- Renate (6/5): Ondanks teleurstelling over een aantal zaken een fijn hotel - De locatie, vlakbij het oude centrum, was fijn. De bedden waren comfortabel en de kamers zeer groot en schoon. Vanwege een geannuleerde vlucht moest ik noodgedwongen een dag eerder vertrekken waardoor ik een nacht in mindering wilde brengen. Er waren weinig tegemoetkomingen over het kunnen douchen bijvoorbeeld, terwijl door booking.com een groot bedrag aan annuleringskosten in rekening werd gebracht. Er werd gezegd dat voor gasten die via booking.com hebben geboekt, andere regels gelden. Het viel me wat tegen van een redelijk prijzig hotel zoals dit. Het personeel was wel erg vriendelijk verder.

- 74jefferyb (10/5): A hidden gem in Jakarta — security, scent, gym, infinity pool, and even a connected mall - My wife and I recently stayed at Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada, and honestly, it exceeded expectations in ways I didn't expect. Security first – The very first thing my wife noticed when our Grab car pulled into the drop-off area was the hotel security checkpoint. Security guards came to inspect our car before letting us through. That small act gave us immediate peace of mind that our safety was taken seriously. The scent of the hotel – This might sound unusual, but the hotel smells amazing. The lobby has this beautiful Bali-like fragrance, and the restrooms smell fresh and tropical. I asked a staff member how they do it, and she told me the fragrances are emitted through ventilation outlets in the ceiling. Everywhere just smells good. It’s a lovely touch. Gym & infinity pool – The gym is on the 8th floor. My wife is an active gym user, and she pointed out that all the equipment is top notch. Right next to the gym is the infinity pool, which overlooks the city. The view is beautiful — perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The staff – Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They all speak English, which helped us a lot. (I can speak Bahasa Indonesia, but only if they speak slowly to me 🤭) The hidden gem – I have to mention this because I almost missed it. There's a "tiny" shopping mall called Citywalk that shares the same building complex as the hotel. There's a connected door from the hotel lobby that leads directly into the mall area. I kid you not — it's super convenient for grabbing a bite or just walking around. Overall – Clean room, great amenities, excellent service, and thoughtful little touches everywhere. Nothing bad to say at all. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you to Rika Marlina and the entire team for a memorable stay.

Spotlessly clean hotel with large rooms, great pool good breakfast and very comfortable Located not far from the old town which is a tricky 20 minute walk or about the same in a taxi. The staff were great and there is a decent spa with good priced treatments.

- NI3-279 (6/5): Good option but looking for some improvement - It is a good value IHG hotel for your trips but I always find it busy during my visits. Due to the high number of bookings & movement of guests I have experienced delays at the reception area and breakfast at level 3 has been extremely busy.Not sure if anything they could do with that but as a traveller best to keep additional time in hand with you as a traveller.

- 622dinis (10/5): ALL ASPECT 5 STAR RATE FOR THIS HOTEL - I stayed for one night as a business traveler and was very satisfied with every aspect of my stay at this hotel. The cleanliness is top-notch, and the room size is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of food options to suit different tastes. In terms of value for money, it is very affordable considering the excellent facilities provided. The service was amazing—staff were attentive and welcoming throughout my stay. The location is also perfect, within walking distance to Petak 6, where you can explore a great selection of local food. I will definitely be coming back again.

- Colin (6/5): OK hotel with terrible restaurant - Nice hotel with good facilities. Most staff were pleasant. The restaurant was awful. Food was poor and service very slow. When our food arrived, they turned off the background music and started rearranging the tables and chairs all around us. This made it an unpleasant experience. When we complained when leaving, the woman taking our money just smiled and reacted like we were complimenting her! We also had a call from reception asking how our stay was. We told them about the bad experience at the restaurant, but they just thanked us for our answer and made no attempt at apologising or improving things. If you are not going to react to criticism, don't bother asking.

Good location in old town, very clean and comfortable, great views of Jakarta, and one of the best breakfast buffets. The breakfast buffet was lavish, with Indonesian, western, and other cuisines represented.
- Stanley (8/5): Overall it is nice to stay - Breakfast is OK, and the location is close to the China town, but the MRT project is make the traffic very crowded around the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The safe box was not work well even the staff set it when the first day I checked in, but it couldn't use again after a few days. Spa girl massage was not professional and the service time was less than price list.

Close to Chinatown, that was an advantage for us. Very clean! Very loud aircon and strange smell in the room. One can live with that but it kept bugging me.

Please place/put more sofa and chairs for guest in the main lobby as it is now inadequate.

The staff were especially impressive—they always listened carefully to guests’ requests and did their best to resolve them. I would definitely love to stay here again on my next visit. There isn’t really anything to improve, but if I had to mention one downside, it would be that there was heavy traffic in front of the hotel due to ongoing construction.

I am thankful to Bapak Alto Manager and his lovely Front office team for their hospitality, providing a balance between customer service and accountability. Thank you Bp. Alto. My wife and I are so fascinated and really surprised with the Breakfast on the 3rd floor. Its one of the Best Buffet Breakfast in the World. I have been travelling to 24 countries and 75 cities plus 3 cruises including Alaska and Mediterranean. From my travel experiences, this Holiday In Breakfast buffet is unbeatable. From Quality, Variety, friendliness, and the hospitality of the Master Chef, Chefs, Supervisor, and Receptionist, they all have made us feel being at home in Indonesia. Its a highly performance of Quality, Quantity, Human Resource, Team Work and Customer Service. Well done job! I would like to thank you to Mr. Yadi, Mr. Jimmy, Mr. Aji, Mr. Entis, Mr. Tejo and Ms.Ardita.
