Ryan (7/5): Nice stay for conference purposes - definitely choose the best room option as there is a noticeable difference. - I was upgraded to apparently the best room. It was big and spacious. I was briefly in a regular room at first - the beds in the regular room are not as comfy as the best room. Pillows very soft. Taxi/delivery apps find it very easy to access. I did not try the breakfast/bar/pool so can not comment on that. Close to the conference hall so suited my purpose. Airport is around 40 ninite drive away. It is inside the pick-up zone for Yala safaris. Staff are pleasant. Cafe connected to the hotel is pleasant enough. Shower has shampoo/condotioner/body wash and also came with toothbrush and toothpaste (Did not use but useful to have just in case). Air conditioner worked okay. No problem with noise at all. No street dogs around the property which was good. Lift music is mozart which is a nice touch. The bath had a few hairs in - I think this was missed because they quickly cleaned it to upgraded me. Can not complain really… The fridge does not really make things cold.

Having to pay after every meal and drink, not being able to 'put it on the room'. Make up of the room never consistent

Mohamed Haniffa (1/5): When I arrived at hotel, I was informed that no rooms were available due to an event - When I arrived at Trillium Boutique City Hotel, I was informed that all rooms were fully booked due to an event, and my reservation could not be honored. This was despite clearly indicating a late check-in, which had already been confirmed by the property. I was not informed in advance about this issue, and no alternative arrangement was provided upon arrival. As a result, I had to find another place to stay at the last minute, which was very stressful and inconvenient. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would strongly recommend that the property improve its booking management and communication with guests to avoid such situations.

Ferry (9/5): Wonderful, tranquil hotel - The room was spacious, and the beds were firm and comfortable. The breakfast sometimes was a buffet, other times a choice between American breakfast or Sri Lankan, both were a great way to start the day. The rooftop pool was a wonderful place to cool down after a warm day in Colombo, with a great view, a good meal and a delicious cocktail. We would definitely return here if we come back to Colombo.

We had sent one message via booking and two emails directly to the hotel before our arrival, confirming timings and the twin bed booking and they never replied. Upon arrival we were informed they had no twi beds (they only told us after they made us pay!!) and also that there was no ither option!!!! The room they ended up giving us was dirty, the carpet was burnt in some areas! Awful breakfast and awful customer service!

One downside was the lack of flexibility from management. I came there for busuiness trip, one was morning and other one was afternoon. I had requested late check-in and late check-out in advance and was willing to pay, but this was not accommodated, even though the hotel was not very busy. I admit I missed their latest message, which may have contributed to the issue, but overall it still disrupted my plans. with bad climate, I had to find another place for my family to stay for the next five hours.

TIPHAINE (10/5): Très bon séjour et personnel très arrangeant. - Hôtel très bien équipé avec du personnel très gentil et dispo. La chambre était très spacieuse. Le summum le rooftop avec sa piscine. Par cette chaleur c’était vraiment top. Nous avons pu laisser nos bagages et profiter de la piscine jusqu’à notre départ en fin d’après-midi pour l’aéroport.

Abeyewardene (1/5): Geen aanrader - Niks Slechte service. Door een slecht ervaring bij een ander hotel eerder deze reis hebben wij besloten om altijd de kamer te checken voordat wij zouden betalen. Toen wij aankwamen vroegen wij de receptioniste of wij de kamer mochten zien, dit ging zij overleggen met haar manager en het antwoord was nee. Hierbij legde wij uit dat ik zwanger ben en niet in een vieze ruimte wil overnachten en hier toonde ze geen begrip voor. Als er niks mis zou zijn met de kamer dan hadden ze er niet zo mysterieus en moeilijk over doen. Dus zijn wij weggegaan en zijn zij alsnog een klant verloren. Geen aanrader!!

Staying on the rooftop with pool is awasome from morning till night. Chefs are cooking brilliantly. We could compare after 3 weeks. The area around is like a small jungle with birds.

Joanna (3/5): Unfriendly staff - Our stay at Trillium Boutique City Hotel in Colombo was unfortunately disappointing, mainly due to the experience we had upon arrival. When we arrived to check in, the reception staff did not seem welcoming. We had booked and paid for a room for two adults and one child (16 years old), yet the receptionist appeared hesitant about our booking. She called someone who seemed to be the manager, and we were questioned about our stay in a way that made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We had simply booked the room to shower and freshen up before heading to the airport for our flight, but that wasn’t really the point — the room had already been reserved and paid for according to the hotel’s policy. The situation at reception gave us the impression that they didn’t really want to accommodate us because we were two adults and a child. What made the experience stand out even more was that during our entire two-week trip around Sri Lanka, we experienced nothing but warm and friendly hospitality everywhere else. This was the first time we encountered customer service that felt unfriendly and unwelcoming. While the hotel itself may have its positives, the initial interaction with staff unfortunately left a poor impression of our stay.

Kalpanee (5/5): It's a good place but - I liked the location of the place and how conveninet it for for us to go to places. I stayed there for the birthday of my partner so I checked in early and told the lady at the reception to keep the cake i brought for him in their fridge, which she happily did so, and she also said that she will put up a reminder for the staff to bring the cake by 11.45pm sharp. She actually had done so because when i called the reception at 11.30 to be double sure, the reminder was in place. Our Air Conditioner was not working for hours and when we informed that, two of the staff came and fixed it. However, the listing at booking.com mentioned soundproof rooms which was not correct. We heard the next room's resident coughing and sneezing, and it was uncomfortable knowing that he must be hearing the same. The room had a weird smell, possibly coming from the carpets and the bathroom also was smelling weird. They were cleaned properly but I guess there's some internal plumbing issue. The description of booking.com says TV with cable channels however, the TV in the room had no connection. It was just a TV plugged to the wall without any connection. When we called the reception to ask whether there are any channels or connection available, they said they will come and check, but no one came. There is no hair dryer in the bathroom as mentioned in booking.com and I had to keep my hair wet the whole time after the shower. Me and my partner did put up a Charcuterie board along with a bottle of wine, and all we wanted was a butter knife and two glasses of wine to which the staff initially said no. We didn't want to ruin our moment so we were going to buy two glasses of wine from the outside, and only then the guy at the reception informed us that he took "permission" from the management to allow us to have two glasses of wine. Even after that, the glasses they gave were not wine glasses and they were in fact bigger than the bottle of wine itself.
Nicolas (5/5): - Era vicino alle zone sempre a pochi minuti in Tuk tuk, i mobili erano di qualità, il letto era buono e lo staff davvero gentile e professionale, penso che il punto principale di questo hotel sono i suoi lavoratori. Il Rooftop devo dire che è una ciliegina sulla torta, un'ottimo posto con una bella piscina pulita, i prezzi delle bevande sono standard di hotel (quindi alto), Purtroppo l'infrastruttura dell'hotel è datata e possono creare problemi, elettricità che salta, prese che non funzionano, moquette in fin di vita e idromassaggio che ci mette talmente tanto a riempirsi rendendo impossibile utilizzarla. Purtroppo l'infrastruttura datata crea un'atmosfera di finto lusso scadente. Purtroppo la vista dell'Hotel non è gradita e le terrazze sono sporche di cacca di uccello.
wes (7/5): All in all,. worth the money after a good discount. - The pool on the roof top was well maintained and large enough to enjoy a swim. Around the pool,. the restaurant area was spacious and comfortable. Poor WiFi. The tv (run on the wifi) continually buffered. If you are relying on a strong signal - think again !

When we firstly checked-in we had room with dirty towels & sheets. Shower room was full of someone's hair. Next day moved to another room, it was much cleaner. No hangers in the room. Need to work more on cleanliness.

You can literally hear and smell ur friend shitting in the washroom as it is open from the top The manager there tried to attack us physically and abused us. He was very racist and not cooperative at all.

Room service just came when they wanted to and cleaned just partially the room. Soap wasn’t filled up, wet towel were take but not replaced etc
