Guest Reviews
- Usha (8/5): Pleasant stay, good value for number of people accommodated. - Outdoor pool was unavailable, due to weather.
Had to empty bins before leaving, and the bins to drop off the black bags to, were all full.
Floorboards upstairs were all very creaky.
- Keyur (10/5): -
- Zain (10/5): Very clean and comfortable place, landlord was polite! - Very clean and owner was polite! Swimming pool wasn’t working

Spacious rooms and bedrooms.

Great location for access to Aberystwyth Centre. //

- Abu Boksh (9/5): Amazing, comfortable, well presented, clean and tidy house with excellent services - Location, neighbours, hosts, the property, everything worked for us so we'll, the house was immaculate, underfloor heating and bed were so comfy, hot water all the time, plenty of space in the living room, honestly couldn't find a bad thing to say about it, was amazing Genuinely cannot find anything to say bad about it
- Josh (9/5): - Small notice of a deposit in the policies for the property, received a message saying they had attempted to contact me numerous times about this but they hadn't, so they lied. Said the deposit would be paid back within a week, it has not been. Disappointed with that service.
- Joyce (10/5): good - comfortable and very nice
- Philip (7/5): -
- Duffin (10/5): -
- Maike (9/5): -
- Tracy (10/5): - The hot tub & pool was the best for us The hoover didn't suck up
- nik (7/5): - The location & the cottage. The pool & hot tub information was i thought a little misleading. I thought we had a hot tub for our cottage.
- Rachel (10/5): We had a wonderful stay for my son’s graduation- thank you ! - The property was perfect for our needs , the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was suitable for my mum as she cannot manage stairs the ground floor was spacious enough for her to use a walking aid . Will definitely book again we had a lovely time 😊
- Alex (10/5): Perfect 👌🏼 - Everything ! It was roomy, light, great facilities, great view and the pool was an added bonus Nothing it was all great
- Mark (10/5): Relaxed and refreshed . - Superbly kept. Great for groups and families. Nothing
- Kawal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Parducho (5/5): To summarize, our stay is good. We had a good time wandering around Wales. - The location is quiet and beautiful. We cook our own food; however, the stove must be high to keep cooking. The toilet floor in the room downstairs is so slippery when wet and not safe for a person with a mobility problem. Should put a toilet mat. Also, one room upstairs is too small for a couple to stay with and the other room is too big for a couple to sleep. The couple who used the small room is not comfortable in their room.
- Peter (6/5): Okay - Living area was nice and comfortable, kitchen well stocked, bedrooms were pretty nice and comfortable though very basic Place is falling into disrepair, many cracked floor tiles, kitchen draws is coming apart, outside bench had planks missing with screws sticking out. Also didn't care for the departure requests, emptying bin and washing used dishes fair enough but expecting us to hoover the whole place is a bit much.
One room doesn't have a door, it's just a curtain dividing the two rooms.
- Field (5/5): Passable - All though beds were very used they were very comfy. Great sized bedrooms all with ensuites and very clean.
Lovely fresh bed linen and towels.
Comfy sofas and spacious lounge.
Nice large fridge freezer and full sized dishwasher.
Kitchen well stocked with equipment. And very clean.
Good TV and unlike many remote parts of Wales fair WI FI connection
Great sized dining tables and chairs.
Nice conservatory. Kitchen very well used and many cupboard and drawer parts in need of repair or replacement.
Cooker old and shabby.
All other furniture shabby in need of replacement or repair.
Wet room ensuite floor causes water to accumulate around toilet pan and sink and doesn't drain away as it should which is rather slippery and dangerous.
Table football game supplied but no ball so the 3 lads who would have loved to play couldn't.
Not much outside space for a barque for 9 guests.
- Joanne (9/5): Perfect for our requirements - Spacious for large group
Pool and hot tub area fab.
The children loved the park and the animals. NA
- Jackie (10/5): Had a lovely couple of days stay would liked to have stayed longer had a lovely break - Downstairs Bedroom and comfortable accommodation and swimming pool and hot tub was a great bonus
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gagandeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Green (7/5): Lovely location, good facilities, however The Barn is in desperate need of maintenance. - Lovely location and a really nice layout for the cottages. We stayed in The Barn and it had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The pool and the hot tub were fantastic and the children went in these every day, there was plenty of seating in this area too meaning we could sit and enjoy being with them whilst they played. The park area was clean and tidy and plenty for the little ones to do, with a big open field for them to play in also. They also enjoyed seeing the goat. This is a nice quiet place to stay plenty of parking available. we would come back to a different cottage. The cleanliness could have been ALOT better, there was lots of dust around, one of the bathroom sinks did not look clean around the tap, I went to use a frying pan and it still had white grease in from the last people, the area around the dishwasher needs a good scrub, the information book had dirt on some of the pages again a good wipe is needed. The Barn is in desperate need of an update and some maintenance. A curtain pole fell down whilst I was closing the curtains, a cupboard door came off in my hand, the draws in the kitchen were really stiff and didn't align properly, a metal thing on the sink came off when I was wiping down, the upstairs bath leaked, none of the blinds either close properly or fit meaning every morning I was awake when the sun came in at around 5AM.
- Amber (9/5): Superb - Very big property, perfect for a group. One room has three double beds in it so you need to be comfortable sharing a room with other people.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (9/5): Lots of room & excellent facilities - The keys were supposed to be in the door, they were not, but someone on site had the master key Beautiful accommodation, lots of room, comfy beds, only stayed for one night but wish we had more
- Peacock (10/5): Excellent stay, would book again - Spacious, good layout with a lovely courtyard. Very comfortable beds and ideal location. The only negative I can think of is the wet room in the downstairs bedroom being a bit impractical
- Claire (9/5): Superb - Lovely house, so much space, great facilities. Very clean, we will definitely be back!
- Josephine (7/5): Good -
- Richard (6/5): Good accommodation for a lower occupancy - Location was great, though it's not really possible to walk to town due to the rather dangerous road leading to the park, - complete with a rather ominous high casualty warning sign. Despite that its a very short drive to town. The park itself is well maintained. The Barn has plenty of beds, but the kitchen and living area isn't really set up for the number of beds advertised. The dinner table sits 6 people and is in a small area of the living space due to a large number of sofas (sitting 8 people comfortably).
The kitchen is small, fit only really for one person to cook. There are plenty of plates and glasses, cooking pans, but lacking in cereal bowls.
The accommodation could do with some maintenance, and the downstairs en suite bathroom could benefit from privacy glass and a proper blind.
- Simon (8/5): large - it was a lovely large property that can accommodate up to 11 people
- Jeremy (8/5): Lovely area to stay was a pleasantly stay clean with local immunities - The size and space Shared hot tub
- Rauf (10/5): Perfect ever stay in UK - Everything was wonderful. Specially place and facilities. Kids enjoyed pool.
- Owen (8/5): We booked last minute and it was fine - Had everything we needed Looked a bit tired in places but understandable as it’s the end of the season
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (9/5): . - Location Kitchen could do with a fix up and tidy up. Also only 5 breakfast bowls but 11 people can sleep here. Door difficult to open in small bedroom with 2 single beds. Beautiful place. Loved our stay.
- Greg (7/5): Spot on! - Good place, very good value.
- Welky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Good value,id3al for Aberystwyth, good pool and facil7tes
- Russell (10/5): Touring Wales. - Easy to find, everything you need , very clean, definitely stay again to travel. Aberystwyth ( not you fault)🤪
Couldn't log on internet, tried both phones
- Ireland (7/5): Quiet. A place that had all u needed. - Peace and quiet. Beds weren't comfy. Shower in two ensuites were defective. Light in one room kept flickering.
- Emma (9/5): Highly recommended. - The house was very well equipped for a larger group. The swimming pool and hot tub were well maintained. The owner was extremely lovely, welcoming and helpful. We will definitely return. Could have done with a couple of lamps in the lounge, but that is personal preference I guess.
- Fran (8/5): Very good - Great location. Quiet but very few people staying at the same time as us. Some things in the property could have been better. We left a message about them.
- Emma (9/5): Would definitely be back. - Lots of space for everyone
Kids loved the pool! Some things weren’t as clean as they could be. Found a pair of knickers next to a set of drawers from someone else
- Anthony (10/5): Best property we’ve stay in Aberystwyth - Stunning property, peaceful, tidy and more than we ever expected. N/A
- Stephen (7/5): Overally good but could have been excellent. - Roomy and light areas for the family to congregate comfortably. No indoor washing and drying facilities as mentioned in the listed facilities. Shared laundry was grubbing looking, so we took our washing to town - cheaper but we lost a day of our holiday in the coin laundry. This was disappointing as we’d planned our ongoing UK tour around being able to wash within our accommodation at night.
- Rosalyn (9/5): Comfortable and relaxing and very peaceful watching the red kites - The location is prefect as our daughter is in Fferm Penglais Uni accommodation. The pool was great and the hot tub was a nice addition The kitchen is small, there’s no hooks for towels to dry after showering or after the pool
- Shaun (7/5): Good - The shower is not that good
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pauline (9/5): Very comfortable, & relaxing - Lovely setting around a courtyard with benches A few too many cobwebs in the downstairs bedroom !!
- Rinsu (7/5): Good - We like the facilities available within the house . In the advertising, it was said the pool was open, but it wasn't, and on the 5th april morning, there was no hot water available to have a bath or shower .
- Samantha (10/5): Perfect - Everything ! So comfy .. very roomy lovely hot tub and lights on evening to walk the dogs ❤️loved it Nothing
- Garyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Garyn (9/5): Superb -
- Jrs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hilda (8/5): Area is near relatives went to funeral - It was very comfortable and clean There is something going on in upstairs bathroom every time we had bath or shower I flooded bathroom to the point it was coming through ceiling in lounge over sofa area needs to be looked at seriously.
- Pauline (8/5): Very good -
- Charlotte (10/5): Really would recommend! - Spacious, clean, everything you needed Nothing
- Janghir (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (8/5): Perfect for a group of mates - Plenty of room and facilities
- Hilda (8/5): Very comfortable ample bathrooms. - No breakfast We liked the barn but utensil cupboard (saucepans frying pans etc)were not clean cobwebs in cupboard dishwasher needs new rollers on top tray kept falling down.
- Rosemary (8/5): Very good -
- Cloella (9/5): Perfect friends getaway - The barn sleeps so many people, so its ideal for a big family trip or, like us, a uni friends reunion. It was spacious, clean and well-equipped, and the pool and hot tub with views of the countryside was just the cherry on top. A key safe would have been ideal as we returned back to the barn at different times at night, so it would have ensured we all had access to the property at the same time. Other than that, no issues at all.
- Kirsty (8/5): Lovely short stay would defo come back - Large property had everything you need lots of space ideal for a family.
- Boni (10/5): It was an excellent holiday and the stay was very good -
- Janet (5/5): Average accommodation - Living area and kitchen was great Felt like a hostel in bedrooms. Too many beds in rooms. One bedroom could only be accessed by going through another room.
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Veronika (9/5): Great holiday. Will come back. - The lay out of this property was a little different than expected but it was comfortable and big enough for 9 of us. The pool and jacuzzi were a really great addition. It didn’t work too well for 6 adults and 3 children. We ended up with my husband in the twin room. But good all rooms are en suit.
- Phillip (10/5): A jewel in the Ceredigion crown - An exceptional property- much better than the photographs ! Pristine condition, ultra clean, excellent location and friendly staff
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, clean, good facilities, good location
- Joanne (8/5): Great holiday park - Location for the purpose of our visit. The outdoor pool and the set up of holiday park. The fact that booking com had double booked what i had booked and after u.5 hour drive you dont want to hear that. No fault of owner though and she was fantastic in sorting us another cottage, although we had to accept due to how far we had come it was a smaller cottage with 1 less bedroom. We did manage ok but it was a little squashed.
- Dan (9/5): Superb -
- Winnie (10/5): Exceptional - The facilities and the cleanliness were superb! The staff were really accommodating as well... Would love to come back there.
- Robert (9/5): Superb - The staff were brilliant and the accommodation was perfect. You couldn't walk into Aberystwyth but it was a very short drive.
- Kirstine (8/5): Very good - Facilities and closeness to Aberystwyth Cleaning was OK but not great. Grill was mucky and bathroom was OK.
- Kim (10/5): Perfect - will definitely be back! - Location was perfect. Very quiet but only a few minutes from Aberystwyth and the beach. The Barn was ideal for us as my Mum has limited mobility and downstairs bedroom was perfect for her.
The decor and furnishings were tastefully done.
We made the most of the heated pool and relaxing jacuzzi.
Wish we had booked it for longer! Nothing
- Elain (8/5): Comfortable property in an ideal location - The location was ideal and the property was very comfortable. The kitchen was quite small but did have everything you would need. Ideal for a large group that don't mind sharing beds/rooms. Highly recommend No info on how to operate the heating, it was either boiling hot or freezing. That would be helpful to know how to control. No live TV, or we couldn't figure it out, had to have a netflix/iPlayer/YT account. Some beds were more comfortable than others. None of these were deal breakers and I would stay here again in a heartbeat whenever I am back in Aberystwyth
- Crowbar100 (9/5): Superb -
- Rhian (8/5): Very good -
- Mani (7/5): Good -
- Bethan (10/5): Wonderful dog friendly welcoming break - Wonderful property, lots of space, very clean, and had everything we needed.
Contacted the owners beforehand to ask some questions and they couldn't be more helpful.
Wonderful sleep, such comfortable beds.
Our pup was made to feel very welcome and loved running in the field.
- Janghir (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - The size of the Barn accommodation was fabulous, the location was great, comfortable and warm. The pool and hot tub were out of action so we didn’t get to make the most out of the facilities.
- Rima (10/5): Exceptional - Nice quiet area, close to the town.
20 min drive to the Devils bridge, worth of visiting. Nothing was a trouble.
We enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect stay for the new years celebration.
- Parker (10/5): Exceptional - Really pleased with my stay , gorgeous area and lovely host, would highly recommend to a friend
Will be returning :)
- Stefan (9/5): Superb -
- Clair (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): Nice family break, friendly staff - Good location, good size and had all the facilities you need.
great facilities for Mum who is disabled.
Hot tub was very well taken care off and great size.
- Maureen (8/5): Had a great stay, really like the place. Eleri went out of her way to help us when we arrived late to settle in and have - It had a great view of the country. More than enough space. Great place. Close to the University No big problem but wifi was not the best.
- Samiara (3/5): Poor -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Good - N/A No view, no can opener, no ice.
- Abz (7/5): Lovely stay - The Barn was lovely it was furnished lovely in an ideal place. There was playground for the kids and swimming pool and jacuzzi available the swimming pool was lovely and warm. Free parking BBQ facilities available. There wasn't alot of hot water, there was 9 of us staying in the barn and this worked out that there was enough hot water for maybe 2 people to shower.
Also the BBQs that were down by the playground wasnt well kept, there was beer cans and cigarette ends in them, maybe they could be checked by staff to keep them clean.
