Loved the ambiance of the "old west" and we truly didn't want to get out of the bed it was so comfortable! Also loved all the windows and being able to watch the downtown area from our view. It was convenient to walk to everything we did. The host at desk was so friendly and helpful too!! The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't book more than one night! Haha!!

When we arrived we found the door locked and the phone number on the website unmanned. We had to book another hotel and lost our money. I can’t say how disappointed we were.

The woman who was working at the front desk was friendly and shared information about the historic building we stayed in, as well as other buildings on the main strip. She made us feel like special guests and was very welcoming. The room was beautiful and had a great view. We would highly recommend this hotel. Nothing.

Our suite was spacious, clean and so pretty. We were greeted by friendly staff and given a good recomendation for a place to get a beverage. This hotel is near all of the things you've heard about Pawhuska. Eat at the Merc. It lives up to it's reputation.

- chuckq (10/5): Large comfortable rolls in a unique hotel. Third visit! - This is our 3rd time staying here. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The young lady at the desk offered to pick up food for my wife at Ptolemy, the local restaurant, because she nice my wife had a cane and has issues climbing stairs! She also made sure to have the air conditioner turned on early and closed all the curtains due to the 100 degree weather😀 The room was very large and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was also very clean. Loved having a small kitchen area with a table to enjoy my morning coffee. The hotel now offers a dedicated parking lot, but it’s a fairly long walk if you are older or have problems walking. Thankfully you can park directly in front of hotel to load or unload your car, Definitely a unique place to stay, and always insist on staying here while visiting the Mercantile next door.

The electricity went off as we were attempting to check out. After waiting for it to come back on, we had to walk down 4 flights of marble steps with luggage which was a challenge since we are seniors. There was no staff to help so finally a couple of nice people helped us down. No refund was given.

- christmasm2023 (8/5): Beautiful view and room lacking on little things - Beautiful hotel. Our room was a king suite. Beautiful room and view. I loved our room and decor. The bed was amazing. My only issue is for over $200 almost $300 a night the toilet paper is cheap and rough, toilet seat broke, housekeeping would know and report when they clean the toilet,and the toiletries were ridiculous tiny small bottles, 3 small squirts and it was empty. No shampoo, Im assuming it was forgotten but didn't notice till I was already in the shower.Just conditioner and lotion. Why have a big Beautiful kitchen in the room if it's completely empty. Not one cabinet had a single dish, or cutlery. Brought back left over food and went to eat no silverware. For the price I would not stay again though. Your paying for the view and furniture.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The one lady went above and beyond for us, she brought us extra sheets/towels etc. It was beautiful! The pillows on the bed were a little too small and hard, my only complaint.

- CAROLINE (2/5): - We were supposed to check in on Sunday. Not knowing the entire town shuts down on Sunday, no restaurants, stores, bars, nothing is open. We got to the hotel at noon, they said we could check in at 3. One place was open until 2 for lunch so we were able to get lunch. We go back to the hotel at 1:30 to see if we could watch the US Open in the lobby, no Tv. We had to sit in our car until 3. I think it’s terrible that the rooms are ready, but they won’t let you in early knowing there is absolutely no place to go on Sunday. We drove 10 hours to get there and this was the reception we got, wait in your car. We ended up leaving, losing our money for the night and going on with the rest of our trip. We will not be back. Hospitality would have been to let us in since literally nothing is open in the entire town on Sunday. Lesson learned

The rooms are incredibly spacious, the beds are super comfy, and every detail feels thoughtfully updated. You can really tell care went into the remodel—it’s the perfect blend of old and new. Located right in the heart of downtown Pawhuska, the Frontier is just steps away from all the action. It's directly across the street from The Pioneer Woman Mercantile, plus tons of cute shops and local restaurants. The landscaping throughout town is gorgeous, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Whether you’re in town for a quick visit or a longer stay, I highly recommend the Frontier. You won’t be disappointed!

Parking is on the street and limited but was not a problem after 5:00 pm. It does not have a restaurant but is within walking distance to places to eat. Rooms are big with kitchenette .
