• WAN YI (9/5): Overall, I enjoyed my stay here! - This place is definitely an underrated homestay! It’s run by locals, and although there was a small language barrier, communication was still smooth with the help of translation apps. The environment was peaceful and quiet, surrounded by mountains, and the room looked exactly like the photos. The bicycles were also very convenient, and it only took around 15 minutes to bike to the center of Tam Coc. One thing that could be improved is the transportation instructions. I arranged a limousine bus pickup from the Old Quarter area, but only later found out that some areas require a private transfer because the limousine bus can’t enter certain streets. It would be better if this was explained in advance.

• Myanh (10/5): Lovely and worthwhile experience - The place is absolutely stunning and peaceful. Our room was cleaned carefully, had a lovely view, and was very comfortable. Any enquiries or issues were fixed as soon as we informed the staff. Truly a valuable place to stay. It would be even better if the pool were cleaned more frequently and the staff provided all the necessary information upon arrival (breakfast time,…)

• Anne (9/5): Prachtig hotel in een mooie omgeving - Het hotel was prachtig! De eigenaren waren heel erg vriendelijk en deden er alles aan om het zo goed mogelijk te regelen voor ons. Er zijn gratis fietsjes waarmee je via een mooie route in 10 min naar Tam coc fietst. Echt een aanrader!

• Kelly (7/5): Lovely stay with an odd breakfast situation - Beautiful property and location, 10min cycle into town with free bike use, lovely big pool, huge bath, welcome drink on arrival, quick and helpful communication over WhatsApp Bath took genuinely about 45 minutes to fill up, which is fine once you know and can start filling ahead of time! No menu for breakfast, we had to google translate that we couldn’t eat the dish that was for breakie (we don’t eat meat). Value for money seemed a little low in comparison to some other places we’ve stayed at, but would still recommend nonetheless.

• Bethany (10/5): Peaceful mountain retreat - This was my favourite stay in Vietnam! The entire family at the retreat was so welcoming, lovely and helpful our entire stay. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Our mountain view room was stunning, quiet and comfortable. It was in a really lovely spot a short bicycle or motorbike ride away from key attractions. Would recommend to anyone staying in Ninh Binh! Absolutely nothing! Everything was perfect.

• David (10/5): lovely atmosphere over looked by the mountains with good location. - Lovely little place, the staff were very nice. We arrived just after a big storm and Tam Coc had suffered with floods. The homestay’s courtyard had flooded, they did message us before with photos but we decided to still stay. It was a lovely experience to see how local people deal with the weather conditions.

• Veerle (10/5): nice and clean stay with lovely owners - Very nice accommodation, everything was neat and clean. We could also rent a scooter here for 250,000 dong and a breakfast for 50,000 dong. Owner helped us with everything and was also able to arrange a new bus trip to the next place. We were also allowed to use 1 room until 6 on the last day to shower because we only had the bus at 7.

• Joseph (9/5): Made our visit easy - We absolutely loved Tam coc valley, unfortunately we fell ill whilst here so did have to spend a lot of time in the room. However, because the rooms were so lovely we did not mind. The scenery around the room is lovely and you get a nice outside seating area to enjoy the views. The bathroom is a great size too. The staff were amazing, overall highly recommend. Only negative would be it’s a bit far out from most things but you can rent bikes from the homestay which makes it easy to get around.

• Aoife (10/5): Exceptional - Had a fantastic stay here at Tam Coc Valley Homestay. In a great location surrounded by the mountains, a few minutes away from the small village. We rented a motorbike off the owner for the two days and it was the best way to see everything and to get to and from the village. The bungalow was lovely, very clean with a good shower. If the weather was warmer, there was a good sized swimming pool that I would have liked to use. A good breakfast was available every morning with a good selection on the menu. Highly recommend staying here.

Hot water and comfortable beds. The owners don’t speak a lot of English but they didn’t leave until they answered any questions I had, showed they really care to help out! Much recommended!!

Bedrooms had everything we needed and breakfast was fantastic. The hosts went above and beyond and on our last day when we had checked out and were waiting for our sleeper bus they invited us to join them for a family meal. Nothing!

• Teri (10/5): What a lovely place. - I can’t speak any more highly of the owners. They went out of their way on more than one occasion to help me out. The room is good, hot and cold air. It’s a walk from town about 30 mins but I’m a walker I liked it, plus the are is so beautiful! The pagoda is at the end of the road (like 5 mins walk) and lovely early in the morning (before tourists) and thanks to their directions I had a brilliant time.

Even though it’s a bit outside the city center, we chose to stay here for the added privacy. • Liisa (10/5): Me and my friend enjoyed the stay so much that we prolonged it - Amazing hotel with a pool in the mountains of Tam Coc area. I was there with a friend and we found this hotel so comfortable and the location so great that we extended our stay from a couple of days to a week. I loved the super friendly and helpful staff, the very comfortable room with air conditioning and also heating (because north of Vietnam gets cold in the winter, but this place also had heating in the room!) and we enjoyed the possibility to rent bikes, because the property was very close to a lot of great sightseeing places, reachable by bike!

• Len (7/5): Good in summertime - bathrooms need renovation and more frequent use - The staff was very friendly. There is a huge pool outside, which must be great in the summer months. The rooms are located at the side of the yard which gives a valley feeling. Also the nature around the homestay is pretty good. The room was very old furnished. Especially the bathroom stank a little bit and was not very welcoming, with no decoration at all. It seemed like the hoel was not really in use at all. Also the AC did not work, altough it was winter time, so we were freezing.

We were able to park our motorcycles right outside of our accommodation. Breakfast was good and didn’t cost much but no prices advertised for this. Very good value for money overall. It was very quiet while we were there and we had the pool to ourselves. Unfortunately there is a large building under construction behind where the pretty fan sign is at the end of the pool. It is a big eyesore and workers arrive from 7am weekdays and on a Saturday.

• Jack (9/5): Superb - Beautiful setting, modern room which was impeccably clean. Very friendly & helpful staff. Some construction noise from behind the property early in the morning which was really loud & shook the room… but I don’t think this is a regular thing & definitely not their fault.

• Niamh (10/5): Excellent - We had the most beautiful 2 night stay at this homestay in Tam Coc. The family were so kind and accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The room was perfect, very clean and comfortable with air conditioning and access to the swimming pool. It's only a short drive in to the town centre and the family rented us a scooter for 2 days to get around and also made recommendations of where to go. Such great value for money, definitely stay here if you're visiting Tam Coc in the future
• Breda (10/5): Exceptional - This homestay is something special. They have everything what you need or they can organise it. It has very Nice location to do bycikle trips around, they have good restaurant, beautiful pool and friendly staff. It is in quiet location. Highly recommend.
