Guest Reviews
- becci (10/5): - the host petra was amazing , lovely suite , comfortable , quiet and clean xxx
the breakfast was amazing well worth the money and just lovely lovely people made you feel welcome xxx nothing , there is nothing not to like x
- David (10/5): Great quiet location - Convient location, with fabulous views over to the Humber bridge. The best cooked breakfast served in your own room
- SHAKIRA (10/5): - Clean and comfortable in a beautiful part of the countryside. Petra was responsive and welcoming allowing us an early check in and a delicious breakfast the next day. We were there for a wedding at Wootten hall - hard to get a taxi in that area and they are often very expensive.
- Pearson (10/5): 110% Recommend and hope to stay again - The whole experience was outstanding from the beautiful location to the facilities & customer service from Petra. The Breakfast was out of this world. N/A
- Donna (9/5): Peaceful retreat - It was spotlessly clean, it offered a cosy living area to relax in with wood burning stove and a full basket of logs, had a fridge, kettle, wine glasses and a couple of plates for drinks and snacks. Nothing, everything was thought of. It is quite rural and if you can’t walk far you would need to drive to the local pub “Thornton Hunt Inn” which had fabulous Landlords and made us feel really welcome.
- Barry (7/5): Nice Place, but very remote, need a car ! - Super nice host, large room, comfortable, clean and priced very reasonably The breakfast is amazing, worth the stay just for that!!! I did not have a car and without one you are stuck in the deep countryside. It was a 30 minute walk to get to any services/pubs/shops.
If you have a car this is a great place.
It was a little cold in the room, needed the duvet and the blanket.
- Rebecca (10/5): It was a lovely place to stay with a wonderful host. I felt very safe and enjoyed the outlook. - Petra was a lovely, kind, and helpful host particularly as I’m disabled. The cooked breakfast and fresh fruit salad were delicious. The place was very clean and there were lots of windows to open. I loved the fact the bedroom had an external door you could open into the little garden area. The field out the back was a lovely sight and I saw a sunset from there, and the moon was gorgeous at the front, which has a little road and then fields. You can park directly in front of the property. This isn’t a dislike just an idea: the only thing that could be added is a ramp at that bedroom external door for anyone in a wheelchair and a shower stool that could be requested by those who’d need that. I didn’t need either, and there was an external rail to help me get up the step at the front door, which was perfect.
- Ronald (9/5): Mooie locatie met uitzicht op de landerijen - Mooie locatie en behulpzame gastvrouw en heer.
In de ochtend een prima ontbijt Ik zou hier niets voor kunnen bedenken
- Daniel (10/5): - A lovely room, fantastic breakfast and a great host. Thank you Petra we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again. Nothing.
- Paul (10/5): Wonderful! -
- John (10/5): Cosy and well equipped mini suite in quiet country cottage with views over fields. - Friendly welcome in lovely quiet rural location with separate bedroom and little lounge/dining/kitchenette with country views. Lovely breakfast prepared by host and delivered to the dining area. Comfortable bedroom. All clean and in great condition.
- Harry (10/5): Short and sweet - Really lovely little cottage. Petra is extremely accommodating. Nothing
- Philip (10/5): Very friendly, comfortable stay, everything we wanted and more, excellent breakfast -
- Adrian (10/5): Brilliant stay thanks. - The location was rural and very quiet, yet close to Immingham where we were due to work.
Lovely accommodation including lounge area with comfy sofa, table and chairs, TV, ample tea and coffee facilities, including free milk in fridge and microwave.
Lovely full shower bathroom off the lounge with big thick towels and shower products to use
Very comfy, large Queen size bed with two large wardrobes and dressing table.
Area very quiet and dark - excellent night sleep.
Excellent wifi.
Full English breakfast brought up to the room at agreed time with plenty of tea / coffee / cereals / fruit bowl.
Lovely service, friendly service throughout. Thank you Petra.
Will definitely be back in the future. No, I feel they had thought of everything. We have no suggestions to recommend for them.
Just deep it up. Thanks.
- Dad and son on a journey (10/5): Perfect and would highly recommend to people. - Petra was a great host and she takes pride in her B&B, we got there early and soaking wet as we were on motorcycles and Petra let us in early which was much appreciated, there is nice secure parking for us just outside the door and a nice garden seating area, the place was well above perfect everything was high quality the furniture and fittings were beautiful and everything in the place was chosen on quality style and not price which is great and shows the owners care, , we lit the wood burner and we were warm and cosy within minutes and all our motorcycle clothing was dry within the hour, we had a great evening, using the microwave for our evening meal along with the supplied tea/ coffee and milk fresh from the fridge and a great nights sleep, in the morning Petra brought us our breakfast and we had fresh fruit kiwi/apple/banana/grapes and pear in a nice juice we appreciated the time things like this takes, toast and jam, yogurt, beautifully cooked full English breakfast along with freshly made tea/coffee and fresh orange juice. I have to own up that i also had cornflakes and choco pops as well for breakfast lol, cant thank Petra enough for making us welcome and all this for what i would call a very good price and well worth it thank you Wayne and Dan father and son. Nothing it was well above perfect.

- Andrew (10/5): - Outstanding one of the best places I have stayed at
- Carla (10/5): Overall perfect - but Outstanding Breakfast - Very kind and helpful host! Amazingly clean. Very comfortable - but the highlight was the breakfast. Superb quality - fruit bowl to start and then full English. All cooked perfectly and the local sausages were the best we have had in years. Amazing value for the accommodation and breakfast included. Nothing
- Manon (10/5): Apaisant et bien manger - La vue depuis la chambre, le confort du lit, le petit dej incroyable, un petit espace séparé de la chambre.
- Shane (9/5): Tranquil! - Breakfast was top notch - Petra is a terrific host.
- Sally (10/5): Our perfect getaway cottage - We always have a brilliant stay at Villa Farm Cottage. It's a perfect place for us to go when visiting family and even one night feels like a long holiday. Petra is always welcoming and kind, and we'll be sure to book again.

Everything was just a joy and I highly recommend ! Nothing!

- Pauline (10/5): Relaxing quiet and enjoyable. Everything was perfect. - Everything about Villa Farm cottage was of an extremely high standard. The breakfast was exactly what we both asked for and cooked to perfection. Nothing
- Steven (10/5): Just fantastic - Wonderful host and everything we needed
- Sue (10/5): Excellent, value for money and we will return. - Spacious facilities including view. Big, comfy bed and bed linen. Big, fluffy towels in a great bathroom. Excellent breakfast including a fruit salad which was delicious. Our room would have let in a lot of light had we been there during Spring/summer.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - location was great very friendly and helpful host
- Hannah (10/5): Unbelievable value for money - I absolutely loved my stay here. It was such a spacious beautiful room, immaculately clean with everything you could need. The log burner made it incredibly warm and cosy, and the bed was soft and comfortable. The icing on the cake was having breakfast brought to the room in the morning which as a solo traveller I loved. Two courses of fruit cocktail/yoghurt/muffin and then a fabulous cooked breakfast really did amaze me for the price, excellent value for money, which again makes even more difference travelling solo. Will definitely stay again! Nothing!
- Savitri (8/5): - Great place , beautiful few
- Steven (10/5): Wonderful host, wonderful breakfast, comfy and cosy. - Everything Just needed a little easier parking as it was tight
- Karen (10/5): Outstanding. - We had a wonderful stay with Petra and Martin while attending a wedding at Wootton Hall. Our suite was much more than we expected and there were thoughtful touches such as a microwave and fridge if needed. There was also access to the garden through the bedroom. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We would not hesitate to recommend Villa Farm Cottage, a really outstanding place to stay. Nothing could have been better.
- Chris (10/5): Clean, tidy and presentable. Host very nice. - Clean. Tidy and presentable.
Breakfast to your room.
- Carl (10/5): I do up to up to 10 overnights a month, this is easily the best place I have stayed in ages. - I felt it was my own living space, even had my own garden ! Very clean, spacious and homely.
- Victoria (9/5): delightful -
- Sharna (10/5): Lovely hosts, clean and spacious room in a beautiful location. - Lovely sized room with all the necessary essentials to enjoy the trip. Petra was lovely and greeted me on arrival to show me the room. Stayed for a wedding at Wootton Hall and would 100% recommend.
- Malcolm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): - Lovely property in peaceful setting. Clean, comfortable and well furnished. Off road parking and small outside private seating area. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful owner. Hope to return.
- Chun (9/5): Petra is a great host and the cottage is very nice. We will go again for sure. - It is a lovely cottage at a beautiful spot. Nothing
- Kelman (10/5): Perfect for our needs - Absolutely beautiful cottage. Will come again. Only that top room was light early morning as no curtain or door between bedroom and sitting area.
- Mandy (10/5): Peace and quiet in absolute comfort - Stunning place to stay. I didn't want to leave: the settee with it's amazing view, the super comfy bed, fantastic shower, delicious breakfast and lovely countryside.
- Nick (10/5): One of the very best B&B's that I have stayed in - The whole experience at Villa Farm Cottage was excellent. The facilities were great and the host was most helpful. I was able to complete a Teams meeting via wi-fi before having to check out and I will definitely look to return again in the future if in the same area. Nothing not to like.
- Tim (9/5): Family wedding stop over in a delightful property. - Comfortable, clean, nicely laid out, and a friendly welcome. We were accommodated with a delicious vegan breakfast too.

Plenty of hot water, good shower. No issues with WiFi.
Very good value for money.
Felt very safe and looked after, as female travelling alone.
- Lisa (10/5): Fabulous stay, the location is excellent, lovely breakfast and fantastic hosts 10/10 - Excellent quiet location, breakfast fabulous. Nothing to dislike about this property
- Geoff (10/5): Superb stay in lovely charmimg B&B. - Everything was superb.
- Sue (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Excellent room with lovely wood burning stove. Breakfast was exceptional, plentiful and of a high quality. Host was very helpful Nothing
- Tom (10/5): Great place to stay likely would have been nicer in summer as there would be great views. - Breakfast was served in the room, it was excellent good quality and plenty of it what you need before a day at work. Additionally they were really accomodating on times.
Bed was very comfortable and the rainfall shower was very spacious with plenty of pressure. I dropped one place on the location, this was only because its a drive to places that did evening meals. The biggest issue was on the Monday, they do mention in their room information that there are 2 pubs under 2 miles away however the Nags Head in Wooten do not appear to do food, the Thornton Hunt Inn is closed to non residents on a Monday, however when I went in on the Wednesday they did say if I had told them where I was staying they would have accomodated me, as a separate note the food at the THornton Hunt Inn is excellent and great value.
- Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful relaxing with great food - Clean fresh with exceptional attention to detail
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): The Best B&B - We love everything about this place. It's our favourite B&B when visiting our family up there.
- Amanda (10/5): Absolutely Fabulous and super welcoming! - This honestly was one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed in. This B&B is even better than most 4 and 5 star hotel. I was put in a bigger room as the occupant was out sooner so Petra said she was giving me the bigger suite. It was so lovely, and big. The sitting and dining room absolutely gorgeous, as was the bedroom and the bathroom. I have some photo's so I will add them. As it's Autumn now and quite a lot colder I was worried as sometimes rooms can be cold but this place had a lovely wood burner and once that was on, the whole suite was warm. The bedroom had two radiators also, and the bedroom was a little too warm for me so had to open the window. The bedroom is huge and the bed is so comfortable, and the mattress just right. The sheets, pillow cases and the towels all smelled divine and were so soft!! The toiletries were good also. There was a little fridge, microwave and a kettle with a lot of teas/coffees and some fresh milk in the little fridge. I normally go out to a restaurant for dinner but this place was so cosy I ordered in from an Indian restaurant that was recommended to me by Petra. Highly recommend, Abdul's Kitchen, delicious food at affordable prices delivered straight to the door. I had bought some desserts and some wine to have after dinner. You will see this is one of the best places ever to stay. If ever I am in the same area, I will make sure to see if this is available. I must also say the breakfast was outstanding. It is better than a lot of hotels. The amount of food you get and the quality, again out of this world. Lovely Petra also brings this to your suite so you can have it in the comfort in your pijama's if you so wish. This B&B gets a 10 out of 10 from me. Truly an absolutely stunning place! There is nothing that I didn't like. If you have something bad to say about this place then I think there must be something wrong with you because honestly it was great!
- Paul (10/5): Great place to relax - Superb breakfast as usual comfy bed and cosy log burner. Nothing to do with the property but the roadworks in Hull diabolical
- Liu (10/5): Hidden gem and lovely host - Petra was a lovely and amazing host and takes pride in her Cottage which is reflected in everything throughout the accomodation.
I couldn't believe how much space there was within my room with the extra lounge area with the view of the fields.
The beds were one of the few I've really enjoyed when travelling on business, with fresh white sheets.
And then the breakfast, oh my! There was such a wide selection that was included which set me up for the whole day. Parking was a bit small but still perfectly acceptable and adequate
- Petch (10/5): Amazing!! -
- JULIE (10/5): Country comfort - Lovely little find to help explore the area.
Friendly host and the best breakfast 👍
- Bertha (10/5): Great place, good food and a good nights sleep - We have stayed here before. Things were just as good as last time with the added bonus of a picture window with a great view and lots of wildlife to see.
Petra is a very thoughtful host.
We hope to return Nothing
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Wonderful, breakfast delivered to room thank you. - Open views Bed a little uncomfortable
- Jill (10/5): Lovely room, comfy bed and superb breakfast. - The suite had everything you could possibly want. The breakfast was amazing, superb quality ingredients served on beautifully hot plates. Petra (the owner) was exceptionally helpful both before our arrival and during our stay. Nothing

- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): - Beautiful cottage with very comfortable rooms (the bed was amazing!) Petra was an extremely attentive host and the breakfast was fantastic. Can't recommend Villa Farm Cottage enough.
- Alison (10/5): Great little find just outside Hull - We stayed at Villa Farm for just one night as we were travelling south and were lucky enough to get the last room. It was perfect for us as we had bought some crab in Whitby and just wanted an evening "at home"- the room at Villa Farm Cottage included a spacious living area and breakfast table and sofa as well as a spacious bedroom and bathroom so it had everything we needed. I think there were pubs and other places to eat in local villages. Petra was very kind and helped us with all our needs. I had never been to North Lincolnshire before but the range of pamphlets and information available at the cottage made me think we should definitely come back! Highly recommended for a quiet country stay for a couple although it is just over the Humber bridge so lots of other options in the City too.
- Alyson (10/5): Best B&B I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at many, I will be returning again and again. - What a wonderful place, a lovely greeting from Petra on arrival, and then we walked into our suite, wow amazing and absolutely spotless. Fresh milk in the fridge and some fresh muffins on arrival. Bed was amazing, best night sleep away from home I have ever had. Bathroom spacious, shower very powerful and a great temperature. I have mobility issues and this suite was perfect. Breakfast was of such good quality and plenty of it. We booked for 4 nights but stayed 6 nights and still didn’t want to leave and we are looking forward to returning Nothing
- Alyson (10/5): Will be returning again and again, a place to go and relax and recharge your batteries. - I have given a previous review as this is an extension of a stay, I booked 4 days and loved it so much we booked an extra two days, as I have said this is a first class B&B. Spotless, spacious, food exceptional, hosting amazing, I didn’t mention in the last review it is also cleaned daily. Nothing
- Tom (10/5): Fabulous stay at this b&b. The best I’ve ever stayed in considering the price! - Fabulous host
