff who go above and beyond. - Beautiful property and fantastic staff. From the lady at the check-in desk to the concierge who gave us a tour and showed us to our suite, every member of their team went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and that they were aware that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Nothing.
- Guide09265917118 (2/5): Shocking and Intimidating Experience - We've had afternoon tea several times here and a few family dinners. Yesterday we were walking past in the park with friends admiring the building when a security guard suddenly appeared, standing right in front of us aggressively, blocked our path and told us to move on as the hotel accepted private bookings only. None of it made sense as we were simply standing outside the grounds reminiscing on how lovely the hotel was. The guard was rude and intimidating and it was shocking to be spoken to in this way by someone lacking customer service skills and urgently in need of training.
- John (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful Nothing
- Kathy (6/5): - Did not like the room in the brew house. The beds are tiny and uncomfortable. Room was dark, opened to a small patio with a high brick wall Very claustrophobic. The property itself was beautiful. I'm sure the main hotel rooms were nice.
- Alex (10/5): Opulent and luxurious - Amazing spa and outdoor pool
- Georgina (9/5): Stunning location, beautiful hotel and perfect parent night off! - The amenities were amazing, the room was stunning and we even took some bikes out for an evening ride! Staff were making great efforts to serve a famous person whilst everyone else got ignored
- ameliashiner (10/5): - Fabulous hotel in every respect.
Had the most fantastic stay. The staff are attentive and professional, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the facilities are clean and excellent.
Perhaps the only let down was the breakfast andthe main Cedar restaurant.
However, would most definitely return
- torosearching (10/5): Nice hotel - Stayed here twice in a short span of 3 weeks - both times in the Brewhouse. Rooms are decent sized and fairly well set up, with modern furnishing and various lighting options that help to moderate the lighting. On both occasions service was prompt and welcoming.
Grounds are quite beautiful though not as large as other “countryside” hotels. For those with kids they have a playground and some pet goats.
Location wise it is close to Heathrow and also not far from wonderful restaurants in Bray / Maidenhead as well as Windsor (all within 15-20 min drive).
Overall I had good stays on both occasions though it is slightly expensive for what it is.
- U529TPbenj (6/5): Disappointing at a high price - Overpriced for what is on offer particularly our twin room which was in an outbuilding and very small and furnishing aside on a par with a Premier Inn, The service was a little off hand too although dinner was good it was also at a price
I am well aware high quality hotels and dining cost money but with that comes an expectation and this hotel didn’t deliver at all
- Greg (7/5): -
- Anastasiia (9/5): Superb -
- adamcH6263QB (8/5): Lovely place but their hidden snide extra charges are vulgar. - Lovely place. Really lovely place. Probably the best hotel room I've ever stayed in and the staff are wonderful. Honestly can't fault it and I would have loved to go back but ...
When we were at dinner, someone went in our room and did a turn down service. We came back and thought "oh that's a nice touch" but when we checked out we were given a bill for £56.
£56 for someone to come in and dim the lights and make the bed. That we didn't ask for. And that we weren't told about.
For £1400 a night, the turndown service should be included.
It's wrong of them to impose this service and the charge upon guests. If I knew it would cost £56 I would have just made my bed and dimmed my lights myself.
I have a £2k budget for my birthday next month and I was going to come back to The Langley, but throwing hidden charges at guests is disgusting behaviour so I'll spend that money at some place that has morals.
Hope that £56 made you so so happy 😘
- A3915MFfrancoised (10/5): 5 stars 🌟 experience for our afternoon tea - Stunning!!!!!
We went for afternoon tea. It was honestly the best afternoon tea we have ever had. Beat the Ritz, Cliveden, Dawnsfield etc.... by a mile. All of the staff were very welcoming and very attentive. The food was full of flavour and very light. The grounds are stunning. Just an amazing experience.
- O2124XLlewism (10/5): Would Visit again - checked in a short notice. Was greeted by a gentleman called Paulo, really helpful and showed bus around the hotel an couldn't do enough to help us. I was a bit disappointed at the end to be paying for all types of services charges; Tray charge, accommodation charge, room service charge.
I personally would rather them just factor this into the price rather than surprise charge at the end. That is the only disappointment, everything else was perfect. Rooms were immaculate would visit again.
- David (6/5): Having stayed here a few times I doubt we will be going back - Very disappointed that they put service charges onto everything unless we complained, even on the included breakfast and the room!
- paulnG8138CR (10/5): Excellent service with beautiful grounds - A very nice interesting property. Service was outstanding as was the food. Staff was always ready to assist. The grounds are lovely, great place to relax and go for a walk. Very close to LHR. Rooms very well appointed but one has to be "careful" on the location in the main building: some can be too close to the outside restaurant/bar (noisy) or not too many windows. Overall, a great place which we plan to return.
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- ToriBucks (2/5): Very very disappointing - Really not up to par for what’s advertised as super 5*!
Had to change rooms in archival because ours was smoked out from the kitchen.
The suite was nice and generally well appointed but still issues! Notably the hairdryer was missing the safety filter on the back so i caught up and burnt off a huge chunk of my hair. Turn down service came early and when asked to come back later, didn’t.
The room was generally noisy and I was particularly miffed at being woken up 08:10 by staff loading their trolley outside the door for 15 mins having a chat and bashing about. Why store toiletries in a cabinet outside one of your best suites is beyond me!
There was no way to know about breakfast and when we called down to reception late after supper they said they would take an order but couldn’t tell us what our options were. Ended up paying a £30 ish for one coffee and some cold mini pastries.
Spa changing facilities are very impressive BUT having been in them once we didn’t go back. Both the pool & jacuzzi were full of dirt and sand and no explanation from staff when asked.
Massages very average at best. Lots of equipment in the pool area didn’t work.
Plus sides… resturant is great. Bar was good. Built environment impressive.
Service needs serious attention.
We were told a manager would be in contact, 3 weeks later, nothing.
- Michelle (10/5): - Beautiful estate in the counrty. Loved the suites and overall feel of coutry estate experince. Staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Would love to come back and stay next time we are in London.
- roro3i (10/5): Beautiful room and friendly staff - Booked 2 rooms with them and we were in the Brewhouse which was so awesome and pretty and even had a private outdoor heated seating area for each room. One room was 2 twins, accessible shower. The second room was a King, with a tub. The tub was super nice when my mom's feet were in so much pain from walking at Harry Potter Studio tour the previous day, she didn't even want to walk to the spa (about a 5-7 min walk). Instead she used the tub as a foot bath.... keep in mind the bath didn't have a grab bar, so she was hesitant to take a full bath because it was really deep. We had lunch at the Drawing Room one of the days which was really good. The spa facilities were never packed when we were there. The indoor pool, jacuzzi, thermal beds, steam room, sauna are all included. They also have lockers, bathroom, showers and hair dryers there. Highly recommend this hotel and the spa!
- Sacha (10/5): Exceptional - Location

- oliverpQ2832NW (8/5): Nice stay - Reception staff/Spa Staff: 5 stars
Grounds: 5 star
Spa: 5 star
Room: 5 star
Dinner: 4 stars
Breakfast: 1 Star
As above, the princess Marlborough suite was excellent. Cigar selection decent. Your nice and remote and feels like your in a little countryside bubble .
Don’t eat breakfast.
- ademx2025 (8/5): Very nice :D - Been coming once every year since 2022 and I can just say that it is a great hotel, the spa along with the swimming pool and other institutes such as the gym were fantastic. The staff were kind and ready to lend their services at any required team. The walks around the hotel are also very nice, the nature is beautiful. The hotel rooms are 5 out of 5, super clean. They are also comfortable and the designing is top notch! Only reason why I have not put this 5 stars is that it is to a slight extent a bit overpriced but the quality of the place outweighs that.

- 234victorb (10/5): Best stay close to London - Fantastic experience from start to finish. Friendly and anticipating staff. By far the best place in the area. It has everything you need for a stay as a couple or family. Stunning gym (real gym) and spa - biggest underground spa in Europe. Cant wait to come back in the spring to try the outdoor pool and tennis facilities. We did not test the cinema room, something else to check out.
- Z6373KOrubyc (2/5): The Worst Customer Service. Heartbroken! - The RUDEST front of house staff we have EVER experienced. I seriously feel people need to second guess whether or not the hospitality service is for them. I am 37 weeks pregnant and due to reconstruction at our home my husband and I wanted to book the largest suite at the hotel for a week for the first week of our son's life to rest whilst our home was being completed. I'm not sure if it's because we don't meet the ethnic profile of their usual clientele but they wouldn't even let us get past security. The nonchalant and rude tone taken even left the security guard apologising on the Managers behalf. So upset and humiliated and hurt that we are still facing this level of low regard in 2025. I really wish I had recorded the interaction it would have gone viral showcasing the preduice and lack of compassionate service some niche, traditional luxury hotels still uphold.
Heartbroken.
- 601karenc (10/5): Wonderful, luxury stay - I cannot fault this hotel at all, our stay was fabulous. My husband booked it as a birthday treat and even though we don't live far we had never heard of the Langley before. As soon as we pulled up outside the hotel the staff came and took our luggage and Katrina on reception duties was superb at giving us a tour of the facilities and taking us to our room. We had a walk around Langley park which adjoins the hotel before enjoying the hotel bar which is cosy and welcoming. We opted for All Day Dining in the lounge rather than the restaurant and with it being January the hotel was very quiet and romantic. Next day we had spa treatments (bamboo massage...brilliant) and the spa facilities were superb. Our bedroom was in the old brewery house and everything was spotless, you can tell it's all new. A birthday card and balloon was waiting for us in the room which was a nice touch. I would love to come back to the hotel. Was unsure because of some of the reviews but I can't agree with them, we loved our stay, all the staff were fantastic, the breakfast was delicious and the spa was fab.
- Tom (8/5): Enjoyable overall, but a couple of aspects that were a minor let-down. It felt quite expensive for what it was. - Stunning location. The property itself is beautiful. The restaurant (Cedar) was fantastic. Two things:
1. There was literally no availability for spa treatments on the Saturday I was there. It was a bit disappointing that there weren’t treatments ring-fenced for hotel guests.
2. There were quite a few small children in the spa. I’d have expected at least part of the spa area to be adults-only.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Customer service not at the standard I would expect given the status of the hotel and amenities not all available during our stay
- Lisa (9/5): Was a lovely place to stay. Close to Heathrow airport and London attractions. A lovely spa to relax in. Treatments are h - Beautiful building and nice grounds. Nicely decorated for Christmas The pricing is very high for accommodation, food and drink.
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional - This is the kind of place that makes you feel special.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (7/5): Heavily overpriced for the standard of service but truly stunning venue - Stunning venue Staff need to pay attention, be more attentive, more polite and courteous
- Eliza (10/5): amazing stay , the spa facilities are the best , I totally recommend it - Delicious breakfast with lots of choices from a menu. Was served by very attentive staff.
The location is very convenient close to London and gave us the opportunity to a short gateway .
- TAEEPham8 (6/5): Not 5 star standard - We visit the Langley often but lately we have been disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The water canister in the Spa lounge is often mouldy, please see photograph attached. When I alerted a member of staff to the mould, I was told “oh yeah” but he simply walked away and left the water as it is.
The majority of lockers in the changing room don’t work. The walls are pealing, the shower doesn’t drain well and the whole changing room is often a mess and dirty.
The staff are not the most helpful and friendly. The massage is mediocre, not enough pressure even when I specifically asked to apply pressure.
Generally, disappointed with the Langley.
- dYquem (10/5): Excellent stay but problem with room temperature - My wife and I recently finished a one night stay, an overdue escape from the kids after over two years of constantly interrupted sleep.
We booked using Bonvoy points, which confirmed into a classic room (the lowest category; the only one available for points booking), situated in the Brew House (separate annex building).
I made two requests of the hotel. First, to give us a room in the Main House (the spa is situated there, and it’s freezing outside: there’s nothing less conducive to a relaxing trip to the spa than having to run a gauntlet between buildings in a bathrobe). Second, to give us late check-out (to make the most of a rare stay without the kids). I didn't have high expectation that my requests would be approved as this is not a huge hotel (big plus for us) and I lost Ambassador status when our little one arrived due to medical complications (having been on it since it was launched in 2011), so am only a lowly lifetime titanium.
To my surprise, the first request was confirmed by email a few days before check in. The second was confirmed within hours of arrival. To my even greater surprise, and despite no mention of it at check in, when we were escorted to our room, we’d been upgraded to a junior suite - room 16 (one of three bedrooms which, together with a living room (not provided to us), makes to the Duke of Marlborough (Presidentlal) Suite. We were very appreciative of this.
We settled in and then went for dinner at Cedar, the hotel’s restaurant. I have severe (anaphylaxis) allergies to shellfish and had advised the hotel in advance. All staff knew about this and we were assured all food would be prepared separately, with no risk of cross-contamination. In fact, the F&B manager came out to see me with some menus and asked for my meal preferences so things could be organised in advance. As a severe allergy sufferer, this is amazing and I'm so appreciative of the efforts. Needless to say, I had no allergy problems! The food in Cedar was out of this world. The wine (a very good bottle of Pommard) was delicious and the service absolutely faultless. It was one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had in a hotel, and put us in a really good mood.
On return to the room, it felt rather chilly. We tried adjusting the temperature but the panel was unresponsive. I was very reluctant to call down as they’d treated us so well, but it was cold and, with draughts from the huge Georgian (single glazed) sash windows, it would only get worse during the night. Someone came up and tried adjusting the temperature, to no avail. They then tried adjusting the temperature from reception and the night supervisor (a very nice gentleman) told me it only changed it by 0.3 degrees Celsius. Oddly, he didn’t offer us an alternative room (I assume the hotel was fully booked), nor any practical solution. So I requested some extra duvets. First a child’s duvet was delivered by very friendly housekeeper, which wouldn’t have made much of a difference so, again somewhat reluctantly given how well we’d been treated, I asked for a larger duvet, which eventually came (the poor housekeeper had to carry a heavy duvet - I was so embarrassed). It warmed us up enough we were able to fall asleep but we had a bad night, and woke up freezing cold. The temperature was about 16c with a bad draught from the windows, even with curtains fully drawn. My boss had at some point “shared” my duvet so I was more exposed than her to the cold. I’m actually happy about that as I was feeling rather grim by the morning and the whole purpose of the trip was to give her some luxurious pampering which if she developed a chill would have been a fail. When we work up (early) I called reception and they quickly brought up a portable heater. They apologised and said there was a fault with the heating system in our room and it might have been that the person who adjusted the panel the night before actually turned the system off altogether. It’s a real shame they didn’t bring us the heater the previous evening, but apparently they are controlled by maintenance which isn’t staffed in the evenings. We received yet another apology, and an offer to move rooms, but as we were only there for a few more hours, and had (by then) two booster heaters in the room, and I really didn’t wish to make a stink, particularly given how well we’d been treated, so I politely declined.
Breakfast was amazing. We arrived maybe 15 mins before last sitting and were warmly welcomed. Again we were given reassurance everything would be fine from an allergy perspective (we’d given our choices to the wonderful F&B manager the evening before when he came to see us after dinner to check everything was fine).
We then went to the spa, which was lovely. We were the only ones there and it was amazing. The pool is great but for me the jacuzzi is the highlight. It’s huge and had many different types of seating areas. It made me feel much better (I'd developed the sniffles) and we must have stayed in the spa for three hours without anyone else being there.
After a relaxing bath in our bedroom, we had a quick, but delicious, lunch in the drawing room, relaxing by the fire at the bar / library, and then checked out.
In all a wonderful stay, with amazing service and great food. We were keen on not letting the room temperature problem ruin the stay, so on check out I didn’t dwell on it or ask for anything. Doing so would have been looking a gift horse in the mouth given this was a points stay, with huge upgrade, and late check out. So definitely a five star from us.
We’ve now booked stays for December, January and February.
I would advise other guests staying during winter to check, during working hours, that the room temperature panel works and if not to either change rooms or ask for the portable heaters. The staff are wonderful and will do their utmost to help.

- ChrisPriceF1 (10/5): Hidden Gem - Incredible grounds and fantastic hotel
I cannot fault this place from facilities to great people. From the minute we arrived and were greeted to final check out was a pleasure to be there.
The spa and treatments were excellent and the staff are really interested in looking after you at all times
Food was great and a walk around the ground is spectacular
- Benjamin (9/5): Superb -
- NICOLAP_1966 (8/5): Good not won’t be return bar staff are a let down and very immature - Lovely hotel room decent and well maintained friendly reception staff my only concern would be when sitting in the very very same bar over hearing conversations of unexpected pregnancy, bar staff and regular guests sleeping with each other a hotel of such high standards personal information like this shouldn’t be public knowledge especially when you’re paying £22 for a cocktail you expect high class standards not an live experience of eastenders
- Mobilemum (10/5): An exquisite country retreat - I only review experiences that are so very bad or very good as to motivate a review. This experience was VERY VERY GOOD! The hotel is beautiful- even more beautiful than the pictures (also rare). The interiors have been sensitively renovated to offer the best of modern comfort, while celebrating the heritage of the place. Spectacular grounds and lots of activities (walks, cycling, horse riding, tennis, swimming…), the food is delicious and the cocktails, served in the atmospheric Churchill Bar, are a delight. All superb, but the real distinction that sets the Langley apart is the service and amazing staff. So charming and helpful and thoughtful, with special mention of Idil at the reception who has got to be one of the nicest hospitality talents ever! We were traveling with our children The staff were all tuned in to ensuring that they had the best time, with a wonderful kids program run by “George & Sharky” who had the kids outdoors, building bonfires, feeding goats and meeting the local rabbits. The location- just 18 minutes by taxi from LHR and a 20 minute commute by train to central London would make this a perfect spot for a weekend escape from the city or even a base to combine country days with some London tourism - that’s our plan for next time because we intend to be back, next time for longer!
- 837eyadk (10/5): Fantastic stay - Fantastic stay, great hotel, very clean with amazing service and delicious food, highly recommended. True 5 stars experience.
We tried the Hammam experience and it was very refreshing and the ladies were very professional. You can also enjoy great walks at Langley parks
- 145anhd (6/5): Nice hotel but cold pool - I like the hotel. It's very pretty and a nice getaway from London.
Great for a stay before flying off from Heathrow too.
However, I just had a few gripes. The pool is just too cold and the likewise the changing rooms have no heating so can also be cold.
Would be a perfect destination if the pool was 2/3 degrees warmer and was pleasant to swim in.
- Joanne (10/5): You will not want to leave! - The hotel and facilities were indeed 5* and most staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. The setting is peaceful and very relaxing. Our bedroom was beautiful, and the bed was super cosy and comfortable. My spa treatment was THE best treatment I have ever had, and Ruby took great care of me. I would thouroughly recommend it. It was expensive but worth every penny. Our 2 night stay was wonderful and we definitely did not want to leave. A small bottle of fizz - doesn't even have to be champagne - would be a nice gesture for people celebrating special occasions.
- Matt (4/5): Requires Improvement - The immersive grounds was beautiful. - dinner was not 5*
- the outside pool was not clean homing a frog, dead flies, leaves & frog spawn
- wobbly dinner table, flickering lights on side of the manor house & overpriced drinks
- Corina (10/5): - I was only there for one night but had a fantastic dinner at Cedar and enjoyed the Churchill Bar. Would definitely come back for a longer stay.
- TxTraveler254 (10/5): Quiet Elegance - Our five-day stay at The Langley was delightful. The facilities were lovely, and the service was consistently friendly and efficient. Everything was first class, with all the amenities one expects in a luxury hotel experience. We particularly enjoyed strolling the hotel’s beautifully maintained grounds as well as the many pathways in the huge Langley Country Park that surrounds the hotel property. We chose The Langley because we wanted a quiet, relaxing getaway, and it was an excellent choice.
- 624celestep (10/5): Girls weekend escape - We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the spa. Idil was extra sweet and took great care of us! We will be back!

- John (10/5): - Excellent,friendly and helpful staff.
- Jonathan (8/5): Wonderful hotel, great rooms, service doesn't match the price. - The building is great, new, well-designed and really well done. Rooms are excellent. The service doesn't match the price - I think they're still finding their feet. Really small things from the greeting when we arrived - For £600+ a night, I wouldn't expect to have to carry my bags up a flight of stairs into reception, to enter to an empty reception, or to have the wrong room. We requested a room in the main building and they'd put us in the other building, which in fairness they sorted. I'd also expect someone coming around by the pool taking food/drink orders, but there is no service in the spa, which feels like a huge oversight.

- Griffiths (10/5): Phenomenal - Amazing from start to finish! I have travelled to many places around the world, and this was fantastic! Thai you so much!
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (5/5): Disappointing stay. Was expecting much better for the price - Lovely location, friendly staff and pleasant room. It was disappointing that our room was in an outbuilding. Luckily it did not rain although umbrellas were provided. It was disappointing to be asked to sign a bill for 3 for breakfast, when we were only 2. Breakfast was included in the overnight rate and the bill was altered when I pointed that out. It is a luxury hotel but the stay did not represent good value for money.
