Guest Reviews
- John (2/5): - Not what was advertised it was a trash pen
- Lorelle (2/5): - I booked a room online and paid with a card at that time. There were instructions as well as an email sent to me which include check in times/office hours until 10 pm. We got there about 20 minutes before 10 pm to find the office locked. On the door, a piece of paper where the office hours had been altered by scribbling out "10pm" with a sharpie and replacing it with "9pm."
- Anayeli (10/5): - The place is small, clean. You get what you pay for.
- Richard (2/5): - We did not stay. iIt was a dump, with police car in parking lot with lights flashing,
Not at all as represented.
- ERVIN (2/5): Is Hotel, com at fault for my NO Stay... - No room available at Skylark Motel. Tried to check-in at 7:35 and was told that they had no rooms even though I had a reservation. They offer us a back room without plumbing and no TV. Most other motels were full because of the football game which was why I was there. We ended up spending a night in another hotel that only had a air conditioner and roaches (4 seen). Mind you, Perry, Fl. temp that night was 41'. I want to know who's responsible for this miss-up...HOTEL.COM (who I made a reservation with), or the motel, (SKYLARK MOTEL, PERRY, FL.) Even though the Management of this motel did call other motels for us. 'No Vacancy'. We drive 7 hours to our home games and to be greeted with this dilemma at the end of day (7:30pm). Isn't fun, even if you just WON a Rivalry Game. Will surely be in contact with Hotel.com
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean but loud neighbors - Room was clean and did not smell. Unfortunately, massively loud argument happened from neighbors until about 4am.
- Richard (2/5): - I called several times the week prior and left a message several times know one called back until time of check in by then it was to late to cancel
- Michelle (2/5): DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! - WHAT A DIVE! I read the other comments and thought ok, its an older motel but everyone else said it was a good place, so i booked it. We go to the Iron Horse Mud Ranch every year and havent had a hotel/motel problem before, so i figured it would be ok. WRONG!! After an initial fiasco actually getting into our room (office locked, No Vacancy sign in the window, dogs & kids barking and screaming in the office manager's apartment, no answer when # was called several times - only went to voice mailbox that was full) and a very mean-looking, unkempt woman finally came to the door as we had gotten back in our truck to leave and waved us back. We got the key & went in the room. It was so old and nasty and had an overwhelming, overpowering stench of Pine Sol that made both of us choke & our eyes burned. We had to leave the door open for a half hour to air it out! I want to go into so much more detail but i dont have enough space! Everything old. Everything filthy. We were disgusted. Slept like crap bc of the loud, profanity-laden fight going on next door all night thru to 8am the next morning when they took it outside. Woman had thrown man's belongs all over the parking lot, other tenants were rummaging thru it and stealing stuff. We left as fast as we could! Would VERY STRONGLY suggest that Hotels.com NOT list this property anymore. Will NEVER endorse this property, will NEVER recommend this property to anyone and will definately NEVER stay here again!!
- Lois (10/5): - Clean. No frills
- Krystal (8/5): - Hotel staff is difficult to understand and struggles to comprehend customers, also rude and beyond inconsiderate of anyone's health. They're consistently limited on supplies for the rooms and does not clean/sanitize their facility daily or to satisfactory terms. In addition, nobody including other residents at the motel is providing theservice's within the pric description, particularly in regards to the COVID-19safety guidelines and procedures
- Nancy (10/5): Very Clean!!! - Room was very clean and the management on site was very helpful and courteous!!
- john (6/5): Simple and quiet - Overall wasn’t a bad stay. The room was clean but simple no frills type. The service wasn’t much considering it was booked, paid and just needed a key. Not a bad place for a simple stop and stay close to town. The only down side is mattress was very hard and the bathtub looked to be poorly painted.
- Bob (8/5): - Nice, clean rooms. Staff were very accommodating! Will stay again!
- Ronald (2/5): Calling them thieves dishonors honest crooks! - Check in closes at 10 pm?! This was NOT in the hotels.com conformation email! They don't answer the phone and not I or Hotels.com could get through to them. And they tried TWICE! I had to get ANOTHER hotel at a higher price and these bums kept my money anyway!
- neveragain (4/5): - I’ll just say, I’ll find somewhere else to stay next time I’m in perry.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was wet and damp. No one in office at check in and out. You have to call for them to come.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - the floor was tile. it was neatly swept but our feet were filthy after walking on it. there was no bath mat. the shower faucet was faulty (hot water knob burned my hand) and the tub had been painted and was peeling. there was no blanket on the bed, just the sheets and a not cozy motel bedspread.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was obviously an update in progress, BUT the room was extremely clean and sheets/cover, towels appeared new! I’d stay there again!
- Donna (2/5): Caution - Disappointing motel. Bathtub finish was badly damaged and drain looked dirty. Room and linens were other wise clean. Refrigerator and microwave were nice to have. trash in cabinet above the sink from previous guests. Rules we were required to sign forbid throwing trash out the window or painting the room, suspect this hotel was in a less the desirable location. They did accommodate our request for 2 beds, after reserving only one.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It had no heat no blankets in the room we only had two towels for two days no room service the first thing I see is a dead roach in the bathroom and when we got back in our room there was a roach crawling on my pillow no carpet in our room it was raining so the floor was slippery its a old building so it took 10 minutes are longer for the hot water to get hot so no we wasn't happy with our room Chad and Loretta miles
- T (2/5): - I’ve never seen a hotel tub in the condition of this hotel! No sanitary was not used ! In some of the coldest weather in the area upon entry to the room, The room was freezing omg and there is no automatic heat! Had to request a portable heater ! No wash clothes or hand towels older furniture and no carpet! Surprised that they are even listed on Expedia. I took pictures because I certainly believe a full refund was due! Couldn’t get anyone on the phone to request a refund or the hand towels /wash clothes !
