Nicolette (3/5): Poor - Tbe only positive points are RIchard and the location I would like to see the 4 star rating please? We had a large group booking, 5 of tje bookings for 2 nights and 8 bookings for 1 night, totalling to over R35 000.00 if not more. Not one single room did not have a problem. We had rooms where light fittings were hanging loose, toilets loose from the floor, water leaking everywhere. Four adults booked into a room where the shower is glass and it is hanging off cableties. We even had gusests complaining about bedbugs, showers overflowing because of poor drainage. As a regular traveller, this was not worth the money. Richard was amazing but one person can only do so much. Serious maintenance need to be done

As we were the only ones that booked there on arrival they took as to our room and the room was not even prepared at all . No bed was made up or the room not was not serviced Moldy smell inside and really not up to standard . The entire facility needs to be regraded and Booking.com should send people out to inspect the property . Not good for Booking.com as we never before had issues with our bookings. I would please like to get feedback on this regard

Jaclyn711 (6/5): Basic accomodation - Came here for a wedding that was at a venue nearby. Very basic accomodation on a large property that seems like houses that have been converted to "hotel rooms". Very comfy bed and clean room. I left my charger behind and they kept it for me. Poor value for money. Struggled to find the right room. The property doesn't look like it's cared for with some broken windows and cracks in the outside walls that needs attention and paint. Odd setup in our room- you enter to a bedroom that has a door which is attached to an empty kitchen and corridor with many locked doors and the only open door was the bathroom. Buffet breakfast had very little because people earlier had eaten most of the food.

Thuli (4/5): - Property is not well taken care of. Room that we received was deteriorated and had to ask to be moved to a better room, which also was not the best. Service was very average. No effort was made to make sure the guests are comfortable. The only person that stood out for the better was the chef. Overall my family and I didn't enjoy the stay at all. We even cut our trip short and left early. Poor overall experience. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The owners or the managers need to relook at the place and really upgrade it

King (4/5): I got catfished by the photos, poor property management. - The only thing that was nice was the rooms were comfortable and staff friendly I felt catfished, the photos don’t look like the reality. It said there was a gym facility but the machines were old, dirty and not working. It was very disappointing. Dinner menu wasn’t good at all, worst ribs I’ve ever tasted. Breakfast as okay but not much of a variety. The lights in one of the bedrooms weren’t working and in the passage. They don’t even have soap or even a hand soap, the bathroom only had 2 old little bottles of body lotion and a shower cap. Toilet had seen better days, some of the windows didn’t even open.
Nokubonga (5/5): Graceland conference and lifestyle centre - The location was quite, check in process was easy and quick. The rooms were clean and neat. The main pool was also clean. I enjoyed the breakfast and there was variety interms of the food. The whole place was clean. The food in the evening took so long, we waited for about an hour on the day we checked in. The bar does not have a lot of alcohol and it is not an easy process to order. There is a challenge with parking. I was given a parking, i went out and when i came back it was allocated to someone else. There was poor communication on the 31st as we were not informed were food will be served. They need to improve on the play area as some items are damaged.
Patricia (6/5): Horrible experience - The booking included the breakfast but we never had breakfast, because when we arrived at the breakfast area it was 9:20am and the food was already finished, we tried asking for food but they told us they are not issuing anything anymore. We can't blame the staff the management are the problem because they gave the staff insufficient stock to prepare breakfast for guests, you cant say breakfast is from 7am to 10:30am but 9:20 there's no food. Meaning the property is misleading the guests, worst we had kids with us who were hungry, we had to check out and drive 17km to get shops to buy food. The electricity keep going on and off, by 5 am unbearable noise coming on top of the roof done by monkeys there, when i wake up my car was filthy dirty with mud, those monkeys were playing on top of my car, i have been in places with monkeys in Mpumalanga and Durban i have never experienced such horror with Monkeys.

The garden surrounding the rooms was not taken care of. The grass was tall, and I felt very unsafe cause I am scared of spiders, scorpions and snakes. I found some poo of lizard in in kitchen and bathroom and the cleaner was not even apologetic when I asked for that to be removed instead, she gave me an attitude as if there is something wrong with me. The bath had lot of dust when I checked in.

This helped to manage our expectations. lack of dust bins on the premises to throw away trash when you were out and about. A dust bin is needed by the pools and deck area.

Christina (2/5): breakfast service improvements - the place was clean and the receptionist was very helpful. the breakfast service was very slow. the team was understaffed and they are not proactive. e.g the chef does not prepare scrambled eggs in advance. he prepare eggs on an order basis which is time consuming. they also prepare dishes one by one. the youghurt juice etc was finished and they take long to refill.
Precious (5/5): Nothing fascinating at all except for the great company from other visitors. - Good place for kids to play with clean pools The service level of the staff is so bad. You constantly ask for things like teaspoon and they would take close to 3hrs just to bring. Power goes off without us being notified and there’s no explaining of it. You order food and it takes forever and by the time you receive it, it’s wrong order. Slowness is bizarre.

Maybe if the massage rooms could have installed speakers for the music to be more audible, my therapist used her phone for music

The shower spout was not working properly, the furniture is not in good condition. The pictures you see on the website are not a true reflection of what you see on the internet.

My stay was just ok - The place needs to be renovated.The was rust in the shower and when you shower the water goes out the shower.the walls need new painting. The swimming area smells urine The room was dull Water goes out the shower when you shower Lots of inserts in the room my kids didn’t like that at all

Breakfast was limited with no variety Communication from the rooms one had to walk to the reception no phones to call.

Mick (2/5): Not what it looks like, disappointing all round - The photographer who took the pics is the best in the country, gave one positive expectations. The staff try very hard under difficult circumstances. The place isn't at all as advertised. We stayed one night and had multiple issues. A few interesting ones: we needed 5 swimming towels and were told only 2 available. Mattress was on such a big bed frame. It was ridiculous. The plug for the bedside lamp was hanging off a cord halfway down the wall out of reach. Bath towels very threadbare. The all-day menu wasn't available. Placemats in restaurant had old food bits on them. Whole property is run down, big hole that used to be something - a pool? We had 2 bathrooms; both handles didn't work from the inside, so one door wouldn't close, and the other locked you inside. Main pool had 3 sunbeds in sight for entire hotel. For the money, there are dozens of better places to stay in the area.
