• Dimitrios (10/5): Ultimate experience for all senses - The area where the hotel is located is exceptional. The view from the room is magical. The room itself is enormous, with all the facilities, and the best shower I have ever seen in a hotel. The complimentary sweets were absolutely delicious. Our guide, Ros, who accompanied us on our rainforest walk, was incredible! The morning sessions I attended—sound healing and hatha yoga—were completely rejuvenating. The yoga pavilion transports you to another world. The massage in the spa with Christina was really relaxing and the combination with sound healing was mind blowing. However, the best experience we had was the Chef’s Table with sous chef David, who created a six-course menu just for us—each dish better than the last. The flavors were extraordinary, and the wine pairing was excellent. The taste of the risotto is something I will never forget. The quality was on par with a three-Michelin-star restaurant. If you find yourself in the area, you must stay at Amor Arenal to have the ultimate experience at an exceptionally high level. The weather because of the rain but you are in the middle of a rainforest after all :-)

• Huneypie (10/5): If you want to forget your worries this is pure, tranquil bliss! - This place is just the dream of being in the middle of the rainforest on high ground in the casitas. The walk in shower is amazing and in a great location with a direct unobstructed view of the volcano. The staff were fantastic from the moment you arrived and the buggy guys were so informative and friendly with a very good knowledge of English informing of the wildlife or anything you need to know! Never a dull moment with the Sloths and beautiful birds surrounding you. Breakfast was delicious offering mouth watering fruit and local fresh food. Beautiful settings and the hot springs were beautifully clean and pure. My massage was so calming amongst the sound of the birds. Truly amazing experience! N/A

• DYANTHA (10/5): - Amor Arenal absolutely took my breath away. I’d put it right up there with Nayara Springs—just on a smaller, more intimate scale. The private villas are pure luxury, with stunning wooden architecture that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. Everything is thoughtfully designed for comfort: powerful AC, a dehumidifier, excellent water pressure, and perfectly hot showers. The mini fridge is a dream—stocked daily with complimentary sangria (honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had), beer, and a selection of nonalcoholic drinks. Despite the villas being side by side, the layout gives you complete privacy. You never feel like you’re sharing space; it’s your own personal sanctuary. The food was another highlight. I couldn’t get enough of the fresh fruit juices and local fruit each morning. The beef dishes were fantastic—especially the traditional beef, beans, and rice plate, and the lomo saltado, which was packed with flavor. One of my favorite features of the property was the private trails. We loved exploring them and spotting wildlife right from our own hot spring! Each morning, toucans would stop by to say hello—it felt magical. And the staff? Absolutely exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made us feel like royalty from start to finish. I honestly can’t wait to return. Amor Arenal is first-class in every way.

• Sabrina Ann (8/5): - The Spa was a disaster for me, the Lady that massaged me was brutal and would not let off the pressure either. I was in tears after it, I hope this is a one off incident. They did not charge me for it because my husband mentioned it to them which was nice, but nothing further was done. The drinks were good but way too expensive, this led us not to use the restaurant because of all the extra charges they put on top of the price mentioned. The staff was kind and helpful, the premises was beautiful but be ready to hike, very hilly, this was fine for us but may be a problem for other.

The staff are very friendly and it feels like they just want you to be happy and enjoy your stay. We celebrated our anniversary and my birthday and the staff really made an effort to make us feel special. We would definitely recommend this place and would be glad to visit again.

The hotel arranged our transfer, and I highly recommend booking that option with them. The staff greeted us warmly, check-in was smooth, and we were welcomed with local coffee and snacks. They also assisted with activity planning—don’t miss the river boat tour. We saw incredible wildlife up close, and it was a highlight of the trip. The views were breathtaking, and the room was exactly as advertised—comfortable, clean, and truly relaxing. Food options were excellent as well; no matter the time of day, we never had any issues finding something we wanted. We always felt safe, and the location offered a perfect balance of comfort and immersion in nature. If you’re planning a stay, two to three days might be ideal; five felt a bit long. The only area for improvement is the pool—it could definitely be larger. Overall, Amor Hotel delivers an unforgettable experience. If you’re picky about comfort and relaxation, like I am, you’ll find it well worth it. I wish there was a bigger pool

• Rj (10/5): A rainforest paradise - The stay at amor arenal was amazing and worth every penny to me and my wife. We enjoyed the service as they were ready to help a phone call away especially when it came to spotting wildlife like sloths or toucans. The breakfast here was amazing as well and we enjoyed the open scenery to the rainforest while eating. The rooms were open and free with an abundance of privacy which made it perfect with the scenes of the rainforest and on clear days you can see the amazing volcano.

The concierge, valet, and everyone in the resort were so friendly and accommodating. They treated us like we are family. Every time we dine in the restaurant they knew who we are and accommodated my son who is gluten free. I would highly recommend this resort. Our room has our own jacuzzi and amazing views of the arenal volcano. Our shower has rain shower head and Amazing view of the volcano as well while showering. They refill the bar every morning.

The private casita is a little sanctuary nestled in the jungle, allowing you to experience the jungle from the safety and luxurious comfort of its well-crafted rooms. You will feel like a cast member in The White Lotus. The best parts: 1. The view of the Arenal volcano is stunning, but clouds often hide it. That's ok because there is plenty to look at with complex patterns of tropical plants crossing a valley and ridges. 2. Wake to the sound of parrots and howler monkeys 3. Sip morning coffee from your own personal deck and hot tub. 3. Take a dip in your choice of three beautiful pools - one with a swim-up bar that is heated and a cool pool with a waterfall. 4. Animal sightings - from snakes, to green-eyed tree frogs, slots, parrots, monkeys. 5. The grounds are meticulously cared for - secluded and safe with stone pathways, an open air restaurant, meditation decks and two hiking trails on property that are the right amount of challenge. 6. Extremely accommodating service and staff. You really don't have to (or will want to) leave the property. They have everything you need from a coffee house and gym on premise to a spa and trails. My only recommendation for the hotel is better weather stripping beneath the doors so that the jungle stays out. We had a couple of gecko and bug visitors that managed their way in. Who could blame them, though!

There are golf carts to take you everywhere around the property at anytime and umbrellas available on every corner in case of rain. The food and service was amazing each time. We had the same waitress our whole entire stay(Cindy) who was super sweet and patient with us! Cindy is amazing. We are so happy we met her. Every other staff member we interacted with was awesome as well and very helpful. This property was very romantic and intimate. It also had everything we needed. THANK YOU AMOR ARENAL!

Deck hot tub is the place to be with an amazing view. Dining was very good and staff were ultra attentive and accommodating.

• Kimberly (10/5): Amor Arenal is a paradise within La Fortuna. - There was so much to like about Amor Arenal. We were thankful upon arrival that the hotel room truly looked as advertised online. The surrounding areas of the property were beautiful and the staff often offered a golf cart ride for convenience. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. When my friends and I decided to book impromptu activities and massages within a tight schedule, the staff patiently worked with us to meet our requests. Their customer service was exceptional and that alone is reason to return to Amor Arenal. The food onsite was great! Although we did not have time for a complete breakfast, the hotel offered us complimentary fruit and oatmeal while we waited for our to go order. Frankly, the fruit and oatmeal in itself was so delicious we did not need the additional food we ordered. However, the breakfast burritos we ordered were delicious and a great to go option. The burrito had a wonderful balance of flavor that incorporated plantains and black beans. If any guest has an excursion booked, I’d recommend ordering the burritos. Additionally, the pre-planned multi course meal provided great service and the food was memorable. The views are beautiful and every hotel room seems to have a view of the volcano. You feel safe on their hotel grounds and the location works well for excursion pickups. The hotel does appear to air on the side of couples, but friends feel just as welcome. I would recommend this property to others! There was not a single thing I did not like. If something didn’t work out or we needed an accommodation, the staff did their best to meet our expectations, and often surpassed them. Our hotel room did run out of hot water in the morning, but a call to the receptionist fixed that issue within 5 minutes.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Customer Service: Gina Sepulveda - Gina Sepulveda, operations manager, was the most rude, hostile employee our family has encountered in all of our travels. We had reservations and plans for months largely due to traveling with a disabled daughter. We traveled from the US and upon arrival at the hotel gate Gina stopped us and told us that we were not allowed on the property. That my family of 5 needed to make other arrangements due to the fact that we had a 12 year old, not their 13 year old minimum age policy. NO ONE had communicated this policy to us once during months of prior communication to set up spa treatments, wheelchair access, etc. My girls were told to go sit to the side while we waited 45 minutes to speak with the hotel manager. My 12 year old was in tears because she was made to feel like this was all of her fault. This treatment by Gina Sepulvedo was cruel, aggressive, and the opposite of "Pure Vida". Costa Rica is a beautiful place and we had a wonderful experience until this heartbreaking and humiliating encounter. Our last night of vacation. Gina, you should be ashamed of yourself and Amor Arenal, you need to do better. Customer service and how you treat people is everything. Fortunately, the Springs Resort welcomed our family last minute and treated us with the same kindness and hospitality we had been shown throughout Costa Rica.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, the room was beautiful and the facilities in the room were brilliant. All staff were incredible, from check in to the restaurants. The food at the restaurant was also incredible! We managed to see the volcano from our room and the restaurant, so beautiful. It isn’t walking distance to anything but that didn’t matter for us. The yoga & meditation platform was under construction while we were there unfortunately but other than that, it was faultless!
• Mia (10/5): A bucket list jewel for nature lovers - Absolutely everything. The location is spectacular and the staff are not only consummately professional but also extremely kind and helpful. We spent two unforgettable days in unparalleled luxury within a beautiful and mystical rainforest. Watch for incredible wildlife including monkeys, sloths, and all manner of exotic birds. Amor Arenal is a bucket list jewel close to the awe inspiring volcano; it is an absolute must for nature lovers and thrill seekers. We loved staying here! Having to leave.

• Jacqueline (10/5): Beautiful setting, stunning property, amazing food and staff! - Outstanding stay at Amor Arenal. The property exceeded our expectations and was set in beautiful lush gardens. Each casita is completely private and huge with floor to ceiling windows in the shower looking to the volcano (it was completely clouded over the time we were there unfortunately but still was absolutely fantastic). We did the yoga class both mornings we were there with different instructors each day - both fantastic and it was great to do this in the open air covered studio. The pool area and wet bar were an oasis and when the rain stopped we saw lots of hummingbirds, wild turkeys and a boar! The breakfast included was delicious and healthy and we are both nights in the restaurant - also delicious and without fault! Finally the staff were amazing - friendly, attentive and plentiful. Cannot fault this property and experience, we definitely want to come back! Everything was perfect!

• Kelly (10/5): Paradise in the jungle - Arenal Amor is an incredible piece of paradise! The serene atmosphere and stunning views make this place unforgettable, but what truly made our stay magical was the top-notch spa and service from the staff. We had the best massage of our lives—it was pure perfection. The therapists were incredibly skilled, and the tranquil open-air setting elevated the entire experience. To top it off, we were treated to the enchanting sight of monkeys playing in the trees during our massage! It felt like something out of a dream. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and fresh. Nothing quite like starting your day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee while toucans flutter through the trees. Special thanks to Jogebeth, whose warmth and impeccable service made our stay even more special. From her attention to detail to her genuine care for our comfort, she went above and beyond. Arenal Amor is a slice of paradise! Perfect

• Kari (10/5): Amazing stay in luxury bungalow in the middle of the rainforest! - This resort is amazing! We did not want to leave. Our bungalow with private outdoor hot spa was a delight. We were able to hear the howling monkeys up close and also see many birds and a beautiful green frog. Large windows in the shower and room immersed you in the forest. Very clean. The bungalow we stayed in was downhill from the main areas of the hotel and so we utilized the friendly, prompt golf cart service to get around. Daily included breakfast was a delicious. Definitiy check out the easy hiking trail and the on site gym. The service was very prompt, warm and welcoming. Hope to return again! Nothing at all.

• Ritter (10/5): The most relaxing and rejuvenating trip. - It was clean and creepy crawly free. Everyone did such a great job to keep the grounds clean and safe. They went above and beyond. Any question I had it was answered and always good recommendations. I can’t say one thing. Everything was amazing.

• Graham (10/5): Absolutely amazing hotel in a great location for exploring Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna. The staff are all incredible a - The room and facilities were stunning. The location is great with amazing views of the volcano. The staff are all fabulous - incredibly attentive and helpful. We have never been to any hotel anywhere in the world where the staff were so good. They really wanted to do everything for us to make sure we had a fantastic time. Nothing at all. Everything was perfect.

All the staff are genuine and truly amazing. Jogebeth, I have to mention is a gem that the owner needs to know how special she is and how much she was a deciding factor in me officially securing our stay in CR at Amor Arenal. Thank you thank you thank you for making my wife’s birthday exceptionally memorable!!!!

I loved our stay, and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend much needed time with their significant other. • Tracy (10/5): Gorgeous rooms and views! - The rooms and views were absolutely fantastic! We loved the breakfasts too. We enjoyed the hiking trail and pool as well as seeing wildlife. The initial stock of mini bar items for free was great!
