maineart2001 (2/5): Don't even think about it, it's like the movie, The Shining with Jack Nickolson. - That place should not be open. The place was in complete disrepair. As soon as I turned off to their driveway, I had a bad feeling about this place. Online it was great. Doesn't seem like any upkeep has been done in years. The lawns needed mowing bad. Could not find anyone to check us in. Had to call and someone came over to check us in. The cabin was so hot, we had to stay in our rental till it cooled off. The water was turned off, had to call. The pool was closed. The bar was closed. Lamp post had fallen over exposing wires on the walkway. I said to my girlfriend, "No way I'm going to let you stay here". We got in the rental and drove to Belmopan and got a room at the Yim Saan Hotel. it was a much better place. Kiki reminded me verry much like the Movie, The Shining with Jack Nickolson. Paid $500 and walked away with no refund. It was worth leaving the $500.00. I'm from Maine.

aobfarm (6/5): Could have been great. - Our experience was unfortunate. It appears that the general staff is insufficiently trained to run the property. Restaurant hours were published as 6-8 but was open when they wanted. When we did finally manage to get there when they were open 1.5hrs wait for meals and the orders were wrong. High School kids that seated us and waited on us were untrained and unmotivated. Most of the time we were there they were too busy playing on their phones at the bar to check on the guests while no one had drinks. Other guests had the same experience. My wife had ONE mandatory feature for wherever we stayed - a pool. Unfortunately the pool was not regularly cleaned through the week and after hours staff didn't know how to turn on the lights. So you go and do all the tours, etc and come back to hang out at the pool, in the dark. Hung out the "please clean room" sign only to have staff miss that. Finally to contact the front office to get room cleaned. They seemed to be unable to wrap their heads around having guest all week instead of just over the weekend as things did marginally improve Saturday and Sunday from the looks of it. All in all it is a shame, it's a nice property.
free (6/5): - Could have been great. Nice rooms and a nice looking property when you arrive. Staff does not seem to have the amount of training to properly run a property however. The resort played up the pool and onsite restaurant. Wife wanted the pool, the only big request she had. The pool was not cleaned most of the week and the after hours staff did not know how to turn the lights on. So you have a great day doing things off property and come back to hang out at the pool. In the dark. Restaurant hours were published as 6-8. Sometimes the staff didn't open the restaurant, other times they opened late and closed early. When we did catch up, it took 1.5hrs (no joke) for our food and the orders were wrong. The high school kids working there as water boys and waitresses were (unfortunately) obviously untrained and unmotivated. We sat with empty glasses most of our meal. Other guests had the same experience. Hung out the "please clean room" sign and finally had to complain to get additional linens and towels. The property has potential, no doubt about it. However serious training of staff is needed. Pros - close to the capital so you can go get food, etc. Clean, comfortable room, nice area.
Artem (2/5): - Booked a night at this place. Received confirmation. After 10pm arrived at the property. Office was closed no one could be found to check in. Called multiple times the office number and nobody answered to assist. Long story short I ended up sleeping in the car considering the fact that I already paid for the room. I only received a call back from their office around 11:00 am the following day which didn’t solve anything. After asking them for reimbursement they just laughed and started being all defensive stating that they got nothing to do with it and expedia is the one who needs to be blamed despite the fact that they didn’t have no staff on premises to accommodate their guests. Terrible customer service.
Scarrollglobal (10/5): Great place just outside Belmopan, good central spot from which to explore Belize! - Very nice spot and super friendly and helpful staff and management (thanks Ada!). If business or adventure bring you to Belmopan, stay here. Close to zip-lining and tubing and ATM cave. Stay in the Chamboo cabaña if you can. Very pleasant room. Pool was nice too. Restaurant and pool bar were closed when we stayed, but nice atmosphere at both.
X391RLjuliel (6/5): Manage expectations but we would stay again - We booked a 1 night stay at Kiki Witz for it's location near Belmopan, central to the activities we had planned. Our party was 2 couples with 2 separate cottages reserved. The property management called me via What's App the morning of our stay to inquire about our arrival time. On arrival, the property was very quiet. We learned we would be the only guests staying that evening, a Saturday night in high season. We originally booked 2 units that were going to be a long way apart from each other. The management offered us a 2 bedroom unit instead, but upon looking at the unit, there were no ceilings in the bedrooms (walls, but open above). Due to snoring, we decided to take 2 separate units instead, and they upgraded one couple to the nicer unit and the units were side by side. Management inquired about us having dinner or breakfast on property, so that they could plan. Being the only guests, they were willing to accommodate our time preferences, etc. However, due to the limited menu available, we chose to dine out. (This is reasonable with low occupancy.) The property is right off of the highway but feels quiet on site. The rooms were comfortable and clean but a bit dated. Lighting was somewhat dim in the rooms and bathroom - my husband had difficulty shaving (he's in his 40's, so not too old). The pool area was very nice and the pool appeared clean. In walking the property, it was easy to see the vision and maybe the past glory of the property as a eco-spa or something. We did ask if we could use the pool later than stated hours (9pm closure) in the evening, since we were the only guests - no one to disturb. We were told yes. However, when we returned after dinner at 7:30pm, the lights in the pool area were all off. Again, I understand as we were the only guests that staff were leaving and finishing up things like turning off lights, but it did hamper our ability to enjoy the property. Overall, the property served us well for what we were looking for. I would stay again, especially as the management was so accommodating and kind.
Fiona (2/5): - The customer service was horrible. They gave me a room where the door was unable to open and when I went back to my room around 9PM the door couldnt open and I had to climb into my room through the window and ended up getting a cut. Not to mention there was a roach and spider in my room! Horrible experience!
Jessica (6/5): - The room was clean and had plenty of space. It was close to the freeway but almost too close since you could hear cars and noise from a neighboring cabin or property. Despite there being sort of an attempt at an ecolodge there were no bugs or even frogs to be found-they must spray pesticides or something. Close to art box and 10 min from town.
Zoe (4/5): - We only stayed one night, thankfully, but were very disappointed. We arrived at the property after a warm afternoon of sightseeing, and were looking forward to a nice swim and a cocktail at the swim up bar. After checking in, there were no staff around, the restaurant was empty, and the bar looked like it had never been open. When we found an employee, they said they did not serve alcohol. They did not seem to serve anything really, and there were signs everywhere about no outside food or drink. Our cabin was nice enough, but was right next to the highway, so very noisy. Would not recommend.
I7098NKmiguelr (10/5): A hidden gem - A hidden gem of Diamond quality. Our original booking was in Belize City, but a few weeks before our trip we decided we needed a more central location in Belize and was lucky enough to find the Kiki Witz Resort. I believe our experience improved 100% because of it. Instead of a hotel with shared walls and crowded halls, we had a luxurious cabin set in a beautiful landscape and all the advantages of a full service resort. The staff were not only friendly and efficient, but treated us as their family. Much love to Dell, Rose, and Dorleen (I hope I spelled that right). There's a full restaurant, large multi-depth pool, patio with stage, and even a children's playground. The resort is secure with on-site self-parking. For explorers like us, the central location in Belize allowed us to make day trips to Placencia, Ambergris Caye, San Ignacio, Hopkins, and Belize City. Kiki Witz is a quiet place at night despite being right off the highway. Sitting our porch in the late night air drinking our choice of beverages was heavenly. We didn't do any tours or excursions during our week there, and we didn't get up to Corozal. But we will be back for those, and Kiki Witz will be our home again. We highly recommend it to all.
Sharaya (6/5): - Pros: This property is beautiful and the Hibiscus room was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Cons: We chose this hotel because it had a restaurant and we were unable to get a rental car due to high demand. The restaurant was closed for all meals. When we checked in, we were told there would be breakfast available but the one morning we wanted breakfast, they were not offering it. Note that if you stay here you will absolutely need a car to get around. The taxis into town were quite expensive. I would recommend staying in San Ignacio if you are looking to book excursions into the jungle as most tour operators use that as a jumping off point.
824RachelI (8/5): Pleasant stay at Kiki Witz - The grounds and lodging are very nice and our cook and server for breakfast was wonderful. She was warm, friendly and made a yummy meal! It took a bit to find a staff member when we arrived and that afternoon for questions. Overall, a fine stay.

moisesf623 (10/5): Lost in Belmopan - We were just passing through Belmopan going from Tikal to Mahahual and we decided to rest there. We found nothing to do in Belmopan City, but everything was compensated by the beauty and confort of Kiki Witz resort. The resort is in harmony with nature, there is a river running through the resort in which you can have a dive. The water is worm and the river is deep. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable.

Teresa (10/5): - The overall atmosphere of the place was fantastic. It was far enough off the road that it was quiet, and it felt very secluded. The scenery was beautiful. We enjoyed the short walk to the restaurant and pool. We really can’t comment on the restaurant as we chose not to eat dinner there, as we were not hungry. So of course, the next morning we were starved. And they still were not open by 730. I’m not sure what time they did finally open. Also, being a coffee, lover, having no coffee pot in my room was a bummer. We finally drove into town to find a cup of coffee and breakfast. The pool was lovely. Perfect temperature.
Ian (10/5): Rustic and charming - We stayed in the "glamping" cabins, so the rooms are a bit rustic, but they have everything you need, and the staff was very friendly.

What I did not like was that due to property hosting a wedding the very next day, I had to be inconvenienced as the bar and the kitchen were not open because everyone was busy prepping for the wedding. What does the wedding have to do with me? Why should I be inconvenienced from having a meal and a drink? Kiki Witz hosting an event should not affect any other guests staying there.
Inspire47225776899 (2/5): False advertising. No restaurant or pool available. - We could have booked several other resorts in the area but chose this one due to its proximity to town. Big mistake. They advertise this place as having a restaurant but we arrived to discover the restaurant is closed for the duration of our stay. While I understand that things can happen, they should have let us know in advance. How else are we supposed to eat in a jungle? We thought this would be fun jungle glamping as our bungalow had been advertised as having a private pool (photo attached). There is only one pool, it’s not private, and it’s out of commission. We wish we would have stayed at Jaguar Creek or Saatva.

hrevard (10/5): Hickox Linnsteadt Family Reunion February 2024 - We planned with Kiki Witz for a year to host a family reunion at their resort. It is a great location for touring the Cayo district. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen staff worked with our daily touring schedule providing breakfast and dinners with a menu we created with them. They also accommodated any allergies along with special requests. We had room to clear the floor in the restaurant and have both a game night and dance night. A great time was had by all over our 5 days/4 nights!!

They went out of their way to make sure everyone in our group was well cared for. The food was tasty and well presented. We enjoyed gathering by the pool.

What makes this place special is the service. We never wanted for anything. Emanuel even gave us rides to our morning meetings and picked us up in the afternoon.

LisaKama (8/5): Relaxing Home Away From Home - I stayed at the Kiki Witz for five nights in early January with my husband and two sons, ages 12 and 15. The property is beautiful. Very green and lush. Communication with the staff before arrival was excellent, and everyone was helpful and friendly once we were there. We stayed in the Cohune Villa, which had plenty of space for our family. We appreciated the space to spread out as well as the beautiful bathrooms. The only thing that was surprising to us was that while it is a two-bedroom villa, the two bedrooms are open at the top (no ceilings), so you hear everything happening in the villa. Also, because there are no ceilings, if one room wants to turn out their light and go to sleep, the others need to do so also, or else the light from the other rooms keeps all the rooms light. We had expected two distinct rooms so that our kids could keep their own schedule and we all wouldn't bother each other, but that wasn't the case. The restaurant on site serves yummy food. The menu seems to change from night to night and may not match what is on the current menu provided through a QR code, so always ask the server what's available today. Our first morning, which was December 31st, our breakfast was free, but when we came for breakfast on January 1st we were told breakfast was no longer free, so that was a bit odd. Restaurants in Belize in general move at a much slower pace than some other countries, so be prepared to spend awhile in the restaurant for each meal. The website publicizes amenities like a swim-up bar, but the one day we used the pool, the bar was not open and there was no one around. We also didn't find the nature walks advertised or the garden, but it's possible we didn't explore enough. Overall we had a lovely stay, and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Kristin (10/5): - This was my second stay here this week. There were very few other guests, and it was quiet and peaceful. David and Criston, the young kitchen and bar employees, made me feel very welcome. They were friendly and attentive, and my food and drinks were top notch.
LakeMichiganDogz (10/5): An Absolute Gem of a Place - We needed a place to stay overnight after a cave tour. Kiki Witz is set in a lush, lovely area surrounded by flowering plants and wildlife, including parrots and monkeys. The little cabin we rented was clean and comfortable, with plenty of AC. The pool is beautiful and peaceful, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. We were the only guests that evening. The dinner we ordered was unexpectedly delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked another night later in the week.
patrickpV6554ZW (8/5): Clean and convenient - Good, clean place to stay. We stayed at the glamping cabins which were small but had a nice bathroom/ shower separate room. Road traffic is a bit noisy but stops at night. The AC and the comfortable bed made it possible to have a good night sleep.

Nous n’avons pas pu bénéficier du restaurant. Sinon séjour très agréable dans l’établissement et belle piscine.
Gail (10/5): - This little property was such a surprise. Although they are in a renewed start-up and the dining room wasn't open for the dinner, the staff "Serena" was helpful in finding us a place to eat dinner. The next morning breakfast was fantastic. The only recommendation I could give the management is to put better signage at the highway. It is a bit "tucked in" and most people wouldn't know it was there. Lovely place!
Kicken (8/5): Comfortable and Relaxing - Very nice stay. Beautiful location. Quiet and relaxing. Accommodating staff - actually brought breakfast to our room so we could eat on our patio. Close to the adventures we were doing. Nice pool and enjoyable to hang out pool side. We would have appreciated more options for dining, as well as bar service availability. Overall, we would stay here again when in the area.
Navid (6/5): - The unmanned gate is locked from 11:00 pm until 6 am. You are basically locked in the property within this time frame with no staff around to let you out. I found this extremely disturbing. I had plans to leave at 11:30 pm but was unable to.
Timothy J (2/5): - There was no staff. One person ran the whole resort. Dinner was a disaster. Staff was threatening to quit. No security.
Norma (8/5): - A beautiful setting, excellent service. The Hibiscus Cabana Was well maintained and a lovely setting. Large Pool, excellent pina coladas, very good breakfast. We were the only guests there for the two nights we stayed. Giga is a excellent hostess providing us with a walking tour of the property. Only suggestion would be to have softer pillows.
Verified traveler (8/5): Mit viel Geduld und Humor gehts gut - Warum dieses Hotel nicht so funktioniert wie es könnte liegt nur am Personal. Wenn das der oder die Eigetümer tauschen oder schulen würde wäre alles gut.
Paul (4/5): - Very limited staff when we arrived. Taken to our room and showed the 3 ring binder of info for the facility. Wifi information was wrong, needs to be updated with wifi available. Next went to pool. Water level a bit low, needed to have skimmers on to remove floating leaves. It was like the pool was shutdown. Bar was at poolside but no one attending. Went inside to lobby, found new codes for wifi and asked for pool to be turned on. Waterfall at pool looked like it didn't work, but when everything was turned on it was nice. Asked for someone to make us a drink but was informed bartender was gone. Also informed that tonight we had to go into town for dinner due to the kitchen being closed. Could have been a great place, but this was the last place of 5 we stayed at in Belize and it did not measure up to others. The price was also higher than any of the others including a place on the west side of town which was wonderful. I will go to the other place again next time.
