• Janna (9/5): Spacious, Comfortable and Clean! - The apartment we stayed in was very spacious, comfortable and clean! It had a very nice view as well! The kitchen was well equipped and the breakfast provided was quite nice. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating! The location was a bit off the beaten path. However, it was near enough to navigate into town and to the national parque where we spent a couple days.

• Jane (9/5): Great hotel with friendly and attentive staff. - Hotel was a lovely place to stay as a base for exploring Patagonia. We stayed here and took different excursions each day. Nice breakfast each morning, and staff very attentive and helpful in exploring things to do. Hotel is slightly out of town, but we had a rental car so not a problem...very easy access to the town centre for meals and routes to the parks.

La construcción es muy original y la ubicación perfecta (a las afueras de Puerto Natales, con vistas al fiordo, a la montaña y a los glaciares). Las habitaciones son cómodas y bien equipadas. El desayuno, absolutamente personalizado y particular, es extraordinario. No está en el centro de Puerto Natales pero el acceso es muy sencillo (porque está a escasos 5 minutos) y barato (6 euros desde el centro) tanto en taxi como en Uber. La calidad del queso del desayuno.
• Kamila (10/5): - Lule and Heliodoro and everyone else was very friendly and made our stay so comfortable. We felt so welcomed, the breakfast service and attention to detail was amazing. We got great recommendations for excursions, and when we had issues booking flights Lule helped us with that as well. The views from living room/kitchen on sunset where added plus. We liked it so much that after W trek we came back for one extra night to relax before heading to El Calafate, sleeping again in the comfy bed felt great.

• Guido (9/5): Home away from home - The owners care about their guests in a very personal way and made us feel at home. They helped us with excellent restaurant recommendations. Heliodoro organized a private tour to Torres del Paine with a great driver/guide. The room and the whole house are spotlessly clean and the hotel is furnished in a very charming way. A very rich breakfast was prepared for us every morning. Be aware that you cannot walk anywhere from the hotel. Taxis are available and not expensive, but in hindsight we would probably have preferred to rent a car

Quiet location on outskirts of the town with great views. Wonderful individually served breakfast. Access to the property is via a very bumpy, unpaved roadway.

• Stephanie (8/5): Comfortable, a home away from home! - It was a unique and interestingly decorated property and reflected the owners’ personal travel and collection of beautiful eclectic pieces. The owners were also very personable, warm and helpful in guiding us in planning our trip to see the sights. Loved having breakfast and chilling in the dining/kitchen area as we were the only family staying there. Also loved that even though it’s like a home, the rooms were like hotel rooms each having an ensuite bathroom. For our family of five, we had the a triple room for our three youths and a double room for us. Also loved the fact that it was close to the town and an easy drive to Torres Del Paine and nearby sights. The road leading to the property gate was bumpy with potholes.. it needed resurfacing.. but to be fair, many roads needed resurfacing, including one leading to Torres Del Paine.

Our hosts Helio and Luz were very friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It was a beautiful boutique hotel with fabulous views. I really enjoyed my stay there.

• David (10/5): - We absolutely loved the hospitality and assistance that were provided for our memorable family trip to Patagonia. We particularly appreciated the help securing hiking tours and facilitating our car rental. You went above and beyond expectations and we are very grateful.
• Anita (8/5): - Lule and Helio are very sweet hosts. We got here on Christmas Eve and since we were unsure about getting transportation, we arranged to have Helio pick us up from the airport (it was $50 for pickup and the same for drop off to the airport. We asked for this service since it was our first trip to the Patagonia region and we were nervous about transportation access). If you are able to get a taxi it will definitely be much much cheaper (- all our taxi fares in the city were around $5). The views from our room were gorgeous and the room and bathroom were very nice and clean. We are vegetarian, so our breakfast options were a bit limited - bread with cheese and sliced veggies and scrambled eggs, coffee, fruit salad and yogurt (be aware most yogurt in Chile has gelatin - so something I was not aware of). Maricela and Patricia are very sweet . Lule was thoughtful enough to arrange for soymilk for us, which unfortunately curdled. This was something no one could have predicted. They arranged for private trips to Torres del Paine, a standard cruise to Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers and then a private hike with just us. We had a packed lunch from the hotel that included sandwiches, fruit, yogurt and water for the first trip, which was $25 per person, but on the next trip, we bought bread, cheese, cookies, nuts and water all for less than $15 and it was as delicious. In all, pretty hotel & nice hosts. Expensive, probably due to the Christmas season.

Heliodoro planned and made reservations for our tours and the car we rented. They helped us with everything we needed. Definitely: it's like being at home with all the support a tourist could need. We won’t forget those days and hope to meet you again, Heliodoro and Lule. Everything perfect!
• Hongqing (10/5): Worth to book this house boutique hotel - This hotel is just like a fine art museum. Everything is fantastic. The view is awesome. If take a taxi, the location is no problem Maybe the location. But can easily get a taxi.
• Ankit (10/5): - Like many other properties in this area (Puerto Bories) the access roads are not paved. It’s outside the pickup area for many excursions, so you need to arrange transportation or make it to the location from where your excursion departs. The owners are very helpful and will offer to make all arrangements for you.

• Prashanth (10/5): Fantastic hotel - It’s not a house, it’s a museum! :) Helio and his wife have collected amazing pieces of art, furniture, etc from all over the world and have opened up their home to travelers to enjoy. It’s a great experience to enjoy such a beautiful house. The rooms are nice, the fixtures are of high quality, the breakfast is great! On top of all that the staff is very friendly and helpful. Helio will help you every step of the way to navigate Patagonia - from booking rental cars, excursions and making dinner reservations. Overall a great place to stay. We immensely enjoyed and highly recommend Appelgren House.

The hotel is new and has beautiful views and homy interior. Our room was spacious and comfortable and with a view 😊. The owner gave us great recommendations. He helped us with all the bookings (car, excursions, restaurants). Everything went smoothly. We highly recommend this hotel.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is very quiet, being on a country road outside the main town. This can be a bit inconvenient, because you need to take a taxi to go to/from town for dinner, and some taxi drivers are not familiar with the place. However, the buses for the tours we booked were able to pick us up. Also, the owner picked us up at the airport, which was very nice, and they often helped make dinner reservations and call a taxi. The place is very clean, spacious, and relaxing.
• Ladan (10/5): Beautiful place in a beautiful location with exceptional hosts - The property is beautiful and modern with tasteful design, located in the outskirts of Puerto Natales with beautiful views of the Torres del Paine and the lake. You can feel the nature around you. The cozy living room and kitchen made us feel totally at home. One of the things that made our stay exceptional was Heliodoro (the owner), his wife and the other staff. They are very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They try to get to know their guests so they can make their stay even more pleasant. We were a group of 6 and absolutely loved staying at this place. Nothing. Everything was excellent.

We will absolutely come back if we are ever back to Puerto Natales. Price is very reasonable when considering the quality of service, room and food.
• T.C. (10/5): - Applegren is a boutique hotel with beautiful views of the mountains, the ocean, the high prairie. The architecture is modern, novel, and experiential. The host / owner Heliodoro is welcoming and interesting. The breakfast was delicious with eggs and breakfast meat and service was five great. The highlight was the art and design of the space. The taxi ride cost about $7-12 Chilean Pesos depending on how long we made the cab wait. Families were picking wild berries along the dusty road. Quiet, cute place.

The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay during Christmas. I can’t say enough. This is probably our most pleasant hotel stay as a family, ever; and I’m not exaggerating.

• David (10/5): Truly wonderful stay at an incredible boutique - My girlfriend and I stayed one night at Appelgren House about two weeks ago, and our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! We were planning our trip on the fly, so only booked the stay a couple hours before arriving. Nonetheless, the owner was near the door waiting for us as we pulled in, and was incredibly gracious in welcoming us (even at the late hour). Walking into the house, we were immediately struck by the range of artwork on the walls and in sculptures around the rooms; in discussing with the owner, it turns out these are all pieces he and his wife have collected from their travels around the world...very impressive. After a quick check-in, we were taken up a staircase to our very comfortable and private room. It was late so we didn't stay up too long, but it's worth noting the wifi in the room worked very well (the router is in the room!), and the bed was incredibly comfortable. In the morning we woke up and had a wonderful freshly prepared breakfast at our leisure, before packing up and heading out. The owner stopped by to wish us well in our travel back. I will note is that having a car was helpful to get to Puerto Natales town center (~5 minute drive), but I'm confident we could've easily gotten a taxi even if we couldn't drive. For seeing Torres, it's probably a 45-minute drive to the TdP town, and a bit farther to the park itself, but definitely doable to drive back and forth. We had a wonderful stay, and would highly recommend it to others!
