• Veronica (10/5): - The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming. The room and bathroom was impeccably clean; the bed linens were great and the bed was comfortable. There was a small living room/dining area for guests which always had hot water for tea, coffee and filtered water. There was also filtered water in the room. The place is rustic but very, very pleasant. The breakfast offerings were tasty and substantial.

And the best staff! So caring and ready to help!

• Christine (10/5): - This hotel really made our stay in Salento wonderful. We got a large room upstairs with a king sized bed. The beds were so comfortable and the showers hot with great water pressure. The rooms and common space were decorated well, with cute porches and hammocks outside. The hotel is located walking distance to downtown and entre bosques coffee farm. The best part of staying here was the staff. Valentina and Yidleydi went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed (restaurants, coffee tours, etc). Orlando who works there even drove his motorbike for us to follow him to get air in our tires. Make SURE you take advantage of the wonderful spa experiences Gisele and Natalia provide! Gisele was so wonderful, applying aloe to our sunburns and bug bites. I would recommend noise cancelling headphones and/or white noise if you are a light sleeper. But overall we loved staying here.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Good hotel with no respect for data privacy. - Hotel Terasu remains a good property in Salento but be prepared for the management to spam your WhatsApp with unsolicited commercial messages offering additional services or requesting that you hashtag them in social media posts. I blocked the first message so they pestered me from a new number, at which point I complained to them. Colombian Ley 1581 de 2012 requires companies to obtain consent for each specific use of personal data. Hotel Terasu receives mobile numbers with the bookings and wrongly presumes it is OK for them to use this for marketing, cross-selling, and social media strategy. It is not OK, it is plain illegal under Colombian law. One could wonder what other Colombian laws this hotel does not care about. If for some reason you like being bothered by intrusive, unprofessional and juvenile WhatsApp messages then Hotel Terasu is definitely the perfect option in Salento. The hotel would do well to reconsider its policy, especially since it is not lawful and could result in complaints to the Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo.

The breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit everyday! My mother and i purchased one of their massages and loved it. Five minutes to town by car. Will definitely be going back!
• Scott (8/5): Well located but flawed - Hotel was well located, 10 minutes walk from town, be warned if you are coming on the bus with luggage! Daily breakfast was very good and the hotel grounds were nice as well with Sauna, jacuzzi and massages available. Each room also had a terrace with a hammock and chairs to relax in as well as a nice communal area. The rooms visually looked very nice, however they were not soundproofed and would wake up several times in the night due to the noise. The fridge in the room was very noisy and the compressor would kick in frequently making a lot of noise. The fridge wasn't in a cabinet so sound came directly in the room. No in room safe and there is no fan or AC in the room, it was ok whilst we were there with overnight temps of about 15c, but would be a struggle to sleep if it was hotter. Overall the hotel was nice, but some details and the soundproofing let it down.

• Ana Maria (10/5): - The property is absolutely beautiful with tons of orchids everywhere. Rooms where comfortable and was great to have a hammock on the terrace. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We took the coffee/horseback riding tour and it was great! The sauna and hot tubs were amazing, we got to use them every night. Every night there’s a fire pit very nice to hang out in. The massages were great and the massage therapist was excellent. My only suggestion would be to add a door to the spa and more vegetation at the top for added privacy.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, huge comfortable bed, loved having a hot tub and sauna on site (free to use) and I enjoyed a very relaxing massage by the hotel masseur also. Views from the terrace are amazing and we loved having a drink and our breakfast up there. Good choices for breakfast, plenty of fruit and bread and the most delicious guava juice too! No restaurant on site but less than 10 minute walk to Salento main square. I only wish we could have stayed longer at Terasu!

Mini fridge inside ( beverages not included) Close to the town, variety of places to eat around the area , family friendly hotel, safe around the area, lots of foreigners in the hotel (im Colombian, so it made me happy to see people from other countries visiting our beautiful country :) Beautiful weather,hot during the day chilly at night CONs- when i booked this hotel no one mention in the reviews that this hotel is right across of a cemetery ( nervous laugh haha) I freaked out a little but its not that serious i guess. The Water was shut down i believe after 9pm and didn’t come back until morning ( also not a big deal, i just feel like they should notify guests. I brushed my teeth with a water bottle they offered in the room. I had showered before too so that was ok ! Water coming back early morning made some loud and strange sounds so it scared me a little bit haha . I brought a car , parking space is not inside the hotel and it only has like 2 spots available in front of the hotel (to keep in mind)Mosquitoes everywhere so be prepared to bring your bug repellent! They left me so many love bites haha! Overall - I would deff come back and spend more time here . We only stayed for 1 night. Nature views and breakfast 10/10 ❤️

Good bed and walk in shower. Not much furniture - could do with a desk or similiar. Nice balcony/terrace with chairs, hammock and mountain view - top floor rooms are best. Very friendly, helpful staff. Owner is Colombian but lived in UK for long period. Good breakfast. Sauna and jacuzzi on site. Massage can be arranged, along with any tours or activities. Nice, quiet spot on edge of town but only 10 mins to walk in. We enjoyed our stay.

Luis was extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great. Highly recommend Bumi restaurant which is close by and the tour of Kasaguadua nature reserve (also close by). I would suggest a room on the 2nd floor if in the building closest to the road. There is not a lot of sound proofing in the rooms, but a minor thing in an overall wonderful stay.

• Robert (10/5): B-E-S-T Hotel in Salento Area! - The photos are perfect, and give you the atmosphere, attitude, and attention this hotel will show you from the moment you arrive at their front door to the second you leave. AMAZING. Superb location -- a nice 10 minute walk to the main plaza. Incredible staff -- there is NO ask they cannot address, and their attention to your comfort and needs is endless. They arranged each and every item and event we asked and more. Comfortable and cozy rooms -- balconies and hammocks, soft bedding, HOT showers, great decor, etc. You cannot be unhappy there. First-rate breakfast -- each dish delicious, made to order, and presented expertly. All in all... we LOVED this place and will be returning very soon for another life recharge!

• NORMAN (10/5): Excellent choice - Home away from home. Lovingly tended gardens, great views, hot tubs and sauna, and the most wonderful staff. Individually prepared breakfasts were outstanding. Room was great- roomy, with a nice shower, ample towels, comfy bed. We were sick part of the time. Luis- who is a tremendous bilingual asset- made sure we were attended to, arranged a good doctor, and generally looked after us with the rest of the team. Easy walk 10 min across the footbridge to town, with a couple of nice restaurants even closer. Highly recommend.

Once you’ve done that, you chill in the jacuzzis at the hotel which is also very appreciable. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and modern. Amazing views, in a peaceful neighborhood. Staff is absolutely delightful.

Rooms are fairly modern, comfortable bed with Netfix on TV. Nice hammock on the balconies. Breakfast was decent and fast. Service was disappointing. Not helpful in trying to arrange taxis to Cocora Valley and most disappointing when we arrived back after a coffee tour we found the staff removing our bags from our room despite arriving well before check-out time. This is unacceptable and lose trust in the staff accessing the room without our consent. Very unprofessional.

Le service et la propreté sont parfaits. Le seul petit bémol ce serait le lit un peu petit en longueur mais sinon la chambre est confortable et avec un hamac! Encore merci pour l'accueil !

Spend there my birthday this and this was a great decision. Hotel is very conveniently located, close from the downtown, but at the same time in a more calm area which allows you to rest. Free paring and internet. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. They event organized a small gift for my birthday, which was so kind. They are going above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable (e.g. I had to work during my stay and they were offering me free coffee without even me asking).

• Kevin (10/5): - This hotel and its staff was a GEM! Where to start? * It is a small boutique style hotel that is super cute. Both the buildings and the garden is extremely well taken care of. * Natalia was the person we dealt with all the time and she was FANTASTIC. Very professional, friendly, helpful, sweet... Honestly, it is hard to imagine our stay there without her. She was lovely. She goes out of her way to make you happy during your stay. For example: We arrived just when it started pouring down, so she had us go to our room first and did the check in later for our convenience. Since it was pouring down raining, she sent us a couple of dinner options from restaurants and ordered the food for us. * The room is not huge but everything is well thought of. You have a mini fridge, a hammock and 2-3 comfortable seats, hair-dryer, very nice shampoos/conditioners etc. Really an amazing value you get for the price you pay. * Breakfast has some variety you can choose from and is very well done and presented very nicely. You are pretty full and satisfied. * They do not have plastic bottles etc which I appreciated. They provide water for you to fill up your reusable bottle. I loved that this was available. * The location is excellent. You are 10min walking distance to the plaza (which probably gets loud at night) in a quiet area. Overall, I would go back to Salento and to this hotel in a heartbeat!

The staff are so friendly and are willing to help if you need anything, from restaurant recommendations to booking taxis. It feels like a home away from home as it's a smallish hotel so it is very peaceful. The rooms are really spacious and the beds are massive and so comfortable! The breakfast is good and perfect if you're going on a hike etc. and need fuel for a long day. There are eggs and fruit. There is a great balcony with comfy chairs to relax on and read as the sun sets. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the centre of town so close but not too close that you here any noise from the bars. We made a trip to their sister hotel, Kawa. This was also a beautiful hotel and sells great wine to take away if you are a bit sick of beer. We were very sad to leave as it was such a wonderful four nights!
• Wei (8/5): - Clean, quite hotel with good location. Breakfast is excellent, service is good with plenty space for parking. Dinner is tasty. Staff are friendly. Easy access to everywhere by Uber. Highly recommended.
• SB (8/5): - The staff at the hotel really make the stay special. Everyone goes above and beyond to be accommodating, to provide recommendations and to ensure you're pleased with your stay. The hotel is in a great location a short walk from the city centre and has beautiful views. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends!
• Trevor (10/5): - Amazing new hotel, with views of the hills from the rooftop breakfast nook. The staff were helpful on how to get around and very accommodating when we asked any questions. The breakfast was good and the check in was quick and easy. It’s about a 5 min walk into the square, which is nice because it offers quiet in the evening but is still in walking distance to the action.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Ist was very loud in the Condo! Poorly soundproofed! You could hear all from Outsider and from the neighbours!
• Michael (10/5): - The hotel is right off the main village, a short 5 mom walk from the main square so you are close to everything but not too close to hear all the noise. The staff was great, the guys at the reception spoke English well (hard to find in Colombia) and were very helpful in recommending things to do, where to eat, where to try the local game etc. I really can't fault this hotel, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. The balcony is also nice. Breakfast had plenty of tasty fruit and you have an option of how to get your eggs. The only thing I didn't like was the noise in the wooden houses, you an hear everything outside. Thankful at some point the street noise stops as it's outside the village. But this is not something the hotel can control so I can't really fault them for it.

• Karina (10/5): - We loved our stay at Hotel Terasu. It's a 10 minute walk from the town center but it is completely safe to walk around late at night. It's a gorgeous hotel with wonderful staff. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was as if we were in our own little resort. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It was really wonderful :-)
• Dušan (10/5): - The hotel is located slightly outside the town, and this location lets you have good night's sleep, while being only 10 minutes away from anywhere in the town. The staff is very helpful, and they had answers (and patience) to our numerous questions

The staff were very helpful (they sent a car at the last minute when our flight was delayed and they waited for our arrival), the room and premises were immaculate and the view was beautiful and peaceful. The area was quiet and close to the city centre - 5 min walk. The hotel was located on the main road leading there also. So good!!
